Saki: Okay, instead of us both doing a chapter each, I literally remembered there was Google Drive. Because I'm dumb. Anyways, let's continue on~!

Anon: Yesh, we shall continue as Kaji's harem keeps growin-

Kisu: *Smacks Anon* YOU CAN'T DO THAT! IT'S OBVIOUSLY SHIPPING BETWEEN MYSELF AND KAJI!

Kaji: Eh?

Kisu: N-N-NOTHING!

Anon: Anyway... MOVING ON!

Third Person POV:

"What?" The purple headed girl questioned. "You've got that stupid lizard to heal you! You don't need any potions!"

"Oh? Well, you never fight in the front Aisha!" The young beast tamer retorted. "So do you need potions?"

"Of course I do, I'm not an idol like you Rena, so boys won't heal me." Rena fumed, with her pet, Apple resting a top her head.

"Come on you two…" A male from their party tried to calm them down.

"Fine then!" The males looked at the green headed female. "I don't need the items, and I won't be partying with you anymore! There are plenty of parties that want me." The young blonde spoke before storming further into the woods.

"I hate her… Just who does she think she is!?" She asked aloud as she walked through the forest. "I should've never partied up with them..." Kicking a rock to the side, she froze as she heard a deep growl, rumble right behind her. Spinning around with a knife in hand, she looked up at the four bears that looked down at her when Apple came upon her shoulder.

"I can do this. I can fight hem on my own." She said as the first bear charged at her. Jumping to the side, she slashed at it causing a red slash to appear on it's side but only gulped as it looked towards her with angry eyes. "Eep!" Jumping back, she dodged a wild swing from the injured bear before she ran in again, slashing at the bears arm before cutting up the neck and stabbing the knife into its neck. Giving out a groan, the bear started to tip over before exploding into the hexagonal data. With a slight smile, she let her guard down ever so slightly when a paw swiped out of nowhere. Bring her arms up to black, she took the blow and flew into a try gasping slightly as the wind was knocked out of her slightly. Reaching back into her satchel for a healing item, her hand came up dry.

"No healing items?!" Rena said with dread a she was knocked back into a tree, becoming cornered once again by the bears. Her eyes widened with fear. As the bear swung down its paw, Apple came in at the final second taking the blow and being knocked off to the side.

"Apple!" Rena screamed and ran towards the fallen dragon, watching in horror as Apple's health slowly depleting. Light surrounded the pet's body as Rena picked it up, holding it close to her chest before having her trusted companion burst into hexagonal data leaving only a glowing blue feather behind. The bear neared Rena to finish the job and stood on its hind legs, ready to deliver the final blow. Rena stared emptily at the bear as it was about to strike. Closing her eyes, she waited for the final blow that would never come. Opening her eyes, she saw that the bear was still standing on it's hind legs with its paw raised before it dispersed into data, revealing Rena's savior. There stood a male, clad in black armor and a single black bladed sword in hand, staring at her with a blank face when Rena began to break down, tears streaming down her face.

"Apple!" She cried picking up the feather of her fallen pet and partner when Kaji stepped forward kneeling down to one knee to speak with Rena

"What's that feather?" He asked with a soft voice.

"It's Apple…" The girl spoke in between sobs. "My partner…" Kaji was taken aback.

"You're a beast tamer? I'm sorry, I wasn't able to save your partner…"

"No… I was being stupid, so stupid to think I could make it through here alone…" She wiped her tears and turned to face him. "Thank you for saving me."

"Does that feather, have an item name?" He asked while pointing at the item. Rena looked at him before turning towards the feather and tapped it for a window to be opened, revealing its name, Apple's Heart. The tears began to escape Rena's eyes again as her partners and friends name was mentioned again.

"Please, don't cry. If Apple's heart is still here, you can still revive her."

"Really?" She looked up with puffy blood shot eyes and Kaji nodded.

"On 47, the South side, there's an area where the El Rose flower blooms and revives a fallen pet." The girl smiled brightly before coming to realization.

"Floor 47..." She realized she wasn't strong enough to do it on her own.

"If you gave me Apple's Heart, I'd do it for you, but the flower won't bloom if the pet's owner isn't there."

