The next day wasn't any better for the either one of the girls, Jade was snapping at everyone who looked at her all day. She even made poor Cat cry. Tori wasn't any better though she would never snap at anyone she did close herself off from everyone, even Andre. By the time lunch came around it was clear that something happened between the two girls.

Beck sighed and looked around the table, everyone was usually talking over one another but today it felt like they were all too afraid to speak around the moody teenagers.

"Ok what happened between you two?", he asked gesturing between Tori and Jade. This definitely caught their attention because both of their heads shot up from their trays.

"What? Why?", asked Tori trying to avoid looking at Jade.

"Well because the two of you have been avoiding each other all day, so whatever happened can you guys just squash it so we can all go back to being friends?", he asked completely oblivious to the actual problem.

Jade rolled her eyes, Beck was bugging her all day and it was starting to get under her skin.

"Nothing happened between Tori and I and even if it did I don't see how that's any of your business", she leveled her glare at Beck who sighed and and decided it be best to just drop the subject.

"Jade's right..nothing happened between us", Tori stated looking at Jade for the first time that day. "She's not worth me getting worked up over", and with that the young latina picked up her tray and walked away from the table.

Those words hit Jade hard, she obviously understood the meaning behind them and the young goth quickly picked up her bag. "I gotta go find a trash can". She quickly rushed away from the rest of the group.

"Ok did I miss something?", asked a confused Andre as he looked at the spot where Jade once sat.

In the hallways

Jade entered the hallway just as Tori was closing her locker, the two teenagers quickly locked eyes in the empty hallway.

"I didn't get any sleep last night", Jade said as Tori just stared at her doing her best to mask her emotions.

"I don't see how that is my problem Jade", she tried to ignore the crack in her voice. Tori refused to go down this road again. So she held her books to her chest tighter and tried to walk around Jade, only to have the girl step into her way again.

"Will you please just talk to me", Jade hated the fact that she couldn't stand Tori being angry with her. She hated how weak it made her but in that moment she couldn't care less.

"There is nothing to talk about Jade..you made your choice and it's time for me to move it", Tori replied looking anywhere but her face.

The thought of Tori moving on with someone else just didn't sit right with Jade, "what if I don't want you to move on?" she asked tentatively.

Tori looked her dead in the eye, "I don't care", and with that she stepped around Jade and started walking to her next class.

Jade flexed her fingers and took deep breathes as she tried to keep her emotions in check, Tori was making it really hard for her and she knew that she deserved it. Because if anyone else had to talked to her like that she would have had them castrated a long time ago, not even Beck can talk to her like that without risking getting punched in the throat.
