Chapter 9: Take a Chance and Forget the Rest
"It's a great surprise to see you again as well, Mr. Dragan." Samantha told him, slightly bowing. She stepped closer to him. He offered his hand. She nervously shook it.
Xabat chuckled. "Samantha, you know you can call me by my first name. Your family, with you included, has done so much for my campaign." He turned towards Eon. "You are the Johto Champion, right? Although you lack your own Elite Four as a council, you have done a lot in your region. I think you could be the next Pokémon Master."
Eon grinned sheepishly. "I…uh thank you, sir." Lucy rolled her eyes at him. Eon was known to be very vain sometimes.
Samantha regained her composure slightly. "Mr. Drag- uh Xabat, what are you doing here? Last time I checked, you were helping preserve the Cerulean Cave."
Xabat's eyes widened in shock. "Samantha, that was nearly four years ago."
Samantha blushed. "Sorry, I've been away from the media for awhile. Uh so you finished?"
Xabat shook his head. "A wild Pokémon from the cave went on a rampage in the process of preservation. The company that rebuilt the cave forgot to check on the Pokémon inhabitants. The wild Pokémon must have been dormant for several years. He probably caused the cave-in the Cerulean Cave experienced."
"What kind of Pokémon was he?" Eon asked, intrigued.
Xabat cleared his throat. "Unfortunately, I can't confirm his identity. He forced everyone out that wasn't a Pokémon. Then he sealed the cave. Well, it's sealed from humans getting in. I've heard of smaller caves Pokémon have used to get inside. It became dangerous so we shut off access to the cave itself. The bridges were destroyed."
Samantha frowned. "I'm sorry to hear that."
Xabat sighed. "Well, you can't always fix everything." He smiled. "If those Pokémon wish to be left alone, who am I to stop them?"
Samantha smiled with him.
"Anyway, it was nice to see you again. I'm here for the same reason as you. I'm on a short stay vacation. After this, I plan to go to Mt. Sliver. I'm interested in preserving the Pokémon environment. Lately, too many trainers are invading hostile Pokémon territory. Usually they are novices and unable to deal with the Pokémon attacks."
"Aww I'm sorry to hear that. Well I wish you good luck."
Xabat thanked her. "I hope you three enjoy your stay." He waved goodbye and then walked away. Before he got far, he turned around and headed back towards Samantha. "Actually, I have a business proposal for you, Samantha. Will you join my campaign?"
Samantha flinched. Her eyes widened in shock. "W-why would you want me to join you? I'm sure there better people to assist you."
Xabat laughed. "Samantha, you are one of the greatest Pokémon Trainers out there. You have extensive expertise when it comes to Pokémon handling. I would be very delighted if you would join me in my effort to save Pokémon worldwide."
Samantha seemed unsure.
"I know money isn't important for this field of work but I'm offering you two billion Pokémon dollars for just signing up. That's how badly I'd like you to work with me."
Even Eon was surprised at that. A Champion made a million Pokémon dollars a year if they fulfilled all of their duties the Pokémon League required of them. Rarely, was this done entirely. Excluding Lance, the Champions frequently travelled and slacked off in their duties. Eon, the ready-to-fight Champion, was known to miss at least four or five challenges a year. He didn't even want to think about the frequent meetings that were skipped for training. He roughly made $800,000 the current year. Though never greedy with money, he was still surprised when Samantha declined.
"I'm not ready to return to the world of Pokémon yet. I still have my personal goal to accomplish. I'm sorry."
Xabat shifted his weight. He spread his arms outward. "You don't have to answer me now. Give it some time. Who knows, you might change your mind after a week or two. For now, enjoy your stay. If you want to find me, I'll be in the west building, room 117." He waved again and walked away.
Eon waited until he was already on the boardwalk. "Who was he?"
Samantha rained an eyebrow. "I thought he was very famous around the Pokémon community."
Eon never pays attention to politics. He only cares about training and battling.
Samantha glanced at Lucy. "Do you know him then?"
