Alright big chapter. Hope this makes up for the last one.

Hābā = Harbor (According to Google Translator, liked the name so I'm sorry if this disturbs anyone)

…...

Naruto woke up feeling refreshed. He noticed that the sun was shining brightly outside,

'Shit did we sleep through the whole night?' he thought to himself as he looked at his friends. Hinata and Sasuke were still sleeping. Naruto got up from the sleeping mat and quietly left the room.

'I should check if there is an equipment store, so that we can buy some supplies and Hinata extra clothes.'

Naruto left the inn and walked down the street checking if there was a store when he met Ayaka.

"Good morning, Naruto-san." She greeted him with a smile.

"Morning." He waved to her.

"You're up early. Is there something you have to take care of?" Naruto stopped and looked at her.

"Actually, I need to find a store of some sorts. We need to buy supplies and clothes before we leave."

"There is a general store and a weapons store down the street." She pointed towards the general direction.

"Thanks." Naruto said and went where she pointed.

He took a look inside the general store and saw that they were selling food and clothes.

'Hinata can take care of that later, she is the one who needs clothes.'

Naruto went inside the weapons store to purchase a few kunais and similar basic weapons he and Sasuke had used. He entered the store and saw that nobody was in there.

'Well, it said open outside so I guess it's okay for me to come in.' Naruto checked the various weapons before he grabbed three knife kits and went up to the counter to pay.

"Hey is anybody in here? I want to buy some shit!" Naruto called out since there still was nobody else in the store.

"A second please." Said a voice that came from another room behind the counter. An old man exited the room dressed in gray clothes. He had a huge gray beard and a scar running diagonally across his face. He looked at Naruto and then at the items the blonde wanted to buy.

"Preparing for a journey, young man?" The old man asked as he checked the weapons on quality.

"Something like that, yeah." Naruto answered as he took a look at a few staffs next to the counter.

"You're headed west?"

"Probably. I don't know yet."

"If keep on going west you'll get to Hābā." The old man said as he wrote down the prices of the items to add them up.

"Hābā?"

"The biggest harbor city in the western outskirts of the Land of Fire. The last stop before leaving this country."

"Which country borders the Land of Fire there?" Naruto asked as he watched the man pack the items in bag.

"No country. The sea. The sea that divides us from the west." The old man mumbled. "That will be 500 ryou, please." He handed Naruto the bag. Naruto got out the money from his wallet and took the bag.

"What did you mean with 'the west'?" Naruto asked the man.

"You don't know about it? The west?" Naruto shook his head in the negative. The old man smirked a bit.

"The sailors talk about a mysterious, brutal land in the west. Apparently there is no system like we have here, that means no hidden villages. Some even say ninjas do not exist over there." Naruto's eyes widened. "But still the people there are supposed to be brutal and strong in their way of fighting. Just completely different then what we know from here."

"You expect me to believe that across the sea there is another kind of civilization?"

"I personally like to see it as the same as we have here. Only with out the restrictions given us by others." The old man scratched his beard. "For me the west symbolizes freedom. Freedom to do what ever you want to do."

Naruto was unsure if he should believe that guy.

"Have you ever been to the west?" the blonde asked.

"Sadly no. The sea diving us is harsh and untamable. That's why the west is only something we old men and the sailors talk about."

"I see. Well thanks for the story old man, but I got to go."

"No matter what you should go to Hābā, there you can get way better stuff than here."

"I'll think about it." Naruto waved and left the store.

'Well, even though this mysterious 'west' sounds promising, I thing that old man was either crazy or bored. Probably both.' Naruto thought to himself amused. He made his way back to the inn when he passed the hospital and Ayaka again who was outside sweeping the hospital entrance.

"Hey Ayaka-san, is the old guy at the weapons store perhaps a bit, you know, crazy?" Naruto asked and Ayaka looked at him confused.

"Not really. Why? What did he tell you?" She asked back confused.

"Not much really. He was just talking about a mysterious land called the west or some bullshit."

"Ah that." She said and waved Naruto off. "Before he moved here he used to work as a sailor. He told us he got his scar from over there. But no one ever confirmed that there actually is another land there, so I wouldn't care about that at all."

"I see. Well it was an interesting story at least. I got to go, see you around." Naruto said and left her behind. We went back to their room at the inn and was greeted with Hinata and Sasuke eating something.

"You could have waited you jerks." He joked before he put the bag away and grabbed himself something to eat.

"Where the hell were you? Hinata almost had a heart attack when she noticed you weren't there!" Sasuke asked Naruto making Hinata turn red.

