"This is my aunt Daniella, my… sister in law Nadia, and my uncle Franco and my grandparents. My brother, mother, and father are kinda busy so you can wait" Bella sighed in boredom.
Bonnie smiled tightly ignoring her sass. She stretched out her hand for a simple shake, surprised to be instantly engulfed in to a huge bear hug by her grandparents, and cheek kisses by her aunt and Nadia. Pulling back, Bonnie giggled, not at all expecting the latter. Tucking a strand of hair behind her ear, she took a second to gaze around at their beautiful living house. To say it was absolutely divine or fabulous was simple an understatement. There was expensive furniture everywhere. Couches, tables, a grand piano on one side of the room, a mini library one the other side, about two fire places connecting in to another Victorian designed lounging room, and to top it all off the largest flat screen tv outlining half of the cream coloured wall facing the view of the kitchen and sofa's. Each tile of floor, whether it was hardwood near the kitchen, marble near the living room or the plush Italian carpets underneath the glass coffee tables, it was safe to say Bonnie felt just by breathing another breath she would be dirtying the gorgeous scenery. It was fuckin ginormous. Yup, that seemed more appropriate.
"It's really nice to meet you all, it's a pleasure" Bonnie spoke, making certain her words were elegant yet warming. She had no reason not to make a memorable yet liking impression on one of America's most powerful families.
"Darling, let loose! We won't bite!" Damon's uncle Franco assured as he smiled handing her a fluke of champagne.
"Oh I don't drink, but thank you" She blushed embarrassed as they all looked a little taken aback.
She remembered when her step-mother handed he a glass on the night she met her fiancé. She knew Bonnie didn't drink yet still handed it to her, calling her a "responsible drinker". The fact that Noah's mom had to lie just to make her friends think her step-daughter wasn't uptight sickened her to no end.
"I like her already" Bella's sister in law Nadia eyed her with a hand on her hip.
"Yea Nadia here is an alcoholic, three years sober I think," Bella scrunched her face up, clenching her jaw as she stared her down.
"Bella Fabiana Salvatore, si guarda la bocca adesso!" (Bella Fabian Salvatore, you watch your mouth right now!) Her grandmother whispered violently at her, her Italian accent thickening.
"No no, it's fine Nonna. It's true, I was an alcoholic. Or am, whatever, but it's nice to meet someone who doesn't need a drink to loosen up" Nadia smiled curiously making Bonnie feel a bit more at ease.
Bella sighed heavily, rolling her eyes at Nadia, before apologizing for her grandparent's sake. She kissed her Nonna's cheeks and strutted out of the room towards the second library.
"That's really great, and yea I guess you could say that I've never drank in my life. Don't see the need for it personally. B-but I don't mind at all that other people do, my friends do all the time and it doesn't bother m-me" The mocha skinned beauty stuttered, afraid she may have offended the family. God damn, they're Italian, of course they love to drink. Fuck!
"Darling we all have our choices, it's nothing to worry about, and I assure you its fine," Their grandfather Paco interjected, grabbing a hold of her waist and trailing her towards the large couches.
He motioned for her to take a seat, and for Nadia to get her a cup of Chai tea. Bonnie's eyes grew wide surprised that he knew that was her favourite. Without wanting to question him Bonnie stood up from the couch wanting to go to help Nadia in the kitchen.
"Thank you so much, is it okay if I help her out? I-I feel bad for-
"In our family guests in our home are treated as guests. Royals. Now sit!" The elderly man flapped his hands, taking Bonnie's hand in to his own, and kissed it.
His wife chuckled, patting her husband on the shoulders as he let go, and kissed his wife on the nose.
"Oh now Paco, let her bond with Nadia, it's been a while since she's met someone of good influence!" She smiled sadly.
"My grandson wasn't lying when he said you were beautiful!" Paco clapped his hands together, earning a little tap from his wife.
"Yes, he's right, you are a beautiful young lady. Also very smart, he needs someone as level headed as you, I'll tell you that" The elderly woman shook her head from side to side, accepting comfort from her Paco.
Bonnie froze, not sure what she heard was right. Not sure that Damon Salvatore called her beautiful, not just to anyone but to his family. Unable to form a proper response, Bonnie smiled sheepishly and was suddenly distracted by little arms being wrapped around her waist. She looked down at the beautiful boy, picking him up in to her arms and blushing as he kissed her cheek.
"Bonnie! You're here!" Gabrielle cooed in to her neck before moving back to hypnotize her with his eyes.
"A promise is a promise sweetheart" Bonnie laughed, placing him on her hip.
