Twilight-Exe – Chapter 9: Gym Class
Bella let out a sigh, heading straight to class despite the stares the other girls sent her way. She found herself rather bored with the classes to start off with, because even though it was a self-challenge program, she wasn't yet being challenged enough. Second, she was having to deal with the girls who not only didn't want to challenge themselves, but that wanted to focus on getting the best guy so they could be the best housewife.
She thought it was all stupid.
However, there was one class that was a challenge, but not a challenge in a way that she actually wanted it to be. The focus was on academics, but every so often the teachers would shift gears to physical activity, which the girls who gawked at Chaud simply liked, because they knew that the could oogle at him if he was participating. He was, however, not participating.
Sadly, Bella found herself in the typical Japanese school uniform, which she thought was designed by some kind of pervert with how short it was, but it also showed off how lacking she was. She could see the girls who Chaud had thought she had helped with staring at her, giggling and pointing, each one sticking up their noses at her. Worse, she knew that the girls would be mocking her when her lack of skills came into place.
They were playing volleyball, and a ball came hurtling out of the air, and hit her in the face. Not only did it hurt, but she felt weird. Opening up her eyes, she found herself in her net navi's body, choking as she did so, wondering why this was even occurring. There had been the hope it was just a dream, the last time it occurred, that she had simply fallen asleep, yet there was the inkling that it was.
In the mean time, Sakura was stuck in her body. Bella groaned from where she was in the pad, placing a hand over her eye.
The girls were giggling at her, which was bad enough, but suddenly Sakura was getting up. Thankfully, she hadn't said anything, but instead got into position. She wasn't at all sure what was going on, but Sakura managed to hit the ball to the other side of the net. So, at first it was bad that the other girls in her class were going to make fun of her, but now they were going to believe that Bella wasn't a clutz like she was.
Letting out a sigh, she decided to travel a bit through the net work, only to stop short, feeling herself pulled back into her own body. Someone clapped her on the back. "That was amazing."
"That was an accident."
"Accident? What you do you mean? Accident was when you got hit in the head. Then you were alright, ready to play. Are you feeling okay?"
"No. I thought I was, but that knock on the head is actually effecting me. And no, normally I'm not good at sports." Bella smiled, rubbing her head. "Yeah. I should go to the nurse's office."
She went and scooped her bag, heading to the nurses office. She was allowed to lie down, placing an ice pack on her head. She whispered. "What were you thinking?"
"I don't understand."
"I'm not good at sports."
"I didn't know. What was I supposed to do?"
"I didn't realize you would be. I can't stand out."
"Okay."
Yet there was a chance that the change of psyche would indeed end up being a problem. Bella decided not to think about it, because her head hurt. Her eyes closed, and the nurse gave her an icepack for her injury. Bella dozed off, finding herself comfortable in the bed. A shake of her shoulder brought her awake, and she found herself darting up. Her eyes blinked to see Cahud there, waiting for her.
More specifically, he had brought her a lunch.
He sat down, pushing his hands into his pockets, before sitting cross legged. "Are you alright?"
"I'm fine." Bella wasn't sure how she liked him showing this level of care, particularly after her last boyfriend. She picked at the food, thinking about how possessive Edward could get at times. Sighing, she took a bite of food, only to find herself rather grateful to the fact he'd brought something. She was, after all, hungry.
She ate a few more bites, not happy at the fact he'd tried to help her earlier, but this wasn't so bad. Except, what if the other girls found out that he – their crush – had brought her some food. She didn't want to think about it, and remained silent. Finally though, she had to speak up. "Thank you for the food, but I'd appreciate not to be the attention of your fangirls."
She watched one of his eyebrows dart up, but then heard a laugh. "I like that, that you're not one of them. That, and you are pretty smart. I see you programmed your own navi. Can I see?"
Reluctantly, Bella handed her navi over. She shrugged her shoulders, trying to ignore him as she continued to eat. He took some time examining Sakura, so she finally looked up. "Can I have her back?"
"Yeah. Let me get you my contact info though."
"What ever for?"
"I wouldn't mind working on a project with you. This is actually a pretty good job, the programming that is."
"Yeah, but I didn't give you permission to trade contact info."
"Part of this school is networking. It's what's going to lead to the jobs and stuff. It's not to, as those girls do, try and find the perfect husband to be the perfect housewife. Personally, I don't want a girl who's the perfect housewife."
"Then what do you want."
"Honestly, I don't know. My luck is my father will push the perfect housewife." Chaud handed her back her navi. "Don't let those girls get to you. Most of the people here are just stupid. See you later."
And then he was gone.
