Chloe was in her office at work, talking to stylists, other magazines, journalists and her assistants. She was rather busy and she liked it. She had been avoiding Beca ever since they had dinner at her house. Raelynn would be home tomorrow, then Chloe would probably forget those weird thoughts and feelings she was having for Beca.
There was a knock on the door and one of her assistants, a brunette called Julianne, came in.
"Excuse me, Chloe." she said.
"Yes, Julianne?" Chloe asked.
"You have a photoshoot today at four." Julianne said.
Chloe thought about it and nodded.
"Yeah, I completely forgot about that." Chloe chuckled. "Are you coming with me?"
"I can't, Gale is coming with you." Julianne said.
"Oh, okay. Tell her to be ready at three, there's a stop I want to make before the photoshoot." Chloe said.
"Okay." Julianne said and left.
Chloe's phone beeped and she frowned, looking at it. She had a new message from Raelynn, saying she'd catch an earlier flight so she should be there tonight. Chloe was really happy, she couldn't wait for Raelynn to come back home.
After work, Chloe came back home and found her best friend in the living room watching the news. Chloe was kinda relieved, she wanted to talk to her.
"Hey Bree." she said. "Rae's coming home tonight."
"Oh that's good!" Aubrey said. "How are you feeling about that?"
"Oh, I'm excited." Chloe said, sitting down next to Aubrey. "I just want to see about those thoughts I was having about Beca."
"Do you think they'll go away once Raelynn's here?" Aubrey asked.
"I hope." Chloe said. "I just… I feel so terrible, I haven't stopped thinking about her."
Aubrey offered her a sympathetic look.
"I'm a horrible person, I feel like I'm cheating on Raelynn. I mean, I almost kissed another girl!" Chloe said.
"Chloe, you didn't cheat on Raelynn. You still think about her and that's what counts." Aubrey said. "If you wanna give Beca another chance, you should talk to Raelynn and break up with her, but you gotta make your decision."
Chloe nodded and sighed.
"I think I'm gonna wait a little. Beca doesn't even know if she's attracted to girls." Chloe said.
Aubrey nodded.
"Okay, I'm gonna get something to drink and start dinner." Chloe said. "I don't know what time Rae's supposed to come anyway."
Chloe was thankful for the silence. Aubrey was in the living room while she cooked. She was alone with her thoughts.
She was almost done with dinner when she felt someone wrap their arms around her waist. She felt herself smile and turned around, seeing her blonde girlfriend standing there with a huge smile in return.
"Hey babe!" she said, giving Chloe a kiss. "I missed you so much! Next time I'll make arrangements for you to come with me."
"I missed you, too, babe." Chloe said with a smile.
"What's wrong?" Raelynn asked, frowning.
Chloe looked confused.
"Why?"
"You have this look in your face." Raelynn said. "Is everything okay?"
"Yeah." Chloe said.
"Are you sure?" Raelynn asked.
"Yes." Chloe said.
"Okay." Raelynn said and stepped back, sitting down so she could let Chloe cook. "How's Beca?"
"I don't know, why do you ask?" Chloe asked.
"Last time you talked about her, you said she was pretty upset about her father." Raelynn said.
"I don't know, I haven't talked to her since." Chloe shrugged.
"Chloe, I… I think I wanna stop working with Beca." Raelynn said, which took Chloe by surprise.
"What? Why?" Chloe asked.
"I can see you're upset that I'm working with your ex." Raelynn said.
"I don't care. You can still work with her, Rae." Chloe said. "I'm being honest, this doesn't bother me anymore."
"Are you sure?" Raelynn asked.
"100% sure." Chloe said and smiled.
"I promise it won't be long, babe." Raelynn said.
"Take as long as you need." Chloe said.
Raelynn smiled.
"You are the most perfect girlfriend someone could ask for." Raelynn said, giving Chloe a kiss.
