Party Time! (Continuing the same day from the last chapter)

It was still Friday morning. After Hanzo's encounter with Mileena, he decided to go back outside and wait for his friends to arrive, namely Kuai and Bi-Han. By time he got outside, his friends were already out there waiting for him. Hanzo wasn't surprised by this, however, he noticed a third person with them.

"Sup?" The grey haired guy greeted as Hanzo approached the trio of men. Hanzo then stopped in front of them, staring at the grey haired guy who's before him. Hanzo wasn't sure where'd he seen the guy at, but he looked quite familiar.

"Meh, Nothing much" Hanzo shrugged all nonchalant. "You look familiar, have we met before?" Hanzo asked with curiosity.

"Dunno, thought I saw you in one of my classes this year," The other boy replied. "Oh, by the way, the name's Tomas, but you can call me Smoke."

Hanzo raised his eyebrows in curiosity at Tomas's nickname. He wanted to ask, but he quickly rejected the question out of his mind. Seeing the nickname alone was obvious as it is. He also didn't want to look stupid.

Smoke pulled out a cigarette from the pack he was now holding, putting it in between his lips while putting his pack away and getting out his lighter and flicking it on the front of his cigarette.

"Anyways…." Bi-Han started off. "We're planning on going to a party tomorrow, wanna come?" Kuai said while finishing his brother's sentence. Hanzo was rarely the type to go to parties. It was most likely because he had Martial arts practice on weekends. Hanzo thought about going, but shook his head; his training always came first before anything. Even on a Saturday.

"Nah, I have practice tomorrow night, besides, after that, I'm gonna be beat." Hanzo answered the brothers' question.

"Aww come on man! You're always training and shit!" Kuai sighed "Take a day off for once dude, you deserve it." Bi-Han said after his younger brother. Hanzo thought about what his best friends were saying.

'Maybe they're right; I need to take a load off once in a while.'

"..What time's the party?" Hanzo asked. "It's at 8 o' clock tomorrow." Smoke replied while puffing on his last bit of the cigarette. "Who's hosting the party?" Hanzo asked. The brothers looked at each other puzzled. "Cage" Smoke replied again. Bi-Han, Kuai, and Hanzo couldn't help but to give each other puzzled looks and then stare at Smoke in disbelief.

"Cage? As in 'Johnny Cage'?" Bi-Han stammered.

"Yeah" Smoke replied coolly.

Kuai then chimed in. "Who cares? We're going to one of the most popular guy's party; better live it up while we can. Am I rite?"

The trio looked at Kuai then shrugged, not putting much up an argument. Kuai did have a point, the boys always worked hard on their school work and martial arts. Not really having a chance to hang out with each other after school due to the curricular activities. But tomorrow night was going to be different, they was going to have fun and party hard like they never did before.

Tomorrow night was gonna be one hell of a party.

A pale teenager with black hair and red bangs whom also had strikingly green eyes, picked up the flyer as he said "What's with all the flyers?"

A girl with long raven-colored hair, wearing a violet bandana and a violet outfit to match, peeked over the boy's shoulder to see the flyer. "Ooh, seems like an invitation to a party." The girl in violet said.

"Hmm, let me see." A Native American, who had a blue headband over his forehead and feathers sticking out of his raven-colored hair, snatched the flyer out of the other boy's hands. The Native scanned through the flyer and handed him the object back to the owner's hands. "Very interesting" He stated. "Should we go to this party?" The Native asked.

"I don't know Nightwolf. What about you Ermac?" The bandana-wearing female asked the other male.

"Hmm…I think we should Li, it's not everyday we talented people get invited to a party. Especially the one that everyone's probably going to attend." Ermac stated.

Ermac, Li Mei, and Nightwolf had 1 subject together that they all three loved and enjoyed. And that particular subject was art class. Everyday, they would be in class drawing spectacular drawings. To most people, art was just that – art. But to them, art was their everything. Ever since being in art class, all three of them had bonded overtime.

"What party?!" A loud voice echoed through the hallway, a guy in a red out fit, short black hair, with a red blindfold covering his eyes, was coming towards the trio with the help of the his dog.

"Kenshi, haven't you heard? Here, take a look for yourself." Nightwolf said as he preceded to hand the blind young man the flyer, only for it to fall slowly to the ground. Everyone was silent for a long moment, giving the hint of what Nightwolf just did.

