With my hand placed against the glass, i looked at the view of the city. Everything looked so small from up here. The lights from the carnival nothing but a blurry.

"The view is amazing." My voice came out as a hoarse whisper.

"I know." I felt Fours breath against my neck. "Definitely something worth seeing."

To hide my obvious shiver, I took a step forward and faced Four, so there were a few centimeters between us.

"Better than those crazy rides, huh?" I laughed.

Four scratched the back of his neck, nodding slowly.

"So," I took a seat. "What's the deal with that?"

"Which?" Four raised his eyebrows.

"You and rides."

He laughed tensely. "What do you mean?"

"C'mon, Four. I was right next to you. I saw how your hands gripped the handle bars. How your breath-"

"Its nothing." He snapped.

I looked at him suddenly. "Its, Its nothing bad, Four. You're allowed to be afraid of rides."

"I'm not afraid of rides."

"Okay then. Not rides but heights."

"If I was afraid of heights I wouldn't be on this ride with you, would I?"

"Maybe you are." I suggested.

"What?" He looked really confused now.

"You haven't stepped anywhere near the window. You've stayed as far away as you possibly can."

Four sighed and turned to walk away. Before he could, I stood and grabbed his arm. His eyes traveled up my arm to my face.

"You don't have to be embarrassed. We all have fears."

"I just." He sighed. "I've never told anybody."

"And you don't have to. I'm not going to tell anyone, Four."

Our eyes locked and suddenly, the space between us had gotten smaller.

"Thank you." He whispered. I felt his hot breath against my lips.

Taking a chance I took a step closer, and Four's hand went up to brush my hair behind my ear. Just as I felt myself slipping closer, the floor below us jolted as we started to lower. I turned away before Four could see the blush on my cheeks. Once we stepped of the Ferris Wheel I felt a tugging on my arm.

"There you guys are!" I spun around to see Christina behind me. "Come on, we found this amazing ice cream parlor, you have to see!"

Within a few minutes, we took up the whole corner of the place. Christina, Will, Marlene, Uriah and I took up one booth. Four, Zeke, Shauna and Lynn were in the other. Uriah and Zeke ordered all of us ice cream and brought it to us.

"So, Tris," Christina nudged me. "What were you doing alone with Four?"

I glared at her. "Keep your voice down!" I whispered.

She laughed and I noticed Marlene was listening too. Thank god Uriah and Will were having their own conversation.

"It's not like that. We just went on the Ferris Wheel."

"But you want it to be like that?" Christina smirked.

"I swear, sometimes you live in your own head. I'm pretty sure Four doesn't even see me that way."

"Yeah," She rolled her eyes. "You keep thinking that."

I wasn't sure what she meant but chose to ignore it.

"This ice cream is so good." Moaned Uriah. I laughed. "But it could be put to better use."

"What do you mean?" Will asked.

Uriah eyed me. "Tris, I dare you to throw some at Four."

"What? Why me?"

"Honestly? I don't fancy getting punched in the face, and Four won't do anything to you."

"Then what's the point?" I laughed.

"Because its funny. And it's a dare"

I thought about it. I suppose it was only fun. And its only ice cream. I shoveled some onto my spoon and held it back by the tip at the top. Letting go, the ice cream slung from my spoon and before seeing where it landed, I took off from my seat sprinting away, leaving the laughter behind. Rounding a corner I headed in the direction of the first ride we went on. As I got nearer, I took a sharp turn down into an alleyway. Peering around the corner, I saw Four heading in my direction. Creeping deeper into the alley, I leaned against the wall and waited for him to pass. My phone beeped and I looked down to see a text message from Christina. "you better be hiding." I started to laugh when I felt a pair of hands clamp down on my waist. I screamed and looked up to see an angry looking Four. I could see the ice cream around his nose and bit my lip to hold back the laughter.

"You think this is funny?"

I couldn't hold it in anymore and I laughed. "Actually, I do."

"I swear to god, Tris." Four sighed.

"What?"

He stared at me like he was thinking about something, then suddenly wiped his nose against my cheek. The cold ice cream spread against my skin and I laughed loudly. Four's hands were still against my waist and my back was against the wall. We had never been this close before. Our breathing merged into one. I looked up and Four's eyes were already on mine. His head lowered and my chin automatically lifted. His lips brushed against mine and sent chills throughout my body. My eyes drifted shut and my hands hooked around his neck.