Actually, I do know him. He has been popular for many years now. Even before meeting Eon, I would hear of him in the minds of humans. He did a lot of work for us, didn't he?
Samantha nodded. "His name is Xabat Dragan. He's the CEO for the Special Pokémon Environment Acquisition and Revision Society. The company SPEARS focuses on buying the land that Pokémon usually inhabit and preserving it. I'm not sure if you knew this but Kanto faced a huge problem with Pokémon ecosystems. There were too many power plants and cities being developed. The original Pokémon ecosystems were 90% larger before I was born. In the few years I was in Kanto, several stretches of land were being bought for construction. That's when Xabat invaded the Kanto political system and began buying back the land, sometimes for 75% under the buying price. Soon, Pokémon had their land back to live in."
Why does he help us?
Eon's curiosity was intrigued. "Lucy mentioned he was involved with politics. So where did he obtain that much money? I tried entering the real estate business recently for a new training ground, exclusively used by me. However it was very pricey."
Samantha shifted her gaze. "You remember my family, right? The Sinclair family is very rich. I often tried omitting my last name when I battled professionally or when I entered into business with large companies. Unfortunately, everyone recognizes me because of my family. I hate it." Samantha clenched her fists. It took her a moment to calm down. "Anyway, Xabat first began as an archeologist. He discovered so many things. He once settled on the remains of a prehistoric Pokémon that dwarfed a fully grown Wailord. Soon after discovering the remains of one, he found a frozen cave that had preserved the body of the ancient Pokémon. It took several weeks to melt the ice. After getting the ice to melt, the creature woke up. It was angry. Xabat had originally worked with only four other men. Only two men survived the ancient creature's awakening: Xabat and his partner. For some reason, he never tried publishing his findings or anything. After that, my family took great interest in him and supplied him with money. He quickly changed from archeologist to Pokémon enthusiast. He dedicated his time trying to protect Pokémon. He risked a lot of money to make SPEARS. Through his dedication and hard work, he accomplished in making a multibillion company that is constantly trying to help Pokémon. "
Eon whistled. "You sure know a lot about this man."
Samantha blushed. "I've always admired his drive for protecting Pokémon. He has always been my hero. If I didn't have to find where R-" She twitched and quickly covered up what she meant to say. "I could train in peace, I would have joined him."
Eon seemed to have noticed her twitch. Before he could ask what it meant, she changed the subject. "Did you guys see any ship or something headed here while on your train ride?"
There was almost nothing besides the train. I couldn't even sense any Pokémon for miles around.
Eon shrugged. "I was always busy talking to the rest of the gang."
"Lucy, was there anything underwater?"
Lucy seemed to pause for a bit. I sensed a few disturbing things but I thought they might be the currents underneath the sea.
Eon placed his hand on her shoulder. "Why did they disturb you?"
They were huge. I'm talking about several miles long. They weren't living things. I'm guessing they are the same as this island but a lot lower.
Samantha was confused. "What do you mean like this island?"
This island isn't connected to the sea level. It is maybe a mile deep but after that, you can feel the current.
Samantha turned towards Eon. "Did you know she could sense things like that?"
Eon nodded. "Lucy has always been trying to hide from humans by going deep underwater. I was lucky to find her on shallow water."
I wasn't done. There was something else involving these giant landmasses.
Samantha and Eon focused on Lucy. "What was it?" They both asked in unison.
I cannot really say. It's the reason why I was disturbed. The giant objects were being moved by something massive and strong.
"I've heard of Regigigas being able to move continents with its massive strength."
Eon shook his head. "The Regigigas isn't massive. It's about twelve feet tall. Lucy dwarfs it."
Samantha frowned. "Do you know how big it was?"
It was big and hungry enough to make me scared.
Eon wrapped his arms around Lucy, who had begun to shake. "Why didn't you tell me about it?"
