Jamie Moonshine
Jamie didn't know what to do with herself. She was so confused with who and what she was, and was constantly being pulled between separate worlds. Both her parents wanted different things from her, and she didn't know what to choose.
Her father was a werewolf, and the leader of his pack. She was a part of that pack and knew how close and loyal their bond was to each other. There were around eight werewolves in her father's pack not including her or her father. There were five boys, and two girls, all of whom she got along with because of her father's position, but his position also made her feel separated somehow. She felt misunderstood, everyone in his pack loved the werewolf life and didn't understand how she could bare to stray from it, but there was another side to this story.
Her mother was a fairy. In fact, she used to be the queen of the fairies...or at least the princess. Her mother was training her to become a fairy princess in her place. Becoming a fairy princess meant mastering magic, flying, and manners. Her mother was teaching her how to rule, develop these skills along with being graceful and lady like. She, however, liked to use her magic to play pranks on others. When she told her mother about it Desiree confessed that most fairies feel that way all their lives, and that it's in their blood, but a Queen must suppress the desire to prank others and instead care for them.
Jamie didn't like being lady like, or the idea of ruling a kingdom. She thought the task of ruling would make her spoiled and snobbish, like her mother. Yet, the idea of forsaking the fae terrified Jamie. She had always had the power of magic; she couldn't just give it away.
The idea of being both was so much more enjoyable when she was younger. She got to fly all day and run all night, and every day she spent with both her parents. Now, she hardly saw them together at all. Sure, during their childhood they would fight a lot, but at least they were together. It didn't even seem like her parents were married anymore.
Every so often she would go out with her dad and his pack to collect gems and ingredients for the witches they worked for in return of shelter. She had to admit that her time as a werewolf was fun, but uncontrollable, and every time she wished her mother could see her. Her mother had refused to go out gathering and hunting with them, saying that they didn't deserve to.
The rest of the time when she wasn't in school she was with her mother, training with her. Her mother took her flying, and introduced her to other fairies, who often gave her wary looks because of her lineage. Her mother taught her how to focus her magic to help or hurt people. The rest of the time she was teaching her balance and manners, to help others and all that.
She didn't like being criticized for her behavior and told what to do, it was her supernatural blood that made her feel powerful and rebellious. Yet, it wasn't who she was. She never told her parents how she felt about anything that she did with them; in fact, she hardly spoke to them about any of her problems. Mostly, because she knew that her parents would give her two very different answers.
Her family had found a home with the witches about three years ago, when Jamie was only twelve, and she was asleep at the time. When she woke up in a bed, she thought that she might be dreaming at first. Then she met the inhabitants, and quickly grew to accept the new life she had. The other wolves had helped her through the transition.
Jamie had a feeling that her father wouldn't be fired again. This had been the longest all of them had ever stayed in one place, in one house that is. The witches didn't pay them with money, just shelter and food, and that was enough for them.
Jamie believed that the main witch, Kayla, was an excellent cook. She made breakfast and dinner for them every day. Her mom could never cook, since she was raised by castle staff, and her dad was used to eating things raw. The main reason Jamie was thankful for a good cook was because werewolves were big eaters.
It was another conflict with herself; her werewolf self ate a lot, meanwhile, her fairy self ate a little. Evening the amount out, it meant that she ate an average amount of food. That didn't stop her father from wondering why she didn't eat more, and her mother from wondering why she didn't eat less.
She hated being in the middle of her parents all the time. It was never about her, it was always about them, but they never arranged what 'them' included. It was either her dad and her, or her mom and her, not the three of them. Now they were asking her to choose a side. By the time she turned eighteen, she either had to forsake the fae, or drink a potent cure elixir concocted by Kayla. She never thought her parents would make her choose, but now they were, and Jamie's stress headaches continued to grow.
Now, Jamie was in her room, unsure of what to do. She needed to be alone to think, possibly decide but maybe not. Mostly, she was just avoiding her parents. Suddenly, there was a knock at the door, and Jamie shrunk down to hide under her bed. Then, she saw a pair of pointed shoes enter the room.
"Jamie, are you in here?" Emily asked, and Jamie flew out from under the bed, and stood in front of her.
"What is it?" she asked,
"I just wanted to tell you that we have someone new staying here...why were you under the bed?" she finished,
Jamie quickly replied with, "I was looking for something."
Emily nodded and smirked, "Something like...answers." she guessed,
Jamie sighed and slumped down on the bed, "My parents are making me choose between them, I don't know what to do." She confessed. Emily sat down on the bed net to her and started thinking.
"Is there anything that might help your decision?" she asked her,
Jamie thought about, "Well, I do have a lot of fun as a werewolf." She confessed,
"But you also have a lot of fun as a fairy." Emily countered,
"Yes, but, there is a guy in my Dad's pack that I might like." She confessed again,
"Who is he?" Emily asked excitedly,
"Ethan." She admitted,
"Well, then that settles it. You're going to stay a werewolf...but, don't tell your parents yet. Tell them when you're eighteen. That way, you have a decision for now, but you can change your mind if you want."
"That's a great idea! Thanks, Emily. I don't know what I'd do without you." She said and she hugged her friend,
"I just like to help others." She admitted,
Then suddenly, two figures floated through the door towards them; one of them, Jamie recognized.
"Ally, this is Jamie and Emily. Jamie is a werewolf and a fairy, and Emily is a Witch. She is also my adopted Twin sister." Tina told the other ghost girl.
"Wow...but, how?" The ghost said,
"It's a long story." Tina stated,
"Tina?" Emily asked hesitantly, "Who is this?"
"Oh, this is Ally; she's a friend from my past. She's going to be staying here a while if that's okay with you. Now if you don't mind, I'm going to finish showing Ally around." Tina said before the two of them floated through the door and through the rest of the house.
The two of them just sat there in silence for a moment after that, wondering how this house was going to fit another ghost when it was already full enough as it was.
A/N: So... I played out my game a little, and discovered, you can't have siblings who are young adult and teenager! I can't believe it! However, I also couldn't fit Jack, Ally, or the rest of the pack in there as well. So, I put playing it on halt. However, in the game I played an alternate version of Jamie's story where her mother hides the fact that she wasn't a fairy and actually a werewolf. When Jamie discovers the truth she freaks out. Sorry about the sudden appearance of Ally and Tina at the end if that felt random, I just wanted to include them.
