(A/N: Hello everyone! Welcome back to the story.

Before I began this chapter, I had forgotten how the previous chapter had ended. So, I had to look at how the previous chapter had ended.

And hey! This is now officially a chapter longer than the original story!

So, like usual, I do not own TWEWY, and titles mentioned or referenced or Sheridan. I only own my OCs who appear in this story.

Anyway, let's start chapter 9!)

Chapter 9: Mario Time!

(Note: Yes, I know I shouldn't be adding this at the beginning of the chapter. I couldn't come up with a title, but the gameplay of New Super Mario Bros. Wii will most likely be finished.)

(A few hours later…)

(Penelope's house)

"Mario anyone? Maybe we'll finally finish our playthrough!"

"We can play while the door is repaired." Joshua indicated.

"You were the one who broke the door, idiot."

"Penelope, it's impolite to call people idiots. You should mind your manners."

"You still broke the door though, didn't you, Yoshiya?"

"Please call me Joshua." Joshua growled.

"Yeah, no."

"You do realize I could just erase you, do you not?"

"And YOU do realize you are being an annoying brat, do you not?"

"Both of you shut up and quit arguing. We're not going to get anywhere if you don't quit it."

Opening up her bedroom door, Penelope started up the game.

"Okay! Let's finish this game!"

(A few hours later)

Penelope, Neku, Shiki and Joshua got to the last level.

"Jeez, look at that freaking castle!" Neku pointed.

"I know, right? Cool design." Penelope complimented.

"Meh. I'd do some remodeling and redecoration. It looks ridiculously savage for a castle design."

"Joshua, no one asked for your opinion, besides, what happened to Traverse Town?"

"Hm?"

"I SWEAR YOU WERE THE ONE WHO REDECORATED IT!" Penelope shouted.

"Pardon? It's rude to make false accusations, Penelope, dear."

"Yes, and you are being highly hypocritical because you yourself are rude."

"Are you trying to start something?"

"Am I now, JOSHUA? AM I?"

"Quit shouting Penelope, dear."

"I swear to…IF YOU CALL ME "PENELOPE DEAR" ONE MORE TIME, I WILL KILL YOU THREE TIMES OVER."

"Somebody is in a violent mood tonight now, hm?"

"YOU TRIED TO FREAKING KILL ME! DOES IT LOOK LIKE I'M IN A GOOD MOOD?!"

"I don't know, are you?"

Neku groaned. "Do I have to be the peacemaker between you two? I seriously do not want to babysit either of you!

"Yes Neku and I don't want to deal with "his highness"."

"Why thank you."

"I DID NOT MEAN THAT AS A COMPLIMENT, YOSHIYA."

"It's Joshua, Penelope, dear."

Penelope stood up, aiming her Wii Remote at Joshua.

"What did you just call me?"

"Did I say something?"

"You're avoiding the question. I asked you something and you are going to answer it."

"You have no control over me."

"YEAH, AND IF I DID, LIFE WOULD BE MUCH EASIER!"

Joshua giggled. "Oh really now?"

Penelope frowned. Now honestly, there were very few ways to get Joshua to quit it.

And she was going to use her favorite way.

Clutching a bit of Joshua's ash blonde hair, Penelope violently tugged on it, making Joshua groan. "Ow!"

"Oh, I don't have any control of you, Composer?"

"Don't tug on my hair!" Joshua whined.

In response, Penelope yanked on his hair much harder.

"Oh? Like this?"

"Hey, we can't start the game without the leader!" Neku indicated.

"Well, I can NOT deal with this guy being a control freak!"

"Me? A control freak? You do realize you are being highly hypocritical yourself, right?"

"Oh shut up, Composer!"

The two began arguing; highly annoying Neku and making Shiki cover her ears.

"WILL BOTH OF YOU JUST SHUT UP ALREADY?! DO YOU WANT TO BEAT THIS GAME OR NOT?!" Neku shouted.

Penelope went silent and Joshua giggled.

