It was a normal day for the Scandinavian family, with the four children playing around the house while Ancient Scandinavia, or Scandinavia for short, worked. Well, it was more like Denmark was trying to get the others to play with him with Sweden quietly played with Finland and Norway with Iceland. That was what their day was like until a little while after lunch, when a knock sounded on the door of their home, causing Scandinavia to look up from his work and go to answer it. He was a bit surprised when he saw Ancient Rome and Germania standing there, but he let them in, smiling politely at them. Meanwhile, the four children, having heard the knock on the door, looked out from inside the room they were currently in and watched as Rome and Germania sat down on chairs in their sitting room and quickly hid their faces when the two guests turned to look at them. Rome laughed and turned to Scandinavia with a smile.
"Ahh are those four your children?" He asked, smiling at the young nations, who were shyly peeking out from behind the wall. Scandinavia nodded and waved the four over, and they walked up behind him, hiding behind his legs, except Denmark, who was holding onto Scandinavia's hand and staring at the strangers.
"Ja, they are my children." The older country answered, placing a hand on Denmark's head. "This here is Danmark. And the others are Sweden, Finland, Norway, and Iceland." He said, pointing to the respective child when he said their names. Rome smiled and waved at them, his love for children showing in his smile.
"Hello there little ones! I am the Great Roman Empire, and this here is my friend, Germania. We came here to talk to your papa." He said, smiling widely and introducing the more stoic empire next to him, who nodded.
"Hallo there." He said, giving the children a small smile. The four stared for a second before Denmark smiled back and walked up to Rome, climbing onto his lap, and was followed by Finland, who sat down next to the taller, brown-haired empire. Sweden followed and stood next to him, staring up in awe at the two empires. Norway and Iceland wandered over to Germania and little Iceland climbed up onto the long-haired blonde's lap, staring up at him with wide violet eyes. Norway sat down next to him and held Iceland's hand, his face showing no emotion, but his eyes portraying curiosity as he looked up at Germania. Scandinavia chuckled quietly and smiled.
"They seem to like you. Anyway, in going to get some drinks. Would you two like anything?" He asked. They shook their heads and smiled down at the children. Denmark just stared up at Rome for a while before skipping widely and asking him if he wanted to play with him, and Rome blinked but agreed, which caused Finland to get jealous and whine quietly about how he wanted Rome to play with him while Sweden glared at Denmark for making his playmate sad. The empire just laughed.
"I can play with both of you. We can even include Uncle Germania in our games." He said, pointing to the other empire. The two arguing children stopped fighting and smiled widely, each taking a hand of one of the older nations' and pulling them along to play. Rome laughed and stood, and Germania set Iceland down and held onto his other hand before standing, following the other three children into the room they were playing in before and playing with them.
When Scandinavia returned and found the room empty of his guests and children, he blinked in surprise and wondered where they were. He heard noises from the other room and walked in to find the two, older nations playing with the four younger ones, who were, surprisingly, not fighting. He watched for a while with a smile and laughed when Denmark was able to get the usually stoic Germania to play a "princess" that they had to save and chuckled while he watched the four attack Rome, who was the dragon they had to save the "princess" from, and smiled as they collapsed on one another when they were done playing, falling asleep peacefully and letting their older playmates rest.
"That was fun!" Rome said, laughing quietly and walking out of the room, followed by Germania, who nodded in agreement.
"We should play with children more often." Germania said, nodding to Scandinavia as they walked out.
"Si! We should. Bye Scandinavia!" Rome said, waving to the blond nation standing in the doorway of his house, completely forgetting why they even came to his house in the first place.

Just a quick drabble about the Nordics with Uncle Rome and Uncle Germania. This was set probably before Italy and Holy Rome were established, but probably not long before. It is not meant to be historically accurate, so any inaccuracies are accidents.