I thought it might be my imagination. It's hard to focus on the deep sea while in human form. But after hearing about that man's discovery, it makes me a bit wary of going hunting. I felt this insane hunger. I don't know. Maybe it was my own hunger from remembering how it feels to be so deep in the water, catching prey.
"Why don't you hunt near the surface?" Samantha asked.
Lucy shook her head. There aren't many Pokémon outside of the island's perimeter. Beyond that, there is basically nothing. I could barely sense anything. The ocean is basically dead around here.
Lucy frowned. "I could've sworn I saw some Pokémon on the way here. Actually…no you're right. There wasn't anything. That's rather strange."
Eon seemed to be in deep thought. "Taking in consideration the possibility of something huge swimming in the water, it's also strange that the man who once found a large Pokémon is on the island. It might not be anything but could he still be chasing it? This could also just be some coincidence. We're not sure there was anything."
Samantha shrugged. "I'll ask him later. Anyway, I was asking if Lucy saw anything because two Pokémon caused the storm. They disappeared in a red flash. Have you heard of maybe a long distance kind of Pokéball?"
Eon pondered about it. "I've heard of talk of something like that. It's not really a Pokéball though. It's like the system that is used when we capture a Pokémon when we already have six in our possession. However, it allows you to actually use more than six at a time. It's a belt that was created by some scientists. I heard it was stolen though."
Samantha sighed. "Then that means they may have tricked us into focusing on the storm."
We can keep an eye on the guests here for you. I'm sure I can find ill intent if there's any.
"Thank you, Lucy. I apologize for jumping into all this. I know you two must be on vacation with the rest of the Champions. I'll let you guys regroup." Samantha meant to leave them alone.
Eon grabbed her arm. "How about you join us? We don't know this place. You've been here longer than us. How about you show us around?"
Samantha smiled. "I'd like that."
Eon laughed. "But right now, just the three of us. I'm not interested in meeting up with Lance again, maybe later when he stops complaining."
Samantha forced a smile.
I don't blame you for disliking the bastard.
Samantha couldn't help herself. She burst into laughter. "I had really missed her personality. Anyway, let's check out the eating area. I'm very hungry."
Eon nodded. The three of them made their way to the boardwalk. Samantha scanned her Pokégear for directions. They took a few turns before finding the eating area.
They chose a table near the edge where they could see the beach. A waitress took their order, stammering when she saw Eon and Lucy. Samantha was embarrassed but glad she remained unnoticed. She took a picture for the waitress who was thrilled to be in a picture with the Johto Champion and his wife. She hurried back with their order, returning with a few more workers who asked for a group picture. Samantha tried her best not to laugh as Eon and Lucy posed with about seven of the resort's workers. When they were finally left alone, Samantha ate her meal quickly.
"So I've been meaning to ask, when did you two finally get married?" Samantha asked. Her mouth was full with her food.
Lucy answered her. She stopped with the telepathy now that there were people around. "Two years ago. We were unable to invite you."
"We thought you were dead." Eon told her.
"Well I was off somewhere uncharted. I'm sorry. How was the wedding? "
Eon and Lucy both smiled. They held each other's hand. "It was magical. I'm so glad we could finally be together as husband and wife." Lucy giggled. "I'm still so happy to say it. I'm now Lucy Angelos."
"I always wondered why you stayed with that name, Eon."
"Same reason you're still a Sinclair: I'm proud of my heritage."
Samantha smiled sadly. "I'll admit that I don't like my family but I am proud of where I came from. They were all elite Pokémon Trainers in their day."
Eon grinned. "I'm proud to be the son of a caregiver and a master trainer."
Lucy laughed. "I bet my parents could kick your parents' asses." They laughed with her.
They shared a few minutes in a peaceful silence. It was unfortunately shattered by a familiar face.
"Ms. Sinclair, could I have a word with you?"
Samantha turned around. Beside her stood the girl she had witnessed battling the day before. Her red hair was in a ponytail. "Um I guess. Please call me Samantha though. I think we're about the same age, no? Anyway, what's up?"
