Chapter 8: I Will Kill for Love
I began walking towards Beacon, looking for the people on my list. While avoiding authorities and keeping my face hidden, it didn't take long for me to find Nualo and Laron, two of the four members of Dread Team RCNL. They were passing out posters as well as taping them up onto walls. I took a closer look at them, and my heart sank. On the poster, it said, "WANTED CRIMINAL: GEORGE PITCH, REPORT IF SEEN" and had a clear picture of my face from the orphanage.
Damn it, I won't be able to live in this city, in this civilization. I'll have to live outside the kingdoms since that damned, evil woman who had the gull to call herself my mother while calling me by a made-up name seemed to convince everyone else that I'm insane. I was shaking with rage at this point, but then took a deep breath. I would be fine with living like a savage as long as I had Savvy with me, but that would have to wait until after all this, so I resolved to get the job done.
I snuck up behind them, and then managed to slice the girl's head off and disembowel the male at the same time. It was… incredibly easy, I guess because they were both inexperienced as well as distracted. I looked around to make sure no one saw me kill them, and then continued on to Beacon.
Sneaking into the school was easy enough; it was a simple matter of blending in with the crowd while keeping my face hidden. I found another one of my targets, Mikio Shiro, teaching a Grimm anatomy class.
At the end of the class, I went up to him, "Can I ask you something?"
"Sure, anything." he said, as he started packing his things for lunch time.
"Do the Creatures of Grimm feel any pain when you cut them?"
He had a moment of hesitation, and I used this chance to try stabbing him. However, my blade was caught by his… metal hand!? He then knocked me to the ground with a heavy thud.
"So, you're this Pitch boy I've been hearing so much about. You know, that's quite bold, trying to assassinate me in a school full of combat experts. I guess I'll just have to give you a good beating until you give up…"
God, screw this bastard! Who the hell does he think he is!? I then stabbed at him several times, but he dodged and blocked my attacks. He then caught my left arm as I thrust at him, and promptly broke it with a well-placed chop of his metal-infused hand.
"It's a damn good thing that my Semblance allows me to do this, otherwise I'd-HNG"
It was at this moment that I stabbed him in the gut with my unbroken arm. He fell to the ground and I ran away. I snuck back out of the school and went to a doctor, who I threatened at sword-point until he set and cast my arm. Now was the time to wait, but more importantly, I shall withdraw in order to train myself in both strength and skill.
Savvy, Ironwood, I hope you'll forgive me.