Chloe smiled, but the guilt was eating her up inside, she just hoped Raelynn wouldn't notice it.

Raelynn was busy working with Beca, editing the pictures they took in London while Chloe was in another photoshoot. It had been a week since Raelynn came back and Chloe and Beca had seen each other twice already, but Chloe hadn't told Raelynn about it. She didn't want the blonde to think anything of it, even though they weren't doing anything wrong.
One day, Raelynn had to go to a photoshoot and she'd be back at night, so Beca texted Chloe and the two agreed to meet at Chloe's house. Now, the two were sitting on the redhead's living room, watching TV. The redhead was feeling a little nervous, she felt so drawn to Beca, but she had to fight her instincts.
"Hey, how do you feel about watching a movie?" Chloe asked.
"Well, I'm not that big a fan of movies. I mean, I can't help but think real life is much more interesting." Beca said.
Chloe looked surprised at her.
"That's exactly what the old Beca used to say." Chloe said and Beca smiled.
"At least one thing is the same." Beca said. "Oh, my mom is gonna send me my old computer back."
"It took you three years to get your computer?" Chloe asked, confused.
"Well, I never needed it because I have one already, but then my mom mentioned it to me before I went to London so I asked her if she could send it to me, but it had a password and I obviously don't remember it, so she asked for some guy to see if he could remove it." Beca explained.
Chloe nodded.
"When's it gonna get here?" Chloe asked.
"Probably by tomorrow." Beca said.
Chloe nodded again.
"Interesting." Chloe said. "You're gonna be able to see your mixes again."
"Yeah." Beca said. "I don't have any idea what they sound like."
"They were amazing." Chloe said. "I loved them, at least."
Beca smiled.
"Listen Chloe, thanks for giving me another chance and for letting me into your life again." she said. "That means a lot to me."
"It means a lot to me, too, Beca." Chloe said.
Beca smiled and Chloe smiled back. She felt safe and good around Beca, it was like old times.
"Chloe, I…" Beca sighed and stopped, looking down.
"You what?" Chloe asked, wanting her to continue.
"Well, I've been thinking…" Beca said, hesitantly.
"Yeah?" Chloe asked.
"I think I'm still attracted to women." Beca said and her cheeks turned into a bright red.
"Really?" Chloe asked. "You have no reason to be ashamed, Beca."
"I know, but… I don't know, I…" Beca said.
"You know you can tell me anything." Chloe said, putting her hand on top of Beca's hand.
Beca looked at Chloe's eyes for a moment and sighed. She thought about telling him, but how would the redhead take it.
"Beca, are you interested in someone?" Chloe asked.
Beca bit her lip.
"Yeah." she finally sighed.
Chloe nodded with a small smile.
"You don't have to tell me who it is, Beca." Chloe said. "It's okay."
"To tell you the truth, Chloe, I… I'm kinda scared…" Beca said, looking confused.
"Scared? Why?" Chloe asked, confused.
"Just… I want to ask this girl out, but…" Beca said. "I can't, I know she'll never like me."
"Why not? You're a great person!" Chloe said.
"I don't know, would you date a girl who doesn't remember anything about her life?" Beca asked.
"I know practically everything about you, Beca." Chloe said.
Beca nodded, looking down.
"Besides, this girl would be stupid not to go out with you." Chloe said.
"Chloe, do you know who my first kiss was?" Beca asked, suddenly lighting up.
"Your first kiss? A guy from your school." Chloe said. "You were twelve."
Beca nodded.
"The first time I kissed a girl?" Beca asked. "If you're fine with answering, that is."
"I'm fine, this is your life we're discussing." Chloe said. "When you were sixteen."
Beca nodded again.
"Did you know… was I a virgin?" Beca asked, feeling even more embarrassed.
"Well… you lost your virginity to your last girlfriend." Chloe said.
"My last girlfriend?" Beca asked.
"Yeah, the one from college." Chloe said.
