Disclaimer: I do not own Twilight.
I've become so numb,
I can't feel you there,
Become so tired, so much more aware
I'm becoming this, all I want to do
Is be more like me and be less like you.

*10 MONTHS LATER - FLASHBACK*
Ten months. Ten months, of horrible living. My stomach growled as I thought about how hungry I was. I was starving. My determination to find food would drive me crazy. I decided that I was going to try and find food. I need food. My body is shutting down and I'm just so hungry. Everything was dying. Everybody was dying. I couldn't believe that this would be it. Dying at 15. Too young.
"Grandma, I'm going for a walk, okay?" I shouted as I leave the house to go try and find food. With a little luck I would find something to eat.
My search made me walk all around the local village. Nothing. No food. The place looked like it had been invaded. Blood everywhere. Lifeless bodies lay still on the cold hard ground that was once the local market. The market was empty, not that I was planning on stealing food anyways. I glanced around the corner of the market and noticed the shop keeper laying on the ground, motionless. That is until he spoke.
"Child! You have to help me!" he shouted.
"I don't know how to help you, sir," I responded.
"Child! You have to end this, pain and suffering of mine," he said. I froze. "I want you to kill me, however you'd like," he finished.
"I-I," I said at a lost of words.
"You can do it, child," he told me.
"N-No, I c-can't. I-I w-won't," I told him shaking.
"Child, please," he pleaded. His pleas scared me. I started crying and ran away as fast as I could. "Come back," I heard the shop keeper say as I ran. I kept running and never looked back.
I got far enough away from the shop keeper, I could no longer hear his pleas and screams for me to come back and kill him. No. I would not kill him, just because he wanted me to. I was not going to do such a thing, especially to such an innocence man, one who fed the entire village. I couldn't. I wouldn't. I wouldn't dare, if Grandma found out that I had killed someone she would have killed me. Not that the lack of food wasn't killing me as it is.
Night was staring to fall, I looked around my surrounds just to figure out what was around me, making sure that nobody was around, nobody would see me and send me home. I left to make my Grandparents lives easier, not harder. I saw a small farm in the distance, but it was far enough that they wouldn't notice me. The farm had a bright red barn that was hardly seen through the smog. I looked to my left and saw an ally, it would provide me some sort of protection. I walked into the ally, it wasn't dark, but very very bright as it was lit up with street lights. I noticed that there was a canopy that covered a diner's entrance. If it rained I would walk over there to sleep.
As this thought crossed my mind it started to rain. As if the smog didn't give away the chance of rain. I walked over to the canopy and settled under it, and tried to find a comfortable position to sleep in. Tonight would not be very fun, but I would survive. I was going to find food tomorrow in the daylight, even if it killed me. I shortly found myself slipping into darkness, enjoying the pain free environment as dream land took over me.
The sun woke me up, it must have been around 7am, the sun was just starting to rise. Today I would continue my adventure to find food. I walked and walked around with my sprits high, hoping to keep myself alive. Which was only met by nightfall for the second night.
As I found a decent spot to sleep I started to close my eyes, only to hear a noise.
"Hello?" I called out into the darkness of night.
"Yes?" A voice returned. It sounded female.
"W-Who a-are y-you?" I managed out.
A female approached me, she had bright red eyes. I cowered away. "I am Siobhan," she told me.
A male appeared out of nowhere and stood beside her, his eyes as black as the night. "Just do it," he told her.
"D-do what?" I asked.
The female Siobhan responded. "No, Liam she's hurt, I will not," she told the one who was Liam.
"Siobhan, she is human," Liam said.
"I know, but she'd be a lovely addition, think about it," she told Liam.
"No," Liam retorted quickly.
Siobhan leant towards me. "Do not fear, dear Maggie," she said softly.
"How do you k-know my n-name?" I asked.
"I know everything," Siobhan responded. She looked at my neck with wild eyes, as she smiled. "Everything will be fine," she promised as she bite my neck. Shortly darkness surrounded me, but it wasn't peaceful it hurt. The darkness hurt. No. Not again.
