Rosalie's point of view:
"Here's the last box, Alice," setting the large box, one of many, into the master bedroom.
"Thanks," Alice said, smiling up at me as she unpacked an overnight bag.
"No problem, I just hope you help me when I buy and house and move," I replied.
"I'll defiantly repay the favor," Alice replied, giving me a huge smile.
"Hey, darlin'," Jasper said, walking into the room. "I'm going to take the moving van back, and then I'm going to work."
"Okay." She grinned as she sauntered over to him. "I'm going to miss you."
"I'll miss you too." He gave her a kiss, making me open the box I brought in to give them some sense of privacy.
The sound of kissing filled the air before it stopped. Looking up, I saw Alice wearing a goofy grin as she watched Jasper leave. She sighed and returned to unpacking her overnight bag.
"Where do you want these?" I asked, gesturing to the folded clothes in the now open box.
"In the top left dresser drawer," Alice said.
"Alright." I started to place the clothes into the assigned drawer. "How do you think Emmett would react if I invited Jasper over for Christmas?"
"Honestly?" I asked, and Alice nodded. "I think he'll pull the stupid big overly protective brother card. He'll want to show Jordan how it's done for when Hannah starts to date."
"Ugg." Alice rolled her eyes. "At least Edward won't be there too."
"What about Edward?" Bella asked, walking into the bedroom.
"Glad you're taking him off of my hands during Christmas so I can bring my boyfriend home." Alice smiled at our friend.
Bella snorted. "Well I finished the kitchen."
"Already?" I asked surprised.
"I don't really have much since I don't cook a lot," Alice explained. "Want to help us in here?"
"Sure." Bella shrugged her shoulders.
A few hours later, Alice, Bella, and I sat on her large couch, sipping on wine as we waited for pizza to come.
"I can't thank you girls enough for helping me today," Bella said.
"It's no problem really," I said, "and we finally wet to hang out. I so needed a girls night."
Alice laughed. "No kidding. I haven't had any time for anything."
"Other than work, school, or your new boyfriend," I teased.
"So, how are things going with your new boyfriend?" Bella asked.
"I love it," Alice admitted. "It's nice having someone special to do things with. It seems like every free moment, we spend it together."
"I know what you mean," Bella responded.
"I'm jealous that Edward has a fixed schedule. It seems you two are able to spend more time together; Jasper and my schedules conflict so much since he has to work nights in the ER," Alice explained.
"It is nice, and I'm glad that I made my schedule for day classes," Bella said. "That way, Edward and I can go out after we're done."
I took a sip of wine, a little jealous of my friend's romantic lives. I wished I had that. A vision of Emmett and I on the couch with his arms around me, spending every ounce of free time together came into my mind. Dates to restaurants, kisses after he walked me to the front door … I bit my lip.
"You want to tell us what you're thinking, Rosalie?" Bella asked.
"Not really." I took a sip of wine.
"Oh. I know that look. Who were you thinking about?" Bella gave me a coy smile.
"Are you seeing someone too?" Alice asked curiously.
"I'm not seeing anyone." I rolled my eyes. "I'm really not in a place to date."
"Doesn't mean you don't have feelings for someone." Bella raised an eyebrow; I frowned at her, annoyed that she knew me so well. "Wait a minute. Do you like someone?"
"No?" I cringed that it sounded like a question.
"Oh my gosh, she does!" Alice said. "You have to tell us," Alice insisted.
I rolled my glass of wine between my hands. I bit my lip as I gathered my thoughts and eventually said, "I think I like Emmett." The words came out slowly. "I think I like Emmett," I said, more to myself this time.
I looked between Alice and Bella, expecting them to look shocked, but they were both smiling.
"You know, I've been hoping you'd realize this ever since Thanksgiving," Bella said.
"Wh-what?" I asked.
"I saw how you two interacted, and I could see this spark, chemistry between you two," Bella said. "Plus, you spend a lot of your free time with him, and every time you do, you come home with a goofy smile on your face."
I turned red, but I did like spending time with him. She was right. Spending time with him lately did make me happy, but I didn't think it'd show.
"But it can't go anywhere," I said. "He's … he still isn't over Emily, and there's the kids to think about too."
"I have to tell you, Rosalie, he's acting exactly the same way with you as he did when he was falling for Emily," Alice said. "He's falling in love with you. It may take some time for him to realize his feelings though."
"I just … I don't know if I'm ready," I whispered. "I don't think I'm ready after my ex."
"Oh sweetheart," Bella said. "You can't let that idiot ruin anything else for you."
"And Emmett would treat you very well. He has a huge heart," Alice added, and I felt grateful that she didn't pry into my past. "When he realizes his feelings for you, he won't rush you into anything."
"I'll need time," I said.
"It seems like you both will, but please don't close yourself off if something does happen," Bella said. "You deserve to be happy, honey."
"I'll keep that in mind," I told her.
The bell rang and Alice stood and sauntered to the door. She came back carrying a large pizza and breadsticks. "Pizza is served, my friends." She placed the food on the coffee table next to the paper plates and napkins.
"So Alice, I wanted to ask for your advice of what I could get your brother for Christmas," Bella said, as she took two slices.
"Well, he does like lingerie," Alice said, making Bella blush so deep, her I could see her scalp turn red.
"Alice! We're staying with my dad and stepmom. I can't just do that as a gift," she protested.
"I'm just joking." Alice smiled. "He loves vintage records a lot."
"I'll have to get him a few of those. And I was thinking of making him dinner before we leave for my foke's house, just the two of us. Would it be too much?" she asked.