Chelsea smiled. "I'm Chelsea. It's nice to finally meet my favorite Champion of all time."
Samantha grinned. She noticed Eon turn away. "My friend here doesn't like it when he's overlooked. You might want to say hi to him too."
Lucy smiled but held in her laughter.
Chelsea smiled at Eon. "Hello Mister…actually I don't know your last name. It's nice to meet you, Eon, the Johto Champion."
Eon acknowledged her with a nod, trying to act cool. Lucy turned away from Eon to silently laugh.
Chelsea focused back on Samantha. "I was wondering if I could ask you something."
Samantha shrugged. "I'm okay with questions."
"Over six years ago, you battled against the Viridian Gym Leader for the Earth Badge. What exactly happened during the match?"
Samantha frowned. "I won?"
Chelsea leaned in closer. "But how did you win? What Pokémon did you use? What attacks? What strategy did you try?"
Samantha sighed. "You want to see the tape."
Chelsea blushed. "I do. I've seen so many of your battles. That's the only one I haven't. It'd mean a lot to me if I could see it. Please?"
Samantha shook her head. "I don't have the tape with me. However, my friend, Blue does have it. I'm not sure if he will let you see it but you can tell him I said it's ok. I'll give him a call in a bit to let him know."
Chelsea's eyes lit up. "Oh wow, thank you so much. I can't believe this week. I see the great Samantha battle and I can see the lost tape!"
Samantha laughed. "It's not lost. We just promised not to show it to anyone because we want to battle again."
Chelsea's eyes widened. "You guys want to have a rematch? That's so awesome!"
Samantha studied the girl for a second. "Well I don't know you well but you don't seem bad. You're a little hyper around me but how about you join me for some fun later?" She turned towards Eon. "I made a friend on the train. She's a very lovely girl. She needs to lose her shyness though."
"You must mean Stella, right?" Chelsea asked.
Samantha smiled. "Yes, have you met her?"
"In person, I haven't. I used to visit her family's grooming center though. They are really good!"
Samantha titled her head. She remembered that Stella had been very shy about her past. Samantha only knew a few things about her. "Well would you like to hang out with Stella and me? I think we're free tomorrow. I've honestly not seen her since yesterday."
Chelsea placed her hand on her chest. "I'd be honored!" She smiled. "Thank you for your kindness. I should probably let you guys return to your activities. Thanks again!" She bowed and then jogged towards the beach.
Eon chuckled. "You're MIA for four years and people still love the hell out of you."
Samantha pretended to brush some dust off her shoulder. "Well when you got it you got it!"
They all shared a laugh.
Lucy yawned. "Sorry about that. I didn't get much sleep on the way here."
Eon wrapped his arm around her, pulling her closer to his body. "Would you like to join us back at our room, Samantha? This time, Lucy and I are sharing a room together."
Samantha smiled. "I'd like that." She placed her hand on Lucy's shoulder. "You should probably rest for a bit. Eon and I will just catch up. Remember to throw your comments in though. I love them." They stood up. Eon and Lucy waited on her. Samantha laughed. She remembered they had no clue about the resort's layout. With her Pokégear, she directed them to their room.
Lance paced around the room. Cynthia and Iris were on their respective beds. Wallace was on the sofa, looking through the resort's catalogue.
"Though I like your company, Iris and I are tired. Poor Wallace looks ready to fall asleep! Why did you stop him from taking a nap?" Cynthia asked Lance.
"I can't stand that Samantha is here."
Cynthia rolled her eyes. "Remember, your beef with Samantha is between you two, not us. So don't make us suffer because your panties are twisted."
"Cynthia that isn't the way it's- you know what? Screw it. Lance, stop wearing panties, get off your rag and go away. I want to sleep so much!" Wallace groaned as he stretched on the sofa.
"Oh I get it. Lance is a girl!" Iris laughed.
"So I wore panties once! I told you guys, the chick was into it and you guys saw how hot she was! She wanted my dragon lance." He said the last part smugly.
