A/N: So, I've re-watched the show and I realized something.
I find the character-flaws annoying.
I know characters need flaws but the flaws in the series are so over the top that you get tired of them after watching them for a certain amount of time. It's a wonder that Tsuna hasn't smashed his head in with just how annoying the people he surround himself with are.
So, with this in mind. I'm going to tone down the character flaws. I'm going to let the characters keep their flaws but they won't be so over the top as before.
Meaning:
Gokudera will still be a hot-head but he won't throw dynamites around him at every little thing.
Yamamoto will still be an ignorant happy-go-lucky person but he will be serious enough when it need to be.
Ryohei will still be extreme, but not to the point of him screaming your ears off.
Lambo will still be a hyperactive kid (when happy) that easily gets upset, but not upset enough that he starts throwing grenades around or pull out the 10-year bazooka.
Hibari will still be a protective bad-boy with a fear of crowds, but he will not be just as bloodthirsty about it.
Mukuro is one of the people that won't be changed that much as in the series, he was not given that many scenes to allow his personality flaws to become annoying or tiring, he may become slightly more ruthless but that is still up to interpretation, the most that will happen is that he will obsess more over winning Tsuna over as a person in stead of possessing her.
Basically speaking. I forced them to grow up and face reality.
As for who she will end up with in the end...
I'll let you guess your way to that answer.
I will tell you this though.
This will NOT be an R27. I do not understand why people like R27. If you want this to be an R27 you go look elsewhere and read something different if you cannot accept Tsuna being with someone that is not Reborn.
Target five: Bianchi the poisoned scorpion.
Life with Lambo in the house was... eventful to say the least.
It wasn't even remotely close to the level of annoyance the kid managed to reach in the series and Tsuna was grateful for that, but he was still loud when he was exited. Not to mention, he had developed the habit of running into her room early in the morning when she was still asleep and jump on top of her as his mean of waking her up.
The first few mornings, it was actually kind of cute but after almost a month of him doing the exact same thing... Tsuna was lucky that she had managed to develop a reflex that allows her to listen to the tingle between her shoulder-blades. The tingle that forewarns impending doom a few seconds before it actually happens. Or in this case, impending annoyance.
Something that Nana did differently from the series (most likely because the boy is older now) was enroll Lambo into the local elementary school.
When he had found out about this, he hadn't been that happy but Tsuna and Nana managed to convince Lambo that if he went to school he would become smart, and if he became smart he could become a big strong man in the future with many people following him due to his intellect. Thankfully, that was enough to win him round.
As for Reborn, he didn't do much, he just kind of was there, tutoring Tsuna and ignoring the very existence of Lambo just like he did when Lambo first arrived in the series, only this time, Lambo couldn't care less what Reborn did, he just wanted to be a normal kid which had surprised Tsuna when he had first said it.
"Lambo wants to be normal?" she had asked once when they were walking towards school. Namimori elementary was on the very same road to Namimori high so the two of them often made company the short road before Lambo disappeared to his own class.
"Yes." he had answered, his fingers tightening around her hand. "Lambo-san had been a mafiso since Lambo-san was born, so now, Lambo-san wan't to know what it is like to be a normal kid." he looked up at the young woman he liked to call his sister. "At least until Lambo-san is old and strong enough to be Tsuna-nee-chan's subordinate!"
When Tsuna had taken the kid in, it didn't take long before he made a loud declaration that he would join the Vongola family, and he would be the most powerful bodyguard of his surrogate sister the Vongola has ever known.
Well... good to know he's found a dream...
As for when the people of her school found out that her family has practically adopted a seven year old from Italy, the reactions were, all over the place.
Some thought she was being too kind to the boy.
Some thought she had gone and become a saint (she laughed a little at that).
Some thought she had gone and gone insane for doing something like that.
Some thought she was lying until they actually saw her with the boy.
As for her group of friends...
Hana's reaction was:
"Just don't expect me to come over any time soon."
Kyoko's reaction was:
"Do you think I could come over for a visit some time? I would very much like to meet him."
And Gokudera's reaction was:
"Stupid brat, taking up Juudaime's precious time and space."
She hadn't been talking much with Yamamoto since she revealed her heritage, but she could feel his thoughtful glances whenever he was close enough to see her. It made her wonder...
