Hey guys! Yeah I know that I said that I was going to update a few weeks ago, but I got caught up in some stuff. Thank you all for the continuing support and reviews! I know this doesn't really have much to do with the story but what would you guys think about a separate story for the aftermath of Iron Man 3? Leave a comment/review below! I added a few of my on spin-offs in this chapter and didn't just stick straight to the movie plot just to make it a little more interesting. Hope you guys enjoy the chapter! :) WARNING: Some torture in this chapter.

Thewarpedmind1: Thanks! That always keeps me writing when I get that!

Allesandra Izidoro: Thanks! I'm hoping it will get better every chapter too! XD

Ophelia Lokisdottir: I'm not really sure yet, I'm still trying to figure that out myself.

Everyday someone checked in on us which kind of got annoying. When we were in the middle of working on something, we had to stop and go through our routine: stop what you're doing, stand up, and put your hands behind your head and wait until they are done with what they're doing or until they leave. But one day they came in stood out above the rest.

One day Head Honcho came in and Yinsen and I did what we usually did. Head Honcho started looking around at all of the things laying everywhere, about to be constructed into the arc reactor which he didn't know about. He started talking to Yinsen but Yinsen would not translate it to me. He just talked right back to the man getting louder and louder with each sentence. Suddenly, Head Honcho turned around and grabbed me and shoved me to the ground and started kicking me in the stomach multiple times, hard. He kept yelling at Yinsen. If that wasn't bad enough, it was about to get a whole lot worse.

He got to his knees, his face right in my face. I will never forget his eyes burning with hatred for what seemed like forever. Suddenly, I felt my chest contract almost immediately, already gasping for air and hearing something heavy sliding across the ground. He stood up with a smile on his face. I could hear Yinsen struggling in the background against the guards holding him back, screaming at them that I wouldn't live without it for more than a few minutes. That's when it finally dawned on me that he just disconnected me form the thing that was keeping me alive. I turn my head to my right where the battery once was and saw it all the way across the room.

"If he needs it so bad, he can go get himself. Once he gets it, we'll leave." Head Honcho said bluntly. I knew if I wanted to live, I was going to have to get it so I slowly rolled over onto my stomach so I could crawl over there. Slowly but surely, I was getting there. About halfway there, my whole body gave out and I laid face down on the cold floor, pain ripping through me. You can't make it. It's too far my head was telling me. I could barely move, but I had to keep going. Almost there, almost there I kept telling myself to make myself get over there. I eventually made it and basically laid on the battery.

"Let him go. Let's leave," Head Honcho said to the guards. I heard the door close and heard running footsteps coming toward me. I had no energy to flip over, my body wouldn't let me.

"Stark. Stark! Answer me!" Yinsen yelled at me. All I could do was groan as Yinsen rolled me over. I must've looked horrible because I could see fear in his eyes.

"It's going to be okay Stark, you'll be fine," he said through panic he was trying not to show. I felt like at any moment I could either die or pass out. With vision starting to go, I heard a buzz go off from the side of me.

"Are you feeling better?" Yinsen asked. I still didn't say anything since I was still in immense pain. But he kept insisting me to answer so I made two grunts meaning no. I could tell he didn't know what to do, but he quickly stood up and walked over to his side of the cave and grabbed something. He came back over and said,

"I only have a few vials of these that I snuck in here. This should help." I felt something sharp go in my arm, but didn't really care. That was nothing compared to what I was feeling at the time. But whatever went into my arm made all the pain, almost immediately, flush out of me. I let out a sigh, thankful that it was all over.

"What was that?" I mumbled to him, so grateful for it.

"Morphine," he replied. "Come on, let's get you over to you cot," he told me. I slowly got up while Yinsen helped me get to my cot.

"Get some sleep, you need it," Yinsen told me. That was all I remember from that horrible experience as I went into a dark, deep sleep.

Within the next few days, the arc reactor was finished. All that was left was to turn it on. The lights in the cave flickered as I slowly turned the dial, turning the arc reactor on. When the dial was turned on all the way, the cave was dark and I was engulfed in a light blue glow to the thing that was going to keep me alive. Yinsen walked over:

"What is that?" he asked. I guess I have to tell him now since it's sitting right in front of him.

"It's a miniaturized arc reactor. I have a big one powering my factory at home," I explained to him.

"But what can it generate?" he asked concerned that it wouldn't be enough to keep me alive.

"If my math is right, and it always it, 3 gigajoules per second," I told him.

"That could run your heart for 50 lifetimes!" he exclaimed.

"Yeah or something big for 15 minutes," I said blankly. I couldn't even stand the thought of home, it always made me upset or then I wouldn't be able to work, and that was a priority to get out of here.

"All there's left to do is put it in." I told him.

"Should we do it now?" Yinsen asked.

"The sooner the better," I said, getting excited not having to carry around that big old car battery anymore. We started setting up the cot with pillows so I could help him and figured out a position to where the cameras couldn't see it. Yeah, I know, they're going to see it eventually but it's out of habit to hide as much as I can from them.

"Are you sure you want to do this right now?" Yinsen asked one more time.

"More than ever," I replied.

"Okay, so let's begin," he told me with a reassuring smile. He slowly took out the core of the electromagnet with it still hooked up to the car battery.

"You still feeling okay Stark?"

"Yeah," I mumbled.

"Okay, I'm going to have to turn off the car battery so I can take out the electromagnet without electrocuting myself. I'm going to leave in part of the electromagnet in since it will be too risky to take it out. I'm going to hand you the core of the electromagnet so I can put the new one in. I will try to do this as fast as I can," Yinsen explained.

"Ready? 3, 2, 1," and he started. I could tell when he turned off the car battery because of the increased pressure and pain in my chest. I slowly started bringing my hand up to hold the old electromagnet.

"Hurry! Take it!" he said but I could only move so fast. I eventually got it and Yinsen finally put the arc reactor in. As soon as he connected it, I let out a breath I didn't even know I was holding.

"You still there Stark?" Yinsen asked.

"Yeah, I'm still here. Just give me a second," I told him. I slowly started to get up. I stood up from the cot and started walking around. I gave a high-five and smile to Yinsen and thanked him. But there was one last thing to do before I got to work. I turned and faced the camera and scowled to it, showing them that they couldn't control me. I could.