Cynthia groaned. "Why always with that pun? We don't care about your favorite type, besides Iris, and how good you are with them. And last time I checked you do not have a lance in your pants. Wallace does."
Wallace laughed. "Ha! Want a Rawst Berry?"
Lance rolled his eyes. So did Cynthia. "We are rather lame sometimes, aren't we?"
Iris raised her hand. "Why not give him a Kuo Berry instead? He likes it very hard, no?"
Wallace and Cynthia giggled while Lance turned red. Iris grinned.
-Fourth Day-
Stella shut off the alarm next to the bed. She sat up and stretched her arms over her head. The blanket was moved down, revealing she was only wearing a bra, which wasn't even clasped correctly. It opened when she stretched. She giggled. "I guess I had a bit too much fun last night."
"Amber, I'm horny again. Wake up!"
Espeon kept nudging her trainer. Amber groaned as she tried to wake up. "What?"
"I'm ready for more."
Amber giggled. "Last night was pretty awesome. It was very sweet for me."
"I thought Flareon would last longer. Oh well. Call them again."
"How about we eat first? I really do need a shower. I'm all sticky." Amber rubbed her entrance with her finger. "I didn't expect Ivysaur to fill me up."
She gently stood up. She took a warm shower. Espeon joined her. They both tried to clean themselves of their night of debauchery.
It didn't take her long to get ready. While she fixed her hair, Espeon was going through her Pokégear. "Hey did you know they can deliver food to your room?"
Amber rolled her eyes. "It smells likes hot sex in here. We're going to eat the eating area. That way the cleaning crew can tidy up."
Espeon whined. Amber ignored her. She was hungry for a burger.
Leila was filing things into one of the file cabinets. She had worked on organizing each guest's personal file by case number. It had taken her about three hours but she finally finished.
"You know, that's why I hired two assistants to work for you. You could have them do that." Abigail told her.
Leila turned around. Her boss was leaning against the door frame. She was wearing a loose, blue top with white khaki pants. Leila, on the other hand, was wearing business attire. She had noticed that most of the staff wore clothing that was slightly formal but casual. Sometimes it was outright swimwear.
"I like doing things myself. It keeps me busy. I'm already done planning the workload for the next two weeks, as well as the rooms for new arrivals. If it weren't for this I'd be sitting in my desk, doing nothing. "
"Well…are you feeling better?"
Leila nodded. She gave her a smile. "I sometimes freak out like that. It's what sucks about mental scars. They haunt us randomly."
"Well, I'm always here if you need to talk."
"Thanks, Abby. I appreciate that."
"So are you psyched about next week?"
Leila laughed. "You're always bringing up my days off like it's a big deal."
"What? We both have those days off. It'll be fun!"
"Won't it be bad if we're seen together?"
"We're together on and off all day for work."
"I mean being together as a couple."
Abigail laughed. "Are you worried to get in trouble for dating your boss? We're on a remote island where the majority of the board of trustees can only be contacted via phone. They hate to be disturbed by anything unless it means a loss in profit. Since you've joined us, we actually increased in profit by five percent. They don't care if we're doing it on the beach. Hell, they'll be happy to know about it."
"Do they know?" She asked nervously.
"I told them that if they try messing with me, they'll surely lose millions of dollars a day. They don't care what I do, as long as I help this place run smoothly. So it's okay."
Leila sighed. "If you say so."
She turned back to the filing cabinet to close it. She felt Abigail embrace her from behind. "Well since you're done, how about we…" She slipped her hand down Leila's pants. She rubbed Leila's labia through the thin material. Leila moaned as Abigail rubbed her clitoris.
"We…can't. The…door is…open."
Abigail kissed Leila on the neck. "Don't worry about it." She continued to rub her lover with her fingers. She could already feel some wetness. She turned Leila around. She grabbed Leila by the hips, pulling her close. She picked up Leila and pushed her against the file cabinet. Leila wrapped her legs around her boss. She could feel Abigail grinding against her. She grabbed the back of the woman's head and engaged her in rough kissing. Abigail's tongue danced with Leila's.
