(A/n) Yes, Yes. I know I'm a horrible person for making you all wait this long. Without further ado, here is your chapter. (A/n)

"GoGo, are you sure we should be doing this? I mean, for all we know, Tadashi might not want to see us either." Wasabi said.

It had been a week since the events at Krei Tech and Tadashi had not contacted them at all. At the moment, GoGo, Wasabi, and Fred were headed towards the Lucky Cat Café, hoping to knock some sense into Tadashi after the incident with Honey Lemon.

"He needs to stop moping! And what he said to Honey was over the top! I get that he was angry, but that doesn't give him the right to completely shoo her away!" GoGo replied.

They entered the Lucky Cat Café. Aunt Cass noticed them right away and soon hurried over to them.

"Tadashi's upstairs if you want to see him." She said.

"Okay. Thank you." Wasabi said as Aunt Cass got back to work.

The three friends headed upstairs and into the apartment area that the Hamada family lived in.

"There's someone coming." They heard as they climbed the stairs to Tadashi's bedroom. The voice sounded like Hiro's.

"Don't worry. It's probably just Aunt Cass." Tadashi replied.

"It sounds like more than one person."

"I doubt Aunt Cass would let any non-friendly individuals into our home."

"But what if it is someone here to hurt me? What if they take me? What if…"

"Hey hey. Calm down. Nobody's going to take you. Never again."

GoGo and Wasabi exchanged unsure looks. Fred went ahead and knocked on the door.

"Come in." Tadashi called softly.

The three friends entered the room to see Hiro sitting on his bed, clutching Tadashi's arm. Tadashi seemed to have just stood up. He took a step forward in an attempt to greet them, but was unable to reach them due to the weight of his brother holding him back.

"Tadashi, explain. Now." GoGo said.

"Not here. I'll explain downstairs." Tadashi replied, glancing at Hiro, who shook his head, eyes wide. The elder Hamada gently tugged his arm out of the younger's grasp. "Hiro, I'll be right back."

Tadashi led his friends downstairs. As GoGo left the room, she risked a glance over her shoulder. Hiro looked somewhat lost without Tadashi standing next to him. She wrinkled her brow. That was not the Hiro she remembered.

In the kitchen, Tadashi turned to face Wasabi, GoGo, and Fred.

Wasabi spoke before Tadashi could get a word out. "So how long have you known he was… you know… alive?"

"About a week." Tadashi replied.

"What happened to him? He's not the same kid we met at the lab or the same kid who presented those microbots." GoGo said, crossing her arms.

"You're right. Callaghan really did a number on him." Tadashi sighed.

"Callaghan?" Wasabi questioned.

"Yeah. He kidnapped Hiro and pretty much tortured him half to death. The doctors say he has Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder." Tadashi informed them. "He's more afraid now than he was when he first got home. I guess the effects didn't hit immediately."

"PTSD? It must've been really bad." Fred said.

"It was." Tadashi agreed. "I don't know the full details of what Callaghan did to him, but he's constantly waking up with nightmares about it. I'm worried about him."

"You have a right to be." GoGo said. "Poor kid must've been through a lot to be reduced to… that."

Tadashi winced at her candor. He looked away and changed the topic. "I regret what I said to Honey Lemon."

"Good." GoGo said. "You should."

"I just… she knew more about the situation than we did and acted accordingly. I didn't even give her a chance to explain…" Tadashi murmured.

"From what I heard, Honey Lemon can hold a nasty grudge, despite her cheerful personality." Wasabi said. "Sorry, dude, but you won't be hearing from her for a while."

"Actually, if I tell my aunt I'm leaving the house and walk out, she'll be here in ten to fifteen minutes." Tadashi said. "I saw her exiting the café once when I came back from the grocery store."

"Why would she do that?" Wasabi asked.

"She apparently does it so she can avoid me while still checking on Hiro. And my aunt's in on it." Tadashi frowned. "I wish I could just make up with her. I've tried to apologize, but every time I come near, she walks away."

"Dashi?" The four turned to see Hiro at the bottom of the steps, holding onto the railing in order to keep his balance.

"Hiro, you should be in bed." Tadashi scolded gently.

Hiro let go of the railing and almost immediately crumbled. Tadashi rushed over and caught him.

"I didn't want to be alone." Hiro said quietly, looking up at his brother's face from his position in his arms. "What if someone came up there?"

Tadashi sighed and turned to his friends. "I need to take care of Hiro, guys. I'll text you later."

GoGo, Wasabi, and Fred exchanged glances before making their exit, looking over their shoulders more than once.

Tadashi helped Hiro halfway up the stairs, before picking him up and carrying him the rest of the way.

"I'm going to get you some more food and water, okay? I'll be right back." Tadashi said after tucking the young teen in.

Hiro gave a small nod to show his consent. He turned the television, which had been brought up to his and Tadashi's room a few days before, on after Tadashi went back downstairs. The news was rambling on about the 'Big Hero 6' again. The anchor announced that the trial date had been set for the criminal the Big Hero 6 had stopped, no names given. Hiro shivered at the thought. The police had requested Hiro come to the trial and he wasn't looking forward to it. Facing Callaghan again was not on his bucket list. Aunt Cass and Tadashi had promised to come with him. Honey Lemon had also promised to be in the room, somewhere in the audience.

The remote was taken gently from his hand and the television turned off a few minutes later.

"Watching the news isn't going to make you feel better or help you recover, Hiro." Tadashi said.

Hiro lowered his head. Tadashi lifted it with one finger.

"Hey. It's okay. Nobody's going to hurt you. Not as long as I'm around." He promised.

Hiro nodded again and started nibbling at the food Tadashi had brought him. He heard the bed creak as Tadashi sat down.

"Do you want to talk about it?"

Hiro shook his head at the question. No. He didn't want to talk about it. That was the last thing he wanted to do.

Unfortunately, he was going to have to at the trial.

"Well, I'll be over on my side of the room if you need me." Hiro didn't look up as Tadashi left the bed and crossed to his side of the room. His mind was still on the trial and what he'd have to say and do. What if he messed up? Or wasn't believed? What if Callaghan wasn't found guilty of his crimes and was allowed to roam free? He shivered at the thoughts.

He just hoped everything would turn out all right.

(A/n) Next chapter will most likely be up sooner. I've got ideas for that one. No promises about update time, though. (A/n)
