Chapter Nine:

Never before had such anger pulsed through him, set like stone without a smile or twinkle of mirth in his eye, Urahara Kisuke glowered at the wall opposite him as though it was his greatest enemy. His hands were clenched around the rim of his striped hat, so tightly in fact that it was scrunched up beyond repair; his hellish mood had no bounds, despite knowing that it was self inflicted.

Yoruichi sighed as she watched him and shook her head, refusing to take it anymore; she walked forwards and crouched in front of him, taking his face in her hands and forcing him to look at her, gently, before she leaned in and placed a gentle kiss on the lips of the man she loved.

"Kis~ why did you give Aizen the crystals?" she asked.

"Because some stupid part of me wanted to believe that Ichigo was right to trust him." the blond answered softly, roused from rage by her kiss, "But Ichigo is wrong... Aizen will hurt him, just like he hurts everyone around him. Everything that man touches turns to ash..."

She tilted her head, "And how do you know that he has used them? Hmm... You've got no proof just your prejudice of him."

"I placed a seal on the phial, Yoruichi-san, a seal that would alert me as soon as it was opened. He has opene the phial, he has used them on Ichigo and he has betrayed his word. Yet again, only this time I allowed him to do so, not only that I helped him to do it! Isshin will go crazy when he gets back..." he sighed and rubbed his forehead.

"It's not your fault Kis~."

The blond pulled away from his lover's touch and stood up slowly, crumpled hat on the floor forgotten as he walked over to the window, "Oh Yoruichi-san... I gave him the wrong crystals!" he exclaimed suddenly, the true reason for his rage coming to fruition.

"What? How?! You don't make mistakes like that Kisuke." she said with a frown, standing slowly and looking at him.

Knowing he was in trouble unless he told the truth, by the tone of her voice and the usage of his full name, Urahara sighed heavily and rubbed his forehead, "It was an accident, I swear it to you. I don't truly know how I managed it, but I had two different phials containing crystals which looked exactly the same... And I forgot to put labels on them. I've been so busy relaying messages to and from Soul Society that I just hadn't gotten around to it and then Aizen came around and I just... Gave him the wrong one by mistake."

"And what, do tell me, does the one that you gave him actually do?" she asked, folding her arms slowly and raising an eyebrow at him.

The blond looked around slowly and laughed weakly, his grey eyes barely concealing his concerns that he was about to get pounced on and attacked for his mistake before he lifted a hand and ran it through his hair, stopping halfway to scratch his scalp as he did when nervous, "Well you see, the thing is..."

Ichigo yawned widely and rolled over in bed; he woke slowly from a peaceful slumber, feeling refreshed and lively. Sitting up slowly, he groaned and retreated back under the covers as his lower back exploded with pain and sent him recoiling into confusion and deep thinking. He simply couldn't fathom what he had done the day before to end in him being in so much discomfort.

Speaking of which, he couldn't remember anything he had done the previous day...

"Shoot..." he muttered and shuffled out of bed, holding his back as he hobbled across his room to his wardrobe; he felt crippled and he couldn't remember anything aside from the slightly disturbing erotic dream he had been having just before waking up. He grabbed some clothes and then lurched out of his room and into the bathroom for a much desired and needed shower; maybe it would help clear his head as well.

It took him twenty minutes to shower, relaxing his muscles and easing the pain in his back to a much more manageable level with which he could cope. The fog had begun to lift on his mind as well, he could remember school and talking to his friends about Aizen staying with him; he remembered getting home and making the tea... No he never finished making it something happened before he could. He had realised something, yes that was it, he had come to realise something and it had stopped him from making the tea.

Climbing out of the shower slowly he grabbed the towel and dried himself, pausing as he saw himself in the mirror and staring at the abundance of bruises and... Bite marks littering his body. His face began to flush as he could only assume where they had come from and how he had gotten them; he gave himself a thorough check over and found a mass of more bruising and scratches as well! Oh dear god it looks like he had been ravaged by some kind of animal!

He pulled his clothes on and dashed back into his bedroom, his movement no longer held back by the pain in his back before he swore and realised that it was a school day and he was... He picked up the alarm clock and his eyes nearly popped out of his head... five hours late! He had slept until 2 O'clock in the afternoon!

Shaking his head and grabbing his mobile from the bedside table he saw that he had a list of sixteen messages and nine missed calls. All from his friendship circle. He swore loudly and shoved the phone in his pocket before he half ran down the stairs to find out why Aizen hadn't woken him up.

Bursting into the lounge he stopped dead and stared, his eyes slowly moving around the absolutely desecrated room. It looked like a bomb had hit it! Ornaments lay on the floor, chairs had been knocked flying, shelves were broken and books were scattered; the sofa was crumpled with pillows and the coffee table was on its head. In the en-suit kitchen pots and pans were lying on the counters and floor, plates were broken in the sink.

What on Earth had happened?!

And there was Aizen in the middle of it, yellow gloves on and black bag in hand as he cleaned up what couldn't be salvaged and tried to right the things which were. By the looks of the man he was in pretty bad shape, there were dark circles under his eyes like hadn't slept at all the previous night; he too was covered in bruises and scratches, as well as the odd bite mark here and there.

Once again Ichigo was left racking his brain, trying to recall exactly what had happened before he had gone to sleep. By some miracle he had gone unnoticed by the brunet, whether that was because he was too tired or because he was knee-deep in cleaning the abominable mess that was the lounge he wasn't sure.

"Need a hand with that?" he asked loudly, grinning as he leaned against the door frame and watched the other man half leap out of his skin. That was a bit weird.

