Chapter 8
All the Avengers, minus Thor, rode the elevator in silence to their assigned floor to get some rest. One by one they exited leaving Natasha by herself due to the fact her room was the highest up.
Natasha didn't want to go back to her room to sleep she wanted answers. She wanted to know everything about the mischief God that was out cold a couple floors down. I mean no one was taking it very seriously. That monster tried to destroy New York City a couple days ago and rule Earth.
She growled in frustration. Things were so much easier when she didn't have SHEILD calling the shots.
The elevator binged singling that it has reached her floor.
Sighing she started walking slowly to her room throwing the door opening and slamming it shut behind her. She looked around the spacious room that Stark gave to her while she stays at the tower. There is a small living room with black couch and matching seat with a flat screen facing them. Across is a kitchen stocked with everything that someone could possibly need. To top it off is a large window that takes up most of the wall facing off towards New York. At the far end of the room is a single door that heads to the bedroom.
Natasha walks over the kitchen to grab a glass of water to try to calm her nerves.
If Thor wasn't down there with Loki than maybe she would be able to get some answers. He would probably lock her out if she tried to even get near brother.
Sitting down on the couch looking out at the destroyed city. Many civilian lives were lost during that battle no matter how hard they fought. In her old life she wouldn't care how many died as long as she got the job down but now everything has changed. Now she is a different person thanks to Clint and SHEILD. Looking around the room she decided that it might be best if she got some sleep so she laid down and tried the relax...
Natasha stayed there for hours trying to sleep but failing.
"Screw it. I'm getting answers." she said grabbing her guns and walking the door determined to get what she wanted.
Thor watched his resting brother long into the night watching for any sign of movement but after a while lack of sleep started to catch up. He tried to fight it but after awhile he gave in. His head fell and ended up landing on Loki's chest.
Loki's eyes snapped open breathing heavily after having another nightmare. Getting his breathing back to normal he tried to stand up ignoring the pain that was practically pulsing through his body to find that something was weighing him down. Looking down he realized that Thor had fallen asleep on him. Clenching his teeth in anger he pushed the gods head off of him forcing it to fall off the bed of course causing the thunder god the jolt awake. Thor looked irritated being woken up in such a hash way until he realized who woke him up.
"Brother, you are awake!" Thor grabbed the younger god pulling him into a hug forgetting the state he was in.
Loki winced at the pain the hug was causing him.
"You oaf, get off of me!" He yelled pushing at the gods chest in an attempt to get him off. Thor quickly got off recognizing the pain in his brother voice.
"Sorry..." Thor looked like a kicked puppy as he looked down. "I'm just so happy you are awake, brother."
Loki started to straighten himself up. Brushing the hair out of eyes and went to fix his shirt to find out he wasn't certainly wearing one. Grimacing he looked back at the thunder god.
"How many times, Odinson, do I have to tell you I am not your brother." Loki growled.
"No matter what you say you are my brother. Anyways how are you faring, Loki?"
"I am fine." He gritted out. "And no I am not. We no more brothers than Laufey is your father. So just stop or do I have to make you?" Loki was glaring daggers at Thor but he seemed unfazed.
"Look, Loki, I..." The elder god however was cut off by the door swinging open.
"Good you're awake. We need to talk, Loki." Natasha slowly wondered into the room eyes fixed on Loki.
Hope you guys enjoyed this chapter! I had troubles writing it because I didn't know where I wanted this story to go. Anyways I probably update soon if people are still writing do to the fact its summer and its raining here for the next 5 days. Like always R&R and thanks for reading it means A LOT!