"That information is enough. If I work hard to raise my level, then someday…"

"Pets can only be revived after 3 days of death." Rena's eyes widened.

"No… It's all my fault. I'm sorry Apple… I'm sorry..."

"Don't worry. You have 3 days." Kaji stood up, opening his menu and starting a trade with her. "This equipment should be a good 5 or 6 more levels for you, and if my partner and I come along, you'll be fine."

Rena stood up. "Why would you do this for me?"

Kaji turned his body towards her but looked away, his hand scratching his cheek. "If you promise not to laugh, I'll tell you."

"I promise."

Kaji took one look at her again then covered his eyes with his right hand. "You remind me of my sister…" Rena began giggling as Kaji turned away out of embarrassment.

"I'm sorry." She managed to get out throw her laughter and clicked the gold function of the trade. "I'm sure this isn't enough to pay but…"

"No, it's fine eerr... Sorry, I never got your name."

"Oh yeah! I'm Rena." She held out her hand.

"And I'm Blaze." Kaji spoke, not wanting to give out his real name. "We won't be together long but it's nice to meet you." He took her hand and shook it. Arriving on the back to floor 35's town, Rena followed behind Kaji, or to her, Blaze.

"Oh! Rena! You're late!" Two males approaching the duo. "We were worried." The much chubbier male bent down, with his hands on his knees.

"Let's party up! We can go wherever you want!"

"That's very kind of you, but…" She then took a quick glance at Kaji before grabbing onto his arm. "I'll be in a party with him and his friend!" The two males glared at him as he smiled nervously. "I apologize." Rena spoke, before walking away from her fanboys, still clutching onto Kaji's arm. "I'm sorry about those two." She whispered to him.

"Your fans? You must be popular."

"No… They just want me along as their mascot…" A picture of her and Apple flashed into her mind. "Then I got full of myself when they began calling me "Beast Tamer Rena"…" She let go of his arm.

"Don't worry. We'll make it in time." He placed a hand on her head.

"Right!"

"Where do you and your partner live?"

"I uuhh... Right now we're living on a floor that's kind of far from here, so I'll stay down here on this one."

"Is that so? The sweets here are really good!"

"Oh, if it isn't Rena." The two stopped to see a party of four. Rena looked down at her feet. "Eh? You made it out of the forest? I'm relieved." The purple head began to take steps towards them.

"What's wrong?"

"No, it's nothing." She smiled at Kaji, giving him a reassuring smile.

"Huh? What happened to the little monster? Could something…"

"Apple died… But, I'm bringing her back!"

"Eh? So you're going to get the El Rose? Is your level good enough to clear the area?"

"She will." Kaji stepped in front of Rena. "It isn't that hard."

"You're another one lackey that she's seduced? You don't look that strong to me." Aisha smirked as she looked over Kaji with a confident smirk. "Quite cumbersome and large if I might add." She chuckled as she looked over all the armor he had on. "As if you really don't want to die."

Keeping a cool head and a poker face, he motioned to Rena saying, "Let's go," and the two of them started to walk away from Aisha and her party.

"Why is she so mean?" Rena questioned as the two were sat down at the table.

"Is IO your first MMO?" Kaji questioned.

"Yes, it is."

"In any online game, personalities change for people. Some enjoy being villains. Our indicators are green right? If you commit a crime, it'll turn orange, and player killers, or PKers, the worst of criminals, are known as red players."

"You mean murderers?"

"In any other game, they would have so much fun playing as a bad guy, but here in IO, it's all different. This game isn't even a game at all." Kaji said, venom lacing his words as he gripped his cup tighter, his metal hand cracking the glass slightly when Rena spoke up.

"Blaze…"

Kaji had come out of his mini rage state. "Oh, I'm sorry…" He looked down at his cracked glass cup before sliding it off to the side and cupped his hands together in front of him. Rena slammed her hands down on the table and placed her hands on top of his.

"You're a good person! You saved me!"

"Seems as if I'm the one being cheered up instead. Thanks, Rena." The blonde continued to look at him, before she pulled back, her face heating up as blush dusted her cheeks.

