A/N: Thank you to WhiteEnsigma, SugarTensai, FS'Briseis and Kurayami-9 for reviewing! It really means a lot that you are enjoying the story. I hope you enjoy the next chapter with Atobe… I am going to try to make him not too OOC, so bear with me and if I get it completely wrong, please let me know.

Chapter 9 – Army United

Once Fuji finally made it home, he closed himself off in his room. His heart was beating wildly and he couldn't seem to calm his breathing. That was not supposed to happen and he wasn't even sure why it had. There was only one thing to do now… confront Tezuka. Opening his eyes, he knew exactly when he would do it too. The other teen would not have the chance to run away claiming school or practice on Saturday; it would be the ideal time, and it would allow the tensai to gather his jumbled thoughts, "I'm coming for you, and you better have some good answers Kunimitsu."

A ringing sound could be heard echoing through the bedroom of a mansion located in Japan. Sighing, the teen picked it up and looked at the caller id… not a number he recognized, so there was no telling what this was in reference to, "Atobe speaking."

"Atobe, this is Inui Sadaharu of Seigaku…" the dataman stated and immediately heard a click, "We got disconnected." He dialed the number again and when the line was answered he said, "98.1% chance you will disconnect the call again, but I am calling to speak of Tezuka." He really hoped that the subject presented would be enough to draw the Hyotei captain in.

The name Tezuka was enough to make Atobe pause and want to listen to what the other teen had to say, "Ahn, you want to bask in the glow of Ore-sama? What about your precious Tezuka?" He didn't even ask how Inui got his phone number, or one of them, because what he knew of the data tennis player, that megane wearing teen could find and collect data from anywhere; so finding out a phone number wouldn't be difficult for him.

"I know that although you are rivals, you are also friends."

"You assume."

"94.5% according to my calculations."

"What do you want from Ore-sama?" Atobe asked getting mildly irritated by Inui. If he wasn't so curious about what this call had to do with Tezuka, he would have hung up again.

Explaining the entire situation to the young heir was a little awkward. Inui was basically asking Atobe to interfere in others' lives and help play matchmaker. Would the Hyotei king even agree to such terms? It was a chance that Inui had to take because his list of possible conspirators was short.

"So you believe Fuji would be happier with Tezuka, Sanada with Yukimura, and that the relationship between Tezuka and Yukimura is a falsehood. Does Ore-sama have that correct?"

"Hai!"

"So lock them in a room until they admit it. This is beneath Ore-sama."

"Wait!"

"Ahn, you deem to try to tell Ore-sama what to do? You who isn't even on my level? Ore-sama has heard you out and Ore-sama has told you what to do."

Inui was feeling a little on the desperate side, "They will not listen and they are not going to just admit their feelings. I have already tried that and it was a 100% failure. Fuji feels grateful and a sense of loyalty to Sanada, and Yanagi believes Sanada feels the same. Yukimura and Tezuka are dating to make the other two jealous enough to come back to them, but it is not working. If anything, it is driving them further away. If we do not act soon, there is an 82% chance that other problems will arise and there is a high probability that they will never get with the right people. Tezuka will go back to Germany and let Fuji fall through the cracks." There was one last trick up Inui's sleeve, "I know he is your rival and you want to play him again now that his arm is completely healed. If you do not help, there is a 99.1% chance of him returning to Germany and if that happens, you will not get your opportunity."

Narrowing his eyes at the wall before him, the dataman had a point that Atobe could not ignore. If Tezuka did not win Fuji, the bespectacled teen would probably leave and there went Atobe's chances, and Atobe really wanted to play Tezuka again. It was a matter of pride. The former buchou for the Seigaku team had become stronger since his arm had healed, that was more than evident at the National tournament and at the U-17 camp, and Atobe really wanted to play him, to see who was stronger… without hurting each other in the process. He knew Inui said that on purposed and it was a calculated risk by the other man, but it worked, "You have Ore-sama's cooperation. What do you want Ore-sama to do?"

Now that he had Atobe's attention, Inui knew he had to work fast. He had told Yanagi that they needed to meet with the heir together, but he wondered if that was even feasible at this moment. He had to try, and if Atobe didn't agree, then he would rework his request, "I am working with Yanagi Renji in order to bring about a solution to this problem. Do you have time to meet this weekend?"

Atobe brought up his calendar on his phone and then spoke, "Ore-sama has time Saturday afternoon, 3:00pm. You will have an hour. If Ore-sama deems your plan worthy, you will have additional time allotted."