It didn't take long for Nightwolf to catch the hint of what have just been said from his own mouth. "Oh…Sorry, I forgot you were…." Nightwolf trailed off, leaving room for what he was saying.

"It's alright." Kenshi smiled softly at Ermac – despite he couldn't see him. "I know most people are used to me being the way I was before…" Kenshi's smile faded as soon as he said those words, remembering the past events that played through his head.

Kenshi's Flashback

"Remember to do your martial arts homework tonight. You may never know when you may need to use it." Kenshi's teacher stated as the class was gathering up their belongings and going to their home.

Kenshi just nodded to what his teacher said and went off to home, but his trip to home was soon halted as he saw three thugs knocking over an old man, robbing him of his wallet. Kenshi couldn't just watch what was happening; he would never live it down if he did, so he did what any good person would do.

"Hey! Stop!" Kenshi chased after the three nasty thugs. The thugs didn't hear him – or wasn't listening to what he was saying, Kenshi decided to continue to sprint after them until he caught up with one of the thugs that had the elderly man's wallet.

Kenshi tackled one of the thugs on the ground, swiping the wallet back and sprinted back to the elderly man.

"Here…you…go…sir." He handed the wallet back to the elderly man while out of breath.

"Oh! Thank you! How could I ever repay you?" He asked the young man.

"No need to repay me." Kenshi smiled.

"Hmm…" The old man said as he reached a business card from his pocket. "This isn't much, but you call me if you ever need me." The old man smiled as he began to walk off. "And thank you…I owe you my life." He said as he walked off into the distance. Disappearing as the sunset turns slowly into the night that Kenshi will never forget.

A few days later, Kenshi called the old man whom livelihood he saved and the elderly invited him for dinner. Kenshi agreed to it.

The old man and Kenshi talked for hours before Kenshi decided he should head home. The two gentlemen bid their farewell to each other. Kenshi disappeared as the sunset turns slowly into a night that Kenshi will never forget.

Kenshi was halfway to his house until someone pulled up from behind him and knocked him unconscious with a heavy object. The person dragged him into the alley. Kenshi slowly woke up to an unfamiliar face. Kenshi couldn't help but to wonder where he was, who was doing this and why, but before he could even get the chance to open his mouth, he was tied to a chair.

"Who'd ya think ya are? Interferin' with my job, eh?" The masked man spat as he had two others with him.

"Wha…What are you talking about?" Kenshi looked at the man with confusion.

"You took our wallet!" A female voice was heard. It didn't take long to catch what Kenshi was hearing or knowing what they meant.

"Hey! You're the thieves here! You're the ones who took the old man's wallet!" Kenshi spat back at the three criminals he saw a few days earlier.

"Ha-Ha Well, whether you had intentions or no intentions, you're still gonna get paid back regardless." The female said as she looked over to the third thug with a knife.

Kenshi didn't know what was going to happen, but he was prepared for his life to end, but not before they tortured him first and took what was the most useful thing to his face.

The third thug grabbed his knife and walked towards Kenshi, standing before him and raised his knife diagonally before the blade reached Kenshi's face. But before the blade reached his beautiful face, he heard a voice, a voice that sounded too much like…

Flashback ends

"Hello? Hello? Earth to Kenshi!" Li Mei said as she was shaking him.

"Huh? What?" Kenshi said as he snapped out of the most brutal memory in his life.

"We got to get to class." Li Mei stated as she, Ermac, and Nightwolf helped their fellow friends get to the same class they were going. Kenshi smiled softly. Even though he was blind, he had awesome friends who were there for him.

It was lunch time when everyone finished the first part of the school day. Not to mention everyone's favorite part of the day as well.

Then, there was Johnny Cage. Who's still passing out the flyers to his party, while his friends sat at the table near him.

"So…What is it that he's doing?" Skarlet asked her two classmates that sit before her.

"Oh, you haven't heard?" Sonya responded. "He's throwing a party tonight." Sonya finished.

"Don't know why he didn't give everyone a few days notice." Jax shook his head.

"Jax, you know he was never the one to really…give anyone a head start when it came to parties." Sonya couldn't help but to laugh while staring at Jax's facial expression to her comment. But after a moment, Jax couldn't help but to laugh with his blonde companion.

"Um…" Skarlet started off. "Are we going to the party?" She asked.

