Skipper was asleep. "Guys, I have news. Skipper can't lead the team with a broken leg, so we need a sub leader." Private said. Kowalski raised his wing. "Okay Kowalski. You can lead." Private said. Kowalski smiled. "Yes!" Kowalski yelled. Alex sighed. "I was so wanting to be the leader." Alex said. Kowalski cringed. "I'm the leader!" Kowalski yelled. Rico walked back to the Penguin HQ. "What happened?" He asked. "Kowalski's the leader." Private said. "What!? Oh no! Remember the last time he was the leader?" Rico asked. "Yes. We all remember that." Private said.
"Guys, I changed." Kowalski said. "Yeah right." Rico said. "Alright Rico, keep an eye on Kowalski." Private said. "No problem Private." Rico said. Alex walked over to Private. "Private, I wanted to be the leader." Alex said. "You had your turn! I didn't!" Kowalski yelled. "Okay. Easy, let's not yell." Private said. "Whatever you say Mediator Private." Rico said. "So Kowalski, what's our mission?" Private asked. "We have to stop Julien from coming into this HQ." Kowalski said. Alex sighed. "I want to be the leader." He said. "Well you're not! I am!" Kowalski yelled. "Great. Another argument. Doesn't this seem familiar?" Rico asked. Private nodded. "Follow me guys!" Kowalski yelled.
The penguins left the Penguin HQ. "Alright. Where's Julien?" Rico asked. "Wait, we always attack him. Let's do something else." Kowalski said. "Yeah. Let me be the leader." Alex said. "Alex!" Kowalski screamed. Marty heard the yelling. "What's going on?" Marty asked. "Alex wants to take over." Kowalski said. "Kowalski's being mean." Alex said. "Where's Skipper?" Marty asked. "He has a broken leg, so Kowalski's in charge." Private said. "But I wanted to be in charge. I asked first." Alex said. "No! I did!" Kowalski yelled. Alex started to cry. Melmen saw the penguins. "Wow. Alex seems upset. Maybe he should go to a doctor." Melmen said. "Dr. Kowalski!" Kowalski yelled. Rico shook his head. "A real doctor." Rico said. "Oh." Kowalski said. "Well I'm still the leader."
Alex was still crying. "I want to be the leader!" Alex yelled. "Okay this isn't right. No one should be crying about being the leader." Private said. "Agreed." Rico said. "But remember, I'm different." Alex said. "Yeah. Speaking about that, what happened to Alex?" Gloria asked. "He has something called Asperger's." Kowalski said. "Oh." The three mammals said. "It's a disorder." Melmen said. "Yeah." Kowalski said. "Julien thought it was a burger made up of ashes." Rico said. Marty and Gloria laughed. "He's a weirdo." Gloria said. "You're telling me." Rico said. "So who should be the leader in Skipper's absence?" Melmen asked. "Me!" Alex yelled. "No! We all agreed that I will be the leader!" Kowalski yelled. "I didn't agree with that." Alex said. "Okay, enough! This is ridiculous! This reminds me of the last argument you had as the leader." Private said. "What happened the last time?" Gloria asked. "You don't remember?" Melmen asked. "Hey, we had a million dates and I remember that, but the penguins do their own thing." Gloria said. "True." Melmen said.
"We'll tell you." Private said. "So it was five o'clock in the morning. Private and Skipper both got sick the day before. Alex and I were up. Private, Rico, and Skipper were asleep. Then Private woke up. He was feeling better. I yelled at Rico and got him up." Kowalski said. "I was annoyed at you." Rico said. "You're always annoyed at me!" Kowalski yelled. "Anyway, I said that I was the sub leader."
"However, Rico and I wanted Alex to be the leader." Private said. "Right." Rico said. "And here's what Alex wanted to do! He wanted to have fun! It was the exact opposite of what Skipper does!" Kowalski yelled. Melmen and Marty looked at each other. "Wow, but Kowalski, not everyone can be like Skipper." Gloria said. Kowalski sighed. "So that was the argument." Private said. "Okay." Melmen said. "You won't do that again right?" Marty asked. Alex nodded. "We won't do that again." He said. "I have one question, who's the leader?" Rico asked. "Me!" Alex and Kowalski yelled. "Oh great." Marty said. The three mammals walked away.
Skipper woke up. He got up and he was walking around with his penguin crutches. He walked out of the Penguin HQ and saw his brothers and Alex. "What's going on?" Skipper asked. "Skipper! Alex wants to be the leader, but I'm the leader!" Kowalski yelled. "Not this again. Oh come on. This is stupid." Skipper said. "But someone needs to lead the team." Kowalski said. "Skipper, choose me." Alex said. "No way! Me!" Kowalski yelled. Skipper sighed. "Who didn't have a turn?" Skipper asked. Kowalski raised his wing. "Fine. Kowalski's in charge." Skipper said and walked back to the Penguin HQ.
Kowalski cheered and Alex cried. "Skipper!" Alex yelled. "No crying over who's the leader! You need to grow up!" Kowalski yelled. Alex was still crying. Kowalski shook his head. "Come on guys, let's do something." Kowalski said. Kowalski, Rico, and Private left the Penguin Habitat. Alex went back to the Penguin HQ.
Skipper was asleep. Alex walked in and went to Kowalski's lab. Skipper opened his eyes. "Alex, Kowalski will not like it if you were in his lab." Skipper said. "But I need to be alone." Alex said. "Look Alex, this is my fault. I'm sorry." Skipper said. "No. It's mine. I just wanted to be the leader." Alex said.
Kowalski, Rico, and Private were walking around. "Isn't this great guys? I'm the leader." Kowalski said. Rico and Private did not want to talk to Kowalski. "Bragging Kowalski." Rico said to Private. "Agreed." Private said. "Hey, no talking behind my back boys." Kowalski said. "Sorry." Private said. "It's fine." Kowalski said. "I feel like we're forgetting someone." Rico said. "Who? Sure Skipper isn't here, but I'm the sub leader." Kowalski said. "Not Skipper, Alex." Rico said. "Oh." Kowalski said.