"Buying some weapons and looked for a store to buy supplies and clothes. I found one where we can go later." Naruto answered in between bites of his food ration.

"At least you did something useful." Sasuke remarked and went back to eating.

"Yeah when we're finished Hinata and I'll get everything we need while you continue on being useless." Naruto said and finished his meal. Hinata had finished hers earlier and listened to Sasuke and Naruto joke around. Sasuke only flipped him the finger and grabbed a book he had gotten from somewhere. Naruto stood up threw the cans in the trash.

"Alright Hinata let's go." He said and Hinata instantly followed him outside. They left the inn and walked down the street. They passed Ayaka again who waved to them before they reached the store. Like the weapons store it was rather small with three rows of storage racks with goods to buy and to the back were storage racks that contained different clothes. Hinata went to the clothes and Naruto to the other stuff. An elderly woman sat behind the counter reading a magazine. She had only looked up to see who had come in before returning to her magazine. Naruto grabbed a few portions of canned food and empty scrolls for Sasuke to seal the supplies. He also grabbed a book on sealing techniques for Sasuke to do something. When he got everything he needed he went to check on Hinata.

"Hey Hinata I'm done here, how about you?" the blonde called as he turned around the corner His mouth fell open as he saw Hinata. Instead of the bulky jacket he remembered her wearing she now wore a black shirt that fitted her body tightly together with the dark green vest Naruto had given her in the cave. Also she wore fingerless gloves and she put her hair in a ponytail.

"W-Wow. You changed your look." Naruto said as he looked away from her. Hinata blushed and looked at the ground.

"You l-look nice. You have any spare clothes we can seal?" Naruto said still avoiding eye contact. Hinata nodded and said:

"T-T-Thanks." She grabbed a stack of clothes that consisted mostly of extra shirts and pants. Together they made their way to the counter and paid for their items. After they left the store they went to check on Sasuke again. Sasuke was in the same position they left him. When he saw Hinata he complimented on her style and thanked Naruto for caring enough to buy him a book about sealing for dummies.

"Hey it's not my fault you got fucked up. You're the one why we have to stay here. You might as well have something to do, don't you?" Naruto said in defense. Sasuke sadly had to agree.

"So what are you guys doing the next few days?" the black haired boy asked the other two.

"Might as well do some training while we're here." Sasuke nodded.

"I also hoped Hinata could help me training since she was the one who saved our, especially your ass." Naruto grinned as he pointed at Sasuke. Sasuke waved him off with a snort.

"S-Sure." Hinata said as she placed the stack of clothes on the bed she had slept the night before. Naruto put all the stuff he bought next to Sasuke.

"There are some empty scrolls in there. You can seal all that shit and her clothes." he told Sasuke.

"So I can practice what I learned with the book?" Sasuke ironically asked.

"Look I just wanted to be nice."

"Real nice, for sure."

"S-Stop." Hinata interfered before the situation grew out of control. "N-No need to f-fight over something l-like that." She scolded the two. Naruto and Sasuke sighed.

"She's right." the blonde said and grabbed one of the knife kits he bought earlier. "You wanna go training, Hinata?" The girl nodded and followed Naruto out of the door.

"Have fun reading Sasuke!" Naruto called out before he left.

"FUCK YOU!" the bedridden young ninja yelled after him making Naruto laugh.

…...

The day before:

The sun had long set but he Hokage was still inside his office because he hadn't heard anything about the whereabouts of either Naruto, Sasuke or Hinata. He was eagerly awaiting the return of either his searching teams or Kakashi and Kurenai. He sighed with relief when he heard someone knock at his door. Kakashi, Kurenai and the leader of the anbu team the Hokage had sent out entered the room.

"Tell me you have good news for me!" The Hokage said as he took place in his chair.

"There is no trace of them in whole Konoha." The anbu confessed to his leader. Sarutobi sighed again.

"I had a feeling that would be the case."

"The Hyuugas are still scanning everything, they probably won't leave a stone unturned." Kurenai informed the village leader.

"Understandable, seeing as Hinata is the heir to the clan."

"What do you think we're supposed to do?" Kakashi asked the Hokage.

"Expand the search. They may not be in Konoha but there are somewhere." Sarutobi got dead serious. "Finding the heir to the Hyuuga and Uchiha clan as well as Naruto Uzumaki, whose importance to the village is well known to everyone here, is now top priority! I want you three to gather members for a tracking mission. This will be an A-Rank mission. We'll cover every possible direction, that means every village, city or whatever landmark there is. We check it. Understood?" Sarutobi ordered. The two jonins and the anbu captain nodded.

"How many people per team?" The anbu captain asked.

