Okay... I was completely on board with the whole lemon thing, up until I went to write it. And then, I realized, not only have I never written anything even slightly sexual, I've never even had a partner, let alone sex! So this led me to conclude that my pitiful attempt would be laughed at and would be terrible. I will, however, write a lemon. I just need some more time, even thought I've given myself three weeks. :P Oh well.

I would also like to apologize for the three weeks I went AWOL. I had finals a week ago and I didn't want to be distracted from not studying. And then, I just wanted to sleep, so I went into a hibernative state for a short amount of time. So I, once again, apologize.

So, now that I'm done ranting, let's move on to our scheduled feature. ^-^

One last thing, there will be a time skip. Roughly one week. And please tell me if this story sucks ass. It would help me a lot. Thanks! :)

There were many things you could call them, but subtle wasn't one of them. After a week, it had seemed that Draco had become uncomfortable with his standings against all other male students in the building, and thought it wise to properly claim Hermione as his own.

A warning would have been appreciated, Hermione was almost as surprised as everyone else when he had rushed out the dungeon to give her a sound kiss and wish her a good day. She had stood there stock still and slightly dazed with a blank expression, wondering what the hell had just happened. Harry had fared slightly better, but Ron's ears had turned red faster than anyone could have thought possible. The following spat was one of the more... well, confusing ones.

Ron was furious, shouting things like 'how can you like that ferret?!' or 'were you going to tell us?!' All-in-all, Harry had taken it in stride and just acted as though he knew the entire time, and Ron refused to speak to her for a week. It had reminded her heavily of their fourth year.

But, the week had gotten better, many people got use to seeing Draco happy and smiling, many of the Slytherin were still adjusting to the fact he was happy with a Gryffindor muggleborn, however. At the beginning of this week, Hermione could take the stares, she could handle the whispers that followed her and seemed to get louder when Draco found her to hold her hand on the way to the Great Hall for breakfast or when he would kiss her as they separated for different classes.

Pulling her hair into a neat bun, she looked at herself in the mirror, finding no fly a ways, she turned around and left the prefects bathroom, thankful for the peace and quiet it provided almost every morning she needed it.

Draco saw down the hall, she was leaving the bathroom. He had planned to wait about on the upper floors until he saw her. There were only so many places the Gryffindor common room could be. With the Hufflepuff common room being by the kitchens and the Ravenclaw common room being on the fifth floor, it was only natural that the Gryffindor common room would be higher up. Gryffindor courage was never doused by anything, even heights. It helped, now, that the Slytherins and Gryffindors were the farthest away from one another. Being as close to each other as the Slytherins and Hufflepuffs were would be asking for a disaster.

He hid in an alcove behind a suit of armor waiting for her to pass. As she did, he slid out and started walking behind her. He smirked slightly, leaned down beside her, and whispered, "Hello, love."

Hermione jumped, almost hitting Draco with her shoulder. "Don't do that! You nearly gave me a heart attack!" The hair around her face was beginning to fall from the bun now. Pieces that were to short to reach the actual bun, but were long enough to stay in place. "Now I have to fix my hair again. Do you know how long it takes to get my hair to cooperate and do as I wish?" She said as she tried to pull the small strands back in to place.

"Far to long to be pleasant." Draco said, watching her feeble attempts. "Here, let me fix it." He swatted her hands away and brushed the hairs lightly to the side of her face. He then thought of how she would complain that it was obvious she had somehow messed up her hair within a matter of minutes. The last thing they needed right now was more rumors.

Draco stood back for a moment and asked her, "Do know the charm to lengthen hair, Hermione?"

"Of course, why wouldn't I?" She looked at him, confused.

"I was simply curious is all. This may hurt a bit." He reached up and grabbed one strand of hair on each side of her, directly in front of her ears, and pulled lightly. She made a face, but it was gone in seconds. He muttered a quick 'sorry' and continued, pulling out his wand.

Her eyes widened, "What are you doing?"

"I'm not trying to murder you. Come here." He said with an incredulous look on his face. A couple of diffindos later, and Hermione had two small curls by her ears, making it look like she might have done it on purpose, rather than being terrified by her boyfriend.

"There. How does that look?" He whispered.

Hermione dug in her bag for a moment, before pulling out a small piece of paper and transfiguring it into a small mirror. "It'll do." She said with a small smile, changing the mirror back into a piece of paper and stowing it in her bag.

They walked hand in hand to the Great Hall chatting quietly. Draco stopped her before they reached the doors, looking at her happily, "Are you going to sit with me in Potions? Or are you going to continue to sit with Potter and Weasley?"

"I really don't know. Ron and Harry will fail without me..."

"You can sit were ever you like, I was just asking." He kissed her lightly on her forehead. And continued to walk them into the Great Hall. Whispering as they separated, "I'll see you in class."

She waved at him and replied, "It's a date."
