"Calculation and decisions."

"I'll be back soon," Oum had said before leaving for the grocery store.

As soon as he left his room, the tiny Huntresses stood still, staring at the door that now remained shut. Ruby and Weiss were not used to the missing presence of Oum, for most of their entertainment came from the animator. In fact, nearly everything they did was because Oum gave them something to play with. Without him, the warm room felt a bit emptier than usual.

Still, they tried to have fun.

Ruby reached out for Weiss's cheeks with her tiny hands. The scythe-wielder seemed to enjoy grabbing things; among those things were the Little Schnee's cheeks. Though they did not spend a long time with each other, the two girls had become very good friends. Both of them did not seem to be aware of how they came into existence, much to Oum's confusion, but they certainly enjoyed the many things they experienced so far in their small-sized lives.

Weiss wiggled her arms, startling Ruby, before puffing her cheeks.

"Aa!" The white-haired girl mumbled.

"Ua?"

"…Aa!"

"…"

"Mph!"

As the white-haired girl crossed her arms and shut her eyes defiantly, Ruby blinked. Weiss did not seem to enjoy having her cheeks played with. Though the way the heiress puffed her cheeks made her want to play with them again, Ruby held herself back, instead trying to find something else that could interest the two of them.

Something fluffy would be nice.

Her eyes fell upon a curious person sitting on the desk. Confusion filled her mind, with curiosity soon following afterward. Wondering who the girl was, Ruby used her small legs to walk up to a dark-haired girl.

The girl's yellow eyes peered into Ruby's gray ones. Donning a dark skirt and a black waist-jacket, the newcomer tilted her head, curiosity entering her eyes as well. She seemed timid, for she squirmed uncomfortably under Ruby's gaze.

Without a sound, the Little Rose walked closer to the dark-haired girl before reaching out for a pair of fluffy ears.

"…!"

The tiny scythe-wielder instantly made a wide and open smile as soft, fluffy fur brushed against her hands.

Fluffy! Whoever she was, the new person had fluffy ears.

Ruby proceeded to hug the girl known as Blake Belladonna. Startled by the red Huntress, Blake rolled backwards with Ruby. Together, they turned into a plushy wheel that continued to roll for about another second before falling apart.

As the tiny Ruby and Blake got up, the scythe-wielder saw the Little Schnee looking around for her. Ruby hoped that Weiss would like the fluffy-eared person she just met.

It took the white-haired heiress a few seconds before she made eye contact with Ruby. She turned her head just a little bit to stare at Blake.

Noticing her fluffy ears, Weiss squeaked as she fell on the back of her head. She clutched her head as she rolled around the table, making weird noises. Ruby laughed happily, but Blake seemed timid at the Little Schnee's presence.

Though there were times where Weiss would roll around for fun, this time, she rolled in pain. The white-haired girl bolted up from the table, her arms crossed, as she slowly approached Blake and Ruby with a pouty face. She herself seemed nervous at Blake's presence.

More specifically, she looked afraid of the fluffy ears Blake had.

Ruby turned to Weiss and Blake, her smile turning into a sad and confused frown. They did not seem to acknowledge each other. That was a problem, and Ruby did not intend on leaving it unsolved! Her legs filled with the motivation to help her friend get along with the cat-eared person, she waddled down the table.

Silence fell over the worktable for a brief moment. During the silence, Weiss spent time glancing between Blake and the last place she left her fuel rod cannon at before meeting the fluffy-eared girl. Blake fidgeted her small fingers, staring at the ground with her ears lowered to the sides of her head.

Ruby soon returned with a large paper wrapped in plastic. After putting the paper down near Weiss and Blake, she turned and motioned for them to move. At first, the white-and-black duo seemed hesitant in moving up to Ruby, but they soon listened obediently to the eager Huntress's carefree waving.

As soon as they got together, however, the mood changed immediately.

Weiss's eyes shined brightly, and Blake's cat ears shot up in excitement. Ruby suddenly looked surprised and amazed despite carrying the paper over to Weiss and Blake in the first place.

A few minutes later, Oum returned to his room, a grocery bag in one hand. As he shut the door, he noticed that there were three girls rolling on a concept sketch of Zwei.

Three.

Three.

Three.

There were three girls. Not one, not two… but three.

Oh no, Monty Oum, creator of RWBY, thought with both horror and amazement, they multiplied again.

The man unknowingly dropped his plastic grocery bag as he watched Ruby, Weiss, and Blake roll around the Zwei picture mindlessly. As he realized the pattern of their appearances, he feared for what was to eventually come.

…And he also felt concerned on how he would eventually have to explain everything to Sheena soon.

For the time being, he decided that simply watching the three tiny miracles roll around with joy was the best way to soothe his worried heart.
