Hey guys.

Firstly, in my absence, I just wanted to say a HUGE thank you to the people who are following/favourited/reviewed this or any of my other stories. I'll be honest, I lost the Jax/Tara love a little, not because of the performances but I just didn't like where their story was heading. And after last nights episode I'm devastated, heartbroken. I knew it was coming but I didn't think it would happen until season 7.

I don't think I can watch season 7 now, the main reason I watched the season was for our beloved Jax and Tara. I will however keep writing fics on them, perhaps not as often, and while your support for my stories is hugely appreciated, I just can't continue to watch after losing that beautiful dynamic.

As always, Maggie and Charlie stole the show and it's been six great years of watching the two of them creating these characters and this phenomenally awesome pairing. Thank you guys xxx

But enough whining. Let's imagine last night never happened and remember our beautiful Jax and Tara as they were...enjoy xxx

Hold her hand anytime….

"Run!" Opie's voice boomed as he and Jax ran towards her, making her quickly get to her feet and run in the direction they were heading.

She'd told them not to do it, she said it would backfire and they'd get in trouble. But Jax had laughed at her and Opie just shrugged, always willing to push the boundaries. Tara was the more cautious of the group, citing all the things that could go wrong, all the ways they would get caught.

But, as usual, Jax had persuaded her, his excitement and reassurance that they wouldn't get caught eventually convinced her.

They were thirteen. Tara didn't see the boys so much now, she was needed too much at home, cleaning up the mess and babysitting her alcoholic father. But this Saturday she had ventured out, wanting to be away from her broken home, and walked down to the local diner. As she sat alone drinking her strawberry shake she had seen Jax and Opie walk in, mischievous grins on their faces. She now only really saw them at school, stealing the odd conversation with them every now and then. They knew that they did it to mainly check that everything was ok for her on the home front, which she appreciated.

Jax spotted her first and made a beeline for her. As he approached she noticed that his hair had got slightly longer over the summer, his skin seemed more tanned. She could understand why all the girls at school gushed over him. Not that she ever did, obviously.

"Knowles" he greeted her as he shimmied across in the seat opposite her. He leaned over and took a long sip from her milkshake, the hot California sun giving him an unquenchable thirst.

"Oh please, help yourself Jax" she shook her head with a feigned dismay, her voice dripping in sarcasm.

Jax proceeded to push his luck by taking the straw out of her shake and licking the length of it, a pinkish froth forming on his tongue before he quickly swallowed it and put the straw back in her drink.

"That's disgusting" Tara informed a now smiling Jax, who seemed to just love getting under her skin.

"Hey, most girls at school would kill for that straw now that his spit is all over it" Opie said, as he approached the booth with two more shakes for him and Jax.

"Not this girl" Tara remarked, drilling home to both boys that she was immune to Jax Teller's charm.

Jax ignored her flippancy "So, what are you up to Knowles?"

Tara took a sip from her shake before answering "Not much, just getting out of the house"

Both boys nodded. They didn't need to say anything, they both knew that things were tough at home for her.

Jax swirled his own straw in his chocolate shake, a small smile now forming on his lips. He glanced across at Opie and they shared a knowing look. They knew what might take her mind off home.

Jax returned to look at Tara, who was now slurping on the last of her drink. He raised his eyebrow and smiled, a mischievous look glinted in his eyes "You wanna come and have some fun Knowles?"

Fun, it seemed, had a different definition for Jax and Tara. For her fun would be normal things, such as going to the movies, visiting the funfair. For Jax it meant her keeping an eye out while he and Opie decided to spray paint the Mayan's bikes with 'SOA', littering the Harleys with images of the reaper.

And now as they ran, after being spotted by the Mayan's VP, Tara cursed the boys. Why would they never listen to her? She glanced behind her and saw the biker running after them. She had fallen behind the boys slightly, their speed overtaking her.

It was as she snapped her head back that she felt her ankle give way, sending her crashing to the ground. As her body fell she saw the retreating backs of both Opie and Jax and she was well aware that the Mayan was still chasing after them. Why would they never listen?!

Within seconds he had reached her, his body towering over her as she hunched over to check her ankle. She looked up at him, the sun shone directly into her eyes so that she couldn't see his face. His hand was reaching out for her.

"Tara!"

She heard Jax's voice but knew that he wouldn't reach her in time. The man lurched towards her.

"Tara, are you ok?"

It was then that Tara reassessed the man standing over her. His face still obscured by the blinding sunlight. She squinted to look more closely, not being able to identify if it was Jax's blonde hair or if the direct sunlight behind the Mayan was bleaching it and made it look lighter. The figure grabbed her hand, forcing her to her feet.

She then realised that the man that had been standing over her was Jax, who had seen her fall and rushed over to help her.

"We gotta go. Are you hurt?" his eyes quickly glanced down to her long milky white legs, assessing for an injury.

Tara tested her weight on her foot. It definitely wasn't broken, in fact it didn't feel too bad at all.

"No, I'm ok. I think I can run" she answered.

The episode all happened in a matter of seconds but both were aware that the Mayan, although a little slower than his initial sprint, was catching up with them.

Jax grasped her hand as they began to run again, until they could reach the trees ahead of them and lose the Mayan in the woods.

It was probably only 50 metres until they reached the woods, running further in in a bid to lose the Mayan for good. They found Opie, his hands on his knees, inhaling deeply to get his breath back. Opie looked up at Jax, who was also bent over, taking in lungful's of oxygen and laughed, happiness and relief washing over him.

Jax had a smile on his face too, his breathing slowing down slightly, his legs heavy from the run.

But his smile wasn't because of the prank they had just pulled.

He looked over at Tara, still trying to steady her breathing, inhaling deeply and rhythmically. He watched as she leant back beside him, against the strong tree trunk. After a moment she felt his eyes on her and aware of his scrutiny she glanced up at him. His breath was still slightly laboured, his chest heaving a little. She smiled back at him. They both looked down at the same time.

Their hands were still entwined.

That was why they were both smiling.

That was why they were both breathless.

And that was why they were both beautiful xx
