Yo, King here, and just in time for a new update on Season 1, which is the final part in Episode 2; finally, I can put this arc to bed and get on with my work! Before we start, I apologize for the lack of updates, despite having a lot of spare time. Easily distracted and I have to attend a job search after graduating from my internship in June. Dudes and dudettes, listen up, Comic Con has recently wrapped up and there have been a lot of awesome and ultra sweet announcements and trailers that have either been announced, or shown; look up on YouTube if you don't believe an ounce of what I'm saying. One of the things I have heard was that they were in the works of making a Goosebumps movie, starring Jack Black as the writer of the books himself R.L. Stine. For those who don't know, Goosebumps was a dark-fantasy anthology series that became so popular in the 1990s that a TV series was created in its, and R.L. Stine's, honor. It was basically like the Hub anthology series, The Haunting Hour, only darker and lasted one season more (Goosebumps: 5, Haunting Hour: 4). Another I've seen was a poster for the Avengers' sequel, Age of Ultron, with our hears outnumbered and being overpowered by an entire legion of Ultrons; three new faces include the twins Pietro and Wanda Maximoff AKA Quicksilver and Scarlett Witch, and the machine that was created by Ultron but rebelled from his own programming himself; Vision! I could rant all day, but it's time to start the chap, OCs are the only things that are owned, everything else isn't. Let the show begin!
P.S.
Look, Guest, I don't know who you are, but I'll have to ask that you not give me any pressure. I've been busy the last few weeks and as I mentioned before, the whole SOPA/PIPA tackle messed with my head. Causing me to rush everything. I know what happens if you go overload with characters, so I'd appreciate it if you'd just drop it. I feel stress enough as it is, so please, no more flames. Now, without any more interruptions, on with the show!
Episode 2: Colors of the Rainbow Pt. 4: Blending
The three stood in stunned silence as they saw the orange clad figure before them; not only did his voice sound normal, but when he looked up for, they say that he was no longer glowing or showing any sign of intense greed. In fact, he looked as though he were in immense pain and agony. Dragon, as if his body was on "autopilot", dared his was forward as thoughts started to play like a side-show in his head. He held his hand up soon as Green Fish, who barely snapped out of his shock, was about to call him back; signaling that he knew what he was doing. Sort of. He cautiously walked to the orange being, not dropping his guard in the slightest, but felt that whatever hold that was on the snake was out cold, for now. Soon as he was close enough, the reptile looked up and appeared to straining; obviously something was trying to forcefully take control of his body. It was then that the hero knew what he had to do, and he needed to act fast before whatever was controlling the snake had its grip back.
"Please . . . h-h-help . . . me . . ." The snake pleaded once more.
". . . Hold still." Dragon replied.
while placing his right hand on the snake's shoulder, Dragon raised his left hand and channeled his chi as he began to glow brightly. Dragon then placed his left hand on the snake's head, his thumb in the middle of the forehead, then began to channel his Chi into the snake as they both began to glow an array of both orange and golden energy. Things didn't let up as both Dragon and the snake's eyes began to shoot out rays of light, but the biggest surprise came as the auras of the two began to take the shape of a gigantic serpent and a Chinese dragon! Both serpentine creatures snarled and hissed at each other, stared daggers at one another, then began to do battle. As this went down, Dragon was suddenly enveloped in the orange aura that was over the snake and began to quiver limply; the orange serpent gaining advantage over the energy Dragon above. Just as it appeared that Dragon was about to be consumed by the orange aura and the golden dragon about to lose its fight against the serpent, Dragon stood upright. His golden aura began to envelop the snake before him and the dragon above was quickly gaining lost ground as it came at the serpent with all it had. With a triumphant roar, the gold dragon breathed fire over the serpent, causing it to retreat to its host, only to be sucked straight into its ring as a huge flash got into everyone around eyes. When the flash died down, the snake was no longer in his orange attire, but what appeared to be regular street clothing.
He wore a grey polo shirt, khaki colored slacks that were held up by a black leather belt, and a pair of black leather shoes. The aura of avarice that previously surrounded him seemed to all but vanish, leaving no trace what so ever; with the exception of the small feeling that was within the ring on the snake's finger, which was glowing dimmer and dimmer. The snake himself cast one last, grateful teary glance at the hero before him, then falling into unconsciousness; he was finally free. There if there was a time to celebrate . . . the moment the Dragon Sense went wild wasn't that moment! Grabbing the unconscious reptile, Dragon leaped away just as a red beam of energy was shot and caused a small explosion where he stood. Placing the snake in a safe place, then landing back to the battle area, the three looked up to behold a startling sight. Levitating himself to the ground was what appeared to be a male bovine and despite it being clear that he had a nicely muscular body, his fur, eyes, and even hair were all blood-red in color; his horns being an exception since they were ivory-white. What he wore was just as peculiar as his appearance: it was an all red suit that appeared similar to Green Fish's, only red and had a silhouette of a bovine on the chest. The way he looked at the three was the same feeling as the aura around him; nothing but absolute malice . . .
"Well, I dare say, you've made quite the entrance."
The he three turned just as Dragon's Dragon Sense went off yet again and fired a Flame Bullet towards Silver Phantom; intercepting a blast that nearly nailed him. Though the silver clad figure was stunned, thinking Dragon shot at him at first before taking notice of the yellow energy coming close enough to almost graze him. The three to see yet another colored figure levitating himself to the ground, only this one was apparently a rodent and was wearing a yellow suit with a rodent silhouette on the chest and had yellow colored fur, hair and eyes. Okay, now things were seriously starting to get really weird; not that it wasn't a few minuets ago.