Just what was he thinking?
Gokudera was the only one in class that has gotten to meet Lambo.
It had been the day of Lambo's first day of school.
Gokudera had been standing outside the gates like usual, smiling widely when he saw Tsuna walk out, but then he frowned when he saw a seven year old walk out behind her, Tsuna had even waited below the stairs for him and when the kid was half-way down she had taken his hand.
Gokudera had not been happy at the sight.
"Juudaime..." he called out, making the two turn towards him, he stepped aside when they went through the gate. "Who is this?"
To his distaste, it hadn't been Juudaime that answered.
"This is Lambo-san!" the kid had declared loudly, shaking his arms in a way that shook Juudaime's arm as well, but she only rolled her eyes at the kid's antics. "Lambo-san is Tsuna-nee-chan's new brother!" he jumped happily into the air. "Lambo-san is going to grow big, powerful and smart, and then, he is going to become Tsuna-nee-chan's subordinate." he placed his free hand on his hip, looking so smug and pleased with himself at what he has said.
Gokudera's eyebrow twitched.
This little pipsqueak wants to become Juudaime's subordinate?
He looked at his Juudaime and was horrified to see her actually smiling at the brat.
"Not until Lambo-san has grown big, powerful and smart though." the brat looked up at her. "Onee-chan wouldn't want Lambo to injure himself when he's still young."
"No!" the brat shook their arms again. "Lambo-san is going to be a normal kid first, then he is going to be an awesome mafiso!"
"Good." Juudaime had turned towards Gokudera, finally giving him some attention in stead of the brat. "We'd better leave now." Gokudera nodded, he noticed how Juudaime's grip on the brats hand tigtened a little, letting the kid know she was talking about him now. "Wouldn't want this little one getting late on his first day now would we?"
And then they were off. Heading down the road towards their respective schools.
The days kind of continued like that, Gokudera just had to bite his tung and accept the fact that they had a third person joining them on the road to school for a few streets before he disappeared into another building and it was him and his Juudaime again. He was just glad that the kid was a lot less annoying than he had expected him to be. He could see signs that the kid had been worse when he was younger so he was happy both he and his Juudaime was spared the annoyance of a far too loud and hyperactive kid.
It was around the time Lambo started joining them on the road to school that Tsuna started to feel someone watching them as they walked. They weren't ill meaning but the gaze still sent shivers running down her spine from the back of her neck.
It could only be Haru.
Thank heavens that the girl still kept her distance. Tsuna had nothing against Haru, she just hoped that the girl wasn't Bi-sexual so that she would become in love with her.
That would just be...
No.
Anyway...
So about a month passed with nothing big happening.
Wel... Yamamoto finally had his cast removed and immediately started to train up the withered muscled, while keeping in mind that he had to let the muscles rest and recuperate after every training session.
When Yamamoto had returned to class without the cast, the whole class had surrounded him with congratulations. Well, apart from Hana who was just... Hana and Tsuna with her right hand man who were sitting at their desks. Well, Tsuna was sitting at her desk, Gokudera was leaning against the desk in front of her and they were watching the crowd. Gokudera glaring and Tsuna gently smiling.
It wasn't until the start of June that something actually happened.
That morning, at the airport, a woman with long waves of lavender hair stepped off the plain, dragging a bag behind her.
Flipping her hair over her shoulders, she took off her sunglasses.
"I won't let you go again." she muttered to herself.
The day had started off very much like any other, only with one small difference.
Gokuder was on duty that morning, something that Tsuna forced him to actually do, so Tsuna was left to walk the road to school alone with Lambo until they reached the elementary school, from which she continued on her own.
She should have known something would happen that day. The tingle at the small of her back had developed into a major itching sensation that very morning, it was driving her insane.
Suddenly, it stopped.
It would happen, now.
Sure enough, at that very moment she heard the distinct noise of a bike driving up from behind her.
Turning around, Tsuna noticed a woman in her early twenties drive up to her on what could be nothing but a mommy bike, but she had a motorcycle helmet on, hiding the faceless head to the blind girl she stopped in front of.
Though it wasn't needed.
Tsuna already knew who it was hiding underneath that helmet.