"Our cheesecake is late! Excuse me, our dessert hasn't arrived yet!" Kaji stared at the flustered girl, completely unaware of the situation. As if on cue, the waitress came around and placed their own deserts in front of them before quickly leaving to tend to the other customers. Taking a bite, Kaji sighed in bliss as the sweetness of his desert spread all over his taste buds. Opening one of his eyes as he took another bite, he'd noticed that Rena still hadn't take a bite from her meal and was squirming around slightly in her seat. "Something up Rena? You're cheeks seem pretty red and you haven't eaten you're desert."

Taken a back, she quickly grabbed her spoon and started eating her ice cream quickly before grabbing her head out of pain.

"Brain freeezzzeee!" She whined, holding her head with her hands. Kaji let out an amused smile before paying the fee for the food and rented out two rooms for each other. In her own room, Rena laid on her bed without her armor on, deep in thought for tomorrow when she heard a knock on her door.

"Who's there?"

"It's me, Blaze. Can I come in?"

"Sure you can-" Rena stopped short looking down only seeing that she was in her underwear and she covered herself with her arms before shouting at the door, "N-N-NO! DON'T COME IN JUST YET!" She yelled as the door started to be open, but quickly shut. Rifling through her inventory, she equipped her armor and still had a blush when she said Kaji could enter. "What do you want?"

"Well... I don't know why but I can't contact my friend up on the upper levels. She won't respond to any of my messages so I think we're going to be one women short..." Rena had a gloomy face thinking that they won't be able to reach the El Rose in time. Seeing that, Kaji tried to comfort her. "But, hey! You don't need to worry. I'm skilled enough to get you to the El Rose in time and revive your pet."

"Thank you Blaze." Rena said with a slight smile. "Though are you two in guild? Maybe that's why she isn't respond." Kaji tensed up again as the memories of his previous guild came to mind and he quickly hid his feelings.

"No, we both aren't in a guild at the moment... Though what could she be doing... Oh, well... You nervous for tomorrow?"

"N-Nervous?"

"I mean, we're going to be going against some monster you aren't too familiar with and..."

"I'm not nervous! If it means that I get to be with Apple again, then I will do it."

"That's the spirit." Kaji said with a soft voice. "Now get some sleep, you're going to need it for tomorrow." With that, Kaji left and the two of them went to bed. Early next morning, they both got up, dressed in their own armors, and went down to get some breakfast. Finishing, they both stepped onto a teleportation pad, teleporting to the 47th floor. As the blue sphere dissipated, they looked off into their surrounding area to see that they were in an area full of flower beds and other players. Taking a closer look, Rena's face started to flush once again as she noticed the fine details on what's going on in the place.

"Uh... B-Blaze?"

"Hm? What's the matter Rena?"

"Well... Everyone here is... Well... A couple and well... Uuuuhh..." Her face was getting brighter red as she started slowly going deeper and Kaji understood.

"Hey, don't worry about it." Looking around, Kaji found the path towards the area where they can acquire the flower, and the two were off. Overcoming her embarrassment, they continued on the path without much trouble when a large monster appeared. Drawing both of their weapons, a tentacle from the monster shot out and grabbed Rena by her feet and started to dangle her upside down. Due to the way Rena's outfit was shaped, and the laws of physics doing its wonders, her skirt started to slip down. Quickly using one hand to prevent from anything showing.

"HELP ME BLAZE!"

"I got this Rena!"

"YES BUT DON'T LOOK!"

"Well... That might be hard to help you then..." Kaji said, covering his eyes with his hands.

"Grrr, LET ME GO!" With a quick slash, Rena cut the tentacle that was holding her up and dropped down, plunging the knife into the monsters head killing it. Landing into a bed of flowers, she brushed herself off with a small smile and a great confidence boost before giving Kaji a stern look. "Did you see anything?"

"Uuuuhh... No, I didn't see anything... Come on, it should be up here." Extending his arm down, Rena grabbed it and Kaji hoisted her up to her feet before making their way to this large stone structure with a single stone protrusion in the center. Walking up to it, Rena placed her hand on it and a small blue light started to illuminate the stone structure. A green stem started to grow from the center, it's red petals unfolding out before it was completely bloomed. Rena tentatively grabbed it with a happy smile.

