Don't worry. Its only going to be more dramatic from this point onwards! If you like it, maybe tell me in a review. If there are mistakes or you think I could improve, let me know!
Later on that night, after Liz had gone back to her hotel for the night, Felicia sat once again, in her room, covered up to her neck in a bright pink blanket, computer in her lap. She was waiting for Ludwig to answer her call.
Suddenly, her phone started to ring. Not wasting anytime, she lunged for it, pressing it against her ear. "Did you see the picture I sent you!?"
"I did... I couldn't make much sense of it at first..." He breathed heavy into the mic.
"Apparently, they're about... 40mm right now!" She pulled at the fraying side of a blanket as they spoke. "... I feel better about it now I've seen them.."
"Yeah... I wish I could have been there... Maybe I would as well."
She felt so disheartened by it. For the first time in over a week, she was happy. But all it had done was make him that little bit more scared.
"It's going to be okay though... You're not the one with a.. well you know." She pouted, trying to remember that he really hadn't meant it to offended.
"You're right... I guess its just because I'm not there... its harder to sink in." He sighed, leaving an awkward silence to follow.
".. Well I'm happy. For now at least... Can't you be happy that I'm happy?"
"I suppose I can... I love you Felicia." There was no hesitation in his voice, so she knew that he was telling the truth.
"I love you too... Bye." She beat him to hanging up the phone, trying not to scream from anger.
Just when thing's were managing to go well, when she felt that everything was going to be perfect. He slipped up and just added more doubt to her mind. It made her want to cry. Was he already having doubts about her? It was his issue to deal with as well. He wouldn't just be one to back out would he? Maybe it was just her mind playing tricks on her.
She stretched out on her bed, groaning from yet another stomach ache. Everything was just sore, including her head. She didn't know what to do. She felt under her pillow for her diary, the ultra sound scan tucked inside. She pulled it out, sighing contently as she dragged her fingers across the image. She found it so odd, that just a simple picture, just a little bean could change so much for her.
She wondered if she should be more upset, or angry but it just wasn't in her nature. She couldn't be angry at something that she had made. She sighed, holding it close to her chest. She would tell Romano as soon as she could. So long as he could stand by her, she could tell her grandfather with ease.
She heard a knock at the door. She tried not to panic as she pushed the picture and book under the pillow, begging that it wouldn't get crumpled as her brother walked into the room. "What's up?"
"... I've been thinking about what you said the other day.. About telling Grandpa.." He sighed and threw himself onto the bed, nearly disrupting the pillow that the image lay underneath.
"Oh about... Antonio-"
"Shush! Don't say his name out loud!" He panicked, nearly covering her mouth with his hands.
"Okay.. Okay.." She sighed, wondering if she should dare to tell him. "I have some big news of my own.. We'll end up giving him a heart attack!" She giggled.
"Oh god... Did he propose to you?" He scoffed, panic again on his face.
"No! It's something even more amazing! Promise you wont say anything to Grandpa yet but-" Her eyes went wide as she heard said man begin to walk up the stairs. "Never mind..."
They both agreed not to say anything, just a few simple nods to each other, until their grandfather had passed. "But I will tell him... You better tell me what your secret is."
"Later... Tonight isn't the night for it..." She sighed, pulling the blanket back up around her, hoping that it would signal for Romano to leave.
He nodded, getting up and heading for the door. ".. Promise?"
"You'll find out no matter what.. I swear."
She sighed as he left, pulling out the picture. She looked down at it, a smile laced her face as she slowly started to drift off. She kept a hand on it at all times, the other set on her stomach.