"Your decision. How many you need." Sarutobi said as he wrote the details down on a scroll to make it official.

"The objective is to find one or all of target subjects and bring them back to Konoha. If you have to use force, restrain yourself from inflicting serious injuries." The hokage read out loud what he read.

"I don't think we'll have to use force against them." Kurenai began to say when Sarutobi interrupted her.

"You can never be sure." he copied the mission scroll with a special jutsu and signed all three of them.

"You leave tomorrow morning. I want you to return in two weeks to report. I hope you'll be successful!" The Hokage said and handed them the scrolls. All three of them nodded and left the office to assemble their respective teams.

'When you're back here, you have some explaining to do Naruto.' The old man thought as he watched the dark sky.

…...

Three days have passed since Hinata and Naruto brought Sasuke to a small local hospital and Sasuke was ready to travel again.

"Man, am I happy that we do not have to stay around for more days. Except training there is nothing to do!" Naruto said as he packed his things.

"Thank god my injury healed up so fast." Sasuke said as he too packed his stuff. His upper body was still bandaged but he could move freely without feeling pain. Hinata only smiled as she had already finished packing her stuff. She was by now used to wearing her hair in a ponytail and she kept the sleeveless vest Naruto had given her. After they finished packing they left the inn. They walked through the village and said their goodbye to Ayaka. They left the village and traveled down the road without a care.

"So Sasuke, what's our destination?" Naruto asked as he walked with his hands crossed over his head. Sasuke was holding a map.

"Well we don't have much choices."

"W-Why?" Hinata asked.

"Well if we continue heading west we sooner or later come to Hābā. It's the biggest city in the west because it's one giant harbor."

"I've heard of that city." Naruto interfered. "The old man from the weapons store said from there you can travel almost anywhere by ship."

"D-Doesn't that s-sound like a g-good idea?" Hinata remarked. Sasuke thought for a second.

"You're right Hinata. We'll go there and then we decide what's our next destination. I mean if everything is a possibility, we can freely choose."

"I guess. Hābā it is then?" Naruto asked and his friends smiled in agreement.

…...

Kurenai had been able to use the mission given to her as the first mission for Shino and Kiba to get out of the village. Both of them had abilities that were required for this mission. They were supposed to check the village near the western border before they were to return to Konoha within two weeks.

"Kurenai-sensei do you think Hinata was kidnapped?" Kiba asked his sensei.

"It would be the only explanation for her absence. Hinata doesn't seem like a person who would betray her village and her clan." Kurenai asked as she worried about her female student.

"Every person is capable of everything if the right reasons push them." Shino said.

"You're depressing Shino." Kiba mumbled as he ordered his dog to search for a scent of Hinata.

"Don't worry, I'm sure Hinata is fine and we will find her!" Kurenai assured her students. Suddenly Kiba's dog Akamaru started going crazy.

"He has found a scent. Hinata was moving this way." Kiba yelled out and pointed to a direction.

"I said we will find her. Alright guys let's speed up a bit." Kurenai said smiling and began to speed up.

…...

As they traveled Sasuke noticed that weren't so far away from Hābā at all. After a good day's walk they came into sight of the ocean and then finally the city. The city was gargantuan. Hundreds of ships and boats were anchored and you were able to see the whole city was based around the harbor.

"Wow. I didn't expect it to be that big!" Naruto said as they viewed the city from a hill nearby.

"T-The ocean l-looks beautiful." Hinata stated more to her herself.

"It certainly is something different from the forest surrounding Konoha." Sasuke remarked.

"I think we should find an inn or something to spend the night. Tomorrow we can explore the city and then decide where we'll go." Naruto suggested.

"Good idea." Sasuke agreed with him and Hinata nodded. They made their way down the hill and into the city.

…...

Kurenai and her students were running through the forest after Akamaru who still was able to smell Hinata's scent. They run in silence until they came across a clearing. Akamaru stopped by two dead bodies one with a hole in the chest and one burned. Kiba also smelled the air.

"Hinata's scent is strong here. She was here for sure!" The dog user said as he sniffed the air. Shino knelt next to a body.

"Do you think these were her kidnappers?" he asked his teammate and his sensei.

"Then who killed them and where is she now?" Kurenai wondered as she stared at the bodies. She turned her view to the sky and noticed the sun began to set.

"We should probably set up our tents for today. It's getting late."

"Wait, sensei. The scent continues to lead to that direction." Kiba informed her.

"We could still travel a few miles before resting the night." Shino said. Kurenai thought for a second before she pulled out a small map. She studied it for a few seconds before speaking up;

"There is a village nearby in that direction. If we go fast we should get there in a few hours. Do you think you can do it?" She asked her students.

