Prompt: Teacher + Student, with Phantom Girl.
He was an enigma, to be honest. Sitting in the corner, taking his careful notes as he observed all of the students, completely ignored by the professor… Tinya wasn't sure what to think of him. She had never heard him ever really talk to others, just the occasional remark made in correction, if the professor made a mistake, though she had seen him engaged in quiet conversation with some of the students that went to him for help.
According to Clark and Sal, he was actually quite nice.
And, of course, Tinya could be a bit of a busy bee, at times, and it made sense that with her hectic schedule, she'd fall behind in Calculus. Thus, time to consult him!
"Mr. Dox?" she asked, as the rest of her classmates filed past, out the door, with the short, blond, child student teacher looking up from his absolutely gibberish assortment of notes. "Do you mind maybe helping me with my work?"
He lifted an eyebrow, a slightly incredulous move that seemed kind of out-of-place on his youthful, serious face, regarding the taller, black-haired girl in front of him, who played absentmindedly with a strand of her hair. "Right now?"
Tinya had to snort, shaking her head. "I was thinking maybe Thursday, if that works? At like Starbucks or something?"
The student teacher surveyed her with those odd, violet eyes of his, before giving her a careful nod. "Does 3 at Bigby's work?"
Bigby's, huh? Not a coffee place she had tried, but hey, looked like little Mr. Prodigy here had a preference, and she gave him a grin, moving her hand away from her hair to prop it on her hip. "Make it 3:10, and you've got yourself a deal, Mr. Dox."
A barest hint of a smile answered her. "Call me Querl."
A/N: Eh, screw it. I just want to get all these drabbles out of the way so that I can declare the fanfic 'complete'. These are years old, after all.