"And so have I." The rodent remarked darkly.
"Just how many people like you are there anyway?" Phantom demanded in shock.
"You're asking me that?" Green Fish shot back, confused as well.
"Ladies and gentleman, forget Adam Sandler and Jack Nicholson, because this guy makes even Gordon Ramsay look like a three-year old throwing a tantrum; Red Ox! Thats what I call him at least . . ."
Images show of the red bovine in all his sneering glory, flying around and causing destruction wherever he went.
"He was actually one of the first super powered maniacs I faced after the whole Fate incident; long story, tell you another time . . . Anyway, this guy is a bowl of mixed nuts and some serious "anger" issues, but he wasn't always like this . . ."
The scenery changes to Dragon and Red Ox dong battle, trading physical blows and energy blasts, both appearing to be evenly match. Images changes to the bovine, only his appearance was different: he had black fur and short black hair, also his eyes were green; he wore a black button-up shirt, black slacks that were held up by a black leather belt and
"He was once a kind and gentle family man named Gabriel Maxwell, a bank teller who was let go after his daughter was kidnapped and murdered by members of the Skullz. He went ballistic after, he shut off his own wife, who by the way was taking it as bad as he did, but apparently the need to be selfish gets the better of some people. After a few weeks of being off the grid, he reappeared in Empire City in the fancy suit he's now wearing and was going on a rampage. The guy wouldn't listen to reason and would blast anyone (doesn't matter who they are, how old, or even if he knew them) that tried to talk sense into him. Since he wasn't in a talking mood, I had no choice but to take him on, which wasn't easy at all, but I did what I could . . ."
Images show of the bovine with two female oxen, one older and the other younger, indicating these were his wife and daughter; smiling as he walked with the two. The happy moment ceased, however, when members of the Skullz appear before Maxwell's daughter, then the scenery shifts to a memorial service. images then show Maxwell walking away from his wife, ignoring the fact she was reaching for him, then to what appeared to be a blood-red colored bipedal approaching him. The scenery changes to Maxwell as Red Ox rampaging through the streets of Empire City, then being defeated by a battle damaged Dragon.
"Ol' Yeller I recognize as a low-level thug by the name of Mortimer Winker, though what I've heard was anything but settling. Apparently the guy was pushed around by basically everyone in his life growing up: family and strangers alike. It didn't help he was 90 pounds of lank and was always of anyone bigger and stronger than him. He got into a bad crowd and started doing all types of illegal, all because he felt safe and secure in their hands. One day, when the ECPD found the place where his so-called friends were hiding out, they found each of them cowering in the corners screaming their deepest darkest fears. In fact, there've been recent reports of people being under fear hallucinations and covered in a yellow field of energy, though tests show none of the victims were under influences of drugs. Guess this was all this guy's doing."
Images show of the rodent without his suit, cowering in fear of the many people that walked around him, which turned into sinister shadow figures that began to laugh at him.
"Don't know how they got that way, or where they got those powers, but I do know that I'll have to do whatever I can to take them down; by any means necessary, even if it means . . . ending them. I'm hoping it won't come to that."
Images change to both Ox and Vermin standing side by side as Dragon stared them down.
"Monkey Twister Bash!"
The red colored bovine barely turned around, only to be greeted by pain as something cracked him across the face; same thing went for the yellow rodent when he felt something wrap around his ankle and threw him, both figures skidding across the ground till they hit the side of a building. The three looked around their surroundings to locate what made the two fault the building. Though it was obvious a whip was used against the rodent, it appeared that Ox was struck by a miniature tornado of sorts. Their gaze soon fell upon who, but none other than the Homosexual avian himself; Rainbow Peacock, levitating himself in front of the three. If Silver Phantom could scowl, now would be the perfect time; it wasn't because he was against LGBT, he supported it in fact. It was because the stress of bumping into so many "colorfully" dressed people was starting to get to his head. Winding up his whip and turning to face the three, the avian suddenly become tense from the sight of Dragon.
"OMG, you're t-t-that guy!" RP sputtered nervously. "You do not know how much a privilege this is!"
"Uh, thank you?" Dragon inquired, not entirely sure what to say. "And thanks for "whipping" up those two."
"You're welcome, but I only "whipped" the rodent guy. Seriously, yellow is so last month!"
"Hang on, if you didn't get Red . . ." GF interjected in deep thought. "Then who-"
"Right here!"
The four whipped (pun not intended since one holds a whip as a weapon) around and came face to face with a figure that appeared similar to (the current) Silver Crane. But upon looking closer, one would see significant differences: he appeared to be a primate, his long slender tail being proof enough and his suit was brown with a symbol of a primate on the chest; another point was that he was missing a rimmed hat. He also held a six-foot long Bo staff (which also had somewhat of a primate design to it), where as the weapon of the Crane Animal Amulet are duel Tessen. Quite the opposite as this person was none other than the comic relief of the Furious Five, "Steel Monkey" . . . well, the new one at the very least.
"And then there was the practical jokester of the Furious Five that is Steel Monkey, not the real one, but still."
Images show of mentioned hero, then to another primate with the same amulet, only wearing a brown Chinese Kung Fu uniform with a black domino mask over his eyes.
