"Look, I don't know what happened. Honestly I don't need to or want to. But as your friend I need to let you know that things are not going to be good for you if you go through with this. Honestly, Kira, Why? The Dark Lord is not pleased to say the least. What about your brother? Didn't you think of him at all?"

"Did you drag me here just to lecture me? Or is there a point to your rambling?" Kira and Draco had never been the best of friends, but as cousins Draco felt sorry for her predicament. He honestly wanted to warn her and try to talk some sense into the stubborn headed girl.

"No. I mean yes. Dammit just listen. There's a plot. A revenge plot. I don't know if there is any way to fix what you have done or not, but if you don't try you are dead. And not just you but everyone you care about. Your whole damn Hufflepuff house could be blown to bits. You seriously don't understand!"

That got Kira's attention. She was ready to face whatever unfortunate circumstances might come her way, but she definitely was not ok with it affecting her friends. She could handle the teasing and the mockery, but the Hufflepuff house had become the truest family she had ever known. In a moment of desperation, Kira reached out and hugged Draco.

"Draco, what do I do?! Tell me it's not too late! I can't endanger everyone because of my stupid identity crisis! Please help me!"

"Bloody hell, will you pull yourself together!" Draco replied as he pushed Kira back to arms length. "I swear they're already rubbing off on you. If you're this weak then there truly isn't any help for you. You're dealing with the Dark Lord!"

Kira refocused her attention, drew her face back to its old stoic expression and grabbed Draco by both arms.

"What. Do. I do?"

"That's better. Maybe there is a little hope. Ok, this is a long shot, and honestly it may be too late. But I can spread the word that you wanted to meet with me. And when you did, you informed me that you did this on purpose, to get closer to the mudbloods and destroy them from the inside once you gained their trust. But eventually you will have to prove yourself to the Dark Lord again and if you fail you're as good as dead. This is all I can offer you, and I know it's a lot to swallow since clearly you're a mudblood lover now. But if you want to live, you had better become the best undercover dark force that has ever been known. Even better than your brother."

Kira thought for a moment. Damn all of this. She wanted to get out of her brothers shadow and had managed to land herself right back in the middle of it. Undercover plots, betrayal, sneaking around... It all left a bad taste in her mouth. But if she wanted to protect her friends, it was the only way. She had to try.

"Then it's done. Sell it Draco. Everything you said. And make sure it gets back to my parents."

"In the meantime carry on with your reject friends. It will all look good once everyone believes this story. I know you're only doing this for them, but as my blood, as a full blooded powerful witch, your magic shouldn't be wasted."

"Thank you Draco."

And with that exchange, he left.