"Do you know if I was a good kisser?" Beca asked and Chloe couldn't tell if she was curious or if she was teasing, it felt like a mix of both.
"I don't know." Chloe said.
Beca nodded, but she looked down and chuckled as she shook her head.
"What is it?" Chloe asked.
"Nothing, I just… I keep wondering." Beca said. "About a kiss, about… sex. I don't know how any of those feel like."
"It's like you're a virgin all over again." Chloe said and Beca nodded.
"I wanna kiss someone, just to see what that feels like." Beca said.
Chloe smiled.
"You'll get to kiss someone, don't worry." Chloe said.
Beca smiled.
"Hopefully, yeah." Beca said and sighed, looking at her watch. "I have to go. Make sure you watch my interview, tonight at 7."
"I will." Chloe said and they both stood up.
Beca grabbed her purse and Chloe walked her to the door. Before the brunette could leave, though, she turned to Chloe.
"Oh, that reminds me." Beca said. "I have this event tomorrow, I'm supposed to go to this charity event for kids with cancer tomorrow, I'm gonna use it for our project, but the problem is, Raelynn says she's gonna be busy tomorrow and she can't come with me, so I was wondering, would you like to?"
Chloe was surprised by the invitation. She was actually more surprised because she didn't know Raelynn would busy the next day.
"That would actually be great, Beca." Chloe found herself saying.
Beca smiled.
"Great, so I'll pick you at around three, is that alright?" Beca asked.
"Sure. I'll be ready by then." Chloe said.
Beca smiled and she was gone. Chloe watched her get in her car and drive off with a sigh. Only then did she close the door.
oO0Oo
Chloe was fidgeting with her nails when Raelynn came to their room and sat next to her on the bed with a sigh.
"I had an amazing day!" Raelynn said with a smile. She went under the covers, but noticed her girlfriend looked nervous. "Chlo?"
"I was… you're busy tomorrow?" Chloe asked.
Raelynn frowned.
"Yeah, I am. I have to go to San Diego for an interview, but I'll be back by dinnertime. Why do you ask?" Raelynn asked.
"No reason." Chloe said with a shrug. "Just Beca told me you were busy and I thought it was weird."
"Oh right, I forgot to tell you. Are you mad at me?" Raelynn asked.
Chloe chuckled.
"No, I'm not mad at you, Rae. I promise." Chloe offered her a smile and gave her a kiss. "I just wanted to know."
Raelynn smiled and hugged her girlfriend, closing her eyes. Chloe turned off her lamp and closed her eyes, too, with a sigh.
oO0Oo
Chloe had just finished combing her hair and now she was doing her makeup. She was a famous editor, she had to look good if she was going out in public. She decided to put on a pair of capri pants instead of a dress and a top with a decent cleave. She finished her makeup and checked if she had everything she needed on her purse when the doorbell rang. She checked her watch and saw it 2:45, but she grabbed her purse and and went downstairs anyway.
She opened the door and her heart stopped. Beca was wearing blue skinny jeans, wedges, a white tan top and her purple flannel shirt, which was unbuttoned on the front, showing her top. She had light makeup on and her hair was in a braid. She looked amazing. Kinda like the old Beca when she and Chloe would go out on dates.
"Hey, you look great!" Beca said, looking Chloe up and down. "I had actually something to ask you."
Chloe felt herself tearing up. She saw Beca's lips were moving but she couldn't hear her.
"..so they said I could bring- wha- why are you looking at me like that?" Beca said with a nervous chuckle. "Chloe? Are you alright?"
Chloe snapped out of her trance and managed to hold her tears in.
"I'm sorry, what did you say?" Chloe asked.
Beca giggled and Chloe found herself smiling. God, she missed her giggle.
"I was just explaining about the event and how they allowed me to take pictures of the kids." Beca said.
"And what did you want to ask me?" Chloe asked.