Bringing her hands up to take off the hideous helmet, long waves of velvet hair cascaded down the woman's shoulders and down her back. Though that didn't matter to Tsuna, the woman was faceless to her so she could make whatever charming expression she wanted and Tsuna would remain indifferent.
It appeared as though that is exactly what the woman had been doing because she suddenly radiated this air of confusion around her, though she quickly recovered.
Reaching into the basket on the bike's handle, the woman picked up a can of soda and threw it at Tsuna.
"You can have this."
Of course, Tsuna didn't catch it.
She could smell the poison within that can the second it flew into the air. So, in stead of catching it, she moved her head slightly to the side and let it fly over her shoulder, hearing it opening as it cluttered to the ground behind her.
She remained facing the woman.
"Gokudera-kun told me never to accept foods and drinks from strangers." she narrowed her eyes as she woman's shock grew at the mention of her right-hand-man's name. "Especially from foreigners."
That said, Tsuna turned on her heel and continued walking.
As for the woman...
Who cares?
Tsuna really didn't know what to think when she found Yamamoto outside the school gates that morning, his arms crossed in front of his chest and leaning against the concrete wall that surrounded the building.
"Yamamoto-san?" she asked tentatively, slowing down in her steps until she stood right in front of him.
Opening his eyes, Yamamoto pinned her with the most serious gaze he could muster, a gaze she could remember only appeared on him whenever he meant business. Meaning, whenever his hitman instincts kicked in.
Tsuna felt herself shiver.
No matter what everyone else said, or how much Tsuna had refused to allow Yamamoto to be in the mafia in the series. The man in front of her could be nothing else.
He was a natural born hitman.
"I have been thinking." Yamamoto's words were steady, low, indicating that he wasn't playing any kind of game with her right now.
"About what..." she found herself asking, taking one step backwards.
What could this young man possibly have been thinking about the past month? She had noticed that he had been unusually quet ever since she revealed her heritage to him, but she had brushed it off as him wanting to keep his distance as he came to terms with what she had told him.
The out-of-character seriousness bothered her a bit.
"Tsuna." taking a step forward, Yamamoto grabbed her by her shoulders. "Let me join the family."
She blinked.
"What did you just say?"
"I want you to let me join your mafia organization."
She blinked again.
So she had heard right after all...
Slowly, she brought up her hands to remove his from her shoulders.
"Why would Yamamoto-san want to enter a life full of danger?"
Yamamoto let his arms drop to his sides, though his eyes never once left her, and those serious eyes never wavered.
"You saved my life, Tsuna." his hands clenched into tight fists. "Now I want to repay you by protecting yours."
The two of them stood there, facing one another though only one was truly looking at the other. Neither of them saying a word.
Sighing, Tsuna brought her hand up to rub the bridge of her nose.
"I suppose there is nothing I can say to change your mind?" she asked, though it was more of a mutter really.
Yamamoto shook his head.
"There is not."
She sighed again, throwing her hand down.
"Fine then, you have my approval." she felt the air around Yamamoto lighten, the seriousness melting into an aura of relieved happiness. She helt up her finger. "Though don't expect Gokudera-kun to be as easy to win over."
Yamamoto only laughed at this.
"I expect not."
Throwing his arm around Tsuna's shoulders, he steered the two of them inside the building.
Neither of them was aware of the silver-haired smoker staring at the scene from their classroom window, a seemingly permanent scowl plastered on his handsome features.
"Baseball-baka..." he muttered darkly as he plucked the cigarette from between his lips. "Getting so cozy with Juudaime."
The whole day that followed, Yamamoto got out of his way to get as close to Tsuna's side. Apparently it wasn't enough that his seat was directly behind her in the classroom, but he also needed to force himself over his desk whenever he could and whisper behind her ear.
This behavior of the school idol seriously ticked off the silver-haired teen sitting at the back of the room, forced to witness the interactions between the two whom had shared the same class since the start of middle-school (Tsuna had informed him of this).
When lunch-break came, Gokudera had walked right up to his boss's desk, standing at her side as she fished out her bento from her bag.
No wait...
Why did she fish out two of them? One of them having been hidden inside of a book that had had it's paged cut open too form a compartment large enough to contain the lunch-box.
"Juudaime..." Gokudera muttered when he saw her close the book again without taking the lunch-box out.