She slowly pulled back. Abigail motioned for her to lie down on the desk. While Leila did so, Abigail closed and locked the door. She grinned at Leila.
Leila giggled at her. Abigail worked on getting Leila's pants off. She had no trouble in removing the woman's panties with her teeth. When Abigail attacked her lower lips, Leila fondled her breasts. She moaned out her lover's name. She was in bliss. She loved this job.
Samantha kept trying to call Stella. She had already called ten times and had knocked on her door for twenty minutes.
"Maybe she went somewhere?" Chelsea stood next to her. She had donned a white and yellow summer dress.
Samantha sighed. "I was hoping to see her. I haven't seen her in more than twenty four hours. I miss her. I had a bad feeling last night. I tried calling but she must have silenced her Pokégear. I meant to check on her but I ended up sleeping on my friend's sofa."
Chelsea tried giving her a reassuring smile. "I'm sure she's ok."
Samantha smiled sadly. "I hope so."
"Mind if we join you instead?" Wallace and Cynthia appeared from behind Samantha.
She smiled at the two of them. "Sure. You guys want to hit the pool? I've been here four days and I've only eaten and seen the beaches."
"Sounds like a good idea." Cynthia smiled at Samantha.
Samantha smiled back. "Great, so do you guys have swimsuits with you?"
Cynthia groaned. "Yes, but it's in my room. I'm rooming with Iris and she's talking with Lance."
"It's alright. They sell swimsuits here. It's in the same area as the pools." Chelsea explained.
Samantha turned towards her. "Have you been here before?"
Chelsea nodded. "My brother and I are regulars here."
Wallace clasped his hands over hers. "I'm glad we have a beauty like you to enlighten us about this resort."
Cynthia laughed. "I have a boyfriend, Mr. Wallace."
He quickly let go. "Then that was a bit awkward. Anyway, you can call me Wallace."
"We don't like formalities." Cynthia explained to her.
Samantha laughed. "We think so alike."
"So what is your name, madam?" Wallace asked.
"My name is Chelsea. It's nice to meet you both." She bowed to the Champions.
"I'm amazed you're not as hyper as yesterday." Samantha told her.
She blushed. "I'm not usually like that. I just got caught up in the moment when I saw you."
Cynthia wrapped her arm around Samantha. "You always did have a large fan base. Oddly, it's mostly girls. Anything you want to tell us, Sam?"
Samantha spoke with a deep voice. "I'm secretly a guy."
"Psh you wish you could pull off being a guy. We're too awesome." Wallace pretended to flex.
Cynthia punched him in the arm. "Be careful. If Eon sees you acting like that, he might challenge you to spar with him."
Samantha chuckled. "He's still trying to prove he's the best of the best?"
"Unfortunately, yes. He's always trying to battle everyone. If it weren't for the Champion Pact, he'd be challenging us all the time." Cynthia shook her head. "He should cool off and live with Lucy somewhere rural, settle down and have kids."
Samantha smiled. Her expression was sad though. "I wish they could."
"What's the Champion Pact?" Chelsea asked.
Wallace answered her question. "When we are sworn in as Champions, we are strictly told not to challenge the other Champions, regardless if they are still a current Champion or not. This was established because-"
Samantha interrupted. "It was established because I battled against Lance. Lance was the Champion before me. After I forced the Pokémon League to accept my resignation, Lance, who had been sworn in again, tried attacking me. Seeing as you've seen most of my fights, I'm guessing you've heard of the Kanto story right?" Chelsea nodded. Samantha continued. "During my attempt to leave the Kanto region, Lance tried stopping me three times. Honestly, I don't blame him. I did insult him and every other Kanto Champion before him." She laughed nervously. "It didn't help that I was taking the three legendary birds with me."
Cynthia shook her head in disappointment. Wallace frowned. Chelsea had her mouth agape in shock.