"Like I said before, after the Dragon before me "sacrificed" himself, many heroes went dark and crime plummeted. The Monkey Animal Amulet grants its chosen super speed; imagine that on your High School track team. Not like Jeff or myself, but still. Anyway, I bumped into him and the rest of the "New" Five the year before . . ."
Images show of the "new" Steel Monkey standing with a group of individuals with the same type of suits (only different in colors), the previous Steel Monkey twirling a Bo staff, then got into a fighting stance when he was suddenly surrounded by a group of shadowy figures with pipes and chains. After fighting a few shadowy thugs, the previous Steel Monkey rushes behind a marble column, but who to come out the other end was none other than the "new" Steel Monkey.
"One night, after we were helping to stop a disaster (that he caused), I had the displeasure of seeing who the Five were beneath their masks; whether or not it was accidental, I'll never know. What I do know is that this guy is Melvin Tse! Mel to his friends, but Melvin is much more fun to mock and make fun of, if I do say so myself."
Images change to the primate in question, then to his Steel Monkey form (albeit without a mask), performing a Hung Kuen exercise on a wooden dummy, then getting into a Monkey Kung Fu stance. The scenery changes to the primate practicing with a his Bo staff (Monkey, Hung Kuen, and traditional).
"He was present with the others when we took down the gravity obsessed Gravitax when we were facing down . . . the one time I was actually grateful for . . . but still won't admit it, he and I are not nor ever will be, for as log as I live or die, friends."
Images show of Dragon and the Five engaging mentioned villain, then standing victoriously over his unconscious form.
"Now I know you're all going to say I'm critical . . . and you're absolutely right. He was one of the many kids to make fun of me when I was little and even now he still thinks he's a funny guy. Straight off the bat, this guy is nothing more than a class clown that thinks everything in life is nothing but a big dumb joke and to top that off: he's friends with a certain . . . group, which includes Calvin Kwan. He's not worthy of the moniker Steel Monkey and I don't know how he got his grubby little hands on the Monkey Animal Amulet to begin with, but whether I like it or not, I have to . . . .w-w-work b-b-beside . . . him. Doesn't mean I have to like it, but the upside is that he doesn't know I'm Dragon. So help me, he misuses his powers, he answers to me."
How could anyone have forgotten about the speedster of the Furious Five, even if they had STML (Short Term Memory Loss for those who aren't familiar). If anyone could see under Dragon's mask or Silver Phantom's helmet, they'd see the two were trying very, hard (with very little effort) to scowl. Phantom's reason was because he thought the primate was annoying to no end in the least, Dragon's reason was because of his own opinion on him. He'd have to swallow his pride, for now, since the situation they were in was in dire need of immediate action.
"Oh my goodness, now I'm meeting Steel Monkey the Furious Five!" RP squealed in delight. "Sorry, did that seem a little geekish?"
"Pretty much." Violet Lizard bluntly stated beside Silver Phantom.
"WHAO, who are you and where'd you come from?!" Phantom demanded.
"Been wondering that myself." Green Fish whispered.
"Name's Violet Lizard and you can blame my parents about that second-"
"Never mind, didn't need to hear that!" Phantom interjected, some thing he felt were best left unsaid.
"OMG, where'd you get those boots, they're gorgeous!" RP squealed like a school girl.
Their little chat session came to an end as an unearthly shriek filled the air, then the sound of ruble being smashed where the two hostiles were. Everyone turned and saw that they flew out of the building they crashed into, not looking too happy as they auras began to glow brighter and brighter. Before anything else could be done, everything (and everyone) started to slow down, almost as if someone had a (one could only hope, wish, and dream) everything universal remote and pressed pause. Okay, now this was some serious deja-vu. As if it were chance (or fate) Dragon looked towards the sides and happened to catch a glimpse of an all too familiar figure in white, which was at the same time was female; it was the female rough collie that was "Annie". Though he heard no words, the way she looked to the heroes, then to Dragon had the hero understanding what needed to be done. Unbeknownst to Dragon, Silver Phantom was also caught in the whole "mindscape" thing and also took notice of "Annie" nodding to Dragon. Before he could question what was going on, everything began to speed back to reality and back to the situation of the red and yellow beings. Phantom looked to where he saw the female collie, but saw that she had vanished; confusion started working up in his head as he felt he saw her before. But where?
"Okay, need to stop these guys, ASAP!" Dragon urged. "You guys (excluding one) in?"
"I'm in!" Green Fish stated.
"Me too." Violet Lizard added
"You can count on me." Rainbow Peacock continued.
"You're both going down like Jacques Cousteau!"
"What?" Everyone, except Dragon (who face-palmed at this), questioned in confusion.
"It's his "catchphrase"." Dragon sighed, then placed a hand on the simian. "Let's just do this!"
However, no sooner as he spoke these words and made contact with Steel Monkey, Dragon began to glow a bright gold color, which proceeded to transfer to SM's Monkey Animal Amulet. The glow began to illuminate so brightly that it caused everyone to cover their eyes, but as quickly as it began, the light was starting to dim a little. When the glowing ceased, only a single figure stood where the two heroes were . . . and it was Dragon, only there were a lot of differences on his suit: all the red was replaced with dark-brown, on the chest was a Yin and Yang symbol with a Chinese dragon on the yin side and a primate on the Yang side, and the Chinese character on Dragon's back was now "Speed". Like with Silver Crane, Dragon was limited to a single weapon as his others seemed to have vanished; his Bo staff. This form was another form of "Tongyi", when the user of the Eternal Ember combined powers with an Animal Amulet. This form was known as Dragon "Monkey-Style".