"Don't question me." was her only reply.
"I wasn't!" Gokudera said loudly, throwing his hands up into the air.
She gave him a smile as she stood up.
"Shall we go?" she asked.
She and Gokudera had sort of developed the tradition of eating on the rooftop, if it rained they sat in the staircase leading up to the roof, by the door leading straight into the rain. When Gokudera had asked Tsuna why she wanted to do that her reply had been:
"The sound of the rain is relaxing, don't you think?" and so, nothing more had been questioned about her reasons again.
Gokudera was just about to step aside to allow his Juudaime to walk first to their usual eating spot, but someone approaching his Juudaime from behind stopped him.
"What do you want, baseball-baka?" he growled.
The idol only laughed, throwing his arm around Juudaime's shoulder.
Gokudera's eyebrow twitched.
He was just about to forcibly throw the guy off of his boss, but before he could, Juudaime reached forward, placing her hand on his shoulder.
"Gokudera-kun." she had a certain tone on her voice that made Gokudera feel like she had to tell him something that he was not going like. "Let's just go to the roof, okay?"
Who was Gokudera to deny his boss?
"YOU WANT TO JOIN THE FAMILY!?" Gokudera screamed at the top of his lungs, launching to his feet as he glared down at the idol that was sitting on the left side of Tsuna.
Gokudera had refused to allow him on her right side.
"Gokudera-kun, please do not yell, we don't want everyone to hear you." Tsuna said calmly as she set her lunch-box down, unwrapping the handkerchief surrounding it.
He blinked.
"Forgive me..." he muttered, keeping his glare on the man that had invaded what used to be just him and his boss.
It was at that very moment that Tsuna lifted the lid of her lunch-box, only to immediately shut it again at the cloud of poisoned purple smoke that emerged from it. Something that Gokudera unfortunately recognized.
"That is..." he trailed off. He really, really didn't want to think about who that smoke reminded him of. His stomach ached just thinking about her.
"Good instincts Tsuna." called a very familiar voice from on top of the structure that hid the staircase, the three bellow all turned towards it's direction. "If you would have eaten that, you would have died."
There sat Reborn, his legs folded and smirking down at them.
Confused, Yamamoto nudged Tsuna with his elbow.
"Hey, Tsuna." he whispered. "Who's that?"
She sighed heavily.
"Reborn." she answered softly. "The greatest hitman to have ever lived and also my assigned tutor." of course, Yamamoto raised his eyebrow at this and glanced towards the obvious baby.
"Don't let his appearance fool you."
Yamamoto snapped his attention back to Tsuna.
"One thing you need to understand whilst in the mafia is this." she pointed towards Reborn. "Nothing is quite what it appears to be, those good at what they do can make themselves appear to be the most innocent of creatures whilst in reality they can kill you in less than a second." she tilted her head to the side. "It quite makes blindness a perk, don't you think?"
Yamamoto nodded slowly.
Obviously, he needed to be on his guard at all times in this business.
"Well said Tsuna." Reborn complemented as he tilted his fedora. Then, he turned his attention towards the other structure on the other side of the roof. "You can come out now."
Tsuna acted without thinking.
The second the door opened, she herself opened her second lunch-box that she had her mother prepare for this very occasion, a kind of lunch-box that was very good for a certain thing.
When the velvet haired woman stepped out of the structure, Tsuna scooted closer to the bomber's side.
"Long time so see Reborn." the woman spoke with the same velvety tone she had used that morning.
"That voice..." Tsuna muttered to herself, readying herself with her chopsticks.
Sure enough, at her side, Gokudera shuddered.
"A-aneki!" he exclaimed, right before he doubled over onto the concrete, clutching his stomach.
Quickly, Tsuna gently turned him over. Damping her handkerchief with her water bottle she folded the cloth over his eyes.
She felt him relaxing under her touch.
She then proceeded to use her chopsticks to pick up a piece of her food that she then forced into Gokudera's mouth, manually moving his jaw to make him chew it, washing it down with the water all the while pinching his nose to ensure that he swallowed it.
Immediately, the color started returned to his skin.
Once she was finished, she brushed him over his hair as the other's stared at her with a funny look in their eyes.