"Arigato Atobe," Inui was breathing a sigh of relief.

"Come to Ore-sama's house this Saturday. It will insure that the meeting will not be overheard and seen. Ore-sama assumes you would like to keep this secret from the four victims."

"That is correct. We may have others that are willing to help and will be included in the plan."

"Yes, yes, they are invited to Ore-sama's house as well. They can all bask in Ore-sama's generosity."

Sweat dropping, Inui told himself that they needed Atobe for their plans because he could help them, even if he was a little full of himself, "Arigato, Atobe."

"3:00 on Saturday, and don't be late. Ore-sama's time is precious," Atobe replied and disconnected the phone before Inui could say anything. Smirking, he said aloud to himself, "What have you done now Tezuka? This will be a nice distraction if nothing else, and Tezuka will owe me a game after this."

Inui looked at the phone and shook his head, "He hung up. Well, at least we got the meeting and he is willing to help. Now we just need to come up with a plan or some ideas before Saturday, and I need to try to convince the others to help me, but that shouldn't be a problem… I hope." He decided it was probably best to talk to everyone outside of school first so that Fuji or Tezuka would not overhear and called the other three people on his list. If either found out what was going on behind their backs, Tezuka would make him run laps until his legs fell off, even if he wasn't the current captain, and Fuji… well he would rather not speculate what the tennis tensai would do to him or anyone else involved because that might be a rather painful experience. Kikumaru was on board as soon as Inui uttered the words "helping Fuji and Tezuka get together". Apparently, nothing else needed to be said. Yamato was a little more difficult, but he agreed that the two tennis players belonged together and agreed to do what he could. The final call was the one that Inui believed would be the more difficult out of the three, "Fuji Yuuta, this is Inui Sadaharu. I play tennis with your brother at Seigaku."

"I know who you are. You are the one that gathers the data. We were also in the same group at camp. What do you want?" Yuuta growled. He had just gotten back from a late practice that had not gone well when Mizuki showed up unannounced and tried to take over; however, since Yuuta was the captain now, he tried to push back, and let's just say it had not gone according to plan.

Yuuta had never been known for his patience, especially when it came to his brother or members of the Seigaku tennis team, so Inui knew he needed to talk fast, "Your brother is dating Sanada Genichiro of Rikkai Dai."

"I know that. So?"

"Tezuka is back and there is a 100% chance that your brother is still in love with him."

"So? What does this have to do with me?" Yuuta wasn't sure what the dataman was calling him about and he really wished Inui would get on with his explanation.

Clearing his throat, the bespectacled teen continued, "According to my data, Tezuka is currently dating Yukimura, but it is a farce in order to lure both your bother and Sanada towards them. Yukimura wants Sanada and Tezuka wants your brother."

"Inui, what do you need me for?"

"We would like your help to get Fuji with Tezuka."

"We?"

"I am working with Yanagi Renji of Rikkai Dai. We are also working to get Yukimura with Sanada."

"Won't they eventually all realize what they want and go after it?"

"Your brother is feeling a sense of loyalty towards Sanada for being there after Tezuka left in the middle of his confession. In addition, your brother does not believe Tezuka has feelings for him; however, my data says otherwise."

"So you want me to help breakup my brother and his boyfriend so that he can be with Tezuka?"

"Hai."

Yuuta knew how his brother felt about Tezuka and he also knew that it was stronger than anything the elder Fuji felt for Sanada. If what Inui said was true, then he could help his brother to be with the person he really wanted in his life and not just a stand in, "I'll help, but any backlash from aniki and you will be taking the heat… not me."

Inui swallowed hard. The only thing that gave him any kind of hesitation in concocting a plan at all was the threat of Fuji and his retribution, and add to that Yukimura and his own brand of retaliation, and well, they may be planning their own funerals instead of a celebration for a successful strategy. Yuuta would be safe from Fuji, but not necessarily from Yukimura; however, if Yukimura did anything to Yuuta, Fuji would probably kill him. So the younger Fuji might actually be in the clear… no one else was, and that might include Atobe. Adjusting his glasses, Inui finally responded, "Understood. We will be meeting at 3:00 at Atobe's house on
Saturday. Can you be there?"

"Just email me his address and I will be there," Yuuta agreed.

"Arigato, sayonara," Inui stated before both callers disconnected the line. Now that Inui had all of the participants lined up, he wondered how his partner was fairing with recruitment.