"Anyway, I got the three of them. However, Lance attacked me while I was leaving the Seafoam Islands with the intent of drowning me. I accidentally let out the three birds. Seeing each other in the same place was bad. They began to fight. I had only my Salamence, Metagross, and Swampert to battle Lance. Lance had called on reinforcements from Kanto's dragon clans. It got very ugly. Lugia ended up coming out to stop everything." She turned towards Chelsea. "When you see a Pokémon that is bigger than the legendary birds combined, you are very close to wetting yourself. Eventually, I had to release the three birds and escape while Lugia held Lance at bay. That's the part of the story that only a few Kanto locals know."
Wallace raised his hand. "That was Eon's Lugia, right?"
Samantha nodded. "He was travelling to Kanto for supplies his mother needed. Some of them were antidotes to certain Pokémon bites. He was on his way to Fuschia City from Cinnabar Island. Their Safari Zone always held an ample supply of medicine."
"Did you meet Eon then?" Chelsea asked.
"I didn't exactly meet him. It was more like Lugia was trying to finish Lance's job of drowning me and Eon just happened to attract Lugia's attention. I flew on Salamence's back quickly. The last thing I saw before I left Kanto was a Typhlosion standing against the Lugia."
"Did that affect your confidence when you saw the same Pokémon at the Silver Conference?" Chelsea asked.
Samantha started laughing. "I watched a hotheaded trainer jump off a Lugia and challenge me the moment I arrived at the conference. I already knew I wouldn't win."
Wallace crossed his arms. "Eon constantly speaks of that match as one of his best matches."
Samantha nodded. "It was. I didn't let him win, far from it. I didn't care I was at a disadvantage without Mew. I gave him my best. They had to allow us to fight in the sky. Lugia could have easily destroyed the stadium."
Cynthia cleared her throat. "As interesting as the story is, I'm not sure it's smart to talk about such matters around a non-Champion."
Samantha rolled her eyes. "I don't care who knows. I'm not bound by the same code you two are. Chelsea wouldn't tell anyone anyway."
"How would you know?"
"She's from Kanto. The Elite Four scare everyone. They are highly respected. If they say something, you have to follow it. Am I right, Chelsea?"
Chelsea grinned. "I'd be tracked down if I say any of what Samantha just shared." She tilted her head. "How did you know?"
"You said you were going to watch Blue's tape soon. It's a waste of money to travel there just for a tape. Also, I noticed that your Rhydon was surprised by Twister. Originally that move was uncommon in Kanto. It knew Thunder. I assume it knows Blizzard and Fire Blast as well?" Chelsea nodded. "That was a common strategy in Kanto. In other regions, Rhydon is evolved."
Chelsea clapped. "You're very analytical! And you were right about all of it. I'm from Kanto." She raised an eyebrow. "I didn't know Rhydon could evolve."
Samantha grinned. "I've always studied Pokémon."
Wallace frowned. "That's nice and all but back to the elite Four. I thought Lance was in control of the Elite Four in Kanto. He doesn't really care about rumors, does he?"
Cynthia snickered. "Lance gets upset when we say he's crap in the sack or when we say our region is better. I'm pretty sure Lance knows about the Kanto Elite Four's iron fist."
Wallace shook his head. "If he wasn't so damn funny to mess around with, I think we'd all hate Lance."
Samantha waved her hands at them. "Hey! We're not going to the pool at this rate. Let's just head there right away."
Chelsea chuckled. "It's this way."
Wallace bowed. "Please lead us, madam."
Samantha whispered to Cynthia. "I can't wait to see you in a bikini." She winked at her.
Cynthia laughed. "Oh stop with the lesbian routine. You're probably asexual or something."
Wallace pretended to be upset. "No! Another woman lost from the game."
Samantha and Cynthia laughed at him. Chelsea giggled and led them towards the pool.
Stella sighed. She was waiting for the employee in charge of the grooming facility. A man with a trimmed brown beard approached her. She shook his hand and introduced herself. The man's name was Robert Smith.