"I can revive Apple... Thank you Blaze!" She cheered.

"No problem, though we should get back to the town. It's better if we revive your pet where we won't be disturbed." Agreeing with him, the two of them started to make their way back when Kaji stopped. "I know you're hiding out there. Show yourself." Rena looked at him confused when a certain purple headed girl stepped out from behind a tree. Rena tensed up before looking around trying to see if there was a way out of this conflict, but her heart sank seeing that they could only go backwards since they were on a bridge.

"So, you knew where I was? Maybe I underestimated you slightly. Though looks like my plans have changed slightly."

"Plans?" Rena asked curiously.

"Instead of just killing you. my dear Rena, we're going to need to kill the two of you.~" She chimed.

"K-Kill us? B-But if we die in game then-"

"Then you die in game. It's nothing big. In other games I always go hunt down other players and kill them. It's just how I play a game."

"Though in this game, you're way of playing is sick." Kaji said. "You know very well about the death policy in IO."

"So what? It's still a game." Aisha said with a sly smile. "Enough talk though, lets ends this here and now." Snapping her fingers, more players behind her appeared with orange markers above their heads.

"Orange markers... So that mean's that..." Rena couldn't finish her statement a Kaji smirked, drawing his sword and started to walk forward. "No! Blaze, you can't!"

"Don't worry about me, I got this Rena." Kaji said with a smirk with each step.

"Hey... Aisha... Is that who I think it is?"

"What are you talking about?" She questioned one of her vassals.

"Large black armor... Single handed swords with not shield... It's him! It's the beater!"

"It can't be. He always travels with a female partner wielding a scythe!"

"I doubt this Beater is anything special. I want him dead! GET HIM!" Aisha yelled. With determined faces, all seven of her vassals surrounded Kaji and he just stood still. "Kill him." Aisha ordered and the seven vassals started to attacks. Rena shut her eyes and looked away for a second before looking amazed at Kaji. He was just standing still with a small grin as the others are slashing away at him consistently. Staring at his health bar, she had noticed that it was in fact going down but jumping right back up healing.

"Whoa..." The seven minions that were under Aisha's control jumped back panting hard and looked horrified as they saw his health bar still full.

"Is that all the damage the seven of you can dish out? I can regenerate my health much quicker than the amount of damage you can deal on me... What a shame..."

"What now?" Aisha asked, uncertainty laced in her voice. "You're going to kill me now?"

"Hardly. I'm taking you and all of your 'friends' into custody and send you all to jail."

"Like hell I would just turn myself in!" Aisha yelled, gripping her spear tighter. "Unlike the rest of my vassals, I'm much stro-" Her words were cut off as Kaji seemed to teleport from his standing position to having his blade right next to her neck.

"Such speed..." Rena let out a little gasp at the display of power Kaji really was holding while Aisha dropped her spear surrendering and was quickly followed suit by the rest of the other PKers. Finishing up with sending them to jail, both Rena and Kaji sat around a table to resurrect Rena's pet Apple. "Now that we're in a nice and quiet place, lets bring back your little friend." Kaji said with a smile. Opening up her own inventory, she selected both the El Rose and Apple's Heart and combined them. Both items appeared on the table in front of them before they combined, forming a blue aura of light. As the light faded leaving a pink and white dragon behind.

"Apple!" Rena had tears in her eyes as she hugged her pet, and friend. "Apple! I've missed you so much!" In response, Apple squeaked in happiness.

"Though I do have something to say." Kaji said, interrupting the little reunion. "Please don't take this the wrong way, I don't want to end our friendship but... I kind of used you to get close to Aisha..."

"What do you mean?" Rena cocked her head off to the side a bit confused when Kaji explained everything.

"A player came to a town where most of the players that fight in the front line live and said that his friends were killed by a PKing party. Most of them didn't bother to try and help because finding the boss in the current floor is taking priority. I just happened to be in the area when you got attacked when I was trying to track down Aisha and that's when I found you." Rena nodded slightly and made a gloomy face when Kaji started to shake his hands. "I-It's not what you think! When I made the promise to help you get your friend back. I meant it. It just happened you were Aisha's next target so I wanted to also stick around to see if I can apprehend her before more people die."

