I know I promised longer chapters, however this was too perfect as a stand alone and worked as good place to put in some warnings and notes.

First off, if I owned it would you find anything here.

Secondly, changes to Vampire Knight cannon will be happening, horrific changes. Don't freak out, also with each change I have some slightly decent bullshit and reasoning behind it... most of it. I'll admit some is just my headcannon, but hey this is fanfiction. I do what I want.

Please Review, it feeds my empty soul.

"What did you find Walter?" Integra Hellsing asked as she smoked an evening cigar. Her butler, Walter C. Dornez, held a thin file that he proceeded to read through to his employer.

"Zero Kiryu, seventeen. Previously a student to an extremely prestigious boarding school," the butler paused in his summary, hmming over a particular detail. "Very high marks in all his school work, though it says he had dropped out of school, but continued through self study. It seems quite a few University's had their eyes on him. Harvard and Oxford, just to name a few."

"And his family?"

"His mother is listed as a housewife and his father owned a suspiciously profitable gun range. Followed up by one younger twin brother, Ichiru Kiryu."

"What's their status?"

"Both parents where killed six years back, the youngest son, went missing for another five years only to reappear at Cross Academy." Walter lay the crimes scene photo's on the desk for Integra to examine.

"Cross Academy?"

"Mr Kiryu's previous educators."

"Of course. Continue."

"A few months later he was declared dead by his brother and buried in a family crypt," finished Walter.

Integra methodically examined each picture before her, it depicted a blood bath, though not as one-sided as one might think, the defensive wounds alone proved they fought with all they had. As callous as it was, Integra sighed in relief, dead parents meant no-one to answer too. Although it felt far to convenient for her tastes.

"What of extended family?" All bases should be covered, loose ends lead to disastrous results.

"No liver grandparents on either side. His father, Senji Kiryu, had twelve older siblings, all of which died at a young age."

"Infants or children?" Integra questioned, both had high mortality rates, no matter how privileged a country.

"Neither, late teens to young adult. Listed as hunting accidents or no explanation was given."

"And his mother?"

"Kari Kiryu, married very young, she was a middle child of four. None of the siblings claimed guardianship of young Zero after the unfortunate death of his parents, or ever seemed to inquire about him."

"What's your opinion Walter?" She asked, chewing on the end of her cigar in thought. The butler considered his response carefully, attempting to both be truthful and soften the harsh truth for Integra. She may be Sir Integra, but Walter still remembered the little girl with large glasses and her personal demon pet.

"I think Sir, that Zero Kiryu was an unfortunate boy, with a terrible history. I believe that if someone to were to notice his disappearance, they would never track it back to Hellsing and he would simply become another in a sea of missing people."

"We can't even return him to his family."

"I'm afraid not."

"Find him an unmarked plot, bury him deep."
