Secrets
Regulus doesn't really know when he notices it, but once he does it becomes so obvious that he honestly wonders how he couldn't see it before.
(maybe it's because he's actually spending much more time around her than he used to when he was still in his parents' house)
He's the only one to see it too, which is weird, because, once again – it's obvious.
When Bellatrix smiles, there's a broken edge to it, and when she laughs, it sounds slightly unhinged. Regulus' pretty sure it wasn't there before, and when his mind's not on the latest homework or on the politics of Slytherin's House, it's all he can think about.
She's hiding something, and for the first time, he wonders if it would really be worth it to find out what it is. There's a darkness in her eyes that's much more pronounced than before, and sometimes it scares him just that little bit. Because if something managed to break her, even just slightly, then he's not sure he wants to know what it was.
Only, he kind of wants to anyway, because there's something about her that just draw him in.
And maybe it's the same darkness that scares him. It wouldn't be surprising – he's a Black after all, and he's learnt not to be scared of the dark.
