What Minako had meant for her secret place was actually an old shrine. Haruka knew the place as she always passed it everytime she went to Minako's house. The shrine was very old but Minako had told her that the place was very famous of its fortunetelling.

Haruka groaned when they both reached the top. There were like hundreds of steps to climb before they could reach the place. Haruka took a deep breath as her eyes were observing the shrine gate. Minako led her to sit down below a very big tree.

"Wait here, I'll go to call my friend." Minako said and took off before Haruka managed to say anything. The blonde had no idea that Minako had a friend in place like this.

Few minutes later, Minako came back with someone in her tow. Her perky friend brought a priestess girl. Haruka blushed as she realized how beautiful the priestess was.

"Haruka, this is Hino Rei. Rei, this is Tenoh Haruka. She is my friend." Minako introduced them both. Awkwardly, Haruka offered to shake hand which was accepted gracefully by the miko. There were particular feelings when their hands met.

"Nice to meet you, Tenoh-san." The raven haired miko said. Haruka caught a very sincere feeling from the amethyst eyes. She replied it with a nod. "Nice to meet you too."

Minako being the one who cut off their interaction, "Now, Rei... I'm sorry with the sudden visit, but Haruka needed a place to -"

"Hide. I know." Rei completed Minako's sentence. She smiled and looked back at Haruka's direction. The 2 blonde were about to ask how she could've known about it but Rei beat them in it.

"I've seen your arrival in my fire yesterday. In addition, you seem to be a person who loves to run, Tenoh-san." The miko smiled.

Haruka was amazed, Minako in the other hand didn't seem to be surprised.

"Let's come in, you look tired. How about drinks?"

"Coke for me!" Minako raised her hand in excitement. They both followed Rei into the shrine.

Once they were settled with their drinks, Haruka's curiosity peaked up as she stared at the raven haired priestess. She couldn't help but ask.

"Ahm... excuse me, but... you mentioned about fire earlier. That you've seen our arrival here before..."

"Yes."

"Are you by chance can see the future?"

Minako choked her drinks, "WHAT? Rei, you can see future?"

Haruka looked at her friend, bewildered, "I thought she is your friend?" Minako only blinked, Haruka realized that her friend was a slow person.

Rei chuckled, amused with the situation before her.

"For your question, I cannot see... rather I was shown by fire itself. I cannot choose which one I want to see, they simply show me a certain event and it will be up to me to do the rest."

Haruka and Minako listened to her like 10 years old.

Rei left out the part that she could actually see into people's soul. The priestess looked carefully to Haruka whom she interested. Never had she witnessed such a soul.

"You are searching." Rei said after a while. Minako had left to her home when her mother called reminded her how late was it. Now, Haruka was sitting on the porch while enjoying the moon. Or so it would seem. Her mind actually was wandering to the event earlier in hospital.

"What?" Her daydream shattered upon the miko's presence. Haruka scooted to the side so the priestess could join her on the porch. Rei gracefully sat beside her with her legs folded like in Japanese style sitting.

"Your mind is searching something but you don't aware of it."

Haruka frowned, usually she would hate riddles but this woman's way to talk had sense affected on her.

"Do I?" Haruka smiled, her gaze was back on the full moon above.

"Eventually you would come to face it. Whatever or whomever you are hiding from. The question is why you are hiding?"

Haruka shook her head, she disliked this kind of talk. "I don't know. Maybe I'm scared."

At that time Haruka felt the miko's hand went to touch her face. She could feel the tips of her fingers that very warm and gentle. The miko tilted Haruka's face so the blonde would look at her direction.

"You are not afraid, Tenoh-san." She said clearly. Haruka felt those amethyst eyes were absorbing her soul as she sank deeper on that pair of eyes.

"You are hiding because you're hurt. It's only fair for a wounded to retreat and given a time to lick the wounds until it heals." Rei smiled.

"If you allow me, I can help you with the later."

With that, the miko caught Haruka's lips with her own.

Michiru ran, she did the fastest run in her life. She had tripped and her knees had kissed the concrete pavement on the side of the street. She didn't care. She had abandoned her heels in order to run faster. To the hospital. To her Haruka.

Haruka. Haruka. Michiru repeated to call Haruka's name like a mantra.

When she reached the hospital's entrance, the famous violinist had ripped her stockings and bled her knees. Her appearance was messed up but she ignored people's stare as she pressed the elevator's button. She frantically almost scrambled on Haruka's room when she opened it.

But she met only an empty bed. Her heart dropped like it had stopped beating. Michiru grabbed the nearest nurse in her reach.

"Where is she?! Where is the patient in this room?" Michiru barely formed a question to the perplexed nurse.

"I- I don't know maam, you can ask the nurse in charge for the patient." The nurse was surprised and then worried after she took in Michiru's appearance.