"Oi, Tsuna." she turned her head slightly in Yamamoto's direction to show that she was listening. "What was that?"
Tsuna blinked a few times before her mouth formed an 'o'.
"Well, he acted very similarly to how I act when I get cramps." blood rushed to Yamamoto's face. "So I did to him what I usually do myself when that happen." the poked gently at the cloth. "A damp cloth over the eyes helps you relax." she motioned with her hand towards the hidden lunch-box. "And a special lunch made by my mother that calms down the stomach." she sat up straight with a pleased smile on her face. "It appears that it worked."
"Well, well, well," the velvet haired woman spoke. "It would appear that my baby brother has found himself a girl that really cares for him." Tsuna couldn't see this, but the woman smiled in a loving, gentle way at the recovering teen.
"What are you doing here Bianchi?" Reborn questioned the woman, bringing the conversation back to where it had been before Tsuna went all 'mother-hen' on them.
Turning towards the baby, Bianchi's eyes glossed over.
"Reborn!" she squealed.
Yamamoto's eyes widened at the very odd reaction.
The woman started fiddling with her long locks of hair, a tinge of red covering her cheeks though Tsuna couldn't see that particular detail.
"I have been waiting for so long." she muttered with a voice that sounded as if she was in a trance. "Let's do another high-level job together."
Tsuna rolled her head, returning her attention to the bomber whom had regained enough control of his body to shift himself in a move comfortable position, but without interrupting her hand.
"I already told you Bianchi." Reborn said in the same unemotional tone. "My job is to make sure that Tsuna grows up to become a good boss."
"How horrible!" Bianchi exclaimed. "So unless the tenth is killed- I mean, dies in a horrible accident, Reborn will never be free." as she said this, she pointed a finger at said young woman, whom seemed to have forgotten about her entirely and was in stead solely focusing on her brother whom was still lying on the concrete, though it looked like he was struggling for movement.
"You can't be serious." Yamamoto muttered, instinctively taking a stance in front of the girl.
This action caused Reborn to smirk.
"That's pretty much it." Reborn answered to Bianchi's statement.
Bianchi turned back to the structure, a finger pressed against the bottom of her eye to wipe away the tears that had formed.
"Then I will remain here until I have kill- I mean, until the tenth died in a horrible accident."
"No!" rang through the air, though it wasn't for what Bianchi said, nor was it directed at Bianchi at all.
"Stay down!" Tsuna ordered as she pushed at Gokudera's shoulders, trying to keep him on the ground in stead of shooting up, obviously to try and attack his sister.
He struggled against the girls inferior strength to him, in his state she was winning, he pointed in the direction he had heard his sister speak from.
The woman in question, had stopped and turned around when Tsuna had shouted her command.
"Aniki! If you so much as touch a hair on Juudaime's head I will never forgive you!" the bomber declared, finally letting himself give in to his boss's pushing and fell back onto the comcrete, rather hard mind you but that was Gokudera's own fault.
Bianchi stood there in shock for a few seconds before she turned around and vanished from the school grounds.
Back on the roof. Reborn smirked.
This was going to be interesting.
Yamamoto had been the one to act as Gokudera's crutch as they made their way to the infirmary, if only so that the nurse could make sure that he would be good enough to go for the rest of the day.
Sitting on on of the vacant beds with a glass of water in hand, Gokudera hung his head. The other's in the room just stared at him.
He had just revealed to them the origin of his trauma (reluctantly since Yamamoto had been there) and he was now awaiting their reaction.
Tsuna was the first one to speak.
"If you want, I can teach you how to navigate without having to rely on vision."
These words sent Yamamoto laughing, though not at Gokudera's predicament, but at just how nonchalant Tsuna had talked about her blindness. Not to mention, it had been those words that broke the uncomfortable silence that had filled the room.
Gokudera just stared at the woman sitting on the bed with him.
"Juudaime..." he whispered.
"That's not a bad idea." Reborn spoke from where he was perched on the window-frame.
All three turned towards him.
"If you're kidnapped by a rival family, most of the time, they try to disorient you by cutting off the most useful sense when distinguishing where you are being kept. Sight." he turned towards his student. "You, of course, has already mastered this and needs no further dwelling on the matter, the boy's on the other hand." he gave the two in question a thorough glance over. "You two will never know when being able to wander around without your eyesight could save your life."
