Hey guys so it's finally here. The next chappy! I just want to write down the changes I made, well there's only one, which is that Winry isn't a shy girly girl but is an ex-social anxietist (I know that word doesn't exist) and cool silent badass. Now that she's dating Ed she has her girly moments.

Is that I would like to start a little friendly competition. This story currently has 27 reviews so the deal is that my 35th reviewer will get the next chapter via email a week before I post it. Good deal? Bad deal? Well let's try it out. And I'll send a virtual cake, not a cookie! Haha!

Here goes chapter 9 of One Kiss Leads to Trouble.

The snow is clearing up and the sky is becoming dull with colour, the less it snows the less the brilliant blue covers the sky. Spring will arrive with its warm rays of sun and will retract eyes from staring at the cold winter blue surrounding it. Edward felt like the sky every time his father came back from business trips; he felt like his father was the sun… bright and distracting.

Winry noticed his displeasure; she hadn't known that everyone in Edward's life would excite themselves when they heard that his father had returned. Until she found out why… the Elric brothers father was Mr Hohenheim the Principle of their school. It's Weird that this school adored him. How had she not known for this long boggled her mind. Well for starters his sons' last names were Elric. Secondly she hadn't seen him before, not even in pictures the boys had in the apartment and thirdly the brothers told her that their father was a traveling business man.

So he had two jobs. Edward said the reason is that he can't connect with him and his sibling and decides to run away and use his job as an excuse. Winry didn't want to protest since she didn't know anything about their relationship but had said to him "Regardless of what has happened over the years, he is still your father and you should try to talk to him"

He wanted to protest but how so? She had a point; he can't block him out when he's around trying to be a father. He wanted to though; the thought was so deeply entrenched in his heart. But what would that accomplish? Only an upset brother and a disappointed girlfriend.

So he had made up his mind and not to argue, fight or scowl upon his father. Easier said than done. The first few days Hohenheim returned he was determined to make a trusting foundation with Edward. 'What a load of crap' Edward thought. Age 17 and he is starting to care about him, Ed was starting to think that Karma caught up to him. But regardless Edward did try hard not to rain on his father's parade and just grunted in response indicating the 'you can do whatever the hell you want'.

Hohenheim came back to keep an eye in Ed, this inheritance could not be passed onto his brothers offspring. So he was to not let Ed slip up within the last stretch, his son would crap on him later but this was only for Ed's benefit not his own.

Van Hohenheim came into his office the following morning he arrived home. He loved the school since he was a student himself when he and his family immigrated from Xerxes.

Before he left Alphonse had told him he'd come past and tell his dad some 'gap fillers' as Al put it. Out of all honesty Van was sad it always hear news come from his youngest and none from his oldest, he loved Al truly he did but he felt like none was shared between Ed and himself. Yes he loved Ed on principle but he had not shared any common streak with the boy since before the accident. That's when he stopped Alphonse before he went out the door.

"Bring your brother too"

Al smiled at the request.

So here he was waiting till the bell rang for lunch, he agreed to meet his boys by his car so he could drive them to lunch. The last 5 minutes gnawed onto his mind and decided to chew some time by walking to the car.

2 minutes left…

Now he remembered what he hated about school

When it had finally rung the father had searching the perimeter in hopes he would find two figures instead of one. As he kept searching he saw two golden glows, no he saw three.

"Peculiar" he muttered.

A girl was with them, let's be more specific. She was with Ed, fingers entangled with the eldest Elric; Ed was restraining the blush that sprawled across his cheeks. He wanted to die on the spot when his father's eyes would not stop looking at the young couple in awe.

Was he not dating the young Thomas twin when he had left? Now he had to get answers. Van had to admit this young lady was a looker, and by the books she carried in her hand, from advanced biology and automail engineering, he could tell she was not an idiot. Far from it.

She did compliment her son as well. Her blue orbs next to her sons made them look like brighter like the sun as he made hers look like the deep ocean blue. Her hair was a lighter blonde than his gold. Standing next to each other he'd felt like he entered Amestris national bank and he had hit the mother-load. Her soft smile made Edwards scowl disappear and replaced with the corners if his mouth turning upward.

Van was taken out of his thoughts when Al coughed for attention.

"Good to see you boys. And to you too miss…."

"Rockbell, Winry Rockbell" she introduced herself

"She's Ed's girlfriend" Al cheekily chirped

"Thanks for introducing her Al" Ed hissed and his brother reply by playfully pulling his tongue at him

"Weren't you dating-"

"Can we not stand in the parking lot and speak of it here" Ed interrupted and getting elbowed by Winry.

