Well... I finally posted the new chapter. Took me long enough... it was supposed to be your Christmas present, but laziness struck hard. So I now present to you, your (very) late Christmas present and an early New Year's (in case I don't make it on time...)

My dear reviewers, I love you so dearly that I just smile when I read your reviews, it shows how much you love my story... *sniff* Anyway, some of you are asking for certain BLs, I won't criticize you since I am a BL shipper. However, I'm afraid this story will be straight. I am also willing to make you an offer, to you BL lovers: I will write about specific pairings of your choice as a one-shot, in the same setting as this story, but it will be a stand alone. Think about it and tell me what you would think of it, don't expect anything soon, it is just an offer.

I should warn you, it has a tad OOC in this chapter, so don't start complaining.

An update on the poll: *drum roll* Tsuna is in the lead! Will Tonari catch up? Anyhow, I am still waiting until we reach the marked 50 line! An omake is at stake!

Now enjoy the chapter I bless you with~

P.S. I love your reviews, follows and favorites! They are really dear to me.

Tsuna lazily opened his eyes to be met with the bluest sky, dotted with white cotton-like clouds. A light summer breeze whispered through the air. Ruffling his untamable hair.

He moved slightly, so that he was propped on his elbows. Noting that he was in a suit that could rival a rich man's tailor. He gazed around at his surroundings. It seemed to be a meadow of sorts. One that you would see in perfect picture books for children. A lush green field with the usual splash of rainbow colored groups of flowers clustered together. Nearly covering up most of the field, leaving spots of lush green in some areas. Not a single tree was in sight.

Tsuna sighed once more as he sat upright. "Another dream, huh?"

Despite the dread seeping into him, he was calm. His body relaxed as he breathed in the fresh air. He knew that these were the first signs of his nightmare. It amazingly hadn't appeared when he first came to Japan. But lately with the girl talk, it wasn't a surprise that his nightmare came back.

He breathed in the sweet air once more, before exhaling it. "It won't be long until they appear..."

As if on cue, Tsuna's trained ears picked up on the rhythmically thumps of many feet. That was when his heart sped up involuntarily. He scrambled to his feet and began to run.

The sounds grew louder, and he quickened his pace. Yet they still were gaining on him.

It was now that he was fully aware of how his breathing was starting to become ragged.

It seemed that in his dreams, his stamina was at an average. No matter how much he wished for his real stamina, it never went his way. Perhaps it was the Lady of Dreams just wanted to see him suffer. Why oh why?

Shaking his head to get rid of his thoughts, he sped up.

His blood was thundering in his ears.

They were closer, and were still gaining up to him.

He grew panicked, running on full adrenaline.

They were getting closer.

And closer.

And closer.

His panic increased tenfold.

He willed his legs to go faster.

Across the small hills of the lush green meadow.

They were, however, getting all that much closer.

"Come... haa... on!" He wheezed, pushing himself further. Ignoring the feeling of tiredness that seemed to grow stronger with the urge of just wanting to lay down and fall asleep. "F-faster!... haa... f-f-faster!"

Tsuna didn't bother to look back.

He never did.

He just wanted to get away from here.

To stay away from them.

Soon a building was seen on the horizon.

Relief flooded Tsuna's entire being. But he knew.

He knew that this dream would be coming to an end.

And...

The horrible ending would soon be upon him.

He wanted to turn.

Wanted to get away from the dead end ahead of him.

But it was as if his body was on auto pilot. It wouldn't budge at his command.

He couldn't stop.

He couldn't hear them running after him. But he wasn't that naïve.

He could feel them.

He could feel their presence.

They were behind him.

He could feel their hot breath go down his neck. As if they were teasing him.

He could feel himself slow down, much to his dismay.

Shivers ran up and down his spine.

And soon...

He was in the building. Tsuna could tell that it was a Catholic Church, with all the designs he could see decorating the interior.

The rows of benches were a blur as he ran to the front of the building.

The pedestal.

