Dear Maggie,

Yes, I know I'm only a paramedic and I don't spend much time with you at work because I'm so busy responding to calls, I know how hard you work. It mustn't be easy for doctors or nurses to treat the patients when Management is breathing down your necks. And that's what I admire about you. You are never afraid to stand up for the patients.

I was couldn't believe my ears when I heard what Simon had done. To top it off, I couldn't believe Marilyn had believed him over you. And considering he had just started working at Holby, how could she believe his word against yours?

Jeff told me that he saw Marilyn in the department one day. I though he was kidding. He wasn't. I'm glad I didn't bump into her, otherwise I would have probably lost my job.

By the way, I don't know if Jeff has told you (why would he? Unless he's written to you?) Anyhow, Jeff and I got married. And before you say anything, I know what you must be thinking. Why? Well, it was a gift to my dad. I just wanted him to be happy and by marrying Jeff he was. The wedding itself wasn't anything fancy, just a small reception at the town hall in front of a few of our colleagues and friends. It would have been nice to have you there, but hey ho.

Take care,

Dixie