"He just adores you Bonnie, wouldn't stop talking about you when he got home" His aunt gushed, wrapping her arms around her husband Franco.
"Well I couldn't stop talking about you to my brother" Bonnie smiled, tapping the little boy's nose with her finger.
"You have a brother Bonnie?" Gabrielle asked surprised.
"I do, he's a little older than you, but you remind me so much of him" She pinched his cheek.
"That's so cool" Gabrielle drawled out in awe.
"Sure is cutie" Bonnie giggled, wondering just who and where his mother was, and if she would get a chance to meet her.
"Gabrielle Alfeo Salvatore! You are getting too big for people to be carrying you around like a baby, c'mon let's go get you washed up for dinner" His uncle chuckled, motioning for him to follow him down the hallway and up the grand stairs.
"Yes Uncle Franco" Gabrielle whined, waving at Bonnie as she placed him back on to the ground.
"I'll see you in a bit bud" The brunette winked at him causing the little boy to blush.
"Now go, Nadia's still in the kitchen sweetie" Gabrielle's grandmother informed.
"Oh right, umm would you both like anything to drink?" Bonnie asked.
"No darling, we're fine, but thank you," Paco grinned bowing as she slowly walked out of the room chuckling to herself.
Bonnie let out a breath she didn't know she was holding and walked over down the long pathway towards the grand kitchen. She thought about the night so far, and how relived she was that they weren't all like Bella. Bonnie felt like slapping that perfect smile off her face and dragging her locks down the porch steps, but that simply wouldn't be classy nor acceptable…not even for her standards. Rachett was never the way to go. After meeting Damon's aunt, uncle, and grandparents, she couldn't see why he would even want to be away from his family for such a long period of time. They were, caring, loving, supportive, and just so much fun. Bonnie personally felt that maybe she wouldn't fit in or be accepted by them, not only because she wasn't rich and they could probably smell it off of her by the cheap (but sexy) dress she bargain hunted for; but because she wasn't Italian, or white for that matter. She had always been given the second look when out with Noah and his mother. Though she completely understood and didn't care most of the time, there was always that void she felt when she was meeting people for the first time. Luckily the night was going by smoothly so far, and seeing Gabrielle just made her night that much more special.
"Hey, looking for this?"
Bonnie spun around, her eyes landing on Nadia, the women who lightly grilled her just earlier. She knew she was nothing like Bella, and felt that maybe they could have a civil conversation now that they were alone. She looked down at the small cup and plate in her hand cautious to see if she'd either hand it to her nicely or throw it on her like one of those girls from Jersey Shore. So she smiled back and nodded.
"Uh yea, your uncle Paco- I-I mean, well I'm not sure if you're uh-
"Do you always get this tongue tied?" Nadia smirked.
"I just don't want to come off as rude that's all, you know what, I'm going to go back-
"Relax, I'm sorry, let's start over. I'm Nadia, they aren't my grandparents per say but I call them my grandparents because well they're kind of my family. Let me re-phrase that. They are my family. Have been for about six years. You see, Gabrielle's my son".
Bonnie's jaw dropped, not expecting her response. She thought that Nadia looked so young, and assumed that maybe she was a cousin or another relative.
"What I don't look that old do I?" The beautiful woman voiced teasingly.
"No, that actually makes a lot of sense" Bonnie shook her head, chuckling.
"Well now that parts over let's get to the nitty gritty. You seem different than all the other girls Damon would date. Smart, put-together, and don't reek of desperate" Nadia snorted as she motioned for Bonnie to follow her down another hallway Bonnie didn't realize was even there. Is this an effing maze?
"Oh we aren't dating, we just ugh- well I'm sure D-Damon told you all about what had happened today and well I'm just glad Gabrielle's okay" Bonnie diverted the subject.
"Oh I know you aren't dating, that was a test, and you passed. Usually his bimbos would get all googly-eyed and blush and well say this, he said we're dating? Well we are getting pretty serious. When in all actuality, the closest they'll ever get to Damon is him sticking his dick up thei-
"Well um okay uh we don't have to talk about his umm bimbo's, I'm just here for your son, I appreciate the hospitality from your family" Bonnie's heart raced, not wanting to imagine Damon fuckin all of New York at the moment. She shook her head accepting the tea from the woman with the strange but interesting accent.
Sensing her curiosity, Nadia smiled, flipping her beautiful brown locks over her shoulder. She patted down the wrinkles on her expensive dress before looking back up the young girl in front of her.