Aizen flipped around at the sound of the other's voice, his eyes wide, "Ichigo!" he exclaimed, swallowing hard and expecting the rage and hate and anger and disgust to come piling down on him at any second.

"Yes, that was my name when I last checked. You're jumpy." he sighed as he walked forwards and picked a few bits of broken rubbish up to put in the bin bag, "What happened in here anyway, looks like a bomb hit it."

The brunet stared for a moment, did that mean... Ichigo didn't remember. Aizen wasn't sure whether he was relieved... Or actually a little disppointed. But maybe this meant that they could just carry on as normal, no one had to get hurt, he didn't have to get chucked out or killed and... No, who was he kidding, he couldn't act like nothing had happened.

"I drugged your tea and then fucked the life out of you."

It was Ichigo's turn to stare. He thought for several moments that he was still asleep and was dreaming this conversation; then he rationalised and decided that he probably misheard, but when Aizen's expression remained serious and fearful he realised that he might just be telling the truth. The drugging would account for his lapse of memory, his long sleep and his feeling of not entirely grasping reality yet, and the other half of the brunet's statement... Well it would explain his contented sleep and aching backside.

So he decided to go along with him.

"And... Why did you do that?" he asked curiously.

Aizen balked slightly at that and licked his lips, "Because... I... Because I don't know how to cope with feelings and thought that drugging you was the right answer, when it clearly wasn't and I've done a terrible thing, betraying your trust, betraying you, taking your virginity and drugging you, not to mention betraying Urahara Kisuke and using the drugs against his permission but he did give them to me so I am surprised that he didn't realise what I was up to but that really isn't the point and I can't apologise enough. I haven't changed at all, I am still a manipulative, evil bastard who uses people and doesn't deserve your help. If you want to sent me back to Soul Society or... Or smite me down where I stand I will completely understand."

Ichigo's mouth fell open as he listened to the long winded rant which spewed quite comically from the other's mouth. It would only have been funnier to see if Aizen had actually thrown himself to the floor and begged for forgiveness, but the man was too proud and would never stoop that low. Now that he was talking though, things were starting to make more sense and actually a bit of his memory was returning. He could recall the feeling of intense heat and the surge of desire; he could also recall the feeling of intense pleasure and... His face flushed as everything returned all at once and he suddenly looked around the room as if it was contaminated or... Or... Perverted.

"I remember..." he sighed, rubbing his forehead as he tried to work out if he was angry, or if he was actually concerned at all.

"I... Okay..." Aizen swallowed hard and tried to compose himself, he was being so out of character it was simply stupid.

Ichigo chuckled slightly, "Stop looking like I am going to eat you, although given what happened last night you might like that." he winked suddenly before clapping a hand over his mouth as he realised what he had said.

The brunet's mouth fell open before he started giggling under his breath, "You're right, I might like it." he agreed.

The strawberry started laughing through his embarrassment as the other answered and his laughing got louder, he ended up holding his stomach, "I can't believe I just said that... What the hell's wrong with me..."

"You've had me shagging you around the room?" Aizen offered, still laughing as well before he half doubled over.

"Yes... Yes I blame you... Haha... I blame you entirely!" Ichigo reached out and grabbed his shoulders his tears of laughter rolled down his cheeks and they both ended up in an absolute mess of hysterics.

It took some time for the pair to calm down, by which time they had both sat down on the messy couch, Ichigo was resting against the brunet, holding his stomach as it ached from the childish fit they had both experienced. He sighed heavily and shook his head, still smiling slightly before he looked up at the brunet.

"You didn't need to drug me you know." he commented, sounding more sober than a short while ago.

"I... I didn't?" Aizen frowned, looking at him in confusion.

"No... Just before you came home I realised that I was falling for you." he admitted, considering that the man had already seen him naked he had decided that there was little more he could do to embarrass himself, so why not confess his feelings as well?

"You... What?!" he exclaimed, "You... Are falling for me?"

"Yeah," he sat back more comfortably, "... It's not ideal considering our history but I can't help it... I know how I feel and I feel like... I don't want to be apart from you."

The brunet slowly put his arm around him, "Why are you not angry at me?" he asked in confusion.

"No idea... Normally for something like this I would punch and hit and scream but... I just don't want to, because as much as you did wrong by drugging me, I've never felt more content since the death of my mom." he admitted quietly, "I've always felt like something was missing but... I can't explain it... Something just feels undeniably right about this whole thing. And it is stupid... Because right now I should be pulling your hair and ripping you apart."

"I... Made you feel content?" Aizen repeated, unused to the swell of joy in his chest, "I... This is all most alien to me Ichigo... I'm not sure I understand."

"It is alien to me as well, Sousuke," he murmured, using his full name for once, "But I cannot deny my instincts. Regardless, if you drugged me last night and my Inner Hollow didn't interfere then there must be something right about this. Because the drug wouldn't have affected him, Shiro would have been able to take over and stop you if he had deemed it wrong or dangerous."

"Well you did start to show signs, that is to say the black film on your sclera appeared but did not extend the whole way." he murmured.

"Then he did not interfere. I trust that Hollow more than I trust myself. He knows things, he's older than I am, accumulating several different lives from before he became part of me, he has wisdom that I don't have... I trust him to guide me as Zangetsu does." he shrugged.

The pair fell into silence for a few moments before the front door flew open and two angry invaders appeared in the destroyed front room.

Ichigo blinked in surprise, "Hello Urahara-san, Yoruichi-san... What can I do for you?" he asked.
