So this is it. The final Chapter. I'm sorry it took so long but I did it in the end.

In that moment she broke. She shattered completely. She was paralysed. Silent tears were flowing freely down her face and for the first time in her life she just let them flow.

She didn't know how long she knelt there. She thought she would've knelt there forever if Tyler hadn't come back.

'Emily, do you know your car door is wide open down here?' he called, when he got no reply he dropped the bags on the counter and started up the stairs, 'Hello?'

As he reached the top of the stairs he knew something was wrong. He moved round the sofa and saw them both on the floor coated in blood. He held his breath hoping for some kind of explanation.

She turned to him and pulled him into her. He rested his head on her shoulder. When he pulled away he looked at Nolan his eyes desperate and pleading. He moved closer and she fell back against the sofa to give him some room. He bent down and kissed him on the forehead, 'I'll take good care of her' he whispered

He shuffled back and leant against the sofa taking her hand and gently squeezing it.

'I'm pregnant' she whispered 'I never got the chance to tell him' she burst into fresh tears '..and..and I know how much he wanted a baby…how..much it hurt when I lost the first'

He pulled her into him and rocked her gently. After a while she calmed slightly. 'We need to call the police' he said softly she nodded and moved away from him. For the first time she turned her back to him and walked to the phone on the wall next to the TV.

Twenty minutes later they arrived, the photographed them both and took their clothes before taking them away separately for questioning.

They asked her question after question, her movements, about her gun, about her relationship with Nolan and finally about the evidence against the Graysons to which her reply was simply 'Yes, that was me' the officer raised an eyebrow at this point 'I've tried to expose them before but it seems they have some people in your department who can make things disappear'.

The kept them for questioning for two more days before they released her in the morning and Tyler that evening.

He found her sitting on the beach, waves almost touching her toes, staring into the vast inky blackness. He'd only spotted her thanks to the moonlight making her hair glow silver.

He sat down next to her silent for a minute before 'How long have you been here?'

'Well it was light when I got here' she replied 'When did they release you?'

'About 5 o'clock… Ems why are we here?'

She sighed 'This is where it all started, 6 months ago. I came to think and you I assume were looking for me.'

He nodded thoughtfully 'You're much more sentimental than people think aren't you?' It wasn't really a question so he was surprised when she answered it.

'Everything matters, all the places, all the people, all the things that happen they shape you, change you. But things fade away and sometimes you need something to cling to, so you know who you are. I'm always closest to things in the places, the important places. The places are still there even if the things aren't'

He wasn't quite sure what to say to that and was relieved when she started speaking again though her tone worried him.

'I don't know what to do. I don't know what to do about this thing,' she said pointing at her stomach 'I don't know what to do about Nolan. He made me promise no more revenge. He made me.' She seemed angry but when she spoke again there was something different something real like nothing else before was really important 'What if it reminds me of him? What if I can't live with the reminder that it was all my fault.'

'Ok I can't tell you what to do about this but I can tell you that you need to get out of this place tonight, I'm going to take you to a Hotel away from here and you're going to have a hot bath and sleep. And after that I'll tell you what I think he would want.'

Soon she found herself being lowered into a large bath, she had no idea how she got here she'd been lost in thought all the way. Once she had washed off what remained of her makeup and lay in the hot water for a while he helped her out and wrapped her in a warm fluffy towel and walked her to the bed.

He pushed back the cream and gold silk sheets and gesture for her. She slid in running her fingers over the pretty oriental pattern then turned onto her side away from him. He left the room and she suddenly felt very alone.

By the time he came back a few minutes later she was crying forcefully again. He walked round to the other side of the bed

'Nolan would want you to take this chance and leave and give the child all the love that he would've given it and never tell it how its father died, to tell them how brilliant he was but never let them take revenge. He'd want you to live, both of you.'

She stayed till she had her baby. She had kept his ashes with her for nearly 9 months now. She knew it was time that she would only be able to let go when she knew the other part of him was safe. She knew she couldn't stay here forever. Suddenly a quote popped into her head 'It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live' she had to leave. She scattered his ashes on the place where they had first kissed. Where he had saved her.

A few weeks later she was putting the last bag in the car, it was done they were leaving the place where so much bad had happened. She sighed and shut the car door. She spent the hour before they left walking around visiting all the places they had been together ending up at the beach. She sat where it happened.

'Hey Nolan. I'm sorry you never got to meet your daughter. She looks like you, she's beautiful.. We named her after you. I'm leaving soon, we're moving away I'm sorry I can't stay but I think you already know. Goodbye Nolan. I love you.'

She wiped the tears from her face and got up, immediately flashing back to the first night. She laughed and walked back to her waiting family.

Though she moved away whenever she was near she visited the spot on the beach. And when her daughter got older she took them to see Jack and Amanda. She watched as Carl, their daughter Sammy and their other son David all played happily with Nolan. Whenever she was worried she looked at that brilliant blond young girl she saw all the possibilities all the things that never happened and she knew how proud he would have been.

That's it guys… Idk I may rewrite some stuff later but basically I'm done. Thank you if you've stayed with it till the end. x