The three sat in silence for a longer period of time.
Then, Tsuna sighed.
Reaching out her hands she folded her fingers around Gokudera's wrists.
"Also, if you manage to navigate without sight, you won't be at a disadvantage when your sister is around."
Gokudera nodded slowly.
"Also." Reborn joined in. "Knowing what it's like to be blind will bring you closer to your boss."
"I'll do it!" Gokudera declared in a loud voice, almost jumping off of the bed.
"Gokudera-kun..."
Bianchi was at a crossroads.
While she wanted Rebron back in Italy with her where he belonged, and to do so she needed to be rid of the tiny, absolutely tiny girl with the clouded eyes, even though doing so would probably have all of Vongola after her head because she killed off the only heir left, she also didn't want her brother to be after her wanting her dead as well.
She had never seen her brother like that.
Usually whenever he saw her he lied on the ground passed out or in terrible pain, so when he had suddenly tried to get up, straining against that girl's arms, it had surprised her.
Her brother obviously liked that girl...
"Urgh!" the woman exclaimed.
If she killed the girl she could have Reborn back, but if she killed the girl her brother would hate her even more than he already did...
What was she going to do?
Then, suddenly, she knew her answer.
If she couldn't take either road, then she would pave her way between them.
With that in mind, she headed down town towards the private-property area.
This would be fun.
School ended a few minutes ago and Tsuna was, at the moment, making her way home with Gokudera at her side.
"Do you really think I could do it?" Gokudera questioned, glancing at Tsuna from the corner of his eye. "Navigate without the sense of sight I mean?"
The corner of Tsuna's lips twitched.
"What would you say?" she tilted her head sideways towards him. "Do you have good hearing?"
"Very."
"Do you have a good sense of smell?"
"Of course." Gokudera placed his hands on his hips. "It's better than that of a normal person if I am allowed to boast."
That brought a smile onto the young girl's lips.
"Is your sense of touch working properly?"
"The last time I checked."
"Then you will have no trouble." she hesitated for a moment. "Of course, it will probably take some time getting used to the missing eyesight, but once you're used to it, it shouldn't be that hard for you to navigate." she raised her hand. "Take it from a pro."
This caused Gokudera to frown.
"Juudaime." he stopped walking.
"What is it?" she stopped as well, though a few steps later.
Her back was facing him.
"Does being blind bother you?"
"I wouldn't know." she was silent for a long moment, feeling Gokudera's eyes burning over her her back and the back of her head. "I was born like this, I wouldn't know what it's like to actually have the ability to see."
"Do you ever wonder?" Gokudera felt as if he was treading on forbidden terriotory with the young woman, but he felt like he needed to know.
She stood there, her hands clasped behind her back, her shoulders slumped.
For a long moment, she didn't say anything.
Finally, she turned half-way towards him.
"All the time."
And there was no more talk about that subject from that moment on.
Reaching her house, Tsuna turned towards the bomber.
"I'll see you tomorrow?" she asked, half smiling.
Gokudera smiled back.
"Bright and early."
And so, he continued down the road that would lead him to his own home (wherever that was), leaving Tsuna to enter her house yard.
Just before her hand touched the handle of the door, she felt that familliar tinge between her shoulder-blades.
This was not good...
Swallowing hard, she opened the door and stepped into the hall, and immediately she knew why she had felt that tingle.
Bianchi was here.
How did she know this?
Because the woman had been wearing a very distinct perfume both times the young girl had encountered her, and now, almost the whole house reaked of that smell.
"Tadaima!" she called out to the house and immediately, sound echoed over the walls.
"Tsuna-nee-chan!" Lambo cried as he bolted down the stairs, straight into her arms. "OKAERI!"
She giggled lightly, stoking the kid over the hair like usual.
"How was school?" she asked, prying her shoes off of her feet.
"Boring." was Lambo's only answer.
Also normal.
Nana stepped into the hallway, smiling brightly at her daughter.
"Tsuna-chan, okaeri." she smiled.
"Tadaima, Mama." Tsuna smiled back, then she frowned. "Who's visiting?"
Nana laughed brightly.