"I was gonna ask what time do you have to be back because I don't know how long it's gonna take." Beca said.
"Well, I don't have time to be back." Chloe smiled and Beca smiled back.
"Great." Beca said. "Let's get going, then."
Chloe stepped out, locking the door and following Beca to her car.
"I went through my old mixes and you were right, they are amazing!" Beca said. "I brought my old laptop with me to play my old mixes for the kids."
"That's excellent." Chloe said.
"I actually burned a CD so I could listen to some of them in the car." Beca said as she opened the door for Chloe, who got in with a smile. Beca had always been a gentleman.
"You did?" Chloe asked with a smile.
Beca smiled as she got in and nodded, turning on the radio and putting it on the CD.
"I'm gonna do an interview and a documentary about my life. How I lost my memory and stuff." Beca said. "I'm gonna do a photoshoot and send a magazine old photoshoots of myself."
"It sounds interesting." Chloe said.
"Yeah." Beca sighed as she drove off.
Chloe looked at the flannel shirt and bit her lip. She had to ask, she just couldn't hold it in.
"Where did you find that shirt?" Chloe asked.
"Oh. My mom sent a bunch of those along with my laptop. I just liked this one a lot." Beca said.
"It was my favorite flannel shirt of yours." Chloe said.
"Really?" Beca asked with a smile.
Chloe nodded and they fell into a comfortable silence.
Beca parked the car in front of a big house, where they could hear laughing.
"It's kind of like a backyard party mixes with a carnival." Beca explained as she unbuckled her seatbelt.
"I can see." Chloe said, also unbuckling her seatbelt. She was going to open the door, but Beca beat her to it with a smile. "Thanks."
"You can go in, I'm gonna grab my bag with my camera and laptop." Beca said, opening the backseat door and taking her bag.
Chloe waited for her on the sidewalk, though. When Beca was ready, she and Chloe walked up the steps to the house and walked in. The house was decorated with balloons, there were candies, cupcakes, hot dogs and all kinds of snacks everywhere. There were a few people in the living room, discussing what seemed to be an important issue. One of them, a brunette woman, turned to see who had arrived and smiled, going towards the girls.
"Hello, Beca, I'm so glad you could come." she said, shaking Beca's hand and turning to Chloe.
"I'm so happy to be here. Frankie, this is my friend, Chloe." Beca said. "Chloe, this is Frankie, she was the one who organized this beautiful event."
"Wow, congratulations, everything looks so wonderful!" Chloe said.
"Thank you, Chloe." Frankie said.
"Frankie, where can I put my laptop?" Beca asked.
"Oh, let me show you." Frankie said. "The kids are in the backyard."
Beca and Chloe followed Frankie to the back and she showed Beca a table with a sound system where she could plug her laptop and the short brunette soon went to work with her mixes.
Soon, one of the brunette's old mixes started to play and Beca stepped back with a smile and turned to Chloe.
"So, let's go entertain the little ones?" Beca asked.
Chloe smiled.
"Sure."
There were about ten to fifteen kids there. Some of them were bald, while others had hair. Frankie explained that a few of them were cancer survivors.
"Hi kids!" Beca said and Chloe was surprised by that.
The kids turned their attention to Beca immediately.
"My name is Beca, this is my friend Chloe." Beca said.
"Hi Beca! Hi Chloe!" the kids said.
Chloe smiled and felt something tugging at her pants and she looked down, surprised to see a little girl, about 4 or 5 years old, with red hair just like hers, but her eyes were dark blue, like Beca's.
"Hi!" she said with a smile. "Are you Chloe?"
"Yeah, I am. What is your name?" Chloe asked.
"My name is Chloe too!" the little girl said with a smile.
Chloe knelt down to her level with a huge smile.
"That is so cool, Chloe!" Chloe said.
"I am cancer free. The doctor said I beat cancer." Little Chloe said.
Chloe couldn't help herself, she hugged the little girl very tight and the little girl returned the hug.
