Author's notes: Hey! Look! Another chapter! Nice... Anyways, like I said this I hope will have interesting parts. It just depends on whether I fall asleep typing this or not... Enjoy!
Everyone started to panic. Stalls were overturned, people were running blindly searching for a place to hide, children were looking for parents, even looters began to pick up the fallen goods. I ran as fast as I could back to my house, running as fast as my little legs could carry me.
Once I got inside I shut the door and locked it. I went to every window and closed the blinds and locked them. I grabbed some food from my kitchen, I didn't know how long I would have to hide. As I made my way upstairs a thought crossed my mind. 'They can smell food...' I sighed, I quickly made my way back to the kitchen and put all the food in the right spot. I then went upstairs to my room, locked the door, and sat in the darkest corner in my room. Not that the dark would matter in the end.
I sat there for what seemed like an hour, not moving, hardly breathing. I got the courage to get up and peek, so I ever so slightly opened the blind a tiny bit and peek outside. I instantly regretted it, the first thing I was greeted with was torn limbs of dragons, cheetahs, and all sorts of other races littering the streets. I quickly looked away and closed the blind, I made my way back to my corner and curled up in a ball, breathing heavily. 'People are dead, they broke through, I'm going to die.' I said to myself, 'What if I'm the only one left? What if they are right outside my door waiting for me to try and leave?' I asked as I looked at my door hesitantly. I tucked my head under one of my wings and started to shake a bit. I'm not sure why, but somewhere deep inside me was telling me to stand up and check on Trae's house. He may hate me, but that doesn't mean he should be like me. He shouldn't have no family.
I shakily got up and walked to my bedroom door. I looked at it for a good minute before slowly opening it, half expecting a Ravager to leap into the room and eat me alive. No Ravager came, I sighed in relief and slowly walked down stairs. Every time the stairs would creak I would stop and cringe. After ten, awful minutes on the stairs got to my front door. I opened it slightly and peaked through the crack I made with it. The body parts were still in the road. I opened it slowly and walked out, carefully closing it. I then quickly ran down the street until I was at Trae's door, knocking on it quietly, but still loud.
When no one answered I was a bit scared, 'They could be dead or hiding, but if I don't find cover soon I will be dead.' I thought as I turned around and looked left and right. Not a single soul was in sight. Not even the houses looked occupied.
The door suddenly opened the behind me, but before I could yelp and turn around I was grabbed from behind, a paw keeping my maw shut. I saw a blue tail close the door and I was tucked under a wing, the sound of stairs creaking was audible. When I was brought out from the wing I was staring right at Trae's parents.
Before I could say anything Trae's mother spoke. "What the hell were you doing!" She whispered. "You could've gotten us all killed!"
I looked down, she was right. "I... I wanted to make sure you guys were ok." I whispered.
"Why aren't you at the school with the others?" Trae's father asked.
"I didn't go." I answered.
Both parents sighed. "Why aren't you with your dad?" The female asked.
I looked up at them with tear filled eyes. "Because he's dead." I said as I began to cry softly.
A wing quickly wrapped around me and pulled me close to a rather warm body. "Shhhh, shhh, its ok. Its ok." The feminine voice cooed softly.
"Are you sure he's dead?" Trae's father asked.
I was going to give them the whole story, but my voice got caught in my throat when he heard a loud bang downstairs followed by a loud screech.
Author's notes: And I lied... Not as interesting as I envisioned it, but at least it led up to an interesting part. Truth is, I would've continued but I'm tired... Sooo... Night!
Until next time!
