"Opening night! It's opening night! Oh my God, I can't believe it's opening night!"
Kurt ran back and forth with his hands buried in his normally perfectly coiffed hair. He darted from one end of the front row to the other, his eyes wide with anticipation. Finn watched his brother with amusement from his place next to his stepfather and mother.
"I think Kurt is freaking out more than Rachel is," Finn murmured. Really, Kurt was freaking out enough for all of them, so Finn didn't even have time to be nervous for his wife (it wasn't even like Finn had to be nervous anyway, because he knew that Rachel would be amazing).
Carole was fretting as well, and Kurt's spaz attack wasn't really helping matters. "Have you checked on Rachel? How is she doing? Is she alright?"
Finn had actually just come from Rachel's dressing room. She wasn't freaking out, but Finn knew his wife. He could tell that she was nervous and trying her best not to show it. So Finn had sat in the room with Rachel and simply held her until she had to get ready to get on stage. Naturally, they had seats in the front row.
"Hummel, sit the hell down," Puck ordered. "You're making my kid freak out." Beth was perched on Quinn's lap and watching Kurt pace and back in forth with wide eyes. When Kurt didn't listen, Santana and Puck both forced Kurt into a seat next to Blaine.
Santana shoved a finger in Kurt's face. "Sit down and shut up, Lady Hummel."
Kurt opened his mouth to respond, but then Blaine reached over and slapped his hand over his boyfriend's mouth. Kurt made a disgruntled noise but otherwise quieted down. Taking advantage of Kurt's reluctant silence, Santana started teasing him and poking him. At least that would keep him distracted until the show actually started.
Puck cast a sidelong glance at Finn. Checking to make sure that no one was paying attention to their conversation, he asked, "It's secure back there, right?"
Finn nodded his head and did a quick double check of his surroundings. Finding nothing out of place, he said, "Everything is set up back there. Rachel has a security guard posted outside of her door, even though she thinks he's just there to keep an eye on things."
Puck snorted. "If she found out he was one of your buddies, she'd blow a gasket."
"Oh yeah," Finn agreed. Given that they had been so close to the opening of Rachel's show, Finn hadn't wanted to alarm her, so he had kept the information about the Howard brothers to himself. Once the euphoria of opening night had worn off, Finn was going to tell her. She had to know so that she could be on the lookout, but there was no use in stressing her out.
Finn knew how important this was to her. Since before they even met, Rachel had been auditioning for roles. She had quite a few supporting parts, but this was the very first time she had a lead. More than that, it was a lead in an original Broadway show. It had already got a lot of buzz already, and Rachel couldn't have been more thrilled.
At any rate, Finn had done a very thorough check of Rachel's dressing room and the surrounding area. It wasn't exactly the most secure place in the world, and it would be ridiculously easy to break into, but Finn was confident in his friend's ability to be a guard. Rachel was under the impression that he was just a regular security guard stationed there by the theater. She had no idea what the guard's true purpose was.
Finn couldn't think about that anymore, however. The lights in the theater went low and the audience instantly grew silent. Finn settled into his chair, unable to keep the grin off his face when his wife appeared in the center of the stage.
Rachel wasn't surprised that she immediately found herself engulfed in Finn's arms the second she exited the stage. It had been a ritual of theirs since they started dating. The final curtain went down and then Finn headed backstage to meet Rachel. It was one of her favorite things and it made her fall a little bit more in love with Finn Hudson every time.
She squealed excitedly and could hardly stay still. Jumping up and down in Finn's arms, Rachel kissed any part of his face that she could reach. Finn's strong arms wrapped around her petite body, holding her to him.
"Oh my gosh, Finn! That was so amazing! Did you see that? I thought that we were all pretty great! I mean, obviously, my solos were some of the main highlights. But I must say that we are a very superb cast, and we—"
Finn could only laugh as he tried to keep up with Rachel's excited jabbering. She gestured wildly, talking with her hands. Finn had to duck when she almost hit him the face, and Rachel stopped, giving him a sheepish smile.
"Oops," Rachel said with a giggle.
Finn rolled his eyes playfully and hauled his wife against him. Honestly, Finn didn't think his wife knew how adorable and incredibly sexy she was all at the same time. "I'll show you oops," he murmured, bending to kiss her neck. He lightly bit down and Rachel had to stifle a gasp. Sometimes, it was hard to remember that she was in a public place with her husband. Really, all she wanted to do was have her way with him.
"Oh really?" Rachel said in response. Finn picked his head up and saw that her eyes were dark with lust and the love that was always present. She took his hand and began to tow him along—presumably back to her dressing room. "Why don't you show me, then?"
Rachel barely paused to give her costars a smile before she shoved Finn into her dressing room and locked the door behind them. She was still in her costume from the show, which was nothing more than a lacey little slip. She leaned against the door, waiting for Finn to make a move. Because if he didn't do it soon, she would.
Thankfully, Rachel didn't have to wait very long. Finn tugged her against him, covering her mouth with his in a deep, hot kiss. His tongue stroked against hers, making Rachel moan loudly as she rubbed her body against his. Finn's large hands slipped under her costume and rested on her behind. A growl escaped his lips when he realized that she was wearing a lacey, barely-there thong (she had to make sure that there weren't any panty lines with her costume, after all).
Finn hiked up the costume, pulling it up and over her head. Rachel yanked his dress shirt from his pants, fumbling with the buttons as she tried to reach his chest. As soon as she pushed the shirt from his shoulders, Finn lifted her up, his strong hands holding her under her thighs. Rachel legs wrapped around his waist, and she fit her center against his hardness. A gasp escaped her lips at the sensation, and she pressed her mouth to Finn's in a demanding kiss.