"That is amazing, Chloe!" Chloe said. "I am so proud of you."
Little Chloe smiled.
"What do you do?" Little Chloe asked.
"I'm an editor of a fashion magazine called Marvelle." Chloe said. "I decide what photos to pick, what articles are going, stuff like that."
"That sounds cool!" Little Chloe said. "And what does your friend do?"
Little Chloe pointed Beca, who was in her bag, grabbing her camera and setting it.
"My friend is a photographer!" Chloe said in a whisper.
"Really?! Can she take a picture of us?" Little Chloe asked and Chloe noticed there was a crowd of kids around her.
"I believe she can, wanna go over and ask her?" Chloe asked.
Little Chloe nodded and ran off to Beca.
A little bald boy approached Chloe, looking shier than Chloe.
"Do you wanna play with me?" he asked, fidgeting with his shirt.
"Sure, sweetie, what's your name?" Chloe asked.
"Henry." he said.
"Henry. What a pretty name! So, Henry, what do you wanna play?" Chloe asked.
"Can we play with you?" Two little bald girls asked.
"Sure! How about this, Henry here will be the prince and you two will be the princesses." Chloe suggested.
"We can't be princesses." one of the little girls said with a sad look on her face.
"Why's that?" Chloe asked.
"Because princesses have hair, we don't have hair." the same little girl said.
Chloe grabbed her hands and looked deep into her bright blue eyes.
"Not all princesses have hair, sweetie. Princesses come in all shapes and sizes. Having hair or not is not what makes you a princess. What makes you a princess is how beautiful you are inside." Chloe smiled and touched the tip of the little girl's nose, which made her giggle. "And you, sweetie, are absolutely beautiful inside. And out. So I say, you are very much a princess."
The little girl smiled big.
Chloe smiled back and frowned, looking behind her to find Beca snapping pictures of her with the kids. Some kids were in front of her making funny faces so she could take pictures.
"Hey, who here likes to sing?" Chloe asked, standing up.
Practically all of the kids raised their hands excitedly.
"How about if-"
"-if I sang a song to you guys?" Beca interrupted.
The kids started jumping up and down with excitement.
"As long as Chloe sings one too!" Henry said.
Beca laughed.
"Okay, I can do that." Chloe said.
"Which song do you want me to sing?" Beca asked.
oO0Oo
Chloe was laughing as Beca was imitating a giant and the kids were climbing on top of her. She had taught Chloe how to take pictures with her camera, in a simple way, and the redhead was doing just that, capturing the moments.
Little Chloe was on her lap, laughing along with her. She took a selfie with her and a bunch of other kids. She was having the time of her life.
Chloe looked at her watch and saw it was almost 7 o'clock. She sighed, knowing she and Beca had to go home.
"Beca?" she called.
"You don't have to go home, do you, Chloe?" Little Chloe asked with a pout.
"I do, sweetie." Chloe said with a sigh.
"Aww, don't go, Chloe!" Little Chloe said.
"You know I have to go, sweetie." Chloe said.
Little Chloe pouted and hugged Chloe.
"You know what, if you wanna see me again, just ask Frankie to call me." Chloe said. "And we can do anything you want."
Little Chloe smiled big.
"I will." Little Chloe said.
"Okay." Chloe smiled. "Wanna go over and call Beca for me?"
Little Chloe jumped off of Chloe's lap and ran over to Beca. She tapped her on the waist and the brunette looked down at her. Chloe saw Little Chloe point at her and Beca nodded, going over to Chloe.
"What's up?" Beca asked.
"It's almost seven, we should get going." Chloe said.
"Oh! I totally lost track of time!" Beca said. "Yeah, okay, I'll get my computer and my camera, then we'll say bye to the kids."
Chloe smiled and nodded.
"Take your time." Chloe said.
The two took a rather long time saying goodbye to the kids, but they soon went to Beca's car and drove off.