He hid himself behind it, holding himself in a fetal position. His breath came in harsh gasps, as he tried to suck in the much needed air.

The footsteps followed, with giggles.

Tsuna's eyes widened. "Haa... no!"

They came closer, their giggles grew into laughs.

"No!... haa."

Closer. The laughs turned louder.

"Haa... ha... n-no! ... ha... no!"

This time they were really close, the laughter finally morphing into the maniacal kind. Tsuna couldn't move. His panic began to rise.

A hand grabbed him. He squirmed to get free, but it was futile.

"N-no!"

A few more hands reached out to grab him.

"No!"

His squirms getting even more frantic, as he was pulled out from his hiding spot.

"No! No! No!"

Their maniacal laughter grew louder in volume.

The number of hands seemed to increase on his person, as he was being dragged into the horde of girls in front of him.

His eyes widened. A wet sheen stung his eyes.

He shook his head frantically.

Scrambling to try and break free.

Their grips tightened making him squeal in pain, as tears started to stream down.

"N-no! I-I don't want to! I don't want to! No! No! No! No! Nooooooooooo!"

His scream rang out as he was consumed by the girls.

Vongola Nono, Timoteo, sighed for the umpteenth time that day. he leaned back into his expensive leather seat, taking a break from the black and white world known as paperwork. He was still bothered at what Iemitsu had said.

An hour earlier...

"He's come home!"

Nono's eyes widened, as a weak flare of intuition heightened his senses. Straightening his posture, he looked at his advisor dead in the eye. His expression serious. "What?"

"My son has come home." Iemitsu repeated his phrase, all the more clearer.

"By god..." Nono's eyes widened even more. "Is this true Iemitsu? Is what you're saying really true? That Tsunayoshi has come back? After all these years..."

Iemitsu nodded, still feeling elated with the news. Nono had slumped back into his leather seat, inhaling deeply. Letting the news sink in.

It was wonderful news that his missing grandson appeared. But how had he known about his family? Who took care of him? Was the boy sane? Did he have trust issues? Was he abused? Was that why he made an appearance? Ah...

What would he think of them?

Sensing his superior's distress, Iemitsu spoke up. "I'm sure he would be fine, Nono. After all, Nana sounded pretty happy that our lost son had come home."

That piqued the Vongola Don's attention. "Your... wife?"

Iemitsu nodded, despite his slip. Nono was serious again. "Do you know how dangerous it is for you to be in contact with your wife, Iemitsu?"

"I already know the consequences, so I plan to set it straight once more." The blonde man sighed. "Besides, with the abduction incident, I gave my number to Nana so I could check up on her well being. She seemed shattered, Teo."

The old nickname surfaced, and despite the blonde's cheery exterior, it was accompanied with a pained voice. Nono sighed once more. He clearly knew that this was out of the well being of his family. He had a right to worry. He couldn't object to that. "Alright, but I want it fixed as soon as possible."

"Yes sir!" The blonde reverted back to his cheery attitude as he mock saluted his Boss. He turned to leave, but was stopped once more.

"Oh and, Iemitsu?"

"Yeah, Teo?" Iemitsu teased his old time friend, chuckling at the face the Don made.

"When you're finished with work, book a flight for one of the jets to Namimori. I believe we need to pay a visit to your beloved hometown."

The blonde man brightened even more, if that was in any way possible. "Yes Boss~ I'll contact Reborn."

With that, the Young Lion left. Nono just shook his head, smiling. Now all he had to do was to finish the damned paperwork...

~o~

That was what he had thought, but looking at the stacks set before him... it felt like he didn't complete it at all. Not a single ounce of it was done. Sighing once more, he set to work. He didn't want Nougat to start yelling at him. And he certainly didn't want a gun pointed at him until he finished with the stacks of paper called paperwork.

Sighing for the what seemed like the zillionth time that day, he began to continue his work. He just couldn't wait until he could go to Namimori to escape his doom.

Now if only he could just get a satisfactory amount done...