"Of course!" Kiba exclaimed.

"If it's beneficial for our mission, then I agree." Shino said emotionless.

"Then let's go. Kiba you lead the way!" Kurenai ordered. Kiba nodded and took of sprinting with Kurenai, Shino and Akamaru following him.

…...

Naruto, Sasuke and Hinata had stayed the night at one of the many inns the city of Hābā had. As soon as it dawned the three of them were up and wandering around the city.

"Not being a ninja village sure has its freedoms. No huge wall surrounding you, no difference between citizens, no hierarchy." Sasuke said as he enjoyed the various people doing their stuff and not one of them wore a headband.

"N-no wars. No c-clans." Hinata agreed with Sasuke.

"No fucking demons attacking this shit." Naruto angrily mumbled as we has reminded of all the negatives aspects of a ninja village. Sasuke looked at him sadly. Naruto saw their looks.

"Sorry guys, I didn't want to spoil the mood. It's just, you know..." Naruto tired to apologize.

"N-No problem Naruto-kun. We u-understand it." Hinata assured him.

"Yeah man brighten up. We're on our way to a fresh start, remember?" Sasuke said.

"You're right." Naruto fought back his hate in sake of his friends.

"How about we walk around the main harbor site? I'm sure we can find out where every single one of these ships is headed there!" Sasuke suggested.

"Sounds like a plan." Naruto agreed and the made their way to the harbor.

…...

Kurenai and her students reached the small town as Akamaru started going crazy.

"Hinata is either here or she did spend a lot of time here." Kiba said as he calmed his dog down.

"We should take to the locals here. Maybe they have seen her." Shino suggested.

"That's a good idea. You both go to the local stores and I'll check the hospital. We'll meet at the local inn after we finish." Kurenai instructed and the three of them went separate ways. When she arrived at the small hospital she saw a woman sweeping the stairs to the entrance.

"Excuse me. Do you perhaps work here?" Kurenai politely asked the woman.

"Oh hello. Yes I do work here. My name is Ayaka. How can I help you?" Ayaka asked Kurenai.

"I'm searching for a young girl with dark blue hair and white eyes. Did she perhaps pass by here?"

"You mean Hinata-san? She would be fitting your description perfectly." Ayaka answered. Kurenai's eyes widened in shock.

"Is she okay? Was she alone?" Kurenai urged Ayaka to answer.

"No she wasn't alone. Naruto-san and her black-haired friend were always with her. And when they left all of them were fine."

'Naruto-san and her black-haired friend? Probably Sasuke Uchiha. So they.. They kidnapped Hinata? But... But why..' Kurenai thought to herself.

"Thanks for the information. It was really helpful. If you excuse me now, I have to meet friends of mine." Kurenai excused herself.

"No problem, always happy to help!" Ayaka said goodbye and went inside the hospital. Kurenai rushed to the local inn where Kiba and Shino were already waiting for her.

"Sensei, we have important news!" Kiba told her when she entered the room.

"Speak." She simply ordered.

"In the stores nobody could give us information about Hinata, but the man from the weapons store said that a young man who fits Naruto's description was at his store. And he thinks that Naruto went to Hābā a harbor city which isn't too far away from here." Kurenai nodded at this information which confirmed the information given to her.

"A woman from the hospital said Hinata was here together with Naruto." She said.

"WHAT?" Kiba yelled and Shino frowned.

"You mean NARUTO has kidnapped Hinata?" he asked Kurenai.

"Well, I can't say for sure. It seems a little unreal. Especially because the woman said they were here together with a black-haired person, which could be Sasuke. And I don't think Naruto could kidnap Hinata and Sasuke." Kurenai explained.

"But why else would Hinata be with them then? Kiba asked.

"Maybe they did betray the village." Shino said.

"We can't jump to conclusions until we found them and talked to them!" Kurenai strictly said.

"What do we do now, sensei?" Kiba wanted to know.

"We still have time left. I guess we'll go to Hābā. It's our only choice right now." Kurenai said after a short interval of thinking. "Tomorrow we travel there and see if we can find them there. Otherwise we have to return to Konoha and report to the Hokage. At least we know the general direction the three of them went."

"Then we'll see you tomorrow sensei." Kiba said as he and Shino stood up and went to their own room.

'Hinata you didn't betray Konoha, did you?' Kurenai thought to herself before she prepared to sleep.

…...

Hope you enjoyed the chapter, had a little trouble getting this done. I had to change some plans while writing that's why it took so long. The next chapter is already finished in my mind, I just need to write it down.