Man, that was nuts!
"Don't go bananas, dingbat!" Dragon sarcastically stated.
The heroes and hostiles looked at the now different colored hero in shock; did they all just hear two different voices from him? Dragon, unknown to everyone (especially his "fusionee"), was beyond disgusted that he had performed Tongyi with one of the least favorable people in his world. Though there was one thing that cheered him up, since Steel Monkey didn't know Po was Dragon, Tongyi prevented him from finding out unless they knew for certain who his alter ego was. As mentioned before, he had no choice but to work with him (that still left a bad taste in his mouth, like a ripe crab apple) and he needed to do it fast. Snapping out of their stupor, Red Ox made the first move as he flew above the group, then fired red energy from his mouth as if he were a fire-breathing dragon (pun not intended, especially since one of the attendees had flame-inspired powers). Everyone was able to dodge just as the blast made contact, but it was Green Fish who made the counter attack as he created a large energy fist construct. He threw the construct at the red-colored bovine, only for the ox to create an energy fist of his own and caught GF's, crushed it without effort, then went on the attack. Fish was barely able to block a punch to his face, but was unable to block or dodge a knee to the gut, then thrown to the ground; making a crater from the impact. Before Rainbow Peacock could react, he felt a sharp pain in his back and flew face forward, but was able to roll and get back on his feet. Turning around, he saw that Yellow Vermin with his ring aimed on him (RP) and was about to attack again, if not for Violet Lizard's interception in the form of a force filed. Before the rodent could do anything else, he found himself face to face with the female reptile, who grabbed him by both wrists, bent over and brought a leg backwards to kick her opponent in the face, then brought up an energy fist and struck the rodent with an uppercut. The multicolored avian took out a small, rainbow-colored orb, then threw it at Yellow Vermin; the impact causing it to blow and crash to the ground. The rodent recovered fairly quick and seeing as the two he was fighting with had their gaze to the green canine, he shot a bast at the two.
Red Ox stood over the fallen hero, when his eyes suddenly changed from red to soft green that looked at the canine with remorse (almost as if he wanted to stop hurting him), but quickly changed back to red and was about to bring another blast to finish him off, when something no one could predict happened. Another upside on Tongyi was that he could use the power of any of the Animal Amulets whenever he pleased. Though no one could see him, Dragon was moving so fast that he appeared to be nothing but a quick, brown blur as he went on the attack. He came at Red Ox on the side, kneeled to the ground and kicked at his left knee, causing the bovine to buckle. He shift and spun around, shooting his other leg to kick at the red bovine's hip, then finish with a palm strike to the head. After he was done, he took up Green Fish and hurried to Rainbow Peacock and Violet Lizard; just in time as he saw Yellow Vermin's blast approaching them from behind. He was about to shoot a Flame Bullet, but noticed a beam of silver energy about to intercept, which was quite the surprise. Didn't "ghostie" despise heroism, since when did he care about what would happen to other heroes? That didn't matter. Placing the canine on front of the avian and reptile, Dragon sped towards the rodent and performed another series of attacks. Only difference was that it was one of Dragon's styles or even Monkey-Style, it was Hung Kuen. Dragon performed an outer block (which was known as a Tiger Block) to the rodent's outstretched forearm with his own, struck to his chin with an uppercut, then came in with a forward thrust-kick. After a few minuets of his enchanted speed, Dragon allowed himself to slow down and return to normal speed, his attacks on the two offenders striking them and temporarily incapacitating them. Dragon knew the two were too stubborn to give up after that, but that gave them enough time to formulate a plan of attack.
"Oh, what just happened?" Green Fish groan inwardly.
"Want the long or short of it?" Rainbow inquired.
"Look out!" Violet Lizard suddenly shouted, then used her ring to create a force field.
Also noticing what the reptile saw, Green Fish aided her as he combined his energy with hers and doubled the strength of the force field; just as a hug blast was about to blow them away. Above the four was Red Ox and Yellow Vermin, who looked pissed off with a vengeance, had combined beams of energy and had hoped to use it to kill the heroes. Just as Dragon was about to use his enchanted speed, when Green Fish was suddenly engulfed in flaming aura and his eyes were glowing white. Not only that, but his part of the force field was amplified with enough energy that it actually reflected the blast back at the two. The two were merely thrown a couple of altitudes away, but were simultaneously blasted by rays of blue energy; sending the two crashing to the ground once again. Turning to look who else had come to their aid, the group was fairly surprised to see another colored individual enter the fray that was similar to the six other, but was an avian with a blue outfit that had a silhouette of a bird on the chest; he was even blue in feather and eye coloring. This guy had come to their rescue, it also appeared that the aura of his presence was giving Green Wolf a "power boost", he was (literally) true blue. The avian levitated downward till he reached where the group stood and since his presence and kind smile were seen, it was clear that his guy was a friendly.
"And you would be?" Dragon inquired.
"From the looks of things here and that I have similar but different abilities to four people here . . ." The avian stated casually, despite the battle going on. "You may call me "Blue Bird"."
Well that's a fine Zippity Do Dah.
"Quite, it's a surprise to hear two voices from one individual."
"Tell me about it." Dragon sighed.
"Yeah, can we talk about hearing voices another time?" Green wolf asked. "Red-skin and Ol' Yeller are starting to get back up."
