A/N: Hey people! Sunday means a new chapter and while I'm writing this, before I've written the rest of the chapter, I can tell you that I really don't know what to write. I just have a song so this will be pretty random:) The song is Maybe Someday by Griffin Peterson and Colleen Hoover. This song comes from her book, Maybe Someday (you have to read it and listen to it's soundtrack). I finished the book (and the novella Maybe Not) yesterday and I just had to write a chapter with one of the songs from the book. ENJOY!:)
Song: Maybe Someday by Griffin Peterson
Seeing something from so far away
Get a little closer every day
Thinking that I want to make it mine
I'd run for you if I could stand
But what I want I can't demand
Cuz what I want is you
And if I can't be yours now
I'll wait here on this ground
Til you come, til you take me away
Maybe someday
Maybe someday
I try to ignore what you say
You turn to me, I turn away.
But Cupid must have shot me twice
I smell your perfume on my bed
Thoughts of you invade my head
Truths are written, never said
And if I can't be yours now
I'll wait here on this ground
Til you come, til you take me away
Maybe someday
Maybe someday
You say it's wrong, but it feels right
You cut me loose, then hold on tight
Words unfinished, like our song
Nothing good can come this way
Lines are drawn, but then they fade
For her I bend, for you I break
And if I can't be yours now
I'll wait here on this ground
Til you come, til you take me away
Maybe someday
Maybe someday
Tobias couldn't stop thinking about her. Her long blonde hair. Her big blue eyes. Her beautiful smile. He wondered when a crush developed into real love. Scientists said it took about four months. He didn't believe that, because he had a feeling it had turned into love after the first sight. At least from his side.
The only problem was that the girl he felt this toward was his best friend's girlfriend. Zeke and Tris had been together for about two months and they both seemed so happy. When Zeke first told Tobias about this he was furious, because he knew that Zeke knew his feelings. Zeke knew that Tobias had been adoring Tris for years and that he was thinking about asking her out. Then it turns out that Zeke already did and before he knew it they were dating. But when he saw Tris it hit him that he only wanted what was best for her, and if being with Zeke made her happy he wouldn't stand in their way.
He tried to make these feelings go away by meeting other girls. He had went on several dates, but none of them became something bigger. He just couldn't get Tris out of his mind.
"Hey! Watch out!" Zeke yelled. Right now they were playing some kind of video game together and they both seemed to suck at this game. When game over appeared on the screen again they decided to eat some more of the pizza.
"Did I mention that Tris' going to be here soon?" Zeke asked with his mouth full of pizza and Tobias felt his heart drop. He tried not to talk about Tris to much with Zeke because he always ended up feeling like shit when they did.
"Well, I'll better go then" He stood up, wanting to leave as soon as possible. He didn't even get the chance to take a step before Zeke stopped him.
"What's the problem, man?" He asked, standing up as well. "It seems like you've been of for a while now. What's the problem?" What's the problem? He felt his anger rise when Zeke asked him that question. His friend truly was blind.
"What's the problem?" He looked Zeke deep in the eyes and then he exploded. "The problem is you, Zeke! Why would you do that, huh? You knew how I felt about her!"
"About who?" Zeke looked dumbfounded.
"About Tris!" Tobias pulled at his hair, not believing his friend right now. "You know that I've been in love with her for years! And then you ask her out! I thought I could trust you, Zeke! But I'm so mad right now and I've tried to keep my feelings down for the both of you, but it's just so damn hard!"
He realized that Zeke wasn't looking at him, but at something behind him. When he turned around he saw the beauty that he was so deeply in love with. she was staring at him with wide eyes and he couldn't look at either of them so he left without saying anything to either of them. He just pushed past Tris, looking down, and leaving the house without once looking back.
The night after what happened at Zeke's Tobias was sitting on his couch watching a really bad movie. It was Saturday and he was home alone, not knowing where his father was and he didn't care, either. He hadn't left the house because he was to afraid to meet Tris or Zeke. He didn't know how he would be able to face them at school on monday so he tried not to think about it to much. Something that he failed on.
Suddenly it was a knock on the door and when he opened it he saw someone that he hadn't expected. Tris was standing there and smiled up at him. Tobias could feel his heart beat faster and he didn't know what to say.
"Can I come in?" she asked and he just nodded and opened the door a bit more so that she could step inside. He had no idea why she was here and to be honest he was a little afraid to get his question answered. He led her to the living room and sat down on the couch, and she sat down next to him.
First it was only silence, as he waited for her to speak. His palms were sweating and he got more and more nervous every second that passed.
"The first time Zeke approached me I thought it was for you. I hoped it was for you" she said and he looked up at her. She was already looking at him and as she continued their eye contact never broke. "I was excited about it because I'd been thinking a lot about you for some months now and I noticed you looking at me from time to time. So when Zeke walked up to me I thought he was going to introduce you, but he didn't. I was a little sad, because I thought that you didn't feel anything for me. So I agreed to go on a date with and then we started dating" Her eyes started to water and he wondered where she was going with this. "We broke up yesterday, because Zeke doesn't own my heart. Both of us knew that and we also know that my heart belongs to you" His heart started to beat so hard he thought it was going to jump out of his chest. "And when I heard you yesterday I knew that I had made the wrong decision when I went out with Zeke. Please forgive me, Tobias"
When she finished he couldn't believe what he had just heard and then he wrapped his arms around her waist. She tightened her arms around his back and he could feel her warm tears fall on his shoulder.
"Of course I'll forgive you" He stroked his hair with his hand, something that he always wanted to do. She pulled back at looked at him and all he wanted to do was to kiss her, but he managed to hold back.
"I really hope that I'll we'll become something, but I can't right now. Even though I've had feelings for youI want to take it easy. I just came out of a relationship and I want ours to be slow-paced and take it's own time...He understood her, even though he just wanted to kiss her and be with her.
"I'll be waiting for you" They shared a smile and then they finished watching the movie he had started earlier. Later that night, before Tris left, he gave her a snucked a kiss on her cheek. He couldn't take the smile of his face.
A/N: This is a shitty xD
The thing about Zeke approaching Tris for himself, instead of Tobias, comes from the book:)
I'll let you figure out what happens after this because I'm to tired to even think right now...
Btw, thank you for all of the reviews from the last chapter! They really make my day:)
Peaceserum, Pansycakes!
