Chapter Nine: What the...?

A bright light and the women found themselves back on earth together where they had been before the battle. The knowledge they had inherited from the Moon Kingdom in the back of their minds. Usagi rested gently in the knowledge of their safety, she smiled as she looked into Ami's eyes.
"What are you thinking about?" Ami smiled,
"Alex and I are starting a family, we found out a few days ago." Usagi squealed with delight as she stood up from where she had been sitting and moved to hug Ami tightly. "I think this is the best time, now my child will not inherit our battle and we know the Moon Kingdom is coming soon." Usagi nodded smiling.
"It's fantastic news, and it could not have come at a better time." She grinned and hugged Ami again.

Minako smiled as she leaned her head on Anthony's arm, they were looking through a window into a shop, it was where she had been right before she had felt Haruka fall into the trap, however things were different now, she knew what the future held and she knew he was the one she would spend the rest of her life with.
"Anthony," The young man turned and looked down into her deep eyes.
"What is it sweetie?" Minako smiled, she must have the most patient man on earth, it had been over two years since he had asked her to marry him, and she said yes, but they just hadn't made the commitment. Minako kept coming up with excuses, her career, and fighting as a Senshi came first.
"Let's set the date, let's get married next month."
"You mean it?" He smiled, just like the night he had proposed.
"Yes, let's get married. I don't go back on tour for four months, and everything at the arcade chains are going well. Let's finally celebrate us!" Anthony smiled.
"You better call Rei if we are going to get this done by next month." Anthony smiled as he leaned over to kiss her. "Let's get married!"

Makoto and Rei were back in the cafe where they had been before the battle. Makoto was talking about moving forward with opening her own restaurant, Rei was listening intently as she had pledge to help Makoto and her husband financially when they were ready. Makoto smiled as she stopped talking and looked at Rei. Rei was smiling cheerfully to herself, unaware she had let on her to her inattention.
"Alright Rei, spill it, what have you and Ryan been hiding from the rest of us?"
"Ryan and I just found out about two months ago that we are expecting." Makoto smiled as she stood up and moved to sit beside her friend.
"Congratulations! This is fantastic news!" Rei smiled, "But why not tell anyone?"
"This will be our third time pregnant, we have had two miscarriages and we did not want to share until we knew that we would be keeping this one. My twelfth week was a few days ago, so decided we could share then, most specialist agree that pregnancy if safer and more sure after the first trimester." Makoto looked deep into Rei's eyes with pity and sadness. "Don't be sad for us, rejoice with me friend!" Makoto nodded.
"You're right, this is time for celebration. Our future is safer and we can begin our lives a new. Waitress!" The young girl hurried over. "Another piece of pie, please!" The waitress nodded and hurried off, the two women laughed.

Meanwhile at the Tenoh house Haruka turned over in her bed and pulled her lover towards her so she could gently kiss her. Michiru curled closer to the beautiful woman next to her and ran her finger long the woman's side. Only upon approaching the abdomen did Michiru open her eyes. She quickly pulled off the covers, forcing Haruka to jump awake. Michiru looked at the blonde woman who was feeling somewhat alarmed at the sudden movements of her partner.

"What the hell did you do that for?" Haruka asked rubbing her eyes.
"What the hell did I do? You are pregnant?" Haruka looked down and noticed her belly the same size as Michiru's. She stroked it remembering what Queen Serenity had said. Michiru looked at her in shock, trying hard to understand as slowly the memories of the day's future flashed in her mind. "I died? You took one of our children from me so that I could live?" Haruka nodded, unsure how her wife was taking the news. Michiru leaned over and kissed her on the lips. "Thank you," Haruka smiled as she returned the kiss. She jumped and pulled back feeling her belly jump as well. "Are you alright?" Haruka nodded as she looked down at her belly, she placed her hand on her belly and could feel her son kicking.
"He scared me, that was a new and unsuspected feeling." Michiru nodded as she moved to touch Haruka's belly.
"Oh Ruka, I am so happy we can do this together." Haruka smiled as she kissed the top of Michiru's forehead.
"Can I have the covers back? I think the baby and I would like a few more moments of peace." Haruka grinned as she reached over for the covers and then pulled Michiru towards her and towards the mattress.
"So you are having a boy?" Michiru asked calmly.
"Yes, Queen Serenity told me when she moved him from you into me."
"Haruka I can't tell you how grateful I am and how excited I am about this." Haruka grinned.
"I'm excited as well, but you know what this means don't you?" Michiru snuggled closer laying her head on Haruka's chest.
"It means I'm having a girl?" Haruka grinned.
"It means that I get a say in how we decorate now." Michiru smiled as she kissed Haruka's neck lovingly.
"It also means you are going to have to see the doctor now, and start taking vitamins and better care of yourself." Haruka smiled as she felt Michiru's hand make it's way up her shirt and rest on her belly.