True to his word, the two, albeit wobbly and apparently painfully, were slowly climbing to their feet; they didn't seem all that happy either.
"Looks like pleasantries are on hold, for now." Violet Lizard remarked with wide eyes.
"We need a plan; now!" Peacock stated exasperated.
"I think I got one . . . huddle!" Dragon called, then after a few minuets of words here and there, everyone was ready to put their plan in action. "Ready?"
"BREAK!" The others clapped.
Rainbow Peacock made the first move, shooting out a spectrum-colored beams of energy, which all began to turn into multiple RPs till there was a small army's worth. The clones flew at the two, who tried to shoot at the avian, only for them to vanish and reappear; they were all just illusions created by Rainbow Peacock! Before either could react, both were struck by energy constructs in the shapes of giant fists; courtesy of Green Fish a Blue Bird, and were sent colliding with each other. It was then that the illusions of RP vanished and the real one took out his whip, threw it towards the two, caught them by the ankles, then pulled them to the ground. Crashing down, neither Red Ox nor Yellow Vermin had any time to recover when they were caught by energy chains that were created by Violet Lizard, then thrown into the air. Dragon stood his ground as he took out his Bo, which began to extend till it was at least 16 feet in length; longer than a long pole would be! After experiencing more flashes of images in his head, Dragon and Steel Monkey channeled their Chi into the staff and as the two hostiles fell back down . . .
"And now, for the end game!" Dragon stated, channeling his and "Dragon . . ."
. . . Monkey . . .
". . . Twister Inferno!" They both called out.
It was at that moment that Dragon was engulfed in flames, held the staff by the base on his shoulders (making him look like a scarecrow) then began to spin clockwise rapidly and created a tornado made of flames. Soon as the bovine and rodent met the tornado, they were both sucked in, stuck by the staff, then catapulted away. Dragon used his super speed to fast forward ahead of them, stop at a good distance away, held the long pole by the very end, then waited for the right moment to strike. Just as the two were closing in, Dragon ran a few yards, then thrust the other end of the pole into the ground to help him vault upwards. Deciding to give an extra charge to the hero's next attack, Green Fish, Blue Bird, and Violet Lizard shot rays of energy into Rainbow Peacock, who channeled his own powers to mix with the new energy in his body. The avian then shot two rainbow-colored rays to the pole as it spiraled up to Dragon, then as it reached mentioned hero, Dragon channeled the energy into his Chi . . .
"Monkey Spectrum Pull-Vault Split-Kick!" The combined hero called out, split-kicking both hostiles.
As both Red Ox and Yellow Vermin were hit on impact, both crashed back to the ground, just as Dragon Monkey-Style landed gracefully onto his feet; his Bo now regular sized. As soon as he reached the ground, the combined hero was back to being two separate heroes, but even though victory was in the heroes favor as they all met back up, both their opponents once again stood onto their feet. Sure, the heroes were very worn by now, but the bovine and rodent appeared to be in a worse condition. Suddenly, Vermin's suit and aura began to flicker as if it were a light bulb that was about to burn out, then everything (suit and aura) began to retreat back into the ring. There stood Mortimer Winker, who fell over into unconsciousness, a rodent made of yellow energy appearing seconds after as it hissed at the group, then vanished. Red Ox looked as though he were about to go on the attack, despite his fatigued state, when he was suddenly engulfed in an indigo-colored light. After a quick flash, the ring flew off of the ox's finger, taking the suit and aura with it; a snarling red bull (not the sports drink, mind you) appearing just after, which retreated back into the ring. There stood the form of Gabriel Maxwell, who looked shocked yet happy that he was free from his "confinement" of his own inner rage. He too fell to the ground into unconsciousness. Standing over the bovine's body was yet another colored being, indigo this time with a silhouette of a cellophane on the chest, and held an odd staff-like item in hand. He also appeared to be a bear of some sort, something Dragon knew all too well (especially since he and his legal guardian were of the Ursidae family).
"Hello, saw he needed help and thought I'd lend a hand." The bear greeted, before anything else could be said, he looked to his watch. "Oh, sorry I can't stay, my soap is on; later."
And just like that, the bear flew away without another word; everyone just stared in confusion, what just happened. It was at that very moment that two jingles went off, then Violet Lizard and Blue Bird took out their own personnel cell-phones; the reptile receiving a text whilst the avian received an actual call.
Hey, back home. Meet me later?
Dyl;)
"Sorry, gotta jam!" The reptile called, flying away.
"Hello?" Blue Bird answered his phone.
"Don, we start in ten minuets, are you on you way?" The caller asked with a mid-Eastern accent.
"On my way as we speak, Mohall. Sorry, need to be somewhere, perhaps we'll meet again."
With that said, the blue avian flew away as Green Fish took a peek at his watch and Rainbow Peacock answered a phone of his own after hearing it's ringtone.
"Gotta go, going to be late for a date." The green canine stated, flying away from the battle zone. "Later!"
"Johnny, you're on the news, care to explain?" The avian's caller asked.
"I'll get right on that." RP replied, then began to rush away. "Ciao, guys, it's been fun!"
"Dude, I'd help you out, but my body's killing me; see ya!" Steel Monkey moaned, then sped away.