"So I was told by Ms. Swellows to offer you a supervising position. I was skeptical about it but I don't think I'll be following her recommendation. You're rather…young."
Stella bowed. "I understand. I didn't wish to be in charge of anyone. I just want to help in grooming and anything else that needs to be done."
Mr. Smith smiled. "Well I'm glad you're honest. I hope you're as good as my supervisor told me." He motioned for her to follow him into the hallway for employees. They passed several doors. Mr. Smith chose one and opened it. It was a medium sized room with a large bath station, a drying station and a station for the Pokémon to be given the final touches.
"You will be working here. We'll start you off with smaller Pokémon. Your first client will be…" He looked through a machine on one of the free tables. He pressed on the touch screen a few times. "You will be grooming a Pikachu. She is to be bathed, dried with either the towels or the hairdryer, and then combed. You can use any of the tools in this room. If you run low on anything," he motioned to the machine, "press EMPLOYEE, SUPPLIES, and RESUPPLY. An employee will restock them for you." He explained a few more actions on the machine. He went over rules and guidelines. He told her their restrictions and other policies. By the time he finished, a Pikachu walked into the room. He chuckled. "Usually the Pokémon are escorted to the rooms by an employee. The regulars are just told the room number to go to. Bigger Pokémon have to be transported by Pokéball. This Pikachu is one of our regulars. She is very friendly with people. Good luck." He smiled at her. Then he walked away, leaving the door open.
Stella faced the Pikachu. She smiled at her. The Pikachu wiggled her tail. She stepped towards Stella. She rubbed against Stella's leg. "Pika Pii." She cooed. Stella giggled. She scratched behind the Pokémon's ear. "It's time for a bath."
Stella exhaled. She still remembered what to do. She turned on the water, making sure it wasn't too warm. The showerhead was similar to the lower one in their bathrooms. She made sure it was on a low pressure. She slowly washed the Pikachu.
As she normally did in her job, she let her mind wander. Her hands always knew what to do. She began to think about the night before. She giggled when she thought of Samuel. Pikachu didn't hear her. She was busy cooing as Stella's hands massaged the Pokémon's body. Her body was covered in soapy bubbles.
Stella wondered what Samuel was doing at the moment. She remembered he had left sometime at night. She worried that he might have called. She had put her Pokégear on silent, like she normally did when working. She had ignored Samantha's earlier warning. Samuel had been very nice to her. She had been shocked at how kindly he treated her. She actually missed him.
A group of men stared at the several monitors in front of them. They were secretly recording the lives of the guests. Anything that happened at the resort could be seen on tape. The resort was cautious about who they allowed to work the monitors. Unfortunately for them, they had been tricked by Harold's spy. One of the men working with the surveillance cameras had skillfully tampered with the feed. He made sure the cameras were also broadcasting to his boss's monitors. Through careful observance, the spy revealed all the information Harold's men needed. They would soon start their plan.
Underneath the resort, there was a hollow cave that could be reached by submarine. The owners of the resort were unaware of the cave. Harold and his men had reached the cave. They awaited further instructions from their commander.
Harold stared at the monitors in front of him. He was impressed by how much cameras the resort used. Most recordings were ignored by the resort due to the large amount of recorded material gathered daily. They only focused on the recordings involving guests. They normally ignored the cameras recording the jungle and the beach next to it. Those areas were normally meant for the Pokémon exclusively. Harold however had his whole group of generals glancing at those particular cameras. He was grinning. They had witnessed the Johto Champion's Lugia transform into a woman. Harold would make sure to alert his commander about his discovery.
Phew. That's another chapter done! More info than I planned but I was so absorbed into things! Anyway, next chapter should explain a bit more, especially about Stella and the antagonists. I'd say more but I don't want to ruin things. Thank you for reading my story. I shall continue updating regularly! Please review your thoughts on the story, or send complaints. I don't really mind ^-^
