A/N:
Apologies in advance...( Though I should probably warn you this is the beginning of what all I am capable of doing to characters)
And I just realized I sound like a serial killer...Great! -_-
"Well this is quite interesting to know Johnson," Hook spat out as he strode into the clearing, " Your sob story."
Felix and Crystal narrowed their eyes as they stared at the pirate, ready to attack.
"You said you were a dumb slave? Well- seeing how Pan treats you, I'd say that you must feel just at home here."
Crys hissed and stepped forward. Felix grabbed her and pulled her back as he saw 6 of Hook's shipmates step out of the shadows, pointing arrows towards her as dreamshade dripped from the arrows' tips.
Hook smiled and said, "With Pan gone and all the lost boys AWOL, you didn't think that I could resist and opportunity to do away with you, Johnson?"
Felix gulped nervously. He knew that even with Crystal's magic, they were clearly outnumbered. He looked at Crystal and her expression told him she was thinking the same thing.
"Now,"Crystal whispered.
She held Felix's hand and started running, narrowly dodging an arrow as it hit a tree to her left. They ran through the forest- the trees reduced chances of getting hit.
"Where to?"
Crys shouted back, "I have no freaking idea. Just run!"
They could see the makeshift camp they had abandoned long ago in front of them. They stepped into the clearing.
Mistake.
Two of Hook's men stepped in front of backed a couple of steps, knowing they were surrounded.
Felix raised his club and hit one of the men as he fell to the ground, his skull cracked. Crystal put her hand to the forehead of the other man, who sank to his knees, and gasped as though he was being chocked.
2 down, 5 to go.
Felix and Crys now turned around to look at the rest of the men. Hook knew who he wanted to take on. He took out a sword from his scabbard and ran towards Crystal. The second she turned to face him, one of the others shot an arrow at her.
The arrow stopped an inch from her heart as she calmly caught it before crushing it.
"I have been with Pan for over a century. He did teach me some of his tricks."
Two of the men took out daggers as Felix fought them, while Hook turned to Crystal.
"Let us settle this Johnson."
Both of them raised their weapons, before bringing them down at once. Crys backed a couple of steps. She did have the agility but Hook had blunt force, which put her at a slight disadvantage against him. She had barely started fighting him properly before two more people attacked her from behind.
She cursed loudly as one of the dagger cut her arm slightly, but continued fighting. Felix turned around, alarmed, and Hook got the perfect opportunity.
The hook on the Pirate's hand hit Felix's face, cutting through brutally. He groaned and sank to his knees, but thanked god that it did not run through his eye or mouth.
Crystal saw the blood run down the blonde's pale face, and she panicked.
"FELIX NO!"
She pushed the two men down to the ground, stunning them, before running forward.
Just what Hook wanted, as he swung his sword back.
"CRYS..."
The shout dies in Felix's throat as he saw the girl freeze, eyes wide. Her features stayed like that for a moment before contorting in pain as a shout of pain left her lips. She took a couple of drunk steps before collapsing to the ground, clutching her stomach in pain.
Hook smirked, his sword glistening with her blood. He turned to Felix with a look of a maniac before saying victoriously-
"My Hook may not have been laced with Dreamshade, but that sword sure as hell was. Tell Pan this is what happens when he messes with me."
The stunned pirates woke up, and stood up, smiling as they saw the brunette on the ground in a pool of blood.
Killian Jones faked a salute before walking off with his man, finally satisfied.
Felix stood up and wiped the blood off his face, stumbling ahead until he reached Crystal. She blinked repeatedly as the boy's face started getting out of focus slowly.
"Crystal? Hey- Crystal? CRYSTAL! Stay with me!"
The edge of panic in the boy's usually emotionless tone made her open her eyes a bit as she saw his face, smeared with blood. With all the strength that she could muster, she raised her hand up to touch his cheek. Felix felt the warmth spread across his face as the wound healed, before he realized that the magic was weakening her.
"Stop! You're already weak. Let me see the wound."
"No..."
"Its OK...This will just hurt a bit."
The sword had cut through her dress, which showed a gaping wound across her abdomen. Under normal circumstances, it would have been fatal.
"How long do I have?"
She spoke with difficulty,"3 minutes before the effect of the water wears of and I..."
She trailed off. Felix bowed down even lower before picking her up at once, tentatively yet urgently. She gasped at the new flexibility, and bit down on her lip hard.
Felix remembered running fast before, but he was convinced he had broken a couple of Olympic records that day. Everything was a blur- he reached camp, grabbing the flask of spring waters as he kept Crystal on her hammock with about a minute to spare.
The water trickled down her cheek as she drank it with difficulty before a hiss of pain left her lips. She was ice-cold by then, and Felix wondered if he was too late.
The possibility of that happening made his heart sink to the pit of his stomach.
"It's all my fault," he repeated over and over again, as he held her hand, "I am so sorry."
"No you idiot," Crys whispered so softly it was almost inaudible, "I did it because I love you."
With that, she shut her eyes and let the darkness take over. Felix froze, as the meaning of her words dawned upon him.
It was different.. It was different for you,Felix. It always was.
And at that moment, Felix understood that it was the same.
It was different for him too.