"Yeah, sure, leave Dragon to clean up the mess." Dragon mumbled sarcastically, but something caught his eye just as he was about to help the ox and snake. "What the heck is-"
He didn't have time to finish as a group of black Hummers surrounded the area, but as people exited the vehicles, he saw that they weren't with the ECPD. They appeared to people in black suits (the ones with ties) and some looked as though they were with the CIA or ATF, but Dragon knew that they had no allegiance to either organization. It was then that he noticed that there were even some in white coats that had three glass-like containers; all three of which held the rings with the entities. It was then that he noticed that Silver Phantom was still present and was as equally baffled about the people present. Weird, Dragon had almost completely (If only for a moment) forgot that he was still there, but he wasn't involved with the plan so that was expected. It was more than likely he was sitting back and working on a contingency plan for when the heroes failed in taking down Red Ox and Yellow Vermin; not like he would have since he had no love for heroism. He shook the thoughts away, he had better things to worry about than "Mr. Attitude". What really got his attention was that he spotted two "agents" carrying the unconscious snake from where he was hidden as well as the bovine, then saw two black suits handcuffing Winker, even though he wasn't awake. Dragon tried to gain the attention of the people walking back and forth, but had no luck; how could they be ignoring the "Guardian of Empire City"?
"Um, excuse me, excuse me, hello; oh, for the love of Jesus Christ-" Tired of being ignored, Dragon restored to one thing. "HEY!"
That got everyone's attention, seeing as all eyes were now on him. Regaining his composure, Dragon looked around and sucked in a huge breath.
"Okay, who here among you is in charge?"
"That would be me."
Dragon turned and saw what appeared to be a female Afghan saluki who appeared to be in her mid-thirties with a very slim figure that had short, wiry black fur (with white on the inside of her neck downwards), slender tail, pointed muzzle, floppy ears, long raven-black hair in a ponytail, and dark-brown eyes. She wore a dark-blue Kevlar like suit, with matching boots, a sort of gun hollistered right side of her suit and an eagle symbol with the words "ETERNITY" etched on the right side of the chest. She stood upright, composed, and watched Dragon with the calmest look the hero ever saw; almost as though she had been through something like this or similar.
"You're in charge, of course you are." Dragon said, taking a deep breath. "Three things: who are you people, what are you doing here, and what up with the "spy gear" stuff?"
"First: we're agents of the covert operations organization, ETERNITY-" The saluki said, though everything seemed to freeze after after the first sentence.
This caught Dragon's complete attention. He heard of ETERNITY, he saw it many times whenever he watched TV or was out and about when he was a little boy, they even teamed up with Robert when he was Dragon. But after his supposed "death", their involvement with Empire City started to become rare as time went by. If they were here, then that meant that a lot of serious things were up; none of which were good. Another came to Dragon, what if they knew who the previous one was, what if they knew who he was beneath the mask. A backup thought popped into his head: if they knew who either Dragon was beneath their masks, then why didn't they approach them by now?
"My real name is of no importance, but you may refer to me by my codename: Iron Gates. As for the rest-"
"That's what I'd like to know as well."
Both Dragon and "Iron Gates" turned to see a law official approaching, but this person was far from being any normal law enforcer. He was a middle-aged male German shepherd wearing a white polo shirt with a black tie around the collar, gun suspender with a SIG SAUR P320 handgun holstered on the left breast, a brown trench coat, black slacks that were held up by a brown leather belt, black boots. The canine himself had a nicely toned figure with brown and black fur, pointed ears and muzzle, medium-sized tail, short blonde hair, and pale crystal-blue eyes. This person was none other than the father of Po's best friend, Jeff Speakman, and the Commissioner of the Empire City Police; Seth Speakman.
"This is a guy who needs no introduction what so ever . . . but I'm going to give him one anyway; ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls of all ages, the Commissioner of the Empire City Police Department and yours truly's number one support: Seth Speakman!"
Images show of the German shepherd standing in front a crime scene, then casting a series look towards the readers.
"Tell you right now, this guy is awesome, not only does he not mind me or any other person with superpowers helping out, but he's also been known team up with Rob when he was Dragon before me."
Images show of Seth standing side by side with Robert when he was Dragon, then to the both of them fighting off random thugs.
"He just so happens to be the father of my best friend, Jeff, and he's well versed in advanced hand-to-hand combat, with or without a weapon in hand. Seriously, when he resorts to using lethal force; he will use lethal force. Uno problema: he didn't know Robert was Dragon and even though his own son knows I'm the new guy . . . Seth himself doesn't know it's me behind the mask. I don't like lying to my best friend's father, especially since he's a very nice and reasonable guy, not only the fact he's the Police Commissioner. It's just I need to trust certain individuals with my secret, plus I'd be arrested for being a vigilante if he ever found out who I really was, despite me helping around the city. Still, if I ever need someone to watch my back, I'm glad it's Seth . . ."
The scenery changes to Seth tussling his son's (Jeff) hair, then to him practicing some strikes on a punching bag in a workout gym, in a shooting gallery, even practicing with a baton and nightstick. Images shift to Robert taking off his mask while Seth took no notice as the bear walked across a dimly lit street, only to have Po emerge from the other side. Final images show Dragon leaping over a lot of buildings, when he noticed Seth drinking a cup of coffee, leading the hero to give a two finger salute, which was greeted back by a nod by the canine.
"Glad you could make it." Dragon joked, bringing a smirk to the canine. "Was it hard to locate us."
"Not really, because we received a call from a couple of reporters . . ." Seth replied, casting a glare at a cat and mouse leaning against a nearby police car, smiling sheepishly. "Now then, as Police Commissioner, I'd like to know what the Hell is going on here."
