It's the end, guys... It's been a wonderful journey. I hope you all stick around for more. :)

A/N: W-welcome b-baack... *sobs*

Jared: Oh, what now?

Me: Jared... This is the only story I've ever finished! I DON'T WANT TO SEE IT GO.

Jared: *le sigh* Lar. Everything in its own time, remember? You have to end this so you can do something else.

Disclaimer: He has a point.

Me: *sniffle* I know... But I still don't want it to go! *sobs*

Jared: ...

Disclaimer: Larahna does not-

Me: I think they know by now I don't own Batman. *sobs*

Jared: Lar? Maybe doing the epilogue will make you feel better.

Me: I don't think so...

Jared: Let's just try, okay?

Me: Okay...

I've been dreading this day for a long time.

I have to return the Batgirl suit today.

Terry was in the hospital for two months, and they released him a month ago. I've loved being a super hero, but Terry's back to being Batman full time. I pushed my luck being Batgirl while Terry was back part time, but now it's time for my night life to end and just be Max again.

This is way harder than I thought it was gonna be.

"Hey, Max." Terry looks so normal leaning against the locker next to mine. I'm glad he's better, I really am. It's not his fault I have to stop something I love.

"Hey, Ter. What's up?" Even though I'm sad, I can still smile at my friend.

He looks around, then motions for me to follow him. We're in a big classroom. "Over here." He's pointing at a computer. Mine, actually.

I sit down and log the computer on. The only thing that pops up is a news report. I glance at Terry, who's grinning like an idiot. I click on it and the report begins.

"And in other news, a new hero appeared in Gotham just over three months ago! People are calling her Batgirl." They showed some footage of me taking out bad guys in style. "Since Bruce Wayne of Wayne-Powers appears to be connected to Batman, we asked if he'd be willing to give us an interview, and he agreed."

A vid recording of the interview began to play. It was a pretty boring interview, until the very end.

"One more question." Bruce looked tired.

A young college student was chosen, and he voiced his question. "Since Batgirl only appeared when Batman disappeared, does that mean, now that Batman's back, she'll be disappearing?"

"I don't know anything for sure," Bruce said as he motioned to a guy in a black suit, probably to go get his car, "but I get the feeling she'll be sticking around for a very long time."

"Hey, Bruce," Terry calls as he walks into the Batcave. "Here's your mail."

"I do have employees, Terry. I pay people to get my mail."

"Does that mean I'll get paid if I do it?" Terry asks with a grin.

"No." He's staring intently at something on the screen.

"Well, since I've got it, here you go." Terry sits it next to Bruce's elbow on the desk.

The older man flips through it, not caring about most of it, until he finds a plain white envelope. It has no return address, no postage, only his name on the front. He opens it slowly and carefully, knowing it could very well be boobytrapped.

A piece of paper and a small photograph fall onto the desk. The paper has very little on it, just "Best birthday present EVER."

Of course, when he looks at the picture and finds it's of Max wearing the Batgirl suit, he smiles.

Maybe this was a good birthday present to the both of them.

A/N: Are epilogues supposed to be short? Because if so, I fail.

Jared: They can be any length, I think.

Me: Yeah... *sobs*

Jared: Larahna! It's just a story!

Me: It's my first ever completed story! I don't want it to go!

Jared: You can read it whenever you want, it's on your iPod!

Me: *is sobbing too hard to hear Jared*

Jared: I'm gonna end the story, since Larahna seems incapable.

Me: MY BABY! *sobs more*

Jared: Okay... I'd like to thank everyone who reviewed or favorited or followed, it's much appreciated. Larahna will PM you some cookies when she's done sobbing her heart out. Until next time, guys. Be looking for the next story, Batman Beyond: Family of Bats.

See you guys later.