Tsuna woke up with a start, his breathing was ragged; coming out in gasps. Sweat trickled down his face as he looked around his room.

Taking a shuddering breath, he brought his knees closer to his chest. Rocking himself slightly, back and forth. He whispered to himself. He needed the comfort of his own voice in the quiet room. "W-well... the dream struck again... It had been a long time since the last one... I'll just have to stay away from the girls for a while. It'll only be for a while... I need to get up and go downstairs... a glass of water should help. Yeah..."

With the thought in mind he made his way downstairs. Making sure not to wake anyone else up. His actions made him smile, he had done this on so many occasions back in Italy... his little escapade as he'd like to call it. Hiding in a tree until a party was over, or when the girls chased him down the streets of Italy. It was hilarious watching them frantically look for him. It just so seemed to be that they would never look up. Tsuna shuddered at the thought, he didn't even want to think if it really had crossed their minds...

Tsuna sighed, clearing his head of his thoughts. Reaching the kitchen, he shivered. Now that was explainable. It was cold and the brunette didn't bring a jacket. He grumbled to himself as he went to get water from the sink. "Damn... I should've brought a jacket..."

As if on cue from the magical heavens, something soft and furry was thrown over his head. From the corner of his eye, Tsuna had caught the orange color. He froze when a nasally voice spoke up from behind him. "Then you should wear your robe, Uccellino."

Tsuna answered without turning around. Filling his cup with water. "And what do I owe the pleasure in seeing you on this beautiful morning, Reborn?"

"It's two in the morning." The said hitman smirked.

"I was being sarcastic." Tsuna sighed, turning around to face Reborn. Placing his cup on the counter, he took off the robe and began to analyze it. It looked familiar...

Reborn brewed himself an espresso. Observing the older Sawada's reactions to the parcel that came in at the dead of night yesterday. Now was his chance to gouge some information from the brunette before him. So he waited silently, as if he were a predator watching his prey. Which in a way... was pretty ironic.

Tsuna on the other hand, had a growing feeling in his stomach. The texture of the fabric was the same as his back in Italy... A small but complicated flame design that was stitched on the left side was exactly the same as the one his robe had. It wasn't until he read the name stitched on the collar of the orange robe, that he realized that it was truly his. His chocolate brown orbs widened at his discovery.

Tsuna faced Reborn, eyes still wide. "Where did you get this?"

"In the mail."

"Was there a letter attached to it?"

"No."

Tsuna narrowed his eyes, surprising Reborn with the bright orange color that swirled in the once chocolate orbs. But they soon disappeared, leaving him with piercing brown orbs. "You're lying."

Reborn was indeed lying.

But it was worth it. He got to see the calm brunette more in depth. It was as if he tore through sheep skin - more like bunny skin - and caught a glimpse of the wolf - more like lion - underneath it.

"I was just joking." He flicked the letter towards Tsuna, easily covering up for his lie. It seemed the brunette was in control of his intuition. A true Vongola heir.

Tsuna snorted. "You don't seem like the one who would joke around. In fact you suck at jokes."

"Don't push yourself, Uccellino."

"Says the number one hitman in the world."

"How would you know that?"

"Oh please, you're throwing that around when talking to Tonari. I would be surprised if you weren't the type to gloat around about your position."

"Who would have thought that you would have a sharp tongue."

"Your point?"

"Cielo would be disappointed."

"He's the one I learned from, including his sharp tongue."

It was amazing at how much Reborn seemed to rub the brunette the wrong way. The mask of innocence and calm collectiveness was stripped, leaving behind the core.

And he was loving it.

In fact, Cielo did a fine job. Speaking of Cielo, he had thought the man had went on an adventure to find a partner for life. Looks like he was still paranoid about women, if he had abducted a child. Much less a newborn.

Reborn's puzzle seemed to have pieces attached, piecing together a story on what the brunette's background was like. Yet it still wasn't complete yet, leaving the boy in an even more shrouded mystery than before. He smirked, the puzzle was still in the beginning phases after all.

