Hi, everyone! Thank you so much for your support until now! It's been a (relatively) long time since I updated this.

I wanted to post something for Dan Phantom Day but I only found out about it a few hours ago and I already posted my only relevant idea (A White Blaze), so here's another chapter to this instead.

Told from Star's POV as per lexi1220's request and valid point.

Kimera20 and KuriMaster13, I still have your recs in the back of my mind for future phics/chapters.

All these ghost hunting lessons are stupid. Ghosts have been haunting Amity Park for the past two years and we never needed them. We've always had Danny Phantom come to the rescue. Anyway, if the United Nations was so adamant about us having Ghost Defense lessons, why not track down Danny Phantom and have him teach? He was loads more qualified than Fenton or Valerie, no offense to the latter.

Speak of the devil.

Manson stared daggers as she and her crew walked past Valerie and into class. She seemed to have some beef with Valerie, although I wasn't sure why.

Valerie had been eyeing Fenton the whole time. I thought it was just a predecessor/successor sort of glance, but maybe…

Oh my god, I have got to tell Kwan! How can I avoid prying ears...

I pulled out my phone and threw a small piece of paper at Kwan's letter jacket to snap him out of his drowsiness.

He jerked his head up and frantically looked around until our eyes met. He'd been up all night practicing systems of linear equations. He was almost flunking Algebra I and his coach threatened to kick him off the football team if he didn't ace tomorrow's test.

I cradled my phone and thumbed out "Hey, how are you faring? Looks like the goth chick has competition." Send.

We both looked over to Valerie, and then to Fenton, who was looking back at Valerie, listening to her every word.

"Hey, Danny! Come up here! I need you for another demonstration," exclaimed Valerie.

She was pretty much slowly getting Danny back into his job against his will.

"You still have those Fenton Micro-Blasters on you," Valerie asked.

I flinched at the fact she'd remembered what they were called.

Danny looked back at Sam and Tucker, then looked back at Valerie. "Yeah," he said with a grin.

Valerie turned away and pulled out a thermos from her backpack. It looked the same as Danny's except part-red instead of green. Did Danny give her that?

Just the situation itself gave me goosebumps. It felt like I was watching a cheesy love cartoon. Actually, I wish it was just that. Then Valerie's cheeks would turn bright red and a heart-shaped closing animation would call the end of the episode and spare me from any more of this misery. Valerie and I weren't best friends or anything, but I still cringed every time I saw how infatuated she was with Danny.

Don't get me wrong: I was happy Valerie could experience what I did every time I looked at Kwan, I just knew she could do so much better than him.

My phone vibrated and the screen lit up. Kwan had texted back. I didn't look at the message because I was too focused on what was going on in the front of the room. Valerie uncapped her thermos and the azure blast came out, just like Danny's did, but instead sucking a ghost in, a ghost girl who looked no more than 3 years younger than us came out. She was wearing a black/silver crop top and pants, the same stylized "D" that was on Danny Phantom's suit adorning the former.

Danny was hysterical at the sight of her. "Dani?"

"You two know each other," Valerie asked.

"Uh, no!" Danny let out that suspicious chuckle he always did when he told a lie. "Just, the symbol on her chest. That's Danny Phantom's. Isn't it?"

I let out a light chuckle. I knew Fenton was lying, but I wasn't sure why. The only logical explanation was he was lying on the ghost girl's behalf, which I thought was sweet. I was starting to see why Valerie liked Danny so much. Paulina looked over at me probably wondering what I was laughing at, which only made my laugh that much harder to keep in. I couldn't concentrate much on the class, not that I cared.

Paulina acted like a perfect child, but she wasn't. She had the looks, I'll give her that, but she most definitely did not have the brains, and seeing her prove that time and time again never got old.

"I gotta go to the bathroom!" Danny ran out of the room like he was running from something.

Almost immediately after, the Code Emerald alarms started blaring. They still hadn't ghost proofed the metal shutters, and a giant ghost cyborg came phasing through the windows.

It turned to the ghost girl. "At last, I have found my prey."

"Maybe you should focus less on your prey, and start praying I show mercy!" Danny Phantom came phasing through the locked door and started attacking the cyborg until it's rockets started up, seemingly against his will, and launched him out of the classroom.

Even though Phantom was a good guy and I was glad to see him, I still didn't feel safe when two ghosts could easily get into a school that was supposed to be ghost-proof during a code emerald.

"That was the Ghost Zone's greatest hunter?" The ghost girl started mocking the ghost that was just there. Maybe it was because they'd gone through this sot of thing on a daily basis, or they'd seen things far worse, but I failed to understand how they could be so at ease literally minutes after their lives were in danger... maybe it was because ghosts didn't have to worry about that?

"Self-proclaimed."

Right as Danny said that, a red, high-tech spacesuit formed around Valerie.

"Get out of the way, Dani," Valerie yelled, which pretty much proved that Fenton knew the ghost girl, and that her name was Dani.

Valerie fired a purple beam at Phantom with a cube that showed up on her shoulder.

Dani threw her arms up in attempt to block Valerie's shots. "Val, stop! It's Danny! The guy who helped you save me, remember?"

"I know." Valerie's voice was as deadly as her weapons.

Danny got back up from in between the two halves of desk he'd been fired into and synced with Dani's verbal onslaught. "What's your problem?"

"I just saved your whole class," Phantom argued.

Valerie ignored Phantom and answered Dani's question. "He sabotaged my dad's job, destroyed everything we owned, forced my family into a life of hardship and turned me into one of the losers at school. I lost all my friends. He even dislocated all the limbs on my old ghost hunting suit when it was being remote controlled. I would be dead if I were in there! This Phantom is a menace."

My eyes widened with each sentence that came out of Valerie's mouth. I turned to Paulina who just stood there, along with Dash, in shock.

"No he's not! He's always been there for me, even when I was attacking him," retorted Dani. "Have you ever seen any cartoons? Clones are usually treated like monsters, with the original being creeped out and trying to get rid of them. Not Danny. There's no way he did those things, at least not intentionally."

If there was one thing the A-Listers were good at other than bullying, it was bad timing.

Dash walked up to Valerie rubbing the back of his head, eyes willed with sorrow. "Hey, Valerie? We're sorry we were so hard on you, we didn't know you'd been through so much."

"I tried telling you, you didn't listen." Valerie shifted all her remaining rage onto Dash.

"Yeah, they might've been terrible friends in the past, but everyone deserves a second chance," said Phantom.

Not even a moment ago, Valerie was dumping on Danny Phantom, and here he was reinforcing her relationships and backing up the A-Listers. He was pretty mature for his age of death. I wondered how many more "humanitarian ghosts" there were out in the world.

After a moment staring at the ground probably deep in thought, Valerie looked back up at Phantom. "You know what, Phantom? Maybe you're not that bad."

I wouldn't be surprised if Valerie eventually dumped Fenton and started chasing after Phantom. Crap! Kwan's text!

I pulled my out phone again and read the words that were flashing on the screen. I'm doing okay. I need to shower, and looks like it.

*hands you a rubber duck*

He must've seen me reaching for my phone because he replied almost immediately.

*puts duck on table, keeps hand*

I hated it when he did this during school hours. I threw my phone into my desk and buried my face behind Ghost Hunting for Dimwits. If there was going to be a heart-shaped closing animation, it needed to happen now.