"Let's finish the game, beat Bowser and be done." Penelope growled.

(A few hours later)

(After "beating" Bowser)

After Bowser fell into the lava pit below like usual, Penelope sighed in relief.

"We finished it."

That was when Penelope remembered something/

"Wait. We're not done yet."

"What?" Shiki asked.

As the characters in the game that they were playing walked over to the cage "Princess Peach" was imprisoned in, Penelope shouted at the screen, "WAIT GUYS! IT'S A TRAP!"

In response, she got strange looks from Neku, Shiki and Joshua, but they soon realized she was right, because this "Princess Peach" turned out to be a Magikoopa in disguise.

As it began to use its magic on the lava pit, Neku was yelling at Penelope, "HOW THE HELL DID YOU KNOW IT WAS A TRAP?!"

"I JUST REMEMBERED MY FIRST PLAYTHROUGH, OKAY?!"

M'sieur Lapin and the Bunny Squad cowered away.

"ROOOAAARRR!"

They saw a gigantic Bowser on the screen.

"Well, that was unexpected."

"SHUT UP AND PLAY THE GAME."

(Afterwards)

"We finally beat it…" Shiki sighed.

Beat opened the door and Rhyme was with him.

"What happened? Why were you panicking a few minutes ago?"

"What jus' happened, yo?"

Penelope laughed nervously before saying, "Sorry, game, final boss, yeah."

"I don't get it." Rhyme said in confusion.

"This Mario game series is rather intriguing…" Joshua stated.

Penelope glared at him. "You better not be getting any thoughts of how to make my life much more miserable than it already is."

Joshua giggled. "Did I say something?"

Penelope frowned before shaking her head.

"Now that the game is off of my schedule…I need to check if something came in the mail."

Beat and Rhyme stepped out of the way as the Reaper headed outside. Luckily, the door was fixed, so she didn't have to wait. Upon exiting her house, Penelope checked outside and opened up her mailbox.

She then walked back in and sorted her mail.

That was when she found a packet.

"Here it is…"

She found a supply list for school.

"School starts in a few weeks…so I better get prepared."

Penelope set the paper down and went to finding a box outside.

"And here are my uniforms for this year!"

Remembering her Reaper wings, Penelope assumed they might go through, considering that whenever she changed her outfit, the wings would go through and not affect her clothing.

Neku, Shiki, Joshua, Beat and Rhyme stepped out/away from the door, and noticed Penelope was opening the door up, with a supply list in hand.

"Sorry guys! I have to leave to get school supplies. Besides, school starts in a few weeks."

"School…?"

"See ya!"

Closing the door, Penelope went off to get school supplies.

"So…?" Neku asked everyone else.

Joshua immediately dialed a number in his phone and went to talking.

"Of course."

"Is that usual?" Shiki asked.

"It's Joshua. During the 2nd week of the game, at the beginning of pretty much every morning, Joshua would immediately get on his phone, or already be on the phone."

Joshua momentarily quit talking and glared at Neku.

"What? It's true!"

"Shh. Be quiet." Joshua then continued to talk on the phone.

Neku stared at Joshua in disbelief, Shiki tilted her head, Beat only said, "What the hell?" under his breath and Rhyme was silent.

After Joshua was done speaking, Neku shouted, "What the hell?! Why were you telling us to be quiet when you were able to deal with speaking on the phone in Scramble Crossing?!"

"Because it's quieter in here, and it's much louder when you speak."

Neku stared at the Composer before saying, "You're impossible, you know that?"

"Am I now?"

"Oh whatever!"

(A few hours later)

Penelope came back carrying a few bags.

"I'm glad I've saved a lot of Yen. Its good I haven't spent much lately…"

"Welcome home~"

Penelope groaned. "Oh god, why did I forget that they were still here?"

Joshua frowned. "Somebody's in a bad mood now, hm?"

"Oh shut up!" Penelope hissed before going straight into her room.

"Sheesh, someone has issues with me trying to be nice to them."

