Screams filled the woods surrounding her, as the blade worked its way through her skin. Tears streamed down her eyes, and her heart ached in her chest.
She wanted Kol there to hold her, but he couldn't. If he was there, his father would kill him. She couldn't allow that.
Not when he had a huge purpose to fulfill, and someone waiting for him in the future.
The knife scraped across her sides, and she tried to conceal a scream from her lips, but it didn't work.
"The more you hold back, the worse it'll be, love." Mikael whispered, leaning forward.
She shook her head, and bit back a cry. She wouldn't give in. She wouldn't…

Kol placed a stake in his belt, and a few vials of vervain in his pockets. He was going to get her back. He had to.
"Kol,"
Kol froze, and shook his head. "You are not going to talk me out of this, Nik." Kol remarked, slipping on his coat. "Mikael has the woman I love, and I am not going to stand by while he kills her." He stated, turning to glare at his brother.
Klaus sighed, and shook his head. "I was going to say, I'm going with you." He remarked, stepping into the room.
Kol turned his head to look at his brother once more, and narrowed his eyes. "Why?" He asked, watching Klaus bow his head.
"Because she is special, and she is family." Klaus stated, though Kol could tell the words were hard for him to say.
With a nod from his head, Kol accepted his brother's proposal. "Thank you, Nik." He whispered, walking to the door, and stopping in front of him.
Klaus nodded, and sighed. "You know, Antonia may already be dead." He remarked, though his voice held the fear Kol knew so well.
"She's not dead yet." Kol stated, pushing past his brother.
"How do you know?" Klaus asked, turning to follow him.
Kol paused at the top of the stairs, and sighed. "Because I can feel her."
Klaus nodded, accepting the answer, and motioned towards Elijah, who was waiting at the bottom of the stairs with Rebekah.
"Rebekah," Klaus began, but she shook her head.
"I know, Nik. I just came to wish you all luck." She whispered, hugging each of them, and kissed their cheeks. "Bring her back, Kol." She added, watching her brother nod.
She watched them leave the house, and she sighed, wrapping her arms around her body. "Let her stay alive." She whispered, shaking her head. "Please, let her be alive."

Tears streaked her dirt covered face, and Antonia couldn't hold back the sobs from her throat. It hurt to cry. It hurt to speak. Every fiber of her body hurt.
"I could ease your pain, Antonia." Mikael remarked, sharpening his knife. "Just tell me where to find your lover, and my children, and I'll give you a quick death." He added, pointing the knife in her direction.
Antonia shook her head, and bit her bottom lip. "I will never tell you." She stated through her cracked throat.
Mikael chuckled, and shook his head. "You know, you remind me so much of my wife." He remarked, stepping towards her. "She was strong and stubborn, just like you." He added, with a distant look in his eyes. "She was beautiful and resilient." He continued, seeming to be lost in the past.
"I know all about her." She croaked out.
He snapped out of his trance, and glared at her. "I suppose they told you I killed her." He remarked, nodding his head.
Antonia lifted her head higher, even though the pain was killing her.
He scoffed, and shook his head. "I didn't kill my wife!" He shouted in her face.
She searched his eyes, and slowly nodded. "I know." She whispered, her heart breaking at the pain, even though he had tortured her.
He shook his head. "Even after that knowledge, you are still willing to protect them?" He asked, watching her lift her head higher.
"Everyone does things they regret, and I've seen their regret." She stated, her voice getting stronger.
Mikael sneered, and leaned forward. "My children have no regret."
She tilted her head to the side, and smiled, lightly. "Do you?"
He gritted his teeth, and let out a growl. Turning on his heel, he moved towards the small table with knifes placed delicately on the top, and slammed his hands on the table, causing it to shake, which meant he didn't use all his strength.
She closed her eyes, and bowed her head. She could feel him getting nearer, and that broke her heart more than the pain Mikael had inflicted upon her.
Opening her eyes, she lifted her head, and sighed as she caught sight of him in the distance. Shaking her head, she told him to stay away.
She read the determination in his eyes, and slowly she turned her gaze to Niklaus. With a soft smile, she told him all she needed to.
Mikael turned around, and focused on her. In his eyes, she saw that he knew they were there. With the tightening of her jaw, she studied him.
"I want them to know the pain I felt all those years ago." He began, leaning forward. "I won't kill them, yet, my dear Antonia." He whispered, brushing his fingers over her skin, and watched her shiver with disgust. "I know they can hear me, which is why I will say, it's nothing personal." He added, with a sneer on his face.
Antonia moved her eyes to Kol's in the distance, who was being held back by his brothers. She knew they wanted to fight, but now was not the time. She was sorry she was putting Kol through this, but her death would make him stronger, and prepare him for the one who would love him completely, as she would have.
Holding his eyes, she felt a hand enter her chest, and she gasped. Never breaking eye contact, she felt her heart being pulled from her chest, and the pain of her death rang through her body, but her eyes told a different story.
She was content.