Chloe let out a long sigh and smiled.
"That was such a fun day." Chloe said.
"It was. The kids loved you." Beca said.
"I didn't know you were so good with kids." Chloe said.
Beca smiled.
"I just love kids." Beca said.
Chloe smiled and sighed, finally realizing how hungry she was.
"Gosh, I'm starving! I barely got to eat this afternoon." Chloe said.
"Oh yeah, me neither." Beca said.
"What do you say we grab a bite to eat?" Chloe asked.
Beca thought about it. She was actually surprised it was Chloe who asked, not herself.
"That would be wonderful!" Beca said.
Chloe smiled and Beca smiled back.
The two drove to a small restaurant that Chloe just loved. She thought Beca would love it, too. They got a small booth in the back and ordered two salads and two hamburgers.
"I haven't gone through my photos in my computer yet." Beca said. "Maybe I can find some old pictures there."
"Yeah, I think you will." Chloe said.
"You know, these hamburgers are awesome!" Beca said.
Chloe had ordered extra fries for them and, not so surprisingly, their salads were left untouched.
Chloe grabbed two fries and smiled at Beca.
"I knew you would like it." Chloe said. "I like coming here once in a while."
Beca nodded.
"It sounds cool." Beca said.
They finished eating and Chloe paid, against Beca's will, then they went back to Beca's car.
Beca drove back to Chloe's house and stopped with a sigh.
"You know, Beca, I had so much fun today." Chloe said as she turned to Beca. "Thank you so much, it has been a wonderful day."
"It really was." Beca said. "I loved it, too. Thanks for letting me into your life again."
Chloe smiled and leaned in for a hug. She closed her eyes as she felt old Beca's scent in her shirt.
"You smell just like you used to." Chloe whispered as they pulled apart just a little bit. "I missed you a lot, Beca."
Beca frowned as she looked at her.
"You did?" she asked.
"Yeah." Chloe said.
"But I'm not the same.." Beca argued.
Chloe put her hand on her cheek, caressing it with her thumb.
"I like the new Beca too." Chloe smiled.
Beca put her hand over Chloe's and smiled.
"Thanks." she said.
"I gotta go, now." Chloe said. "We should totally do it again."
"Yeah." Beca said. "I'll get in touch with you."
Chloe opened the door and got out.
"Okay. Bye Beca, thanks again, I had a lot of fun!" Chloe said.
Chloe waved and got into her house, closing the door after herself and sighing in content. She felt as if she was cloud 9, like she felt right after her first date with Beca.
"Chloe?"
Chloe snapped out of her trance and saw Raelynn standing there. She crossed her arms, not looking happy.
"Where have you been?" Raelynn asked.
"Oh.. I was.." Chloe stuttered, not knowing what to say.
"I tried calling you, like, nine or ten times, you never answered." Raelynn said and Chloe could tell she was disappointed. "I thought you were going to be home all day."
"Yeah, I.." Chloe stopped. She wasn't sure if Raelynn would like it if she told her the truth.
"I thought you had gone to the store, so I made dinner. But then I waited and waited. I was here from four to nine, waiting for you to come home." Raelynn said. "I sent you a bunch of messages, but you never answered."
Chloe bit her lip, looking down in shame.
"You never did this before, Chlo. You always called to let me know where you were, what time you'd be getting back." Raelynn said, stepping closer.
"I.. Beca invited me to go to a charity event since you were busy." Chloe said. "Then we went out to eat something."
Raelynn sighed, shaking her head.
"Chloe, you've been weird these last few weeks." Raelynn said. "Ever since Beca just showed up again. I know she hurt you a lot, but I know how you felt about her, so I need you to be completely honest with me now, Chloe."
Chloe bit her lip as she felt her eyes fill with tears, knowing what the blonde was gonna ask.
"Do you still have feelings for her?"
"Rae, I.."