Finn spun and set her on the vanity without breaking the kiss. Rachel's hands stroked down his chest, across his abdomen, and to his belt buckle. While Finn's lips moved down her neck, she pulled his belt from his pants and pushed them down. Finn yanked Rachel's bra down, his lips moving over her collarbone and down the soft curve of her breast. His teeth tugged at her nipple and Rachel's hand clawed down his back.
A pleasure-filled wailed tore from Rachel's lips and she arched her back, gripping the edge of the vanity. Finn's free hand moved between her legs, stroking at the lacey material of her thong. It was already soaked through, his fingers slipping as Rachel tried to press her hips closer.
"God, Rach," Finn groaned. She was always ready for him—then again, he was always ready for her, too. His fingers stroked her for a few moments, but he proved to be too impatient. Finn's fingers curled around the thin straps of her thong and he tore it off.
Rachel was even more turned on by Finn's quick, purposeful movements. Through the haze of want, lust, and love, she had enough presence of mind to push Finn's dark green boxer briefs down. She was so ready for him, and she didn't want to wait any longer.
Finn surprised her when he lifted one of her feet, extending her leg. He kissed her ankle, biting down playfully before he adjusted her leg so that her calf was over his shoulder. Catching on to his idea, Rachel lifted her other leg and put it to the corresponding shoulder. With one quick, smooth motion, Finn pulled Rachel's hips to his.
Rachel nearly screamed at the feeling of Finn inside her. His strokes were quick and deep, his hands wrapped around Rachel's hips to keep her steady. Rachel threw her head back, moving against Finn with an up and down motion. She gripped his forearms, her fingernails digging into his skin as her eyes drifted shut.
"Oh! Finn!" Rachel's moans and shouts of pleasure were getting increasingly louder the closer she got. Finn's hips snapped against her, his thrusts growing quickly and more erratic. He reached under Rachel's behind, lifting her up to bring her closer.
Rachel bit down hard on her bottom lip to stop herself from screaming. Her toes curled with almost unbearable, white-hot pleasure and her orgasm hit her suddenly, surprising her. "Oh!" she gasped breathlessly.
Finn's hips jerked against Rachel's and then he spilled into her, holding her to him tightly. He moved his large hands from her bottom, stroking them over her back. Rachel shivered at the feeling of his calloused fingertips against her skin. Aware that this position might not be very comfortable for Rachel now that her energy was spent, Finn carefully moved her legs from over his shoulders.
Rachel rested her head back against the mirror attached to her vanity and closed her eyes. Her body was pleasantly sore and she felt completely satisfied and utterly at peace with Finn's arms wrapped around her. Rachel let herself enjoy the feeling of her body floating.
It wasn't long before Rachel felt Finn's lips moving over the exposed skin of her throat. Rachel's eyes slowly opened, and Finn lifted his head to smile at her. Rachel's fingers stroked over his back and he made a noise of appreciation.
Eventually, Finn stood up fully and pulled Rachel forward with him. He kissed her gently and then said, "I guess we should get going. Mom and Dad want to take us all out for drinks to celebrate."
"Oh, alright!" Rachel said. She might have forgotten that all of their family and friends were waiting for them outside of her dressing room. Unable to resist, Rachel kissed her husband again before she began to search for her clothes.
Rachel found the thong that Finn had ripped off of her in pieces on the floor. Holding the lacey scraps up, Rachel cleared her throat until Finn looked up at her. Seeing what Rachel was holding, Finn gave his wife a sheepish look. Even so, a smirk formed on his lips and he shrugged his shoulders unapologetically.
Rachel shook her head in annoyance when she heard her cousin badgering her. Ignoring him, she left them on the stage and ran back into her dressing room. She had accidently forgotten her purse—though she couldn't say that it was her fault. Finn had distracted her a bit before they had gone to meet their family and friends.
"Hurry the hell up, Berry!" Puck yelled. "I'm hungry!"
Rolling her eyes at her cousin, Rachel continued to head towards her dressing room. She could hear Quinn berating her husband for being impatient, and Rachel laughed out loud. She probably should hurry up just so their group wouldn't maim Puck (or Kurt) for pestering them.
Still laughing, Rachel pulled the key top her dressing room from her pocket. Going to unlock the door, she furrowed her brow when she realized that it was already unlocked. Not thinking too much of it, Rachel pushed the door open and ran in. Finding her purse next to the door, Rachel quickly scooped it up. This time, she made sure that the door to her dressing room was locked when she left
"Got it?" Finn asked when Rachel returned to the group. He wrapped his arm around her shoulders, and she smiled up at him and stood on her tiptoes to kiss his cheek.
"I've got it," she said. "And Finn, do you remember if I locked the door or not?"
The large group finally left the theater, with Puck grumbling that it had taken them long enough. But Finn caught his eye and saw the look of concern on Puck's face—he was only putting on a show to distract from Rachel's disturbing question.
"I thought you locked it," Finn said as nonchalantly as he could manage. In fact, given that there needed to be increased security around all of them, Finn specifically remembered waiting until Rachel locked her dressing room door before they left.
Rachel shrugged her shoulders. "Hmm, well, it was unlocked when I got there. I guess we both just forgot." Unconcerned, she moved ahead to catch up with Kurt and Blaine to once again go over the details of the show. Quinn handed a sleepy Beth to Carole, who was more than happy to take her. She left her husband's side to join Kurt, Blaine, and Rachel, allowing Puck to fall back with Finn.
"The door was unlocked?" Puck repeated.
Finn's jaw locked, and he forced it open so he could talk. "Apparently," he grumbled. This was the last thing they needed right now. Given the nature of their job, Finn had a hard time believing in coincidence. He had a feeling that the unlocked door to Rachel's dressing room was anything but.
Now we're getting somewhere!