"I'm afraid I'm not at liberty to say, Commissioner." "Iron Sides" stated professionally. "But you have my word that we have the situation at hand."
Dragon watched as both the unconscious snake and ox were on levitating gurneys and loaded onto two different ETERNITY ambulances, which had him thinking of the worst. Though it made him feel somewhat better that Winker was being dragged in what appeared to be a prisoner transport van, he had high hopes that the bovine and reptile were in better condition. It was obvious that the two were under influence from the entities that possessed the rings, but it was going to be hard to convince people otherwise.
"Will those two be-" Dragon gestured to the transports.
"They'll make a full recovery and the rodent will be transported to one of our holding penitentiaries." The saluki stated, then pulled out and held out what appeared to be a business card with the ETERNITY symbol and a red dot in the center. "Before I leave, Commissioner, my superior instructed me to give you this."
"What is it?" Seth asked, confused as he examined the card.
"Just press the red dot if there's an emergency, we'll keep in touch. And Dragon, we will be watching you and the Five; stay alert."
With that said and done, the saluki walked to on of the Jeeps, then drove away with the other Jeeps, Hummers, and ambulances following in suit. Seth kept a stern look, his gaze switching between the card in hand and the departing vehicles; who were these people, and were they to be trusted? Sure, he was taking a huge risk placing faith in Dragon and other like him since they were basically vigilantes, but at least he could read a person to see if they were trustworthy or not. Though it was hard to read the female canine, what with her passive stature, he'd be able to detect even the slightest sign if she were friend or foe. Since he didn't detect anything hostile related, he figured that she was indeed an ally. He heard stories of ETERNITY, some of which went back to the WWII Era, but the last time they involved themselves was when the last Dragon "died"; they reappearance wasn't a good feeling, but the aid was appreciated..
"So, need any help cleaning up?" Dragon gestured their surroundings.
"No need, we got Chaos Control for that, but thanks anyway." Seth stated. "Well, I'm going out for lunch after I chew out those dumbasses, care to tag along?"
"I'm good, have a good one."
Soon as both hero and law enforcer parted ways Phantom rushed up till he was directly behind Dragon.
"Hey-" Phantom called out.
"It changes nothing between us." Dragon interrupted, his back still turned.
"What?"
"Me saving your can earlier, it changes nothing between us . . . That's what you were going to say, wasn't it?"
Instead of waiting for a response, Dragon proceeded to leap away, leaving the silver-clad figure to look around and see if he could spot the collie he saw earlier. When he saw no sign of her, he dropped his head and let out the heaviest sigh he ever made, but it was one of defeat rather than exhaustion. True he felt nothing different about heroism, even after what had happened earlier, it was something else that was nagging at him.
"It was . . . . but I wanted to say it . . ." Phantom grumbled, then began to fly away from the crime scene.
In an unknown location in what appeared to be an abandoned warehouse of some sorts, were two figures watching the evening news report, with Robyn Rehdcrest; apparently straining a smile as she gave her report on the recent Dragon team up:
"-After the intervention of Dragon, Steel Monkey and other "colorful" characters, not one or two, but three culprits were taken down. With help of two of our most dedicated (and highly idiotic, I'll be having a word with them later) reporters, police officials were able to arrive just in time to bump into the Special Ops organization known as ETERNITY. Though it's been confirmed the ones dubbed "Orange Snake" and "Red Ox" were under unidentified influences, the one known dubbed "Yellow Rodent" was seen being escorted to one of the ETERNITY vessels. What ETERNITY wanted intends to do with Rodent or where they'll be taking him is currently unknown. What we do know is that we owe thanks to those who worked together to put a stop to the carnage that took place only a few minuets prior. Live from Midtown Empire City, thus has been Robyn Rehdcrest, back to you, Claude-"
"Turn it off."
The command was answered as the screen went dark and the lights around the room brightened up to reveal two distinctive figures, a Javanese rhinoceros and a water buffalo. The rhino appeared to be in his mid-thirties with a moderately toned up body that had grey skin, small slender tail with a black tuft of fur, rectangular muzzle with a cracked ivory horn, nearly shaven head, and black-colored eyes. The water buffalo appeared to be slightly older as well as taller and had a burly muscular body with grey-colored fur, medium-sized tail with a small black tuft, nearly shaven head like the rhino's, and amber-colored eyes. Though the rhino wore a green shirt and the water buffalo wore a red T-shirt, both wore clothing worm by the Skullz gang, only with brown trench coats rather than leather jackets. These two weren't just any ordinary gang members, they were in fact the de facto leader and his second-in-command of the Skullz, Barnaby Hundun and Temutai "Ri Tsui"; to everyone else, they were Rocksteady and Charles Temutai Jr. Hundun, as he preferred to be called since he absolutely hated his first name, was once a police officer in the ECPD, but was fired after his superiors found out he was taking bribes from criminals. The ones who was responsible for exposing him was a then Captain Seth Speakman and his older half-brother, Commander Holdstrom Speakman.
Temutai was just as infamous, he was the delinquent son of triad leader, Temutai Ri Tsui or as he was known on the street; Charles Temutai (Sr. since he named his son after himself). Both finding out they had equal hatred for law and authority, they teamed up and rounded up recruits after the previous Dragon "sacrificed" himself. However, their operations were strained upon the appearance of the new one, even their shipment of the "good stuff" needed to be incognito. It had to be better than what had happened in March . . . though it wasn't so bad since Hundun was confident that his "competition" was out for a while.