"He'd really like that too, Bella. That's when you can get out your lingerie." Alice laughed when Bella blushed hard again.
"So, what are you going to get Jasper?" I asked.
"I'm getting him some hunting thing." Alice rolled her eyes. "He won't let me get him some new clothes."
"You know, after all of the time Emmett complained about you getting him clothes, you think you'd get the hint that men don't want you to buy them clothes," I said dryly.
"Stop trying to defend your man, woman!" Alice shot me a dirty look, and I laughed. "I swear, Rosalie."
"I can't help it." I smiled. "Feel free to buy me clothes, my friend."
Alice laughed. "As if you need the help though. You have great taste in clothes, my friend."
"I could always use help."
"Hey, could I get something for the babies?" Bella asked.
"Sure. Maybe some diapers since Esme and Alice bought every piece of clothing and toys known to man," I teased my friend.
"Hey now. They're the only niece and nephew I have, but with the romantic dinner Bella is planning, they might not be in nine months," Alice snickered.
"Alice!" Bella protested. "How about you give us nieces and nephews!"
"Not for a long time," Alice said, rolling her eyes. "Jasper and I are still young."
Bella snorted. "I'm not planning on having kids anytime soon either. If Edward and I end up getting married, I want to wait a few years before the kids come along."
"Me too," Alice agreed nodding.
Hours passed as I talked with my girlfriend, and we ended up finishing several bottles of wine. Bella and I were so tipsy, we ended up sleeping on her extra bed. The next morning, I woke up with a slight headache and my mouth felt super dry. I stumbled out of bed and into the kitchen.
"Well good morning, sleeping beauty," a familiar, amused voice said.
I blanched when I saw Emmett leaning against the counter. "What are you doing here?" I asked, surprised.
"I brought over the last of her furniture," he explained, "since they couldn't fit it in the truck yesterday, and she asked me to bring over breakfast."
"Oh." I said, sinking into the chair, completely embarrassed. "Where's Bella?"
"My brother picked her up twenty minutes ago." Emmett rolled his eyes. "Water?"
"Make sure it's a big glass," I said, watching him pull out a cup out of the cabinets.
"You know, Rosalie, not sure the kids should be around you. You might be a bad influence on them, waking up with a hang over," he teased as he handed me the large cup of ice water.
"I'm sure I could get some stories out of your sister," I said, narrowing my eyes at him. "Maybe some of your times in college." I laughed when he blanched as he handed me a glass over water. "I knew you'd have some stories, so I don't want to hear anything about me having too much wine."
"Very funny, Rosy," Emmett muttered, and I started to drain the glass. "Thirsty?"
"Very. I forgot how bad hangovers are," I muttered.
Emmett made a barking laugh as he put a bagel on a paper plate in front of me.
"Thanks." I gave him a weak smile as I began to tear up my bagel. Emmett turned around one of the chairs and straddled it. "So other than being a bunch of lushes, what did you guys do last night?"
I shot him a dirty look, making him laugh. "We talked mostly girl stuff."
"Did you enjoy it?" he asked.
"It was," I said. "I needed a girl's night."
"You deserved a night off Rosy," Emmett said.
"Thanks." I took a long drink of water.
"Why are you guys so loud?" Alice grumbled as she came out of her bedroom, her short hair sticking up in tufts.
"Night hair," Emmett said, grinning widely at his sister.
"Thanks." She gave her brother a smile before she got herself a large glass of water.
"You know, I think I'm going to have to talk to you about getting my nanny drunk," Emmett teased.
"Sorry to be getting your nanny drunk," Alice said, giving me knowing look and making me blush. "Besides, we weren't really drunk. We were just very tipsy."
"Uh-huh," Emmett replied, pulling out two bagels for himself.
"Make sure you save a few of those for when Jasper wakes up," Alice said, causing Emmett to chock on his water. "He got in a few hours ago."
"What do you mean, when Jasper wakes up?" he asked, looking angry.
"Well … we've been dating, and he stays here sometimes," she said.
Emmett looked thunderous. "I'm going to kill him," Emmett said through his teeth as he started toward Alice's bedroom.
"Emmett!" Alice protested.
"Emmett," I said, jumping up in front of him and putting my hands on his chest. "No, Emmett."
"He's in my sister's bedroom now. Who knows that he's done," Emmett said.
"And she is a grown woman, Emmett," I said. "And Jaspers a sweet guy, Emmett."
"Who should've met her older brothers and dad first," he seethed.
"And he met dad at Thanksgiving, and we went to lunch with mom and dad the other day," Alice said, finally speaking up for herself. "Daddy really likes Jasper, and I don't need your 'blessing', Emmett."
Emmett folded his muscular arms across his broad chest. "Fine." Emmet shot Alice a dirty look before taking his seat. Grabbing a bagel, he shot Alice angry looks while muttering under his breath.
"Will you at least meet him?" Alice asked. "Jasper means a lot to me."
"Fine," Emmett grumbled.
"I want to bring him home for Christmas," Alice said.
"You're that serious about him?"
Alice nodded as a goofy grin covered her face. "I care about him very much," Alice admitted, and this made him soften a little.
Emmett sighed dramatically. "I guess I'll give him a chance."
"How about I make dinner at your place, Emmett. And Ashley and Jasper can come over for dinner?" I asked.
"We'd love that," Alice said. "Jasper actually has tonight off."
Emmett blew out a breath and nodded in agreement.
Little bit of a random chapter, but let me know what you think please! A lot of you have been asking about Rosalie's ex, I'll let you know eventually, so stay tuned!