Haruka stretched as she rolled out of bed, she felt the baby jump and she jumped feeling it, it was such a new feeling to her she was uncomfortable. Haruka let out a belch as she felt the beginnings of heartburn. Michiru moaned as she turned over in bed,
"Where do you think you are going?" Haruka smiled.
"I need something to drink, I'm thinking a cup of tea."
"Remember no caffeine," Michiru grinned as Haruka frowned at her. "and since you are going, will you fix me a cup as well?" Haruka smiled and nodded as she stood up and moved around the bed. Michiru giggled as she watched her.

"What are you laughing at?" Michiru grinned.
"You are waddling," she broke into a fit of the giggles as she took in the full effect of Haruka's pregnant body.
"You are not being very nice to me." Haruka placed her hand on her lower back and headed out the door.
"I'm calling now to make you a doctor's appointment, and you know we are going to have to let the others know." Haruka muttered under her breath as she made her way down the stairs. Michiru leaned over to pick up her phone and make a phone call, but before she could start dialing the phone rang.
"Good evening," Michiru answered smiling as she saw the number on the phone. "Good evening, Michiru?" Rei's voice sounded excited.
"Yes, how are you doing Rei?"
"I am well, it's good to hear your voice after the last battle, the girls and I were a little worried about Haruka and you. It's good to hear your voice."
"Yes, we are both back and in fairly good health, but have we some news." Michiru smiled, Haruka would be upset if she spilled the news over the phone.
"So do Ryan and I, so we are throwing a little get together tomorrow night, it will be here at the shrine."
"That sounds like a great idea, we will be there. Should we bring anything?" Michiru knew Haruka was not going to tell the others unless Michiru forced it.
"Whatever you would like to bring, would be just fine. Can't wait to see you!"
"And you!" Michiru hung up. She smiled as she felt her little girl kick, pausing she rested her hand on her belly she picked up the phone again, but before she could turn it on to dial Ami's office number showed up on the caller id. "Tenoh residence, Michiru speaking," Michiru smiled as she heard the nurse on the other side.
"Hello Mrs. Tenoh, this is Kristina from Dr. Mizuno's office calling, Dr. Mizuno is requesting you come in for an appointment tomorrow." Michiru smiled, no doubt Ami was concerned about the babies after the battle they had just fought.
"What time does she have available? Is there any chance she has two appointment slots back to back? My wife Haruka needs to see her as well." Michiru was smiling to herself, she felt like she was getting some payback all the times Haruka had babied her and coaxed into doing things she did not enjoy.
"We sure do, can you be here by eleven in the morning?"
"We will be happy to see you then, thank you for your call." Michiru hung up the phone, then decided to get up herself and head down stairs. Her tummy was growling and the baby was starting to kick. Michiru waddled down the stairs and into the kitchen. When she turned the corner she saw Haruka was already in the fridge scavenging through it.
"We have got to go to the store, there is nothing to eat in here." Michiru smiled as she moved around the fridge door. "Who was on the phone?"
"Rei is throwing a party at the Shrine tomorrow and wanted to invite us, then Ami's office called, and I scheduled us both appointments at eleven tomorrow." Haruka made a face. "Move away from the fridge," Michiru walked around the door and ushered Haruka to the other side of the counter. "What would you like to eat?"
"Wait, you mean I have to be seen like this?" She gestured to belly, Haruka would die before she let anyone know how concerned about her image she really was, but Michiru knew that Haruka prided herself on her slim athletic build.
"We are only at eighteen weeks, we still have twenty-two weeks left, are you telling my you are going to stay in this house for the next five months?" Haruka thought about it and nodded. "Impossible, we are going to see the doctor tomorrow, then we will need to get you some maternity clothes and then we are going to the party. Rei sounded so excited." Haruka stuck out her bottom lip, but jumped as the baby kicked her hard in the belly.
"Am I suppose to get use to this?" Haruka rubbed her belly. Michiru smiled,
"It gets easier, now what do you want for dinner?" Haruka smiled.
"Wonton soup, pork dumplings and bar-b-q chicken pizza." Haruka muttered under her breath.
"Sounds amazing, can we have peppers on the pizza?" Haruka nodded. "Is it in our budget? I mean we now have to factor in new clothes for you as well." Haruka smiled,
"I think this Tri-Cup winner can afford to splurge a little." She winked at Michiru who picked up the phone and handed it to Haruka.
"I want some spring rolls as well." Haruka nodded as she quickly dialed the number for delivery. "I'll go get the heartburn medication." Michiru smiled as she left the kitchen.