"Damn, the news is boring." Hundun grumbled, shifting in his seat, then smiled lecherously. "Still, would mind doing a "private interview" with that Rehdcrest chick."
"You and everyone else." Temutai remarked bitterly. "So, we gonna make our move soon or what?"
"What's the rush? Lidong, Hasseleton, and Nephima are out of the picture, I'm getting a trailer of the good stuff, we're even being paid to do absolutely nothing when looking for condemned lots! Pretty soon, we're gonna be rich; filthy rich! I can see it now, mountains of cash! Tell the truth, Temutai, how does Rocksteady, the King of Wall Street sound?"
"It sounds like a damn musical with sucky music, besides, I think The Rich Bastard sounds about right."
Unbeknownst to the two, some light reflected off a hidden camera in the top left corner of the room, monitoring their every movement . . .
"-King of Wall Street sound?"
Observing then pausing a feed from a monitor was the dark form of the leader of the Nite Shadowz herself, Electra Nephima AKA Night Eyes; next to her was her second-in-command that was Drakon Natchios. Both bats were in a darkened room that, even with what little light from the monitors, was difficult to make out.
"Knew that leather head would rear his broken horn sooner or later." The male bat mused. "So, how we gonna handle those guys?"
"Just Hundun, and don't worry your pretty little head." Nephima replied, patting her second on the head. "We've something . . . special in store with him . . ."
As she spoke, the bat's eyes began to glow and slight as her gaze on the rhino became almost as piercing as a dagger . . .
In another unknown area stood another figure that was a hulking mass of a person, who ever they may be, another stood by the larger's side as they too had their gaze on monitors with video feed of Hundun and Temutai. Upon closer inspection the smaller figure was a crocodile that appeared to be in his mid-thirties with a moderately muscled body with brownish-green scales, long plated tail, long narrow muzzle, short raven-black mohawk, and mustard-yellow eyes; he also wore the colors of the ScaleZ gang. This person was known as Fung, a low-level thug who was known on accounts of breaking and entering who soon became second-in-command of the ScaleZ because he was Lidong's (AKA Lockjaw) cousin.
"So, what are we going to do to them, Lidong?" Fung asked, sadistic eagerness apparent in his voice.
"Leave that to us." Lidong, still hidden in the shadows, replied calmly. "There's a . . . score to be settled . . ."
Though only his Amber-yellow eyes were seen, It was obvious to see that there was malice in his seemingly contempt and passive facial features . . .
In a third dimly lit and disclosed location stood two more figures, both of which appeared to be female, who were observing another set of monitors with the feed of Hundun and Temutai. Though one was obscured in the shadows, the other female was shown to be a young dove that appeared to be in her mid-twenties with a slender figure that had snowy-white feathers, short tail feathers, short white beak, long white snowy-hair, and green eyes; She wore what appeared to be the colors of the Raptorz gang. This person was known as Suzette Desjardins, the second-in-command of the Raptorz as well as the best friend of the leader, Wendie Hasseleton AKA Fenghuang, the avian of which stood in the shadows. Though not as widely known as her leader/bestie, she was a master strategist who would use her looks on unsuspecting guys to distract them. Sometimes she loved to get intimate with her victims if she liked what she saw.
"Any plans?" Suzette asked curiously.
"We got it handled." Hasseleton replied offhandedly. "Turnabout is fair play after all . . ."
As she gazed at the flickering image of Hundun, her violet-colored eyes began to glow as brightly as wildfire . . .

Finally, not only has this chap been updated after all these weeks, but not Episode 2 has been put to rest; and so have I! Seriously, you don't know how long and hard I've been at this chap, it was not (in any which way but loose) easy to do. I also had to skip lunch a few days ago when I realized that it was nearly a month was up and I still didn't update my story. I apologize whole heartedly for not updating sooner, my mind is still a big mess (sorry if I'm sounding like a broken record) and it didn't help it was hot a few days ago; I almost had a heat stroke, I felt lightheaded, and I still feel as though I'm having an aneurysm. Anyway, like I've said before, Comic Con has wrapped up, many announcements and trailers were witnessed, and posters revealed; I think I may pass out. I just cannot believe the my favorite book series is finally going to be a movie; from book to episode, now the big screen shall finish the evolutionary chain. Man, well, till the next time any awesome TV series or big budget blockbuster (miss the franchise of the same name) is announced or has their trailers shown online or televised, this is the King of 2211; signing off.
P.S.
I apologize for not updating in July, it was Hell. SO.
R.I.P. Robin Williams
To those who haven't heard, Robin Williams, the man who brought Popeye the Sailor Man to life and took us on a magical adventure as Genie in Aladdin as well as a thrilling chase in the jungles of Jumanji, has passed away. It hurts me so much because he was one of my many favorite actors and a huge part of my childhood. From the TV sitcom Mork and Mindy, then to his first movie role as Popeye, then from between now and then, he gave each and every one of us something inside. I'm sorry if I'm sounding sappy, but I can't help it, I will miss his work from now till the day I pass on. If you were a fan of Williams, and sadden by his passing, let it be known now that you are not alone. Let us bow our heads in tribute of his many talents. We will miss him and moving on will be hard, but we must bear through, he wouldn't want us sad; he tried so hard to make us laugh. It'll hurt to remember him being gone, but we have to look to the future.
Godspeed, Robin Williams, you will never, EVER be forgotten as long as comedy still exists.