"Don't lie to me, Chloe, just tell me. I need to know." Raelynn said.
"Okay.. Over the last few weeks, I've had.. feelings for her, like, I wish I would.. give us another chance." Chloe said and saw how Raelynn's eyes filled with tears. "But I thought about you, too, Rae, I mean, I love you!"
"I love you, too, Chloe." Raelynn said. "Which is why I'm gonna let you go. I just hope that, if you and Beca do get back together, you two are very happy."
"I'm so sorry, Rae, I never meant to hurt you." Chloe said, crying.
"No, Chloe, really, it's okay." Raelynn said and managed to smile through her tears. "Maybe you should call Aubrey and ask her to stay for a few days. I'm gonna go stay with my sister for a while, while I look for an apartment."
"Rae.."
"I'm fine, Chlo, really. Don't worry about me." Raelynn said. "Just go get the girl of your dreams."
Chloe felt her tears fall faster as she watched Raelynn leave.
oO0Oo
Chloe had just gotten home from work, wanting nothing more than to take a nice, hot bubble bath and disappear. She missed Raelynn and she broke up with her yesterday. She loved the blonde, but thinking about Beca made her happy, it made her want to give her another chance.
Chloe put her purse inside her room when she heard the doorbell ring. She frowned, thinking she didn't expect any visitors, but went downstairs to open anyway.
When she opened the door, she saw Beca standing there, wearing shorts and a tank top, but it was her face that shocked Chloe the most. Her eyes were red and puffy and her straight hair was a mess.
"Beca, what happened? Are you alright?" Chloe asked, letting her in.
"I found out why I tried to kill myself." Beca said, pointing her laptop, which she had under her arm.
Chloe's heart stopped. She looked at the laptop for a few minutes then looked back up at the brunette.
"I found pictures.. of us." Beca said.
Chloe bit her lip, wanting Beca to continue.
"At first I was confused, I didn't know why you had hidden this from me." Beca said, confused and angry. "But then I found this video.. I.. I think you should see it."
They went to the living room and Beca opened her laptop, putting it on her lap as she looked for the video. She clicked on it and it opened. It showed her in a room, looking like a mess, even worse than Beca looked like now, she had dark circles under her eyes.
"I.. I can't believe I did this." Beca buried her head into her hands and sobbed for a few minutes before looking up. "I'm a terrible person, Chloe will never forgive me."
Chloe's eyes filled with hot tears, she'd never seen this before.
"Chloe Beale is my girlfriend, we've been dating for 3 years and.. I love her so goddamn much, she means everything to me." Beca stared into the camera and her eyes showed she was telling the truth. "I got caught up in work and we drifted apart. I knew we were on the verge of breaking up and.. I hated this. Because it was all my fault."
Chloe was crying silently as she watched the video. She remembered those days as if they were yesterday.
"I.. I punched her in the face.. so many times.. I.. I hurt the woman who meant the world to me." Beca gripped her hair and pulled it as she spoke. "And if that wasn't fucking enough I.. I went out to a bar and.. and slept with some random woman! Someone I didn't even know, thinking it would make things better." Beca sobbed again as she looked at the camera. "But it didn't. I feel worse. I wish I could take it back but I can't."
Chloe continued watching as if Beca was saying it to her herself. She forgot that Beca was actually sitting beside her on the couch.
"I.. I have to talk to Chloe. I have to tell her. She'll never ever forgive me, but I have to try." Beca said. "If she doesn't forgive me, I'll.. I'll kill myself. Because life without Chloe means absolutely nothing to me. Chloe, if you're watching this someday, you have to know I love you with all my heart and I have no idea why I did that. But living without you means the same as not living. I fucking love you, Chloe. You're the only person who has my heart. I can't live without you, so if you don't forgive me, I'm gonna kill myself."
The video suddenly ended and Chloe didn't know what to do. She closed her eyes and completely forgot that Beca was there, so she almost jumped out of her skin when she spoke.