"It's all right Blaze. You did more than enough to help me, even if it means that you had to use me. If it meant that you could save more people, the I'm happy I could be of service." She had a sincere smile when someone knocked at the door. "Who could that be?"

"I don't know." Getting up, Kaji went over to the door and to his surprise, Kisu was standing there. "Kiza! Where have you been!? Why haven't you been answering my messages?"

"Kiza?" Rena questioned. "Is that your partner that the other player killers were talking about?"

"Yes, I'm that person everyone sees Blaze here hanging around with... You didn't get into much trouble did you?" She asked.

"No. Blaze helped more than he did harm. If it wasn't for him taking on all 7 of those player killers I wouldn't be standing here!"

"... Oh did he now?" She gave a smile closing her eyes as a vein pulsed under her skin. Rena looked scared at Kisu before confused as she drove her fist into the back of Kaji's head, making him face plant hard enough for the game to tell him that the floor was an Immortal Object. "YOU DID WHAT!?"

"Uuuuggghhh... My head hurts... Kiiiiiiizzzzzaaaa why do you keep hitting me in the head like this?" Kaji whined on the ground.

"THEN WHY DID YOU TAKE ON SEVEN PLAYER KILLERS AT ONE TIME!?"

"Calm down Kiza." Rubbing his head, he got up into a sitting position, still gripping his head. "They were quite sad actually. They couldn't even beat the automatic healing system that we have. My health was healing faster than all seven of them could damage me! And that Aisha figure? Pssh, piece of cake... Though thinking back, why didn't you answer any of my messages!?" Kisu withdrew and held her arms looking off to the side.

"I went to a place."

"What place?"

"The front lines..." She said quietly.

"You went WHERE!? Without me?"

"You got a problem?"

"We made a rule where we would only go into a frontline dungeon if we were both together!" Kaji yelled at her when he took notice to her new uniform. "Hey, where'd you get those clothes?"

"Y-You like them?" She asked with a very light blush. She still had her old armor on, but she had a new color scheme to them. Instead, it was all white and red along with a new symbol on her clothing.

"Why do you have these new clothes and why were you in the front lines Kiza." Kaji asked sternly.

"Fine, if you want to know, I joined a guild!"

"You joined... A guild...?"

"Uuummm... Isn't that a good thing?" Rena asked quite confused why Kaji, or to her Blaze, was questioning Kisu, who she knows as Kiza, so much.

"It's kind of a good thing but... I made a vow to never join any guilds... I work better either alone or in groups of two."

"Oh come on Blaze, me being in a guild doesn't impair you that much. I only did it because a very kind man approached me asking if I wanted to join one of the front line guilds and I accepted it. Now, as you can see, am a member of the Knights of the Blood Pact."

"You know I'm not going to join a guild right..."

"Nor am I going to force you. But this also doesn't mean that you're not going to party up with me! I swear, if I let you out of my sight again, you're just going to kill yourself..." That earned a laugh between the three of us. With the day ending, both Kaji and Kisu stood with the teleportation pad on their backs talking with Rena.

"Well, it looks like we're back off to the front lines... Take care Rena."

"You take care too Blaze!" Rena cheered. "I still can't thank you enough for helping me bring back Apple!"

"Well, that's Blaze for you... Always doing what he think's right for others..." Kisu said. Giving a wave to Rena, the two of them started up the stairs for the teleportation pad when Rena called after them.

"Blaze! Kiza! Wait a second!" Stopping half way up, the two warriors turned around and looked at her. "Promise me that you two won't die!"

Smiling, Kaji smirked. "I won't die off too easily. Later Rena." With a wave, both Kisu and Kaji teleported back to the floor that the current front lines are held. Walking back to the inn they were staying at they both took off their armor and prepared, in their separate rooms, to go to bed.

Anon: Well then!

Aisha: ... WHY DID YOU MAKE ME THE COLD HEARTED B*TCH!?

Anon: Well...

Rena: ... YAY! I LIVE!

Apple: I DIED!

Anon: But you're alive...

Apple: BUT YOU KILLED ME!

Anon: but we brought you back to life...

Apple: What ever...