"Well, don't see why not. Johnny wouldn't be passing out flyers as if it wasn't anything if we weren't." Jax stated.

"Plus, the talent show is 2 weeks away. So I'm sure most people who auditioned for the talent show would be very busy practicing on their…well – talents." Sonya added.

"Okay." Skarlet said.

Skarlet wasn't much of a big talker. She was always one of those quiet types of people that wouldn't say a word unless being spoken to. But unless it was with her friends, she's mostly distant with almost everyone she comes in contact with.

Despite the fact that Skarlet wasn't saying much about the party and stopped asking questions, she was thrilled on the inside. This was going to be her first party that she's going to attend.

"Anyways," Sonya said as she got up from her seat to empty the tray. "Guess I'll see you guys in class or something." Sonya then emptied her try and continued on to the class room. That is when she saw her former friend and Kira making out. Getting disgusted by them sucking faces, "Um…Can you guys do that else where? Some of us got to get to class, and you guys blocking the doorway aren't helping." Sonya asked.

Kira stared down the blonde beauty and rolled her eyes, then turned back to Kano. "I'll see you later Hun." Kira turned to walk away, only to turn herself back around to Kano and smile. "I hope you come over to 'study' tonight. She then winked at her man and walked away.

Kano looked at Kira's backside while she walked away. 'I'm going over her house t'night.'

He then turned to Sonya and smirked at her."Aww C'mon Sonya, don't be like that…Y'know, ya can get on in zhe action." Kano moved his eyebrows. Sonya couldn't help but to gag. "As if!" Sonya attempted to brush past the thug to her class, only for Kano to stop her with holding up his hand. "Aw, Don' be like that darlin'. How about ya give me a kiss and I'll let ya in?" Kano smirked.

"So it's tomorrow night?" Jax asked his goofy friend.

"Yup, and my party's gonna be off the hizzaaaay!" Cage raised his arms and moving them in the air to emphasize his excitement.

"What made you have the party? What about your folks?" Jax asked, knowing Johnny Cage's parents were strict as hell.

Johnny shrugged "What about em'?" He retorted.

"John, you know your folks are strict.

"And?"

"And you know they won't let you throw a party."

"That's why they're going away this weekend and I'm gonna have the house to myself. Heh, who knows, I might get a girl in there." He and Jax laughed.

"Whatever man, good luck with that. Speaking of girls, who's your lucky lady?" Jax asked.

Before Johnny could respond to Jax's question, the both teens stopped walking. In front of them, they could See Sonya and Kano in front of them.

"So, whaddya' say babydoll?" Kano eyed Sonya.

"Hmm, you know, maybe you're right." Sonya said seductively while stepping closer to him. "Close your eyes, Handsome."

Johnny and Jax just stood there and stared at them. Couldn't believe what was happening right in front of their eyes. Jax couldn't help but to feel some type of way when Sonya said 'Handsome' to none other than that nasty thug; Kano. Kano then closed his eye and puckered his lips, moving closer to Sonya.

*Smack*

"Ouch!"

Kano then fell down out of the doorway to science class, rubbing the spot on his face where Sonya smacked him.

"Don't ever make advances towards me like that again." Sonya huffed as she went on in the classroom, her two male friends following behind her. Still in disbelief of what just happened a few moments ago.

It was after school when everyone emerged from the school grounds and onto their daily activities. Then, there was the well-known Trio that strutted out of the school building as they weren't in any rush.

"Hey girls, did you hear?" Jade started the conversation.

"Yeah, we heard. The class clown is having a party at his place." Kitana said, not having any interest in the person whom she considered a peasant more than even Sonya.

"Aww come on Kitana, He's not that bad. At least he has a sense of humor – unlike someone's boyfriend." Mileena said as she eyed Jade.

"Hold up, why you gotta hate on my boo thang?" Jade raised her eyebrow at Mileena.

"Not hating on him, just saying he's kind of…I don't know." Mileena said, not knowing what to make of the green eyed beauty's boyfriend.

"I will come out with it. What Mileena's trying to say is that he's an asshole." Kitana spilled, not leaving any sugar coating for her words.

"Wait, I know he isn't the nicest guy around, but he's not asshole!" Jade said defensively. Can't even believe what she's hearing and who she's hearing from at the moment. But deep down, she knew that was half the truth of what they were saying.