"I cheated on you?" she asked.
Chloe looked at her and her lip started trembling.
"I can't believe this! Why didn't I die? I should have died! I don't deserve to live!" Beca stood up.
Chloe stood up and held her arms, looking deep into her blue eyes.
"Beca, listen to me. You survived, this is way in the past." she said. "Sure, it was a horrible thing, but it's in the past."
"But I cheated on you!" Beca said. "How can you even stand to be around me? How can you let your girlfriend work with me?"
"Beca, Raelynn and I broke up." Chloe said. "And I gave you a second chance to be in my life again and I'm so fucking thankful that I did that, because, Beca, I had the chance to fall in love with you again."
Beca looked surprised to hear this. She looked into Chloe's blue eyes, her dark blue eyes were wide and filled with tears. She didn't know what to say, she felt as if this beautiful, amazing human being in front of her didn't deserve her for what she did.
"You don't deserve me, you deserve someone better than me!" Beca said.
"You know why I didn't tell you?" Chloe asked. Beca shook her head. "Because I knew you would say that same thing you are saying now. I almost lost you once, Beca, I don't want to lose you again."
Beca just cried harder as she felt Chloe hug her. She sobbed into her chest heavily, feeling the redhead run her fingers through her hair.
"I'm so sorry, Chloe." Beca mumbled. "I wouldn't dream of cheating, ever."
"I know." Chloe sighed.
"I don't wanna hurt you, I just want to make you happy." Beca said, wiping her tears.
Chloe smiled and pulled apart to look into Beca's eyes.
"And you know what made me happy?" Chloe asked. "Going to that charity event with you made me happy. Going out to dinner with you made me happy. And if you'd let me, I want to do the same to you. I want to make you happy, because I know how miserable you were."
Beca continued wiping her tears and she looked up at Chloe with a sigh.
"But I don't even remember who I am!" Beca argued.
"That doesn't matter, Beca." Chloe said.
"So you're saying you would give me a second chance?" Beca asked.
"Absolutely." Chloe offered her a small smile. "Would you give us a chance?"
Beca chuckled through her tears.
"I think even though I lost my memory, my heart knew it was you. Because the second I saw you, I knew I was falling in love with you. And I had this feeling, it was like I was safe. It was like I had known you all my life." Beca said.
Chloe smiled and wiped Beca's last tears with her thumbs, caressing her cheeks in the process. Beca smiled back and pulled her in for a hug, closing her eyes as she felt Chloe's rapid heartbeat against her chest.
"Chlo?" Beca asked.
Chloe smiled huge. It was what Beca used to call her.
"Yeah?" Chloe asked.
"Do you think I'll ever remember?" Beca asked.
Chloe sighed, thinking.
"I don't know, Beca." Chloe said. "But it doesn't matter to me."
"It really doesn't?" Beca asked.
"No." Chloe said.
They stayed in that position for a few moments, just enjoying each other's embrace. Beca then pulled apart and looked up at Chloe.
"Chlo? Can I.. I was.. Do.. Can I take you out tonight? Like, in a date?" Beca asked.
Chloe giggled and kissed her cheek, making the brunette blush a deep red.
"You're absolutely adorable, did you know that?" Chloe said.
"I am not adorable." Beca said, blushing even harder.
"You totes are." Chloe said. "But I would love to go out with you tonight."
Beca smiled.
"I know I don't remember the stuff you life, but-"
"-it doesn't matter." Chloe said. "You'll learn them again. And I know I'll like anything you do for me."
Beca smiled again.
"Okay. So I'll pick you up at seven." Beca said.
"Okay, I'll be ready." Chloe said.
Beca smiled and walked to the front door with her laptop under her arm. She turned to Chloe and hesitated for a second before kissing her cheek, then she left.
Chloe's fingers ghosted over the place where Beca kissed her and her heart beat faster. She knew tonight would be an amazing night.
