"I'm sorry, did we interrupt something?" Suki asked, blinking in confusion. Kyo was near frothing with rage but he turned away and slowly it disappeared. Tohru blinked at her husband and then smiled and went over to give Suki a big hug.
"Oh I'm so happy! You and my little boy are going out! I always hoped this would happen!"
Now Suki, Yuki, Kaname, and Kyo all said the same exact thing at the same exact time. "What?!"
She blushed and looked down, "Ever since you were little, Kaname, you were close to Suki. I just thought you'd make a cute couple and eventually you did." He blushed but when Suki snuggled up to him, he smiled warmly and wrapped his arms around her.
"Thanks mom." he chuckled, receiving a nuzzle and a kiss on his cheek from his new beloved. "Hey you, what do you think you're doing?" Suki fluttered her eyes and he felt his heart melt in her purple irises.
"Nothing!" she giggled then went over to her father. "We should go home before mom worries." Yuki nodded and said his goodbyes, as did his daughter, and the two, Kaname and Suki, kissed each other goodbye, giving Kyoko a face that went with what she said, "Ew!"
Kyo couldn't help but chuckle as his daughter then both fathers glared at each other before Yuki left with Suki. Tohru sighed a bit but, 'at least they're getting along better… and will for a long time.' she thought, somehow not cheering her up. "Mom, you okay?" a voice brought her back to reality. She turned to face her son and smiled.
"Perfectly fine!" she laughed. He smiled and gave her a bear hug then went to his room. She smiled, although a little sadly, "My little boy is all grown up." Kyo went up behind his wide and wrapped his arms around her waist. Giving her a little peck on the cheek, he let go and ruffled her hair a bit.
He smiled sadly, "I'm sad to see him grow up this fast too, but, it was bound to happen anyway. So don't cry." Tohru, who had started to tear up, tried her best to stop her tears. She sniffled and snuggled close to him, burying her face in his chest. He chuckled a bit and rubbed her back. "He won't be away forever. He'll come back from time to time, to check on us and have us see his own family. He'll always be out little boy, I promise." That only seemed to make her cry harder. He gasped and gently kissed her forehead. "I'm sorry!"
She shook her head and rubbed her eyes. "I'll be fine. I promise. I know all you said is right but it still makes me a bit sad." He kissed her. It was a soft kiss, as he was trying to reassure her. They pulled away and she giggled sadly, "Thanks Kyo…"
"Think of it this way, we still have Kyoko to baby." he laughed. She suddenly burst out laughing in agreement.
"Yeah, that is true!" she held her stomach, "Or we could have another baby too!"
That made them both blush deeply. "I-I was just joking! I didn't mean what I said!" she squeaked.
He held her close, "If that's what you want to do, that's what we'll do."
She stopped freaking out and smiled a bit. "Right. I guess… we could."
He blushed, "Just… not too soon, okay?"
She nodded and smiled, "Alright."
He smiled and kissed her cheek. "Not to ruin the moment, but, we still have lunch cooking." She panicked and ran over to get lunch. Thankfully it was okay and sigh sighed in relief. He laughed, "It wasn't burning so its fine!" She blushed and he smiled, gently stroking her cheek with his finger. "Tohru, you air head, I love you." That made her smile and she kissed him.
"I love you too, my dearest Kyo." she sighed happily once she had pulled away. He held her close and rocked her.
Meanwhile in Kaname's room, he was talking to Suki on his cell and blushed slightly, laughing a bit. "No Suki! I will not sneak out! My dad would murder me! So would your dad…" he flinched at the last bit. Yuki was normally a nice guy, but when it came to his daughter and wife he was fiercely protective of them. It wouldn't surprise him if her father wanted to beat him to a bloody pulp if anything happened to his precious daughter. That made him frightened.
She giggled, "Daddy won't hurt you, I promise! Not as long as I'm around."
"And you're positive of that? Last time he saw me he almost snapped me in two." he shuddered, Yuki's angry expression still implanted in his mind. He thought that man was a nice, easy going guy. Apparently he was wrong.
"Positive. He's a big teddy bear with me!" she giggled, "Oh, I gotta go. I need to help cook since my dad technically can't. Bye! Love you!" she then hung up.
He sighed and ended his end. "Love you too…" He dropped down in his desk chair and surfed the internet. He couldn't find anything interesting there so he walked downstairs and went to his dad's training room, where he started punching on the large punching bag his father owned. Kyo made his way over and steadied the bag for his son.
"Something wrong?"
"Not really." the younger replied.
"Sure about that?"
"…." he sighed, "No… It's just… I want Yuki to respect me and see me as a perfect fit with his daughter. I know how to treat her right and I do that! Why doesn't he see… that I'm a man, not a child. A man who loves and cares for the one who holds his heart?"
"You're a romantic like your mom!" Kyo couldn't help but laugh.
"Kyo that's not nice!" Tohru scolded as she walked in. Kaname stopped punching and blinked. "Why don't you ask if you can go over there for dinner? So you two can get to know each other better? That way you'll earn his respect!" she smiled, "Is that a good idea?"
He nodded, "Actually yes. I'll go ask Suki!" and ran off to his room.
"Please say we're not going." Kyo groaned.
"No, just him." she smiled warmly, "He needs this."
"Oh?" Suki blinked on the other side of the phone while she chatted with her boyfriend again. "I think I can convince mom and dad to let you come over."
He sighed in relief. "Alright. See you then."
"Love you, Kaname."
"Love you too, Suki."
"Goodnight."
"Night."
