Tom felt a flashkick on the back of his head. Summoning his spectral viewer, he turned to see his opponent, but he saw nothing. Another flashkick hit him from the side. Maxxor was losing energy, but it was more annoying than it was painful. He waited for a moment for his opponent to attack again, but nothing happened.
Where is he? Tom thought
Just he he was beginning to wonder off to find where LightningBlitz was, another flame orb hit his back. Maxxor turned around saw nothing. He spun around slowly with his spectral viewer, but he still saw nothing.
Another flame orb hit his back. Tom turn around just in time to see his opponent running behind another building.
"That won't work this time!" Maxxor said as he chased the Mipedian down the streets of Kiru, carefully watching him as he hid behind anything he could, seemingly trying to hide. He soon found himself at the bottom of the pallace stairway entrance. The Mipedian slammed the door behind him as he went in. Tom followed him in, not bothering to shut the door behind him. LightningBlitz lead him down a few hallways before throwing a flame orb at him.
"So you've finally decided to stop running and fight, have you?" Maxxor taunted
LightningBlitz just smirked as he leaned against a pillar. Tom and Maxxor hated it. Rage heated up their body as they unleash a giant magma barrage. LightningBlitz jumped out of the way, burning his tail, barely escaping the attack that should have coded him. Maxxor's attack hit the pillar. Tom didn't know it, but the other side of the pillar was cracked. LightningBlitz had weakened it at the beginning of the match. The pillar broke, crushing and coding Maxxor, angering Tom even more.
"What's wrong MajorTom?" LightningBlitz asked he was turned back into his normal form, sounding strangely bored"I thought you were going to code me by spamming your attacks." Tom was slightly confused by the sudden change in personality.
"That's LightningBlitz for you." Sarah said, not sounding surprised "Always thinking ahead."
"Yep. Tommy boy walked right into that one." Peyton commented as he picked up his soda. Just as Klay and Krystella were porting in, Peyton spit out his soda, jumped to his feet, and pointed at the screen shouting "Where did he get that Mipedian!" Krystella put one hand over her mouth to keep herself from laughing. The soda had gone everywhere. The fact that the robots would have to clean it up just made Peyton's dramaticness all the more amusing. "Hey robro!" Peyton called out "Another refill!"
Krystella made a slight noise, still trying to not laugh. Klay looked at her angrily, jealous of Peyton for being the center of attention.
Kaz called Tom immediately.
"Kaz, what's wrong?" Tom asked
"Don't let this guy get to you." Kaz reminded him "Remember, he's just playing mind games with you. And he's not as bored as he's acting."
"I can handle this." Tom assured his friend as he hung up.
Meanwhile, in the Overworld palace, Aivenna was going through her own problems. She and Intress had already begun to move their belongings into Maxxor's private chambers. Most creatures would have been proud of her new position, but as she laid on her new bed, Aivenna could not stop crying.