"Of course you'd notice, Tsuna-chan." she held her hand over her mouth. "It's a woman named Bianchi." this caused both Lambo and Tsuna to twitch where they were standing. "She's a friend of Reborn's and she requested that she could stay here whilst she was in Japan."
"And your answer was?"
"Yes, of course!"
Oh, Nana... one day, that oblivious nature of yours will be the death of you, not that anyone that has ever met her will ever truly wish that on her.
Tsuna groaned as Lambo's arms tightened around her waist.
"I think shes in your room right now, Tsuna, why don't you go up there and say hello?" and with that said, the woman once again vanished into the kitchens, leaving the two surrogate siblings in front of the door.
"Why my room?" Tsuna asked herself in a whisper.
"Tsuna-nee-chan..." Lambo muttered, glancing up at her with worry radiating from his tiny body.
"Don't worry." she stroke him over his hair again. "If I were to be killed the underground will be at war." she smiled weakly. "So, hopefully, nothing will happen to me."
Lambo looked a little doubtful for a moment, then he let his arms fall to his sides, leaving Tsuna open to walk up the stairs.
"I'll be back down in a moment." she told him. "I'll just change out of my uniform."
With that said, she disappeared to the second floor, leaving Lambo staring after her with clenched fists.
Opening her bedroom door, Tsuna wasn't that surprised to find Reborn and Bianchi there, calmly drinking tea as if they weren't invading someone's private quarters without permission.
They didn't show any sign that they noticed she was there.
"Anyone mind telling me why you're invading my bedroom?" she asked them as she headed towards her closet.
"Ah, Tsuna, okaeri." Reborn greeted, looking up from his cup.
"I guess not." Tsuna muttered to herself, going through her closet for something to change into.
"From this day onward, Bianchi will serve as a tutor for you as well."
Tsuna froze.
This part of the plot had been shortened drastically.
"There is only so much a man can teach a woman about our world." Bianchi said, turning her eyes up to study the stature of the girl in front of her. "I will be teaching you to be a proper mafia lady."
Tsuna tilted her head in the woman's direction.
"So, you won't try to kill me?"
"Of course not."
Standing up, Bianchi waltzed right up to the girl, spinning her around towards her.
"And the first lesson is to look in the eye of the person you're talking to."
Bianchi was standing so close that Tsuna could feel her breath on her face, but even then, her eyes remained (un)focused on the woman's cheekbones.
She sighed heavily.
"I would if I could."
Bianchi raised her eyebrows.
"What?"
"Oh, right, I forgot." the two women turned towards the sound of Reborn's voice.
He was still sitting there, his chubby hands folded around his cup, his face staring into the swirling liquid as if he hadn't just addressed the two women on his left.
"Tsuna's optical workings were never developed, she was born blind." he once again lifted his cup to his mouth.
This, of course, caused Bianchi to react.
She took a step away from the younger female.
"Blind?" she asked in a tone that couldn't have been more than a whisper.
"She's missing her pupils, is she not?" Reborn asked, his attention still locked on his cup.
Turning back towards the girl, Bianchi stared straight into those clouded blue orbs, and her eyes widened slightly.
"So she does." she muttered.
Her eyes were so strange. There was only a slightly darker area where her pupil should be, but the pupil itself was nowhere to be seen.
"Surprise..." Tsuna mumbled to herself at Bianchi's reaction.
The woman stood there, staring down at the girl before she crossed her arms, returning to her place at the table next to Reborn.
"Doesn't matter." she stated. "I will turn you into the proper woman for my little brother in no time."
This, of course, confused the blind girl.
"Sorry?" she asked, tilting her head to the side. "What do you mean?"
The room fell into silence. Both hitmen staring at the girl, not knowing what to say.
Bianchi leaned closer to the baby.
"... she's a bit naive... isn't she?" she asked.
"Yes." Reborn answered without hesitation.
This only served to confuse Tsuna even more.
"What are you two talking about?"
She never did get her answer.
A/N: …. Why can't I bring myself to stop writing?
Thank you all for reviewing, thank you all for bearing with the changes I have issued to the story, and most of all, thank you all for actually reading this story.
I know that I left you hanging for more than a year and so, I am thankful that people still read this after so long without an update.
Please tell me what you think about this chapter and I will be back with another one whenever.