"On a serious note though, I really do thank you for watching out for my son. H-he, well it's been tough for him the past year and a half" Nadia sighed, catching herself before she said too much.
"Of course, of course. Damon was pretty…intense about it all, I understand though, must have been really terrifying."
"You're telling me. Gabrielle… he's all I got. He's mine, he's my perfect little baby boy. Took an arm and a leg for me not to go over there and kill the son of a bitch who didn't have the GOD damn play-ground-
Nadia stopped herself. Taking a deep breath, she shook her head, smiling tightly. "I was in the middle of a very wonderfully heated phone call, I was a fuckin mess. Instead of telling me first, Damon got the call second call and sped out the house so quickly I thought he was going for some pussy. But then I realized that it's Damon Salvatore, my brother in law always has the pussy following him."
"It was great that he showed u-up, I'm glad everything's okay now," Bonnie stuttered, nodding.
After coming to realization that Damon wasn't such a typical ass after all, Bonnie decided not to let him intimidate with his intense eyes, and touchy hands. She was a girl. She was human; of course she was sexually attracted to him. He was tall, with dark black hair, deep voice, and the body of a Greek God. Lord have mercy. But there was something more to him that kept her guessing, kept her thinking about him more than she needed to. Shaking her head, the caramel beauty looked up at the young woman. She looked at her content yet agitated manner. Bonnie could tell she was holding back. She could tell that she was leaving behind an important piece of information, but she knew it wasn't any of her business. After all, she was only just a guest at the house.
"Yea, he decided to tell me once he walked through the door with Gabe. First thing I see is blood all over his shirt. I think I had a bitch fit," She chuckled, slopping down on the couch, kicking off her shoes.
"You aren't what I expected you to be" Bonnie blurted, forgetting her place.
"Ouu, do tell" Nadia's voice rose playfully.
"You know, the typical Hollywood behaviour, snobby attitude, fake persona, the whole package," Bonnie joked, relief flooding over her as Nadia joined in.
"I know I'm a thirty year old hot mama but I don't think the whole Hollywood thing would work for me. Kinda resent the press and media personally," She smirked rising from the couch.
"Understandable" Bonnie giggled.
"Anyway, I gotta read a bed time story to my baby before dinner. He thinks he's a macho man, but falls in to a freakin comma the minute he gets some food in to his system,"
"He sounds like the perfect kid"
"He…is. He really is" Nadia smiled sadly.
After Nadia had left to care for her son, Bonnie traveled two minutes towards the kitchen, secretly excited to see what was in store. Ever since she was a little girl Bonnie had always had the passion for cooking and baking. Every month, she'd beg her dad to buy her new kitchen utensils to outdo the ones she already had. There was always a new recipe or ingredient she'd discover that would put a smile on her dads face. He never once told her that what she cooked was bad or tasteless, because in his honest opinion Bonnie was just that good. She smiled to herself, stirring a new cup of tea, resting her cheek on her hand.
Gazing around her, Bonnie sat in awe of the beautiful space. The Kitchen was lit by a large tharlion lamp that sat next to a lacquered box with black wine beans used for the making of blackwine. Around the main counter laid wooden cutting board, cutting stones, and knives. Just above was a glass compartment filled with spoons, and wooden butter scrapers. All around laid beautiful ornaments and pieces of Italian art, enhancing the room with its special touch. It was beautiful, large, open, enticing. Bonnie thought that one day she could own a kitchen as beautiful and have little kids running around. One day…
"Hi hun, are you alright?" Damon's aunt Daniella asked, taking a seat beside her on the long beautiful Victorian table.
"Oh, yea, sorry I'm great," Bonnie whispered caught off guard.
"Do you mind if I talk to you for a second?" She asked.
"Of course, do you want me to get you a cup of…ah-
"Look at you, guest in the house and you're up and ready to serve me! You're so sweet darling, but no thanks, I'm great, but please let sit"
Sitting back down, Bonnie nodded smiling nervously as she patted her dress. Tucking a strand of hair behind her ear, she wondered just what exactly she wanted to discuss. By the looks of it, it seemed more serious than expected.
"Listen honey, I like you, and I trust you from the thirty minutes I've met you but I'm saying this to help you okay?"
Heart dropping, Bonnie nodded slowly, her eyes widening. "A-alright".
"This family means everything to me, but don't just look at the surface love. There's more to us than meets the eye. I'm telling you to be careful, and if you meet a nice young boy your age at school stick with it. You d-don't want to get caught up with anything you can't handle. Trust me, Nadia-
Suddenly Damon approached the table interrupting their conversation. Her aunt gave Bonnie a serious look, like she was telling her not to let her nephew in on anything they had discussed.