But whenever Kung Lao is alone with Jade, he could be the sweetest person he could be. And only Jade knows that. Although, she did wonder why he always acted like an ass.

The three scantily-clad young women arrived at a restaurant and took their seats at a table. The waiter came and gave them menus while asking for what drinks they would like. Looking at their menu to see what they would order.

"About time you took off that mask." Kitana stated. "I was tired of not seeing my beautiful sister's face." She smiled and Mileena smiled back at her.

The trio sat silently while observing their menus for the time being.

"Sooo… are any of you going to that party?" Mileena asked.

"I'm not planning on going, I want to spend time with Kung Lao this weekend" Jade answered.

"What about you my dear sister?" Mileena then put down her menu and turned to Kitana, whom was still deciding on what she wanted.

"Ha! Me, the queen, go to a party at that peasant's place with those people? Please," Kitana scoffed at the

question. "Milly, if you know what was best for our reputation, you wouldn't go either." She stated.

Mileena couldn't help but to give her sister a side eye.

"Reputations aren't everything." Mileena retorted, trying not to loose her patience.

"Whatever, don't say I didn't warn you." Kitana said as she and Jade put away their menus, ready to order.

Meanwhile at the Kang's residence

"Liu, you coming with me?" Kung Lao asked. Liu just looked up from his homework to his friend.

"I'm not really interested in going. Plus, don't you hate Cage?" Liu said as his eyes went back to his homework sitting in front of him.

"Yeah, But he practically invited everyone." Kung Lao shrugged.

"I see, but I'm still not going." Liu said uninterested.

"Aww come on Liu! It'll be fun!" Kung Lao said as he tried to convince. "I mean, there's gonna be fine ass babes at the party. Babes!" He was excited for the party, and hoped that the girls would be good enough to get his friend to come.

"I'm not really interested in these 'babes' you're speaking of." Liu Kang retorted. Truth be told, he wasn't interested in any of those girls. He had his eye on one girl, But he doubt she felt the same way.

"Besides, weren't you going to spend some quality time with Jade?"

"I was. But then, there are the babes. Heh."

"Kung Lao, I wouldn't do it."

"Aww, why not? It'd be a waste not to get to touch one of them." Kung Lao smirked.

Liu just shook his head at his friend's reasoning. 'I can't believe that I'm friends with a Horn dog.' He thought.

"It would be unwise Lao. I don't think I need to elaborate further." Liu Responded.

Lao shrugged. "If you say so." He then had begun on his homework while liu was nearly finished with his.

Kung Lao and Liu talked and played 'Mortal Konflict' for the remainder of their time. Then it was time for Kung Lao to return home. They both bid their farewell and He went on his way.

As soon as he got inside his place, he pulled out his cell phone and dialed a number. The caller on the other end picked up on the third ring.

"Hello?" Jade answered.

"Hey babe." Kung Lao said through the phone.

"Oh! Hey bae. What are you up to?" Jade asked.

"Oh, nothing really. Listen, I may not be able to spend time with you tomorrow night."

"Oh…" Jade said, disappointed that her night with her boyfriend has came to a halt. "Why's that?"

"I have to work an extra shift tomorrow night. Sorry." He lied effortlessly as if it was nothing.

"Okay…Next weekend?"

"Yeah, that sounds good."

"Okay, well, I got to go. I'll talk to you later."

"Alright, Bye."

"Bye, I love you."

"Love you too." He ended the call with that. The truth was, he did really did love her. But he didn't want to be tied down to just one person – he loved variety and that was where his problem within himself lied at. He couldn't just commit to just one thing.

Kung Lao then looked at his phone, then dialed another number, not giving a second thought to what was said just merely a few moments ago

"Hello?" A female voice on the other line answered.

"Hey, Are you Busy tonight or tomorrow night?" He asked.

"No, you?" She asked

"No, I'm planning on going to Johnny's party tomorrow."

"Me too."

"Yeah…Anyway, why don't you come over? My parents are out for the night and maybe we could –"

"You don't have to say it, I'm coming right over." The female then hung up and He couldn't help but to smirk at his phone.

'I'm definitely getting some tonight.'

A/N: Hopefully you guys enjoyed this chapter! And yes, I made Kung Lao a player. It's hard to try to put their real personalities with something normal as high school and in their teens. Okay, it isn't..somewhat, but If I did, then this story wouldn't be interesting .