"She hates you already, so you trying to be nice to her might serve as a capital offense." Shiki indicated.

"Yes, and you just had to say that, didn't you?"

A Wii Remote hit Joshua in the back of the head once again (We all remember that time in Chapter 2, don't we?).

"QUIT THROWING THAT AT ME!" Joshua yelled.

"ITS GOOD STRESS RELIEF FOR ME!" Penelope shouted back.

"HOW IS IT STRESS RELIEF? THAT'S RIDICULOUS!"

Neku mumbled, "Wow…you'd never expect Joshua to yell."

Joshua glared at Neku. "Don't tell me you're okay with this!"

"I never said I was. Only if I were able to do that."

"Do you know how much it hurts?"

"No, but I don't want to be on the wrong end of that remote."

"Oh really now?"

Neku realized that Joshua was probably more ticked off than he already was.

"You know what? I'm going to walk away now. In fact, I highly suggest everyone who is no Joshua leaves the room."

As Neku turned away and began to walk off, the Wii Remote hit HIM in the back of the head this time.

"OW!"

Neku heard Joshua giggle and he turned around. "HOW THE HELL IS THAT FUNNY?"

"Now you feel my pain."

"You didn't have to throw a Wii Remote at me!"

"Well, Neku, I guess I already did."

"You can be a royal pain sometimes, you know that?!"

"Why thank you."

Neku groaned. "Now I completely understand why Penelope also finds him a pain."

Penelope came back out of her room and retrieved her remote.

"I can't play Super Paper Mario without the P1 remote."

"Super Paper Mario?" Neku asked.

"It's in the Paper Mario series." Penelope boredly answered before walking back in her room with the remote.

"Well then. Penelope has a lot of games relating to Mario, does she not?"

"IT'S COMMON FOR NINTENDO SYSTEMS TO HAVE MARIO GAMES! I MEAN, MARIO IS PRETTY MUCH NINTENDO'S MASCOT!" Penelope shouted from her bedroom.

Joshua began to think about something and Neku gulped. "I have no clue what he's thinking about and if he's getting an idea, I do NOT want to know what it is."

(A few minutes later…)

"STUPID SUPER DIMENTIO! WILL YOU JUST DIE ALREADY? YOU ARE ALREADY MUCH MORE ANNOYING THAN ZANZA BY NOW!"

Beat opened the door and yelled, "Will you jus' be quiet for one…"

He then noticed the TV screen.

"What the hell?"

"I know Beat. Super Dimentio looks really freaking weird and I don't blame you."

Neku walked in the room. "What are you shouting about…?"

Neku stared at the TV. "What the…WHAT IS THAT?"

"You know what? I just can't explain anymore. Yes, the Final Boss of Super Paper Mario is weird, yes the Final Boss of Super Paper Mario is really freaking messed up, YES I CAN NOT FREAKING DESCRIBE IT, LET ME FOCUS."

Neku and Beat left the room and Neku shut the door.

"What's wrong now?" Joshua asked

"Trust me; I don't want to even explain."

"Its Mario related, isn't it?"

"Joshua, I don't even know anymore, don't ask."

"Now the Mario series in intriguing me even more. Ah well, my idea will work out eventually."

"Idea…? You know what? I don't even want to friggin know."

As Neku and Beat walked away, Joshua said quietly.

"I wonder if it's possible to open a gateway like I did with those Vocaloid things…maybe I could. But for now, it will just have to wait."

(A/N: Yes, this is somewhat of a hint to the third part, but this isn't the end yet!

The Wii Remote thing will also occur multiple times during this story. It does hurt to be hit with a Wii Remote.

Like usual, review if you'd like, please don't flame (especially for the multiple Mario references and mentions) and I will see you all in the next chapter!

Before we end, here's a quick fun fact!

Fun Fact: I have a nickname for Magikoopas in the Mario series, and I call them Harry Potters, referencing the Harry Potter series considering they use Magic. I don't know why, I just do.

Once again, see you all in the next chapter!

Ciao!)