Instead of calling everyone individually, Yanagi held a conference call with only the necessary people on the line. There was a risk that Niou, being the trickster that he is, would play both sides of the fence, but that might actually work for their benefit. "You will notice that there are people missing from this call. There is a reason why only you select few have been contact."

"And what would that be? Puri," Niou questioned.

Yanagi stated, "You may or may not be aware of it, but Tezuka and Yukimura are now dating, and as you know Sanada and Fuji are currently dating."

Marui had heard about the latest relationship through the grapevine and it was no secret that Sanada was dating the Seigaku tensai, "What does that have to do with us?"

"What I am about to reveal could bring down the wrath of Yukimura on all of us. So you need to decide if you want to help set right some wrongs before I go further," the resident data master extoled.

Everyone was silent, and then Jackal asked, "What do you mean right some wrongs?"

"If you are willing to help and face Yukimura's consequences… if there are any, then stay on the phone, otherwise hang up now." He didn't hear anyone disconnect, but took roll call anyway, "Is everyone still there?"

"Hai," Yagyuu, Niou, Marui, and Jackal all said at the same time.

Smiling, Yanagi continued, "Everything we discuss is to be kept secret and does not get discussed with anyone not involved in the plan. Do you all understand?"

"Hai," they all said again.

Yagyuu inquired, "Yanagi-kun, what exactly is transpiring that you need our assistance?"

"Data shows that the relationship between Yukimura and Tezuka is a ploy to make Fuji and Sanada jealous. Sanada previous confessed to Yukimura and was turned down. Fuji started to confess to Tezuka, however, he was stopped in the middle of it and Tezuka left for Germany. He is back now, and based on calculations and research done by Inui of Seigaku, he came back for the sole purpose of being with Fuji. That is an impossibility though since Fuji is with Sanada. Yukimura denied Sanada even though he had feelings for our stoic fukubuchou and has since decided he wants him instead of letting Fuji have him. As you can see, all four people are with the wrong person. Inui and I have decided that we need to step in and correct the error, and our chances of success increase by 57.9% with additional help," Yanagi explained.

Chuckling, Niou spoke up, "So you want our help in order to coerce Yukimura and Sanada into dumping their current boyfriends and getting together? I never thought you had it in you Yanagi. Count me in! Puri." Regardless of the fact that his buchou tended to be a sadist and there was a level of danger in this plan, he would take it. All good plots had some risk.

"I will also help," Yagyuu stated.

"You need my genius skills in order to pull this off, tensai teki. And Jackal will help too," Marui proclaimed grinning.

Jackal shook his head and sighed, as long as Marui was his friend, he wouldn't get much say in what he did or did not participate in. The redhead was always volunteering him for stuff and this was no different. It didn't seem to matter that they would have the wrath of the Child of God upon them, but it looked as if everyone else was getting involved, and thus between the others and his cake eating friend, the bald tennis player didn't have much of a choice. "Yah, count me in too," he reluctantly conceded.

"Very well. I will inform you of our meeting time. We will be working with a team from Seigaku to make sure we have both sides covered. Thank you for your help," Yanagi said.

"Oi, do you know who we will be plotting with?" Marui probed.

The data master answered, "I believe Sadaharu was looking to recruit Kikumaru, Fuji Yuuta, Yamato, and Atobe."

"Atobe-san? Will he really help this endeavor?" Yagyuu inquired.

"We will see. Sadaharu was going to call him and attempt to set up a meeting time, but the calculations for success were fairly low," Yanagi replied.

Snickering, Niou asked, "Ne, aren't the Fuji brothers on bad terms though? Piyo."

"No, they made up at camp," Marui answered for the group, "We talked about it when we ran into each other at the bakery."

"As soon as I have the meeting time, I will pass on the information. Please remember to remain quiet about this entire conspiracy at school. You never know where Yukimura or Sanada will show up. Are there any more questions?" Yanagi told them and when everyone remained silent, he said, "Then I will see all of you at tennis practice in the morning." The call was ended and now all of the players were on the board for the Rikkai Dai side.

It was only a few minutes later that Yanagi received a text from his good friend and he found himself smiling, "Saturday it is then. Chances of success are now at 97.93%. Sanada, Yukimura, Fuji, and Tezuka will be with the right people at the end of all of this… or they should be."

Across Tokyo and the outlying areas four teens sneezed at the exact same time.
