TBO: Thank you all for requesting for Kaneki's appearance, and giving me ideas for a Siblings + Ken chapter.
Prompt: Touka gets a Tutor for Classic Lit. :)
So here's a small preview for the upcoming prompt.
Classic Literature…
Yeah, she hated the mundane subject.
Tap.
Well, maybe despise was a better word for it.
Why did she despite it?
Tap.
Maybe it was her teacher?
It was probably that most books in the class put her to sleep.
Nah, it was definitely her teacher. That irrational bitch that was so harsh at grading-
Beep.
"Hello?" A voice answered her, sounding very boyish to her. Touka jumped slightly, having been wrapped up too much in her thoughts and stopped strumming her fingertips against the table. She grabbed the handset and held her lips close to the receiver.
"Hello, this is Touka Kirishima." She mumbled lowly. The house was quiet and her younger brother was asleep. She wanted to keep it that way. She raised the slip of paper to her face and squinted her eyes. "And is this Kaneki Ken?" She asked skeptically. She folded the slip of paper and sighed into the phone. "Look, I was directed to you because you were hosting a private tutoring program..."
"I'm sorry; did you make an appointment?"
Touka pinched the bridge of her nose in annoyance. "I'm the one who called you on Friday, about needing your help in Classical Literature. Touka Kirishima. Ring a bell?" She asked, frustrated with the young man on the other line.
There was a slight pause.
"Oh! I completely forgot! Touka-Chan, hold on for a second please-"
Touka eyebrows furrowed as he put her on hold. Touka-Chan...? She thought in slight disgust.
That name didn't fit her at all.
"Hide, someone called!"
"Really? That's great, Kaneki!"
Touka heard an all too familiar sound from her brother's bedroom and broke out in cold sweat. "Uh hello? Kaneki? Monday at 4:30?" She suggested to him, her voice getting higher, with nervousness. Please answer. Please answer.
"Great! I'll be able to meet up with you. And where are we meeting up at exactly?"
Touka frantically looked over her shoulder restlessly. "Your high school campus would be fine." She whispered. There seemed to be very loud cries of "it's a date! it's a date!" on the other end of the line, but Touka didn't pay any attention to it. "Uh...hello?"
"Hide-no! Stop it! It is not a date! I am so sorry Touka-Chan. I don't think that meeting up at the campus would be a great idea. Tomorrow's weather forecast-" Touka could hear slow and light footsteps and her heart beat increased a little.
"WE ARE MEETING THERE AND THAT'S FINAL! BYE!" She yelled, exasperated with the many questions that the boy was asking. Please hang up. Please hang up.
"Oh, yes! That sounds fine. Bye, bye Touka-Cha-"

...Whoops.
She hoped that he wouldn't hold it against her for hanging up on him. The blue haired girl slowly glanced over her shoulder to see her younger brother that had woken up from his sleep. How long has he been standing there? Please don't tell me that he heard the whole thing...She begged, which was pretty out of character for her. Her brother was definitely the last person that she would ever tell.
Ayato stood a few feet away from the teen girl, with his blanket in hand, and his other hand rubbing the sleep from his eyes. He stared at his older sister in suspicion and Touka returned it with a glare.
"What are you doing? Do you know time it is, Aneki?"
"6:09 AM. Do you?" She retorted, ignoring his question, much to the younger boy's annoyance.
Ayato raised an eyebrow, and pointed at the phone in her hands. "Who were you talking to?" He asked, blatantly ignoring her retort. Touka placed the phone on the table and ripped the small slip of paper to little pieces. "And why were you on the phone so early? It better have not been some a human..." He mumbled, rubbing his other hand. Touka placed the ripped paper in the trash can beside the table and folded her hands across her chest.
I definitely can't let him find out. I don't have much money to pay for another phone this time...
"Why do you care?"
"Cause I can't trust you."
"Why's that?"
"Cause you're an idiot and you do stupid things."
"Stupid things? Like what? I don't do stupid things."
"Haaaa? Getting drunk. Twice. And both times, getting in a car with a drunk driver? Yeah that screams stupid." Ayato retorted curtly.
Touka snorted in disbelief. "At least I wasn't the one who almost got us killed over a stupid username on social media. Do you know what kind of shit Yomo and the old man had to go through in order to make sure that our computer wasn't tracked by the CCG?" She snarled, pointed her index finger accusingly at the navy blue haired boy.
Ayato pinched the bridge of his nose in annoyance and turned away from her. "You're so stupid." Then he walked back into his room, slamming the door loudly. A tick mark appeared on Touka's forehead and she heaved a loud frustrated sigh.
"Well you're an immature little snot nosed brat!" She countered. Unfortunately, she was rewarded with silence.
Tap.
The fact that she was assigned a human tutor,
was another reason why she despised Classical Literature.
TBO: Yeah it's pretty short, and I hope you enjoy the preview. Cuz I will be enjoying writing the next chapter :)