"You are bleeding," She pointed out Michiru's leg. "I advise you to go to the ER to get that treated."

Michiru didn't listen. She looked around until she spotted a nurse that had injected Haruka earlier.

"Where is the patient? Tenoh Haruka, where is she?"

"Ah... she has signed herself out after she woke up. She did it against our advice, of course." After that, the nurse dismissed herself, leaving a broken and confused Michiru in the hallway.

"She is gone... she-she is gone," Michiru whispered. Her hands held her head as her legs were giving up. The violinist sank on the floor. The people around her heard her letting out a painful cry.

Michiru helplessly evoked her conversation with Setsuna in the car.

"But. tell me, Michiru... did I play it right?"

Michiru widened her eyes. No... No...

"You-you don't understand a thing, do you?" Michiru said with accusing tone. "Of course you don't, you hardly listen to me."

"What?"

"You ask me whom I love. Which Haruka I love... Setsuna... from many people I thought that you would understand me." Michiru desperately chuckled. "However you don't get me, not a tiny bit."

"You treat Haruka like you treated Haruka onii-san."

By the name, Michiru went quiet. They had been avoiding to mention the name ever since that day.

"Because that's how I treat people I love!" Michiru exploded.

"They can be the same until their core Setsuna, but the love I have for Onii-san is different than the love I have for Haruka! You never get it." Michiru took off her seatbelt and opened the door. She left the stunned Setsuna inside the car. Her destination now was her Haruka.

Michiru hadn't realized when the downpour started. She was surprised when she fel cold and had drenched her clothes all over. She was standing in front of Haruka's apartment door.

She pressed the bell for like a hundredth times. She would stay forever if that necessary until Haruka would open the door for her. She didn't search for forgiveness as she didn't want to back down in loving the blonde.

"Oh my..." Michiru spun over to spot a woman by the stairs. The woman seemed about in her 40 and was carrying a folded black umbrella on her left hand. "You are soaked and... oh, are you okay?" The woman dug up her purse and gave out Michiru her handkerchief.

"Are you here to see Haruka?" The woman asked, Michiru's eyes wondered who the woman would be. Her face was not new, she had seen her somewhere before.

"I want to meet her too, I listened to the voice mail the other day and directly go to see her condition." She sighed and waiting by the door.

"Who are you?" Michiru asked, she wanted to be friendly but her mood didn't help her to do it.

"You don't remember me... it's been a long time, Kaioh Michiru..." the woman said.

"However I never had a chance to introduce myself as I was too ashamed to meet you."

Michiru observed her more but no recollection from her memories were willing to pop up.

"My name is Sora, Sora Tenoh. I am Haruka's mother and also the pregnant woman whom he had saved 16 years ago."

.

Haruka automatically pushed away the miko. She wiped her lips with sleeves of her shirt, Haruka saw that the miko did the same. She was still smiling although this one was less sincere than before.

"I apologize, Tenoh-san. I should have reminded you first beforehand that your heart belong to other as well as mine. Excuse my rudeness but I don't have hidden intention but to heal your wounded soul. The contact was necessary to do so."

Haruka took the information half baked, but it was enough. "Wait... you just kissed me and you said that you heal my soul?"

"It hasn't healed as I found I can't do it." Rei seemed troubled with the fact.

"If you are not a priestess I'm sure you are very good at deceiving people." Haruka huffed but she knew deep down, the woman who always talking formally and wore the miko uniform like her would have very least possibility to lie.

"You may not believe me, Tenoh-san... however you possess a kind of soul that normal people don't."

"So, am I a freak?"

"No, I mean that your soul was cursed."

Haruka went quiet, that type of information she did understand.

"If you allow me to repeat that procedure, I would capable to tell what kind of curse was casted on your soul. Your soul, like not many others, appear to be half form. I don't know where the other half is, but one thing I certain that it has been severed long time ago."

"You want to kiss me again?" Haruka only got that part.

"If you allow me," Rei spoke carefully.

"Is this your scheme to get your way to kiss me? Because, seriously..." Haruka chuckled but then her smile dropped when she saw how serious the miko.

"I shall repeat, Tenoh-san. My heart belongs to other, as well as yours."

Haruka gave up, "Okay... okay... if you kiss me, what will happen?"

Rei revived from her sitting position. "The worst case that you would remember several events... my intention is for you to regain strength... to protect and find what is important for you."

"I don't understand..." Haruka got up, she followed Rei to what appear as a dojo. There was a burning flame in the middle of the room.

"I'll help you to find your way."

"To find my way..." Haruka repeated. "To where?"

Rei looked back at her. The amethyst eyes were reflecting the fire before them.

A voice in Haruka's head echoed, find my way to you.
