Chapter 9: Terribly Wrong

?, ?'s POV

"AAHHH!"

I shot up, drenched again. Holding myy head, looked around with my eyes. 'Room. Apartment. WF.' I sighed in relief. 'It was just a nightmare...' Shaking my head, I began to start my morning activities. Cereal wasn't that special. Neither was milk. But, I had settled into a routine. That was hard to break. Before long, I was on my computer, doing the one habit I always did before my part-time job: writing.

Beep. Beep.

I looked at my phone. An unknown number was requesting a video call. Sighing, I pressed the "join" button. Once on, I saw... wait, what?!

Fenn's Cave, Josh's POV

I was mentally beaming as I saw the familar face come up. He seemed suprised, stepping back a few inches before walking back to the phone. "Is this some kind of prank?!" I chuckled. "Good to see you as always, Oliver." This got him suprised. "Wait... Josh? But... what..? How?" "It takes a long time to explain. I'm glad this worked. Listen, I need you to get Ai- Wait! Behind you!" I mentally cursed a few billion times as Oliver dissapeared, leaving only hi- no, it. It smiled and shut the phone off. I stepped back from my phone. "...Well, %$^#." 'Guess there's going to be another person... If I hurry, I might be able to make it there! Crud, why did I decide to do this in the middle of the night?!' Once I got outside the cave, I transfered a little electricity to my fur. This caused my fur to light up a little. 'Well, I'm glad that I'm able to do that.' The light caused was just enough for me to see about ten feet in front of me, but it would have to work. 'I just hope I don't run into any Pokémon with ranged moves...' Silently, I entered Lottom Woods, which was still, somehow, a Mystery Dungeon... crud.

The familar sound made me feel a little on edge. Luckily, the stairs were in the same room as me.

F2

This time, it was a little harder. I ran into a few enemies, but found the stairs rather quickly.

F3

There weren't any enemies on this floor. At first I wondered why. But then I heard a small "ding!" as I passed by some flowers and I mentally groaned. Of course, it was going to be another one of those floors. It took me a while to find out the key, but I got it eventually.

F4

Almost on the last floor. Too many enemies. I accidentally entered a Monster House. After using a random orb that stunned them, I was able to escape. And the stairs were in that room! That just shows how stupid Mystery Dungeons can be alot!

F5

Final floor! It took me forever, but I was found the stairs!

Josh made it through Lottom Woods!

Arriving at the lake, I scanned the area and quickly found the Pokémon. 'Wait... huh, that's strange. Well, actually, no, it isn't. Mewtwo is a jerk. To everybody. Not only me.' A Pokémon, that I knew was obviously Oliver, was lying in the grass, obviously asleep, luckily not fainted. The thing was, Oliver's favourite Pokémon was Snorunt. In front of me, well, was a Growlithe. 'I guess I just got lucky...' Grunting a little bit, I was able to put the Growlithe onto my back. I got turned around, and went back.

As I got to the cave, I noticed that Fenn was fast asleep, but so were Crystal and Spark. 'Huh. I guess they got back while I was gone.' Silently, I set Oliver down in a corner, and walked over to my own bed. I curled up, and began to drift into sleep.

Whew, 2 1/3 pages lonng?! I think that's a new record. And to think it only took me a day and a half to make this! Consider an early birthday present... Unlesss your birthday is today. If it is, then it's your birthday present from me! Oh, and, happy birthday! I guess... Saying that to complete random strangers is weird.

Fenn: O.O

Me: What?

Crystal: You talk waaaaaaaay too much.

Me: Oh. Whatever.
