Chapter 9: Lasting (Dip)

The second that Damien walked into the living room Pip thought it fitting to throw his copy of Great Expectations off to one side and bombard his husband with whatever was bothering him.

"We can't have a lasting relationship," he whined, obviously troubled.

"Pip… what are you talking about? We're seventy." Pip had always been a pain, but he loved him anyways.

Pip played with his thumbs. "I'm going to heaven"

"well, naturally You're an angel" he smiled, a rare occurrence.

" you're going to hell"

"oh, Pip" he hugged him. "don't worry. Wherever you wind up, I'll be there"