Tsuna ignored Reborn in favor of putting his robe on. He sighed contently at the warmth it provided. "Just like always... though I do wonder why Papa sent this in the mail..."

"Why don't you read the letter and find out?" Reborn suggested, taking out his vibrating cellphone. Looking down at the caller ID, the hitman clicked his tongue. "He's calling at a time like this?"

"Who's calling?" Tsuna asked with interest. But was seemingly ignored.

Reborn answered his phone. "Ciaossu, Baka-Iemitsu."

Tsuna stayed silent in order to hear the conversation on the other side. It wasn't hard to, since the caller was seriously loud. "Hey Reborn! How are you doing? Do you like it there? How's my son doing? How's Nana? Do you like her cooking? A—"

"Shut up, Baka-Iemitsu, you're hurting my ear with your nonsensical yelling."

"Aw don't be shy! You miss me don't you?"

Tsuna made a face, but continued to listen.

"Get to the point, otherwise I'll personally go over there and kill you myself."

"Don't be so uptight, Reborn! I'm headed for home tomorrow! I'll be seeing you earlier than expected!"

"... So you're saying that you'll be coming to Namimori, Japan?"

"Ahahahaha! Where else could home be, my friend."

"Don't lump me with you, we're associates." Reborn drawled. "And what is your reason of coming home so early?"

"To see my sons of course! Ah! I should also tell you Nono is coming along as well, though I'm not sure about his Guardians..."

"What?! Nono is coming along as well?"

"Yeah, that's what I said didn't I? Oh! I gotta go! See ya~" Reborn scowled as Iemitsu hung up on him.

Tsuna spoke up. He wanted answers and he wanted them now. "So... who was on the phone?"

"Your blood father." The hitman answered. Realization hit him a second later. "Someone's told your father about you, otherwise he wouldn't have come home on an unexpected trip."

"My dad huh..." The gravity defying haired brunette spoke, his eyes shining. "So cool! I finally get to meet him!"

Reborn warily looked at the sparkling brunette, wondering if he would be disappointed in his father or just plain oblivious and idolize him. He would place money on the former decision.

Even though Iemitsu loved his family, he couldn't afford to go visit them yearly. One of his infamous complaints was that the paperwork would just keep growing and obstruct his way on seeing his family. Though that was just a way to slacken the amount of paperwork given to him. The blonde would then take advantage of the few amounts of paperwork given to him, saying that they were important documents that needed to be read thoroughly. He would then forget about his family, in order to catch some sleep that he missed the night before.

Instead of stating his thoughts, which the said hitman would never do, he retorted. "The question now would be, who was the one who informed your father."

"Kaa-san was probably the one." Tsuna shrugged in response.

"And how would you know that?"

"Intuition I suppose. Now tell me, who is this Nono?"

Reborn just looked at the brunette, debating on whether he should tell him or not. After a few minutes of debating, the former decision won the battle. "He is your supposed Grandpa, from your father's side, and he is also your father's Boss. The current Don for the Vongola Famiglia. Apparently he is also coming with your father, here in Namimori Japan, to check up on you as well."

He couldn't help but add another witty comment. "And if I'm not mistaken, Cielo should have taught you the etiquette that is required in the Mafia world?"

The statement rang clearly, leaving no room for any arguments. Tsuna hummed. "It was a pain, but I managed to get by."

Reborn smirked, but it was soon lost with the next statement the brunette spoke.

"Though I have my slips from time to time."

A murderous aura was palpable in the air. Tsuna played oblivious, pretending he hadn't said something that pissed the hitman off. Checking the time, the brunette chugged his glass of water and headed upstairs. "Well then, I better get ready for school."

He left Reborn to his own devices. He pulled his fedora down to shadow his eyes, one of the frequent signs in outwardly showing anyone that the baby was scheming up plans. The usual smirk graced his lips. "Looks like preparations are in order."
