It would really make my day if someone were to review on this story; seriously it makes me happy to know what you think about my skills as an author :) Btw thank u Blitz-Queen of Sorrow, idk why I didn't notice I wrote the fight between Liddell and Tempest twice, I rewrote this chapter bcuz u pointed it out.
Loue and I wondered the dark halls together inside Gretel's castle. I couldn't help but feel that this was sorta romantic even though it was the wrong time and place. I hadn't forgotten the crush I used to have on Loue and how I still thought he was my super hot vampire dude. Totally cliché right?
I liked the way he had been my friend even though I was selfish and immature when he met me. I liked his ivory skin and blazing red eyes that cut through the night, I liked the way Loue tossed his hair. Last but not least, I liked that when I would hug Loue it would feel special; his cape and dark hair would cover me and make me feel like I was in my own little world with him. His touch made my skin tingle, the thought made a shiver send up my spine.
"You cold?" Loue asked.
"No, I'm fine," I explained rubbing my bare arms.
"You're being awfully quiet," He commented.
"And your being awfully ugly," I snickered poking him with the head of my umbrella.
"Really? Is that the best you got? 'I'm ugly'?'" He asked with a small smirk.
"Hey Loue? Does this still hurt?" I jabbed my umbrella into his side.
"Ow! Yes! Stoppit!" He jumped away.
"hehe," I giggled.
"We have serious business to do Liddell remember?" Loue got his serious I'm-Queen-Alice's-Servant face on.
"Serious business?" I asked bumping shoulders with him, "I don't know what you're talking about," I giggled.
"Com'n Liddell…" Loue said patiently.
"Is this 'serious business' enough for you?" I asked. Before he could respond or react or before I lost my nerve I leaned him against a wall and pressed my lips to his. I had to tilt my head up a bit cuz he was still taller than me.
I held my kiss for a few more seconds before awkwardly backing off him and blushing regretting making such a stupid move.
I could see Loue blush too, his cheeks were flushed pink. Loue and I were silent for at least three minutes before the silence killed me and I spoke up.
"Sorry," I choked on my words worried if Loue would still like me or if I blew my chances with him while joking around.
"It's ok Liddell…" He said sounding slightly shocked, "You just caught me off guard. Let's just focus on rescuing Princess Gretel."
"Ok right, he throne should be right around here right?" I asked.
"Yeah right in there," Loue said as we both waltzed inside her wonderful candyland. I had never seen so many bright candies. I saw a skinny woman with silver hair and glowing red eyes staring into Gretel's dark blue eyes as she cowered on her thrown. In the woman's hand was a pink vile of what I was sure was poison.
"So you're the sweet's princess huh?" The scrawny woman asked. Princess Gretel nodded. I remembered Princess Gretel, as pretty and sweet as she may be, she wasn't bright. She was a blonde like me, and her intelligence showed it.
"Eat it bitch!" The silver haired woman dumped pink poison onto a rather large chocolate cake in front of Gretel. Gretel sobbed.
"Do I have to eat it?" She cried and a tear slid down her face.
"Yes!" The woman grabbed a clump of the cake from the center clawing it with her fingernails. She jammed the cake into Gretel's open mouth and wouldn't remove her hand as she waited for Gretel to swallow.
"Hey you stupid bitch!" I knocked the woman on the head with my pumpkin with my umbrella.
As I hoped the woman lost interest in Gretel and turned to face me. Gretel spit out the cake and gagged clearing her mouth. When this woman turned I didn't recognize her. She looked like the Eld Witch but wasn't, but it didn't really matter to me. I was gunna show this witch who was boss.
Loue went to Gretel's aid and made sure she was ok as he leaned and whispered to her.
I knew Loue and Gretel were ok, and now it was time for me to see what I had on this old witch.
"If you're not the Eld Witch than who the hell are you?!" I demanded.
"I am Tempest, oldest daughter of the Eld Witch, you will face my rath," She screamed.
"Tempest?" I said confused.
Before I could react Tempest drew a Vile Rune. I was instantly engulfed in a thick, sickening layer of poison that drained my body and made me feel like I needed to vomit everywhere.
I choked to catch my breath before I drew my spell. I chose an explosion spell. They taught these at my school and they were effective but I chose to use the ancient rune explosion magic to give it that extra punch I would need to drive out a strong Witch like Tempest.
I sent my explosion spell sailing at her and when it struck I was sure the whole kingdom could hear. It was like a huge bomb going off. I watch Tempest's body flinch and get burned as she tried to resist the powerful spell.
I walked straight up to Tempest and smacked her pale old face. Not before she could throw a biota rune at me which caused vines to wrap themselves around my legs and over my purple striped stockings. The vines made it impossible to move.
I with my arms still free I cast Thun Rune. I willed a strike of lightning to shoot down from the sky as if Zeus himself sent it. It's electrical current ran its course and brought Tempest to her knees.
I was about set another explosion spell which I was sure would finish the older witch off, when she spoke up.
"Wait! Please don't kill me!" She begged on her knees as though she were praying.
"Why shouldn't I?" I demanded.
"I'll leave this land, I'll leave this girl unharmed, I'll remove the poison that soaked the earth!" The woman pleaded for an agreement.
I walked over to Tempest and lifted up my umbrella ready to give her the final blow.
"Wait!" Loue shouted. I gave him a sideways glare, I was not gunna let this bitch live.
I smashed my pumpkin umbrella against Tempest's face breaking her nose and smashing it into her brain. Her body laid now limp on the ground.
"Liddell!" Loue ran up and grabbed my arm but it was too late; Tempest was gone.
"Wha?" I looked at him funny.
"I told you not to kill her," he said calmly even though I could tell he was angry.
"uh… sorry?" I said sarcastically.
"Liddell we needed to get information from her!"
"Oh… my bad…" I said blushing feeling guilty as I looked into Tempest's deep dead stare.
I heard a muffled sound behind me and turned around.
Gretel had fallen to her knees again and was crying and in hysterics.
Loue bent down to her level and slowly helped her back to her feet.
"You saved me," Gretel looked at me with her wide blue eyes.
"Yup," I nodded, "Any idea where we should go next? We're kinda on a tight schedule here"
"hmmm… Let me think," Gretel let go of Loue and held her fingers to her lips thinking.
"My sister Hansel in Rem Boras could probably use some help even though she is stronger than me," Gretel smiled.
"That's a given," I said under my breath receiving an elbow from Loue.
"Thank u princess, we'll go now. Just keep the kingdom safe with what you can," Loue said as he started to head out the castle door.
I followed behind Loue and as we left the candy kingdom together I noticed the poison that had seeped through the land had left. I tried a sample of frosting to make sure we did good work, nope no poison in this kingdom.
Next chapter is in Rem Boreas (ice Kingdom)