""Oh Damon, uh hi, is everything okay?" Bonnie asked concerned, her worry confusing and pleasing Damon.
"Peachy, nothing to worry about. SO, what were you and my beautiful aunt Danielle talking about hmm? He smiled, urging for one of them to continue.
"Oh nothing honey, I was just filling her in on the most popular Italian dishes that you love so much" His aunt responded, her smile never fully reaching her eyes.
"Y-yea, umm well I love to cook, I was offering to help out at one of your dads and uncle's restaurants this weekend with your aunt" Bonnie smiled gleefully, her eyes telling a different story.
Lying through her teeth, Bonnie cursed at herself, feeling as though she was already getting involved with things she promised herself she wouldn't. She frowned as Damon took her by the hand and led her out of the kitchen.
PRESENT
"Hello, I'm Natalie"
"I-I'm Bonnie. U-uh Bonnie Bennett"
"Well Mrs. Bennett, I heard of the wonders you've done, watching out for our little one. I really appreciate it. We all do. Family is very important to us. We give special thanks to anyone who shows us that showing care and responsibility for our loved ones," the beautiful idol spoke, her voice smooth and low.
It was my job. God damn anyone would have done what I did!
Bonnie stuck out her hand, only to be kissed on the cheeks twice by the legend and her husband.
"It's a pleasure to meet you Bonnie, just as my wife said, it's greatly appreciated. Now let's eat! My parents have fired the cooks I hired and prepared us a graciously delicious meal! Nadia! Gabrielle! Stefan! Come down!" He belted out.
As Bonnie sat in Damon's car on the way back home, she thought back to the rest of the events of the night. She stared out the window as she remembered Damon's younger brother Stefan rushing towards the long candle lit-table like some model out of a runway magazine with his little nephew Gabrielle in his arms. He took one glance at Bonnie and kept his eyes glued on her for the rest of the night. She thought that maybe it was because of her skin colour, but she ruled that out, knowing he had previously dated Bianca Lawson, the girl who had played Emily's love interest on Pretty Little Liars before her character was killed. The fact that Stefan was only twenty-two and she thirty-four showed just how easily he could get any women he wanted. After all he was a Salvatore, rich, beautiful, famous and hot as fuuuuuck. But he didn't seem stuck up either.
"Bout to leave without introducing yourself ?" Stefan appeared just as Damon said his goodbyes and told Bonnie he was going to wait in the car.
"Oh um hi, it's nice to meet y-you" Bonnie stuttered, not being able to take meeting another celebrity in one night.
"You're beautiful, and hey thanks for watching Gabrielle. I'll definitely be seeing you soon…but don't tell my brother. He gets jealous easily" He winked before backing up slowly, looking her up and down.
"Are you still not talking to me?" Bonnie sighed, rolling her eyes as she turned to Damon.
"We were talking" He said dryly.
"You asked me if I was cold, and if I had the keys to my house in case I was locked out. Not really a conversation if you ask me".
"Alright, you know what I want to talk about?" Damon sped up, gripping the steering wheel as his knuckles whitened.
"What?!" She asked raising her voice, frustrated with the man.
"Personally I'm not one for the flowery introductions and bull shit nice to meet you's. What makes you tick? What makes you all hot and bothered? Do you think about me when you're in bed all alone touching yourself. And just what makes you want to do things your little school friends would deem as fuckin crazy? Who are you Bennett? Who are you really?" He smirked darkly, finally parking in front of her house, loving the silence he created from her.
Bonnie gulped, closing her legs together as she clenched her jaw. She looked up to meet his intense gaze, absolutely hating the effect he had on her. He was an ass, he was stubborn, he was annoying, irritating, obnoxious, ballsy…and yet he still thought she was just a little girl.
Licking her lips, and smiling as she watched him growl, she opened her car door, stepped, out, then bent down so he could see her.
"When I'm wet and touch myself, I think about Christian Grey ramming me from behind as he teases my nipples. Don't remember the last time your face came up, but I'll let you know when it does."
Damon's jaw dropped, watching as Bonnie shut the door, swaying her hips as she walked around the car and up her porch steps without once turning back.
A/N: AAAAAND that's the end of the dinner ya'll. I'm glad tbh, I want to get going with the story, I have everything already planned out. I've got the characters, settings, events, and all the crazy, intense and scuuury shit ready. Stay tuned for more! Thanks so much everyone!