When they arrived at the café Ed vaguely spoke of his break up with Noa and how he met Winry. Winry was kind enough with the elaborations, and that's when Hohenheim figured out why his son brought the young lady with, she was his calming agent so to speak. He did notice that she had a temper of her own but was suppressed by focusing her attention on Ed. And well with her there talking about things Ed didn't want to speak of did make the lunch go down better.

Al did brag about how Ed landed him a girlfriend and how pretty Julia is and I mean the boy rattled on about her eyes, her hair, her brain. Ed chuckled and teased his brother on how nervous he was on his first date. Al couldn't get out of the house because he had changed 7 times and still wasn't satisfied when he left the house.

The topic of Julia got Ed's brain replaying, not about Julia herself but on the person who tried to frame him with the specially taken photo that was sent all over the campus. Al and he wondered if it had been Ennis. Well now was a good time to address the family problem with their father.

"Hohenheim I have a question" Ed never really addressed his father by calling him dad. Hohenheim nodded to let his son ask his question.

"What is Dwayne's problem with his kids? More specifically Ennis, that kid is always off the hook for chargeable crimes. It has become clearer to Al and I that he is out to get us, I'm not asking for anything but an answer if you can provide one" Ed was being formal but it was better than a rude way of asking.

Van knew exactly why, he couldn't say anything though which will be brought up again in the future to haunt him for 'un-parent-like behaviour'. But he can't peep a word of his son's inheritance. This wasn't going to be unnoticed by Grumman though; those strikes Ed received were because of his sibling's offspring. He needed proof though or it's just an accusation or looking upon their situation will be seen as family rivalry

"Why hadn't you mentioned this before?" he asked his oldest

Al and Winry cringed at the question, they knew what was coming.

"Because. You're. Never. HERE!" Ed snarled. He risen from his chair and walked off. Winry was peeved too, not at Van but angrily she followed her hot tempered boyfriend.

"Dad I am a little worried for Ed. I don't knock heads with Ennis often but it looks as if Ennis is toying with him with an intention we have no clue about."

Hohenheim had to tell him, it looks like these next few days Dwayne won't be fooling around. Ennis may be a coy contender but what if Dwayne were to send Brad and Seleme? Then things will get ugly and well it won't end well if Dwayne had what he wanted, he is a slimy greedy bastard.

"Can you keep a secret Alphonse? Just till Edward's birthday"

-EW-

The next day Van saw what Grumman meant the other day, the office was filled with five knew students. 'He sent five students?' Van thought.

Well four actually. A young lady about 18 led them in. She was scary looking but also very astonishing. Long blonde hair reaching to her thigh, thick pink lips pulled into a scowl and cold blue irises met his golden view.

"Good day sir, my name is Oliver Mira Armstrong and these are my allies. My brother Alex Louis Armstrong " she gestured to the tall teen of 17 with huge muscles. –"this is Miles" she pointed to the Ishvalin teen on her far left

"Miles…"

"Just Miles the rest is classified the same goes for my friend here" he said and patted the intimidating large young man next to him. He was the same size as Alex and just as buff he did though have an automail arm and his hair was black and long, pulled into a small braid. He extended his automail arm for a handshake

"Buccaneer" he introduced himself

"Pleasure to meet you all, might I ask what schools you were from before Grumman transferred you?"

"My brother is from Central military academy and us three are from Briggs international military school" she explained "We will return once your son turns 18 then we'll depart" she said briefly.

"Thank you for warmly accepting us in your prestigious school Mr Hohenheim. We won't let you down in the pride of this establishment-" Alex finally spoke and his voiced boomed like a trumpet, his sister did punch him to shut him up and they all departed. Van gazed though his window that looked in the sitting room and there had been a boy waiting for his approval to be accepted into the school.

This boy was a scaly looking one. Van had read that he had been kicked out of 8 different schools within 3 years. Like a reasonable educator he won't judge on backgrounds.

The black haired teen handed in his entrance exam and showed a perfect score, he could not brush off the teen. He had perfect scores in everything he'd studied from elemental Alchemy to advanced trigonometry and calculus. With the uneasy settlement in his stomach Van exited his office to greet the boy.

"Afternoon Mr Kimblee, you'll be happy to hear that you have been accepted to this fine establishment. Welcome, I hope you will find your stay pleasurable."

Dun dun DUN! Yip that's a wrap, hoped you all liked it and you know what I feel damn inspired. I'm kinda excited for the next chapter cause it'll be the second or third last chapter. And I'm so proud of this story, I don't care if it sucks. I'm just so shocked on how I came so far from when I started my first fic 'NewLife' to where I am now and where I'll be later on in the future. Hells yeah I feel good! And NB guys of the little competition.

MWAH!
